Get your shit together. And teach your employees the correct process so customer are not lied to and charged extra for doing what was told to me. Plus the head ache of being given a truck that was buried in the back of the lot and changing contract multiple times. And tires missing chunks of sidewall and told they wouldn't do anything to fix was told to drive it had over 700 mile trip to make. Last time I use uhaul for moving service.Thomas V.
Was told to leave car â€œas isâ€ because of how busy the return line was. Brought the blankets in with my wife man at counter said leave everything in the car. Left blankets in the car. Now I'm charged 25 bucks for leaving blankets in the car. Which was what the man told me and my wife to do. It would be nice to have had better instructions what to expect upon delivery. The assistant was busy with another truck, took my trailer off the hitch, but never talked to me that I could leave and I'd be emailed the receipt.Pam C.

Return was difficult. Waited with truck over 20 minutes. Went inside and there were no customers and 5 people at the counter just goofing off. One guy was working returns and helping people get their trailer hooked up. He left two trucks running and doors open the entire time i waited. Wasting gas. Pick up was also difficult. Had to back truck out myself and was parked so close I couldn't open the door to get in and had to turn in my mirrors and the truck next to me. I never got an email receipt after return. No refund for less mileage or overfill of gas on return. But you sure emailed me this survey. So you have my email correct. I should be glad someone showed up to work at all i guess.leanne S.

The customer service could improve greatly. I experienced rude employee interaction and poor transparency. I wish I had transparency with mileage used on the vehicle because I had to spend another 130 dollars because I was moving to a rural area which is a good distance away from the drop off location.ryan G.
Attendant was very rude, yelled at everyone, employees and customers. The truck had a headlight that was out, and the engine light kept coming on. The box truck was cramped next to other trucks, and you could barely get into the driver's door. Backing out was a tight squeeze with the mirrors almost touching the next truck. The drive out flow route was blocked with other parked trucks, and I had to back out down the parking lot not hitting any parked cars including having to block the entrance to get out of the UHaul location.MELODY T.
There were two staff members working. One talked very loud and was kind of obnoxious. The other was very quiet. I was extremely pleased with this facility. 2 days earlier I was at the Santa Fe location. Was so up set with the situation and staff I walked out and canceled my reservation. The rear turn signal lights on the first cargo van that I picked up were not working and the van had a bad smell in it. I had to return the vehicle and they gave me a cleaner working van. The first van should not have been on the lot for rent.Faith A.

Customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. I got told to go back to my car TWICE even though I had shown up at my proper reservation time. They said to just sit and wait until I see another truck. They swore countless times and complained how they were more upset than I was, even though I was the one waiting. They made disgustingly inappropriate jokes to a male coworker to "go in the back and play with himself." I deeply regret giving them my service. The most unprofessional business I've ever been to. I will go out of my way to avoid Uhaul businesses from here on out.Sam M.

Had issues before I even arrived to check into my unit. Prepaid online. They couldn't find me in the system when I arrived at facility. Than signed me up for a new unit that I paid for only they didn't attach my name to it. Got a call 2 weeks later when they couldnt figure out who it belonged to. Got charged late fees. Was told by a manager that i didn't have to pay rent for July 17th because my move out was the 29th. Only to be charged another late fee and told otherwise. Told I had to talk to the main manager who I could never get a hold of. I called several times in 7 days only to be put on hold for over 15min. each time. When I couldn't get a hold of the manager I was told to talk to i went there in person. The manager did not want to be bothered and walked away as fast as he arrived. I have worked in customer service for sometime. I understand staff shortages and long hours. Almost every person I interacted with was unhappy. I know it is really tough to staff locations right now, but the experience was not great. When checking in to get the van, I was told I was lucky to be there or they would have given the van to somebody else. I was 8 minutes after our pickup time. The customer service person primarily talked about how bad she needed a cigarette and walked away after I finished while other people were in line after me. On pickup and drop off I had to wait for other customers that were working thru a long discussion around the storage rental. Maybe have those customers work with other staff on those more detailed issues and another line for truck rentals. Next the air conditioning did not work. Neither employees that I mentioned it to even said "sorry" or made any comment. Then they rudely said that they would have to let the manager review it. Why can't there be more immediate action to something that was not reviewed prior to rental?Brad B.

