I stood inside for 10 minutes and no one came to help me. I had to hunt someone down. When I found an employee in the garage smoking she said she was new and could not help me. She asked another gentlemen who said he was too busy and just to take my key. This was Thursday at 530 pm-6 pm Thursday. They did not check me in until Sunday. So that was multiple days of me on the phone with customer service since I received a text saying I was overdue. It was not a positive experience.

Overall the experience was good. However, the truck I was driving did have a problem when it rained. The ceiling on the passenger side leaked and the area got wet as did the passenger. So it needs repaired. Thanks

Vehicle was far overdue for service - and was misaligned badly which required excessive attention to the steering wheel position. The staff was less than enthusiastic about everything but you can't ask for much I guess. It worked for what I needed and the price wasn't abhorrent. Maintenance should be improved.

The truck I received was not maintenanced and it caused me to loose almost half of a days travel and an extra night in the hotel. Additionally, the truck was leaning to the right (before being packed) which worsened with packing. Definitely not worth $2200. Moreover, this was my second such rental in the same number of months. I will degrade be looking to rent Penske or Budget the next time for less money!

The person who checked the u-haul out for us was pretty rude. When we brought back the truck back the person working wanted to finish their Mountain Dew and let out a huge belch before helping us. To top that off not only did we clean the inside of a truck that was filthy but we also added gas into it and we were told that there would be extra fuel charge as we didn't add fuel. U-haul has gone downhill and we will find other means of transport when we move again.

They ran my credit card numerous times and charged me $598. I called to speak to the manager but she was to busy and was supposed to call me back to resolve the issue within an hour. Never received a call at all from the manager all day. Poor management and the staff was unpersonable and clueless. I will not rent here anymore.

We used this Uhaul location twice in a matter of weeks. The people are extremely nice both on the phone and in person. We did have an issue with the amount we were charged the second time, however as soon as I called the associate was super nice and took care of it in a matter of minutes. The amount was refunded in just a couple of days and we are just really satisfied with how it was handled.

The Truck I rented was in poor condition: You would think that U-Haul would provide a bit more attention to the condition of one-way, long haul trucks before they send them out to the unawares consumer. 1. On day 2 of my 1,200 mile trip the hood release stopped working. For about 800 miles I could not check the oil or other engine fluids. Not good. 2. The parking brake would not hold the loaded vehicle on a slight incline. The parking brake would go to the floor when pressed down and, as I said, would not hold the loaded truck and trailer on a sloped parking lot. 3. The outer right tire only had a tread depth of 4/32" - that is beyond safe limits for tread depth on a commercial truck. 4. The handle for the seat back adjusted is broken. 5. The mid-dash console was broken, hanging on by the left fastener only. 6. Windshield wiper drivers in poor condition - streaks badly making for poor visibility. 7. The rearview mirrors are not large enough - had to move up and down, left and right to see what was behind me. 8. There was a very annoying, loud squeaking sound the whole trip. VERY, VERY distracting from safe driving. 9. At the beginning of the trip, my departure was delayed by a faulty electrical system related to the trailer connection. 10. There was a major problem loading my Subaru Impreza onto the auto transport trailer. I will send more details in a damage claim to follow.

Both employees who helped with the rental contract revealed lack of understanding, or training on the software used in creating rental contracts, as they made untrue statements regarding the processing. The cargo van issued was dirty, and muddy, both inside and out, and this vehicle only had 6030 miles on it. The employee who received the return was very helpful, and issued a discount, based on the condition of the rental. Not to be totally negative, his efforts to “make it right” will be a decision influence for future rentals.

Customer service from the newly appointed assistant manager was awful. He was very rude and dismissive regarding our concerns. We waited over 15minutes to be assisted because there was no employee present in the store and when another customer stepped outside to get assistance we were told to “hold on”. We were wrongfully overcharged and while attempting to resolve issues employee was very rude and disrespectful. Samantha however was able to resolve the issue within a matter of minutes. I would think communication skills would be a necessary part of his job but apparently he missed that. I will not use this location again & I will suggest that friends and family go else’s where as well.

My issue was not with the branch or the staff. The gentleman on site was making the best of a frustrating situation. I made a reservation with the call center at 2:18 in the afternoon. The call center made the pick up at 3 without any communication. My reservation was then cancelled without any communication with me. The trailer I ordered was then no longer available.

My trailer popped off the hitch on the highway doing 70 mph whipped back and forth in three lanes of rush hour traffic dragging my 12000 lb truck across the highway I didn’t hit anybody but someone could have lost their lives and U-Haul hooked the trailer up said it was good to go and that everything was in working order well something failed so I was stuck on a hill in traffic with cars flying by me for almost a hour using a bottle jack to get my trailer on my truck because the trailers do not have jacks im still pissed and want a refund the over charged me and didn’t put my rental as a one way so now I have to wait to get a lot of money back for the round trip fees complete bullshit never again people go buy a enclosed trailer new and you will still be better off in the long run

My only problems was with the gas expense. I only put 11 miles on the truck and so I put 2 gals. of gas in the truck thinking it would bring the gas gauge back up to where it began, but I did not. According to your computers they wanted me to put 4 more gals. in @ $4 per gal. That would mean that the truck would have gotten 1.833 miles per gal. This was a 10 ft. truck which was suppose to get 6 to 12 miles per gal. depending on how it was loaded and how fast I traveled. The truck was never more than 1/2 full per load and the max. speed was the never more than 35 MPH. I argued with the girl about it and she finally waved the gas extra, but obviously something was wrong with the gauge or the sensor.

