appointed pickup time set by uhaul was 10am. I didnt get out of parking lot till after 11am. even though contract was confirmed days in advanced when I picked up truck the price of the insurance changed from $14. dollars a day for 2 days to $42. for the 2 days because it was one way which they knew when I initiated the rental days before. Then furniture covers where not in the truck and I had to wait additional time till one of the associates became available to get them for me because they were short handed on a Saturday morning.

I was not made aware of the fact that the driver would require a verbal consent before bringing the containers out on the pre-arranged date. I was at work when she called, so I was not able to retrieve the message in a timely manner. Therefore, the delivery had to be rescheduled. When I called (twice) to have the empty containers picked up, the driver called to ask if I was ready to have the containers picked up. It just appears that the communication within the company is in need of improvement.

Jeremy and his staff were very professional and helpful. The hitch and wiring were installed quickly. I appreciated their attention to detail. My only issue was when I set appt. online, I was told I could bring vehicle to UHaul at 7 am and wait for install. This is not true. Every location has their own guidelines and hours which the website didn't explain. I suggest putting that somewhere on the site so others don't arrive at location only to find installs don't start until later in morning. Again, I am pleased with the staff at the Huber Heights location.

Overall it was a very nice experience. The only issue that I had was that the call center scheduled me for a day when there wasn’t anybody available to put my hitch on. As far as the store itself everyone was great.

The return of my truck has been an absolute nightmare. I called this location and spoke with Jamie yesterday at 7:10 am she informed me that everything would be ok with me not being able to check out via the app the evening before on Sunday. She told me that there would not be any additional charges because there will be policy of a 50.00 charge soon if you do not complete the return via the app but it is not in place at this time. She informed me that I would receive a email in a couple of hours with the return receipt attached she was getting ready to complete the returns there. By 12noon I still did not have a confirmation email from this location. I called customer care and voiced my concerns and the rep stated that she was going to send them a message to call me when the return was processed. The customer care rep also informed me that she saw that my rental was not due back until Tuesday at 10 am??? I questioned this information with her on the phone and she informed me they must have given me an extra day in order for the location to complete the return due to them being busy without charge to me???? (Please note I was on hold for over 20 minutes to speak to a rep in customer care) Upon closing the call with the rep I voiced this this experience is unacceptable and Requested to speak with a manager to document everything. The rep apologized and told me that I would have to be transferred to customer service. (Please note that required me to be on hold for another 20 minutes) Via customer service I spoke with Connie that communicated to me she was a manager. She documented my concerns and told me someone would be giving me a call back when the return was processed. Later that afternoon I finally received my return email with an attached receipt showing I was billed for an additional day for a rate of 40.00 with 3.00 tax. This is Unacceptable what is going on here. It is almost 8:49 am on Tuesday and I still have not received a return call and my card was charged. Please call me back this is unacceptable U-haul I am so disappointed with this experience.I chose U-Haul because I consider you the best of the best.I had a storage unit with you from Jan 2018 to June 26, 2019. To close out my unit and rent a truck for over 400.00 clearly shows my dedication to this company! I have a expectation to be treated fairly because I have been loyal to this company!

My initial experience was great but the next day I picked up a trailer. I showed staff pictures of the truck I had rented the previous day where it had an obvious leak and asked it to be caulked. I was told it took up to 24 hours for the caulk to seal and he still didn’t offer for it to be sealed. All he said is maybe the drop off would offer me a refund.

OK, so this entire U-box thing was a complete mess. The container arrived on time, but everything after that was a disaster. It wasn't picked up on time and no one could reach the driver to figure out why. I had to fly half way across the country with no answers as to when my stuff would even be picked up from my old house. Thankfully it did make it, but then the head aches started all over again. I had to call over 15 times over 3 weeks to finally get in touch with someone who could help me set up a time to unload my box, only to find out I had been scheduled a pick up day already that no one had notified me of. Thankfully I caught it before the date passed and was able to get it changed. I then drove over 2 hours away to pick up my belongings only to find out the address Uhaul had given me was incorrect. Apparently, according to the people who work there "it happens all the time", because the location they are stored is not a listed Uhaul location and the address can't even be found by searching for Uhaul or U-box locations in that area. Thankfully they had the address and we were able to find it after being run around Fort Collins all day. Over the course of the three weeks my things were stored I was completely in the dark about where they even were or when I could access the container. I sent emails and tried the online chats only to be told I had to contact the uhaul site directly. But it wasn't even the site that had my stuff and in three weeks they never answered their phone to tell me that. It was finally someone from the rental center that was able to set up a time for me. This isn't really the fault of the Huber Heights location, or the location in Fort Collins. Just uhaul in general and their poor communication and customer service. I can say that when I finally reached people who could help, they were great. And Tony who brought me my box was awesome. But other than that, the entire experience was a nightmare and I can honestly say I will never use the U-Box service again.

Have the vehicle ready with auto transport when the pickup time is approaching. We waited an hour and a half to have the vehicle and auto transport brought out front to us. It really cut into our moving time.