The employee assisting me upon equipment pick-up, and the same person upon returning equipment the next day, complained the entire time about not being able to take a break to "pee" and everything else she could think of. The trailer had good tires and all the lights worked. The only issue was the trailer brake was missing the cover and splattered brake fluid on my car. I fabricated a cover using shipping tape, so it was easily resolved. The trailer worked great and the staff was very cheerful and helpful! And the prices for hitch receivers and moving supplies were excellent. There was a long line at checkout but the return was quick and easy! Would be nice to have 2 lines, one for those with reservations and one for walk-ins and people who just need to purchase supplies.harry M.

The units listed as available in the office, were not available. I went up to the third floor and locks were on both 'available' rooms. Spent a good 25 minutes waiting to get another open unit while the employee physically went up to check on 3 more supposedly available units. Improvements need to be made in inventory control and updates. Customers shouldn't be inconvenienced, especially if they have limited time to accomplish multiple trips to and from the storage location in one day. I'm moving soon and it's stressful enough without more issues like that. Is it human error? Your inventory system? I don't know. Staff was kind and apologetic but here shouldn't be a need to apologize in the first place. Only thing making it more palatable is the first month is free.Elizabeth K. | Premières impressions
There are never enough people working at this facility. You are never able to reach someone on the telephone. If you need to speak to someone you have to go there in person because nobody ever answers the phone. There are typically only one to two people working so you wait a significant amount of time before being helped. In the time that I rented there, somewhere around a year give or take, I had set up automatic payments and twice the information got deleted and I was charged late fees because they said that I didn't pay. To which I had to go in to the facility in person to straighten out where the late fees were then reversed because it was U-Hauls there not mine. The original location i chose was 5 to 10 mins away from my location. I was given a new location the day before pick-up and the new location was about 50 mins each way. When i called to try to get a closer location, the customer service representative could not help me. When transferred to a different representative, she was extremely rude, unprofessional and hung up on me. The person at the U-Haul location was rude and the most unprofessional person i ever met. The 3 customers behind me stated the same thing. The truck i received was parked after being used from the previous night. It had items still in the back, missing gas cap, a 1/4 of tank of gas, when "I" checked the oil level it was low, 3 trailer clearance lights were out and i was told those lights were not important, windshield was full of bugs and dirty. The truck and trailer made it to the location with no issues. At the drop off location the person was professional but needs training on how to check in returned equipment. I had to assist him with his U-Haul provided tablet. It took over 45 mins for check in. The customer service I encountered was unprofessional and the worst i have ever experienced. I would recommend the equipment but not the service.Mark D.

I believe the documentation between myself, the location's manager, the regional director, the moving company hired by the location's manager, and Uhaul's corporate legal department clearly outlines my sentiments about Uhaul and this location in particular. I will never again do business with Uhaul anywhere nor will I recommend it to anyone I know. Rather, I will urge them to avoid using your services. I couldn't move out soon enough. These strong, negative sentiments of the Uhaul brand that have left a lasting and permanent impression are due to one man, this location's manager. One man. A disrespectful bully, liar, manipulator, and truly a man without honor. Losing one singular customer is probably not important to a corporation the size of Uhaul. But trust me, the damage one woman can do by word of mouth and on social in the future can be impactful in an area like south Denver. I've never written words like I just did on any review in my life. And I didn't like writing them. I tend to only write about the positive things I find in an experience. So please don't dismiss my comments as a one-off disgruntled woman. This situation went far beyond anything that is acceptable in any arena of life. ONE MAN sullied your brand and your reputation. And he's still managing unhappy employees and unhappy customers who have come in contact with him. It is really amazing what you hear in an elevator. One man. The lady that helped ring us up was rude and short. She also forgot the mattress cover 3 times. There was another lady that was helping another customer and she also was being short with them. She asked if they had a reservation and they said no then she immediately said they had to leave and make a reservation. They said they just needed a trailer and then she helped get them one. They also submitted that I returned with less gas, I have a picture of when I turned it in and it is exactly as I picked it up. They also never mentioned about folding the blankets nor is it written on the equipment contract or anywhere else and then put a fee for how the equipment was returned.Miguel C.

