The general manager was rude and unprofessional. Our items were not prepared on time and caused delays with the moving company. However Roger was extremely helpful and did all he could to help rectify the situation. We cancelled our original reservation and purchased a different transport. U-boxes are a joke as well as the alleged notification system the general manager used to notify us. We have zero communication from uhaul or the GM regarding updates to our reservation. She was extremely coarse and unpleasant. Even towards her employees.Brittany B.

Th customer before us did not have their truck back when it was suppose to be. I would suggest maybe scheduling an hour gap or something to make sure the customer returns early enough. The uhaul rep offered us a bigger truck but we didn't want bigger so we got a cargo van instead. Everything worked out but just a little hassle because the 10 inch truck would of worked better for us. We rent once a year for a 5k we set up and we are usually on a time crunch ourselves.Christopher C.

Strike 2! Was charged for 2 gallons of gas that I shouldn't have (I did the math when filling up with the worst possible assumption of 5mpg) last month. I let that go thinking, ah no big deal. Rented a van yesterday, and was charged for 20 some miles, when I had told the rep it would be 10-12 total. He said â€œwanna make it 15, just in caseâ€...I said â€œsureâ€ understanding I would be prorated. The total mileage was 10.7 when returned. Shouldn't have to provide photos of proof, but I did, to receive my credit. PLEASE STOP THE SHENANIGANS AND THIEVERY!Kevin L.

With my 1 way rental I was promised a free month storage unit. Uhaul computer system for storage units was down when I showed up early to get the unit to unload the items I had moved. All I got was sorry there is nothing we can do" and they would not provide a storage unit for me. Uhaul had not lived up to our agreement and still they wanted the truck back on-time. Staff was very rude, gentleman who connected trailer was only concerned if the brake lights and turn signals worked. Did not check that marker lights or license plate light worked. Did not even check trailer overall, I took pictures of all just to be safe. Returned trailer to same location, and again staff was very distant and not friendly. Originally I called the 3rd street location in Dayton, Ohio as I have worked with them before but was made by uhaul to utilize this location as no car trailers were available at the chosen location. This made my rental longer because it being a few miles out of my route. The equipment was in superior condition and more than met my needs. Service was awful across the board. If I could get a trailer as good as uhaul elsewhere I would. Your equipment keeps me coming back, not your service. Infinity thumbs down on service. Thank youMichelle H.

I rented a truck on April 10, 2021 (yesterday) from the Uhaul, Huber Heights, Ohio, Brandt Pike location. I went inside and completed the transaction from the counter with the associate who was working. He took and entered my license and credit card and all other information. He said to just drop the keys in the slot when I returned the truck. When I took possession of the truck, I immediately noticed that the passenger side window was down by aproximately 4 inches. It had been raining heavily that day and was still raining upon pick up. I had brought a towel to wipe down the wood furniture I was going to pick up but used it instead to wipe the totally saturated passenger seat. The floorboard was soaked as well. The truck, obviously, had not been inspected prior to my taking possession. I drove out of the Uhaul lot and down busy state route 202, to interstate 70, to I-675 south and to my destination. I arrived at my destination and backed into the drive. The owners brought to my attention that I had NO rear lights whatsoever! NO BRAKE LIGHTS, no running lights and NO TURN SIGNALS. I called my daughter who then had to drive to where I was, to follow me home. My home route was Interstate 75 North. A very dangerous stretch of highway going through Dayton, even in the best of conditions. It was raining and dark and I had NO rear lights. BY the time I dropped off the truck, I was so anxiety ridden that I was visibly shaking. I am 5'2" and to be driving a large unfamiliar truck which had no rear lights, with people coming very close to the rear and others giving "death looks"(I now know why), was absolutely frightening. My daughter was terrified that if she followed too closely she'd hit me if i had to break suddenly, or if she left too much space, someone else would hit me. It was a very very stressful experience for both of us that could have been avoided with a routine check of the truck. I thank GOD that no one hit me on that dark rainy night! I need you to know exactly how scared I was to be put in that situation. When I dropped off the truck I immediately locked the doors and put the keys in the drop, like I was told at checkout. I got in my car and saw the text link and went to return the truck from my phone. It was only then (I was not told) that I discovered I needed to take a photo of the mileage and fuel gauge(I filled it back up with gasoline while my daughter stayed behind me), therefore, I could not complete the return. I called the next morning but was on hold for 15 min. so I drove back up to the Uhaul store. I informed the kind young man working, about the situation. He said no problem. I then told him about the rear lights and he said it just went back out! I told him to contact those people immediately. He looked very concerned and he said he would call them now and get the truck back and fix the lights. Again, the truck wasn't checked beyond gas and mileage. I am very concerned about safety which is why I purchased the Safe move protection. As of this review, I have contacted customer service 3 times. They tell me the branch manager will contact me but she hasn't. The last contact they told me she checked the truck and found no issues, essentially calling me a liar! Of course there are no issues NOW. I took care of it the next morning! They also said she credited me $50. I have seen NO credit. If there were â€œno issuesâ€ why would she credit me? I've been in customer service, she needs to acknowledge the mistake and make it right. It is very unprofessional for her not to email me. I held off writing this review in hopes the manager would contact me but since it's 13 days later, I felt I needed to send the review. I am hoping a general or district manager will see the seriousness in this and contact me via email.Wendy M.

I always go to Sam when I need help on something from Uhaul, I am a monthly customer. Sam was not there when I picked up and dropped off my trailer this evening but her team was excellent and took care of all of my needs and their customer service was excellentWarren S.
I had to go to 3 different locations to obtain a rental. By the time I got to the last location it was the end of their business day. I was rushed through the paperwork and finally received keys for a rental that was only supposed to be for a day. I moved 3 1/2 hours away and the employee was informed that & want planning on coming back. When I tried to return the vehicle to another location they refused. And then I was refused from another. I was never informed that it had to be returned from where I picked it up. So I had to wait for my next day off to spend the day to have to drive all the way back to drop it off. It was returned it clean & with a completely full tank of gas, which more fuel than it had when rented & is not reimbursed or deducted. A total of $419+ when it should've only been approximately $160. I contacted uhaul corporate & they say its my fault for not reading the small print. Worst customer service, especially with a corporate office, I've ever dealt with in my life. I suggest using budget if you need a rental...may cost a little more, but well worth it.Kelly S.
