Corporate needs to get their act together as in two cases the rear freight door of the rental showed advanced signs of rust and neglect in the door track, the rollers themselves, and the hinge/bearing. Another unit was rented to me with only 3000 miles, it had its right mirror seriously misadjusted and tightened so tight that I couldn't adjust it. IE - - not maintained. Conclusion: pretty bad for three rentals in two different facilities in less than 30 days. Rather than loosen the set screw, the employee just muscled the mirror and this damages the ability for anyone else to easily adjust it as the mirror assembly has been forced. As far as door maintenance, according to a U-Haul employees, the computer shows the maintenance required and they dismissed my concern. What kind of corporate rubbish is this? Apparently employees and customers don't have a say? U-Hauls with a hitch install bay could cleanup the trucks and rust if Corporate authorized the time. Same with the rear latch, the ramp roller mechanisms etc. Why not empower everyone to spend the hour to maintain the fleet? You are not providing easy-running lubed equipment that people can trust. Obviously people are not being rewarded for maintenance and customer support. One person went on smoke break at exactly 12:00 despite the line of customers. Supplies used to always be superior at U-Haul. You are selling crummy clear tape on your tape dispensers and replacement rolls. Your rolls are half the size of the ones at SAMS. Theirs are cheaper. Your rolls are 1/4 the strength of normal tape as well. To weak for dish pack bottoms or book boxes to be safely sealed. The turnover of employees at locations is high. I am upset that U-Haul corporate is allowing this to happen. To all of this, what is your planned action? nielsen03@att.net

Very difficult to get ahold of someone by phone at the location. I get it, at times it can be very busy which in turn means the phone goes unanswered.

The van was very nice and clean. Only problem was one rear tire was low, by about 15 pounds. All the tires will filled to different pressures. I went back in the facility and let them know but was told the compressor was broken and that it would be fine. I was not comfortable with this and ended up putting aire in myself at a gas station. Unfortunate the digital air pumps don't go as high as what is needed. It was better than nothing. I have rented twice from this location recently and have otherwise been very pleased.

I was disappointed the guy waiting on me gave me the key and sent me to get my own truck. I didn't appreciate having to find the truck myself. In the past they always had the truck pulled up the the door for us to use. I felt it was him being lazy. Honestly I don't know if I'll rent a van or truck from this location if this is what happens when you get a van.

Why does uhaul need to have a customer verified? Why does Uhaul demeen a customer? No other rental agency does this!. The act of standing in front of a Uhaul representintive asking for an individual to call @0730 to verify who i am. All i needed was a simple cargo vehicle to move an elderly parent. Some background - we utilized U-Haul U-Boxes to move our belongings across the country to the Dayton, OH area. The pods were supposed to be delivered to our apartment complex on Friday, 10/30. By Friday afternoon we had not heard from U-Haul at all about our pods, and after calling customer service we found out this location's forklift had been down and our pods would not be able to be delivered to us until an unknown future date. I understand things like this happen but it was unacceptable for us to have to call U-Haul ourselves to find out the status of our belongings when U-Haul made a commitment to us to have them delivered on that date. Customer service was rude and unapologetic about the issue, and no one wanted to take accountability for missing our delivery date. Because we needed our belongings, we ended up having to rent a U-Haul truck, move all of our items from the U-Boxes to the truck, and drive the truck to our new apartment, all at our own expense because U-Haul has been unable to compensate us for their mistake of not being able to deliver the U-Boxes on the originally scheduled date. Overall this has made for an extremely stressful move, and I am most disappointed in the customer service we have received throughout the entire process.

Wanted 10' or 15' truck. Tons of trucks on the lot but I couldn't get one. All were spoken for so they said. When I turned the Cargo van back in still trucks everywhere but yet I couldn't get one. Also when I got in the van gas tank was only on three quarters of the way full. That means I had to eat it I got screwed because I had to fill the van back up.

Initially this was the location I reserved a U-Haul. In the mix of moving I arrived late to pick up the truck I reserved. I completely understand it was my fault and I take full responsibility on my behalf. I was told by an employee that after an hour reservations are cancelled and any equipment that was held can be reserved by another customer. I'm not 100% positive but I do not recall reading that information anywhere on the app which is how I reserved the truck I needed. The employee that assisted me offered no other resolutions to help me find the truck I needed or any other truck for that matter which in my opinion isn't very good customer service. When I arrived at this particular location there was a line of 5 customers and no employees in sight to assist the customers. An employee walked inside, made a remark about the line then went back into a employee lounge where 2 more employees emerged to help. I would estimate that I was waiting in line 15 min. before any employees were present. As I said before, I totally understand that I was at fault for arriving late for my reservation however the lack of customer service was something that I feel should be improved at this location. Other then that ordeal, dropping the truck off was a breeze.

