Very bad customer service (the girl at the front desk). She doesn't know how to talk to a customer, she also had a lot of attitude. She also told me the car has 3/4'' tank gas, but it was only have a tank gas. It's not the first time this was my 3rd time going there. However I'm not going there at all. The reason I was going there because it was close to me, but I'll drive a mile farther to avoid that location.

The staff was terrible too! Only one gentleman Hispanic man was the only man with respect and great employee! The rest of the staff was not helpful at all and after I paid extra for the loading and unloading of my vehicle to and from the transporter I was told it was my responsibility to remove my car from the transporter! Terrible! I will never ever use U-Haul!

I have no problem with the Location . The overall process though was terrible. What I asked for isn’t what I received as far as terms of service. I was forced to rent in town vs one way which cost me more because I don’t have a car and I had to Uber to and from the locations vs walk because the uhaul that I originally purchased was only in a certain area. Once I arrived I was told I didn’t have a truck assigned and now I have to either Uber to a farther place or rent in town. Frustrated by this I rented in town because I already waited 2 hours on the phone in the freezing cold( because as I said I had to Uber and it was after hours.) Both my destination and start location have uhaul locations in walking distance so I could saved money at least one of the ways by walking and not taking an Uber. As far as the truck it was clean and the location seemed pretty up kept, but if this I what I can expect to go through every time Then I’ll just hire a moving company because I probably spent the same amount plus more in personal moving.

Confirmation email I received from U Haul indicated that I was to load at U Haul of Hollywood. However, when I arrived there they indicated that the U box I reserved was in Inglewood, a 45 minute drive away. The people in Inglewood were helpful and friendly, but U Haul should have notified me of the change in location before I arrived.

THIS COMMENT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STAFF AT THIS LOCATION. The online app is supposed to make things easier and faster but it's unreliable. It doesn't work. If you can fix the app, it won't be as stressful to the client. I ended up getting a track 2' smaller than I reserved and was told that the dolly I had reserved and the moving blankets I had reserved may not be available because other customers may have taken them during the 15 mins I spent trying to get the app to work before going inside to make line for another 10 minutes for help. In other words if the app had been working, I would've gotten what I needed. Instead I had to may the movers an extra 1 1/2 to make a second move because the truck was just a tad bit too small...2' too small. All because I lost 25 minutes trying to work the app while other customers took the items that I had reserved. I've used U-Haul on a handful of occasions. This experience was probably the worst and most stressful. Get rid of the app if it doesn't work!

After I paid for everything, I got to my truck and they told me that they didn't have the dolly that I paid for. When asked for a reimbursement for the equipment that I did not get, they told me that they couldn't do it because the order was already processed and that I had to ask the drop off location to give me my money back. When I dropped off my Uhaul they told me they couldn't give me my money back either and that I had to go back to the original Uhaul pick up location and do it there. I still have not been reimbursed and I am very disappointed.

The outside staff was very accommodating. My initial encounter with the customer service representative was very negative. She appeared to be annoyed that customers were even coming into the store, when asked questions she appeared to be annoyed. She had her phone out propped on the desk all while eating ice. I'm very big on customer service. Again, the gentleman outside were great.

The U-Haul app was not very friendly and it took longer for me to go through all of the items than standing in line for a customer representative. I had to cycle through 6-7 vans to finally find one on the lot, then it was parked behind another one, which the representatives were reluctant to move it.

I waited in line to get the equipment only to be told to go outside and get it first. Then I waited, watched other people get serviced first who pulled up after I did. Then when I went back inside there was a huge line. It took me over an hour to get one trailer.

My reservation was made for 7:30 am this past Sunday May 12. I tried to log into my Uhaul account to pick up the reservation using the Uhaul Truck Share 24/7, but my account said my reservation was not until 10:45. Although inconvenient, this was not the major issue. When I returned the 9' cargo van 5 hours after picking it up and finishing my move, I elected to receive an electronic emailed copy of my receipt. I never received the emailed copy, and I checked my bank account on the morning of Monday the 13 to find that Uhaul had charged me 4 times totaling $140.70 for my moving supplies and the van rental, which should have only totaled $73.89. I checked my Uhaul account and it says that the rental period is for 2 days and 4 hours? I have an email confirmation stating that my rental period was only 4 hours. I was able to have the excess charges reversed, but I was then charged AGAIN this morning (May 15th) for the same amount. I now have to sit on the phone with your customer service reps again to clear this issue up. Do better.

Horrible service. They changed the pick up location at the day of the rental, when I was driving to pick it up. They moved it from Beverly Hills to S La Brea location, 13 miles from me. And they want to charge me extra miles!!