I have received emails from Uhaul and thy are trying to charge me for an extra day and insurance. They have now sent another email with a contact attached that does not match the one I signed (higher rates, etc). I am glad 1. I kept my contact that was given to me upon leaving with the vehicle Saturday morning and 2. That I took pictures upon return Saturday night. The behavior at this location is appalling. At this point I would NEVER use them again!

I stood inside for 10 minutes and no one came to help me. I had to hunt someone down. When I found an employee in the garage smoking she said she was new and could not help me. She asked another gentlemen who said he was too busy and just to take my key. This was Thursday at 530 pm-6 pm Thursday. They did not check me in until Sunday. So that was multiple days of me on the phone with customer service since I received a text saying I was overdue. It was not a positive experience.

Vehicle was far overdue for service - and was misaligned badly which required excessive attention to the steering wheel position. The staff was less than enthusiastic about everything but you can't ask for much I guess. It worked for what I needed and the price wasn't abhorrent. Maintenance should be improved.

The truck I received was not maintenanced and it caused me to loose almost half of a days travel and an extra night in the hotel. Additionally, the truck was leaning to the right (before being packed) which worsened with packing. Definitely not worth $2200. Moreover, this was my second such rental in the same number of months. I will degrade be looking to rent Penske or Budget the next time for less money!

The person who checked the u-haul out for us was pretty rude. When we brought back the truck back the person working wanted to finish their Mountain Dew and let out a huge belch before helping us. To top that off not only did we clean the inside of a truck that was filthy but we also added gas into it and we were told that there would be extra fuel charge as we didn't add fuel. U-haul has gone downhill and we will find other means of transport when we move again.

We used this Uhaul location twice in a matter of weeks. The people are extremely nice both on the phone and in person. We did have an issue with the amount we were charged the second time, however as soon as I called the associate was super nice and took care of it in a matter of minutes. The amount was refunded in just a couple of days and we are just really satisfied with how it was handled.

The Truck I rented was in poor condition: You would think that U-Haul would provide a bit more attention to the condition of one-way, long haul trucks before they send them out to the unawares consumer. 1. On day 2 of my 1,200 mile trip the hood release stopped working. For about 800 miles I could not check the oil or other engine fluids. Not good. 2. The parking brake would not hold the loaded vehicle on a slight incline. The parking brake would go to the floor when pressed down and, as I said, would not hold the loaded truck and trailer on a sloped parking lot. 3. The outer right tire only had a tread depth of 4/32" - that is beyond safe limits for tread depth on a commercial truck. 4. The handle for the seat back adjusted is broken. 5. The mid-dash console was broken, hanging on by the left fastener only. 6. Windshield wiper drivers in poor condition - streaks badly making for poor visibility. 7. The rearview mirrors are not large enough - had to move up and down, left and right to see what was behind me. 8. There was a very annoying, loud squeaking sound the whole trip. VERY, VERY distracting from safe driving. 9. At the beginning of the trip, my departure was delayed by a faulty electrical system related to the trailer connection. 10. There was a major problem loading my Subaru Impreza onto the auto transport trailer. I will send more details in a damage claim to follow.

Both employees who helped with the rental contract revealed lack of understanding, or training on the software used in creating rental contracts, as they made untrue statements regarding the processing. The cargo van issued was dirty, and muddy, both inside and out, and this vehicle only had 6030 miles on it. The employee who received the return was very helpful, and issued a discount, based on the condition of the rental. Not to be totally negative, his efforts to “make it right” will be a decision influence for future rentals.

Customer service from the newly appointed assistant manager was awful. He was very rude and dismissive regarding our concerns. We waited over 15minutes to be assisted because there was no employee present in the store and when another customer stepped outside to get assistance we were told to “hold on”. We were wrongfully overcharged and while attempting to resolve issues employee was very rude and disrespectful. Samantha however was able to resolve the issue within a matter of minutes. I would think communication skills would be a necessary part of his job but apparently he missed that. I will not use this location again & I will suggest that friends and family go else’s where as well.

My issue was not with the branch or the staff. The gentleman on site was making the best of a frustrating situation. I made a reservation with the call center at 2:18 in the afternoon. The call center made the pick up at 3 without any communication. My reservation was then cancelled without any communication with me. The trailer I ordered was then no longer available.

My trailer popped off the hitch on the highway doing 70 mph whipped back and forth in three lanes of rush hour traffic dragging my 12000 lb truck across the highway I didn’t hit anybody but someone could have lost their lives and U-Haul hooked the trailer up said it was good to go and that everything was in working order well something failed so I was stuck on a hill in traffic with cars flying by me for almost a hour using a bottle jack to get my trailer on my truck because the trailers do not have jacks im still pissed and want a refund the over charged me and didn’t put my rental as a one way so now I have to wait to get a lot of money back for the round trip fees complete bullshit never again people go buy a enclosed trailer new and you will still be better off in the long run

Start to finish, complete disappointment. I had one free month storage because of a one-way rental. However, experience was so bad that I never moved my things in. Got unit on 3/30/19.Closed out 3/31.