The staff are very rude and condescending. Constantly complaining while offering no solution to any problem. They parked their cars in front of the loading dock and came oit to complain about us having to drive in front of their cars, sideways, on the loading dock because the trailer we were supposed to have wasn't available so we had to load my minivan up with the storage unit contents. Whats the point of a reservation anyways? I drove 900 miles from where I moved to to clean out my unit. I made a trailer rental reservation 30 days ahead of time and the day before im supposed to pick it up, they switch it to a later time that same day. Very busy location. Employee turnover probably biggest problem. Helpful when there were problems; just had too much experience with problems. Confusion in record keeping, etc. They work hard, and can be nice, fix issues when they can. They MUST improve logistics. Then when I showed up they didn't have any record of my reservation and had sold out of the available size. They tried to offer me two smaller units but it wasn't enough to fit my materials. Added 24 hour access.... first access worked after hours... second access did not work...attempted contact with customer service they didn't have the ability to give me access, did not establish contact with the manager, and did not offer any type of compensation, they were no help... manager durrell middleton did not answer to help nor had alternate options to resolve the issue at the time of the dispute... Was not able to access MY stuff needed and caused anxiety attack with my autism. Customer service was great at the storage location and it is a good deal with the first month free; however after the first month anything bigger than a 5 X 5 is very expensive. I will pay over $185/mn for my 10 X 10. The other problem I had with the physical location was how hot it was in the storage facility. The A/C was on but it felt very warm when we were moving our items in the unit. UHaul can make the temperature more comfortable for their movers in the facilities. Customer service on the phone was awful with long wait times, disconnection, drop off location confusion, and poor willingness to clear up the problem. This was all a huge mess. I reserved (2) 15'x10' storage units to arrive at the site and find (6) 5'x10' units as if that is the same thing. Things do not fit as well into smaller areas, and they cost me more for the same space. The general manager of this location did nothing to make it better and I was unable to ever even get ahold of him. The general manager also seems to be a bit of a gate keeper so it is a bigger issue than it might otherwise be. The staff is super helpful when they have the power to be, but getting the proper price rate is not in their ability to provide. I failed to get ahold of him for 8 weeks while I was renting those 6 storage units. I was told that he was the only one that could honor the price I was quoted when reserving online. 6 office visits (he never works) and 3 unreturned voicemails later, I overpaid by a couple hundred dollars, so I don't really care about how clean the facility or friendly the staff is, they can't get it above average. The manager had told me he would price match my unit. However, the process required a minimum of 3 calls a month to make payment due to all of the approvals I had to go through. I got lien notices almost every month due to the managers delay. I did not enjoy my time at uhaul. Probably won't ever rent from uhaul again. I found storage rates at $66 for a indoor 10x10. First, Id like to say that the manager, Durrell, was awesome! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, each of the three times I encountered him, and he's the reason I'm choosing above average. One of those times, involved a problem. He was incredibly busy that day, but didn't let that affect his level of service. We pay attention to customer service. Good service can be so hard to find, especially when tips aren't involved. Honestly, 3 of the above questions should be made into two, because the facility can be secure, but not well lit. Staff can be helpful, but not friendly. A question pertaining to safety should be added as well. The code to access the building containing the storage unit did not work on either of the two occassions we needed to access the unit in the early evening.David C. | Expérience générale
For a few years, we were very satisfied with U-Haul. For the past few months, the security system has not been fully functional. We have not been able to have after-hours access and exits/entrances have not being fully monitored/tracked making us trust the security less than before. We found another facility with a jumbo storage unit equal to the size of our 2 large U-Haul units, costing $160 less per month than U-Haul, and with fully functioning security plus after-hours access. Unfortunately, U-Haul did not cancel our units when requested. We moved out, cleaned our units, removed our locks, and cancelled our units in early Feb 2021. It took repeated attempts through mid-March to get the charges and late fees to stop being charged to us. I rated overall experience "Average" based on our early years. Most of the staff are "Average" or lower and a few are "Poor" but there is one manager who is "Above Average" and he was very helpful to us. Issue was that people parked truck in a way which took up two lanes/spaces in loading/unloading area/dock. When it was reported, noone made them correct it. We had a death in the family on 11/24. We called before being billed for next month and asked if the month would be pro rates if we moved out 4 days late. We were told by GM we would get credit for the days from 12/5 to 12/29. When we went to the facility on 12/4 Durrell told us no proration was allowed.