I reserved my truck at the beginning of the week and when I went to pick it up, they didn’t have it. So I had to pay the additional money for a larger truck. We load the truck and found the door had a jam and would not close because it hasn’t been properly maintenance and the wire spool for the door assist was unraveled. We waited 90 minutes for a tech to come out to us.

Customer service was a nightmare Promised a Tow Dolly to be delived to Al's BP & TIRE in Covington Ohio on Wednesday for me to pick up on Saturday. Checked on Thursday, still no Tow Dolly. Checked on Friday, still no Tow Dolly. Al's BP & TIRE said Al had called U Haul 5 times that Friday morning and was assured a Tow Dolly would be delivered to them for me to pick up on Saturday morning @ 9:00 AM. I started my 350 mile drive to Covington Ohio. Around 6:00PM on Friday Customer Service called my wife and told her I would have to drive to Dayton to pick up a Tow Dolly. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER AT THIS POINT ! I continued my drive and stayed in Medway Ohio. Saturday called U Haul and still no Tow Dolly in Covington Ohio. I was told I would have to drive to Dayton Ohio to pick up a Tow Dolly... ?? I started to look for a different rental company. When I found that a major U Haul store was in Huber Hights, Ohio. I called them and found that they several Tow Dollies and they where approximately 3 miles from me. Why did U Haul Costomer Service not know this. I for one will not use U Hall again.

We were highly satisfied with this store. However, we had contracted Moving Helpers, which is recommended thru U-Haul. We prepaid for the helpers, was in contact with the movers, First Choice Movers, Cincinnati Oh,several times during the week before and thought I had everything set. We even moved our pickup time to accommodate the moving company. Picked up our truck at 7:45 am, movers we’re supposed to be there at 8:30. When it got to be 10:00 and after several calls to the moving helpers, only to get put to a full mailbox answering message, we figured we were being stood up, No Show!! My husband is 62 and myself 59. Thank goodness for our 23 year old son! The three of us moved a three bedroom house in a 26’ truck. U-Haul can do nothing for you, your at the mercy of Movinghelp.com!! No physical number or person to speak to! I think if movinghelp.com is a referral from U-Haul, they should know what’s going on! We probably will use U-Haul again because they do have the best prices and trucks. We will never use their movinghelp.com ever again! BEWARE!!

Every step of this process was terrible. The guy that did my paperwork was slow, not friendly at all and barely spoke. The truck was not clean and smelled like old stale smoke. The guy did not show me anything on the vehicle or tell me anything about it. The return would have been terrible if I had sat out in the truck and waited for someone to come out because when I went inside after 10 minutes they said their outside camera was down or broken. If that was the case, why wasn't there a note on the sign outside telling people to come in if they were there to return. This location was terrible and if I need Uhaul services in the future, I will not use this location.

When it’s cold outside have employees come in earlier to start the trucks to warm up to melt ice in the back of trucks to be swept out. The truck I rented was terribly dirty in the back and couldn’t be swept out due to the weather. Or either it should be the responsibility of the prior renter to had swept it out before returning. I had to purchase blankets to lay in the back to protect my items. However there customer service was great.

It seems like this location has 1 employee she is wonderful however the facility is not. We rent a small storage unit and when it was 1st opened it was filthy inside. My family and I waited almost 45 minutes for someone to help us because the one employee was hooking up a trailer and no one else was around to help poor girl was almost in tears several times that we've been in trying to help everyone as fast as she could it is an absolute mess over there.

I reserved a 5x9 trailer a week prior and was told it would be ready. I showed today and they didn’t have one available. I was directed to another location 20 minutes away and they weren’t open. I called back to the Huber Hts location and asked if they would rent the bigger one to me. They stated it was an in city rental. I informed them that my rental was in city. The waste of 90 minutes of my day could’ve been avoided by having the right rental as promised or make it right by making it right the first time.

I ran into the same situation this time as I did in October. Twice I called to reserve a truck and both times they did not have one. The reservation center said truck would be ready, I even confirmed that it would be there, reservation said it would be there. In October, I had to go to Brookville to pick up a truck with six guys at my house ready to move me. This time the nice young lady managed to get me a truck because of a person being late for their pickup. The site in huber is great, your reservation center however is horrible.

I waited 4 hours to get a hitch and wiring installed on my car. I went with getting it installed here because I thought it would be quicker than doing it myself but that was not the case. The person doing the install kept coming out and working the front desk since no one else was available. There were times where there was a long line when another employee was working the counter and one was working on my car. With that being said I saw 2 customers walk out since it was taking to long to get waited on, and it was. With that being said after about the 2 hour mark I started to get frustrated seeing all this and still waiting on my car. I had plans I had to cancel Since I decided to wait on my car that should had only taken about 2 hours. I originally had it scheduled for 3:00 pm. I walked in the office about 1:45pm to return the trailer but the person there was busy to serve three customers before me so I told him that I dropped the trailer in the parking lot. He said ok. Now Uhaul sent me a receipt with returned time at 2:33pm and Uhaul charged me for 2 days because I had 25 hrs rental.

Truck I rented seemed past its useful life. At 116,000 miles that's sad. It was beat up and ran poorly. The ramp was warped also. It got the job done, but I wouldn't want it for long hauls or towing. Likely blow a motor.

The customer service we received from the young lady at the counter was anything but friendly. The pre-registration you are prompted to do online prior to pick up was a joke. She couldn’t find my drivers license on there and supposedly it charged us $40 too much. Which, she said was my fault for not selecting her store online, which I had done. She didn’t seem to want to answer questions or speak to us any more than necessary, handed us the pamphlet and kept directing us to uhauls 1800#.