The manager Samantha was very rude. It was raining at our pick up time and they didn't have the truck near the entrance for easy access. I rent from this location quite often and the truck has always been there for pick up with the dolly loaded. That didn't happen this time and she handed me the keys and said it's parked in section stand the number on your key is your truck number. When I asked her why the truck wasn't brought up she ignored me and when I asked about the dolly all I got was they our outside the front door? She was rude, had and attitude and definitely was not customer friendly. We were emptying out a storage unit into the truck and after the truck was 1/2 full I realized there was a hole in the truck roof and it was raining. When I went to let them know And see what they could do all She said was well we can see if we can caulk it; While she was playing in her phone. Well the other employee Dwayne came down to help and he didn't have any caulk but he did cover it for us and let us use the blankets to cover our items at no charge to us. He was very helpful; Samantha in the other hand needs customer service skills. If I ever need to rent from This location again and she is working, I will definitely ask for someone else To help me. Also, when I came to drop off the truck The next day, I walked in and I over heard her talking to other employees about the truck we had and she said “she didn't want u load and load another truck because they were almost done. So the truck she has has a hole in the roof”. No I didn't want to unload the uhaul because we were already wet from Trying to find our truck in the rain instead of her lazy self having The truck up under the tent for us to pick up. She was just plain rude.

You can hold truck for more than 30 minutes or at least call to verify. I had truck for 2 days and they dropped it to one. I ended up spending more than 300 with U-Haul. This was ridiculous, and I believe, planned.

The staff seemed more concerned with talking with each other than helping customers. I mentioned that I reserved a truck for Troy and afterwards I got notified that it was switched to vandalia. On my way to vandalia I got a notification that I was switched to Huber heights. I asked about returning to Troy whee I initially made the reservation and was told no. I asked if I could have some mileage adjusted as this was far from my location and again they said no. I felt I was over charged mileage and it was not my fault:

The truck pickup truck we rented was filthy both inside and out. I was shocked and extremely disappointed with the condition of the vehicle. We were using the truck to pick up and transport new furniture. We had to clean out the truck bed ourselves before using it so that our furniture wasn't damaged. I'm greatly disappointed. We mentioned all of this to the customer service agent at the store location. He was extremely polite and apologetic, but sadly after the fact it still didn't matter much to me. I expect better when paying for equipment from U-Haul.

This location was busy as well. Inspection of trailer upon return was also minimal. Customers should not have to park your trailers for you. Use a forklift or powered dolly and stripe your trailer parking area.

The on- duty clerk/manager and her team were was not helpful. I went into the store at my scheduled time and both attendants were in the bathroom. I was was unable to pick my vehicle on time because they said U-Haul computers were down nationwide. They told me there was nothing they could do. I ended up calling the Hillsboro store, whose networks were up, who told me to call corporate or do Mobile dispatch. The Brandt Pike U-Haul office was unwilling to provide me any information regards to Mobile dispatch. I picked up my truck 3 hours late. The Brandt Pike General Manager was unreachable and was unable to assist.

Educate/update your stupid stupid policy of when the customer over fills the gas tank bc you decide to provide a tank at half or 3/4 and we accidentally refill all the way that you have no policy in place to Reimburse that to the customer. Its common sense that the policy needs immediately fixed and shows the lack of education and true value Uhaul has of its customers.

Service to pick up vehicle is always slow. Vehicles are dirty in the inside — always. I took a wet napkin to wipe down the steering room and it was filthy — food crumbs everywhere

I told the attendant that I had a corporate account, he told me he couldn't find it so I paid with my company card because I desperately needed the van right away. I then asked him to check the surrounding area for available vans and he told me they could not do that. I have always had positive experiences with this location in the past. I believe the attendant there could benefit from more training.

Mobile check-in process is broken. I reserved a vehicle, went to the location at the correct time. Used the uhaul app to upload my photo and photos of my driver's license. I then received instructions regarding the vehicle location but the key was not in the vehicle. I went inside and had to show proof of which vehicle before receiving the key. When I returned the vehicle, I waited for about 10 minutes with the vehicle; then, I was told that my reservation was still in the system and showing I was late. I then had to re-accomplish a rental contract in the store, which could have been done in the first place without having to jump through unnecessary hoops.

I was told at time of rental that once the contract was closed a refund would be issued at a prorated rate for time not used. That’s why I moved from my previous storage unit to UHaul. I have been a customer for 3 years. I made my payment on the 23rd and moved out on the 26th and was told sorry no can do. Total of 3 days used. I will never rent or refer anyone to rent from uhaul again as we were lied to. I would like someone for corporate to contact me with regards to this issue at 937-409-3587

So we went in and just double checked to make sure everything was ready before we went to the unit. Plus i didn't know where it was so i needed directions since the online map was broken. Scott was really nice and very helpful. He showed us the demo unit to make sure i got the right one and even walked us to the unit and showed us how to get in and what to do after hours, which wasn't in the instructions online. He also made sure we had a lock because there wasn't one in the unit and he got us a swipe card and made sure it worked for us.

Made a reservation for a storage unit on July 18 or 19 for the 22nd. Came in on the 22nd and computers were down so I couldn't get my unit. Came back on the 23rd 2 same thing,.couldn't get my unit.