Well I got there I had to wait 30 minutes there were three people there I'm only one person working the owner and he was on the phone with someone else on his headset talking to someone that's on the phone while trying to conduct business and then he was trying to help me and helping a customer toggling back and forth how rude!!! The inside of the truck was dirty this is a horrible Place badly run! And there's nowhere to park your car I rented a 26-foot truck and there was no where to park my car

The Girl at desk that checked me in was not professional at all. She kept saying no to everything I asked her. I reserved an appliance dolly and she told me the last one had been given out. I asked to speak with the Manager, Ricardo Hernandez, and he located a the dolly for me. The girl, never got up from her seat! to go and look /asl for one. Upon my return of the truck, she did not provide me with a copy of my bill, saying she couldn't print one out. Then she said she didn't have my crredit card on file to charge the balance of my invoice. Now I get a charge on that same credit card and it;'s $30 more than the original charge for a late fee? so how did Uhaoul charge my careddit card if they didn't have it in te system, from that day? This is a sham! all you are trying to do is charge an extra $30 . I have been using U-Haul for over 20 years, this is the first time at this locatin. The service ihere is sxubstandard and below par, I will never use this location again .

The employees were nice and friendly however when I asked to confirm if my drop off was in Pasadena (since they messed this up the first time I made my reservation) the guy confirmed it was in Pasadena however I found out later my drop off was for Altadena instead. I had to call and talk to a rep several times to get this fixed. Very poor experience, I don't understand how two different reps mess up a reservation. I will be looking into other moving companies for my next move.

Upon returning the rental truck the people in charge where a little Nonchalant about help me with my return. I had asked the person charge to let me pay for the rental truck with cash Upon my return . The person that checked the rental truck did not Communicate with me and all. He closed out my account without speaking to me about the charges or gave me a chance to tell him I want to pay cash. The lady in the office was not really rude. But she tried to pass the buck to me about paying with cash .Eventually she reversed the charges. Acted like she didn’t care one where the other.

My choice was to drive out of the city miles to pick up the equipment at another location. ( City of Cudahy) opposed to my chosen renting location. Other option presented.: I had to wait to the next day to get one at this location. Her non concern disturbed me, Inconveniencing me didn’t seem to matter in this business transaction . I like how the rates are affordable. $108.00 for a 26ft truck and I used it for 8 hours ! I'm really happy with this uhaul location. Plus they accept cash deposit. All the staff there are helpful and polite. I will definitely be renting again from them.

The parking lot was busy and chaotic. Had to back out and leave through the exit. Also, the vehicle was NOT well maintained. It had a SERIOUS mechanical issue, which is shocking that it either wasn't reported or wasn't fixed. The gears would catch and then lurch every time the vehicle shifted up. Totally unacceptable.

It was very difficult to pull up information because I was never sent any. After I ordered my uhaul I received no email confirmation, and I did not receive a final total over email when I returned today. I was told my total in person, but I have no paper evidence of it for my records. I would refer a friend if I have the contact and information of this Uhaul from my email, but they never sent me anything.

When I picked up my van, I was told there was only 1/8 a tank of gas, but that if I still returned the van with 1/4 tank, I would be given a credit. However, I drove across the street to my house, loaded the van, and before I even got on the road again, the gas light was on. I was on a time crunch to get to my next location, so that was a little frustrating. However, I was given a credit for returning the van at 1/4 a tank. My biggest complaint is this: I returned my van at 9pm the same day I picked it up, even though I had until 8am the next day. (I even told the agent I got my keys from that I would be returning it that, so they were aware) When I dropped off the van though, I tried to use their phone app, as instructed on the paperwork they gave me, to check out. For some reason, the app would not recognize my location, and so wouldn’t let me list the van as returned. Nevertheless, I parked and locked the van and dropped the keys in the overnight drop box. I also called the location the next morning to be sure everything was ok, and the woman I spoke to told me the van had “not been checked back in yet.” I explained about the app, and she asked if I was available to come into the location in person for some reason. I told her I was already far away in my new apartment, to which she responded, “well is that in LA?” I got really frustrated at that point because I had been moving all day the previous day, I was exhausted, and was now having to unpack and arrange utilities to be set up at my new place. She said she would have a manager call me back, but one never did. I called back a few hours later, when I received an email receipt for my rental that did indeed charge me for a second day! Even though the van was physically IN their lot with the keys in the drop box BEFORE they even opened for business that morning. I called and spoke to another agent (after waiting on hold again for at least 15 minutes). This agent again told me she would have a manager call me, and again, no one ever did. I called customer service after that, and the agent I spoke to there said I would have to just file a complaint of dispute of charges, and that it would take 3 business days for anyone to call or email me about it. After a full day of waiting on hold, speaking to theee different u-haul reps, 2 of which were extemely unhelpful and unsympathetic, my moving experience was even more stressful than it needed to be. It’s not 9:30pm, and I have still not heard from anyone at u-haul. All in all, I know they’re busy on weekends and I know mistakes can happen, and I realize it’s unfortunate that the app was not more reliable, but I just wish someone at the company would have been quick to remedy the situation and refund me the money for the second day.

The service was awesome but your customer service people (ladies at the counter) were extremely rude! They gossiped about clients behind the counter. They tried to prevent me from taking shelter inside the office in pouring rain when i returned the truck. I requested them to call a taxi for me because i forgot my phone. After waiting for almost an hour, i kept requesting if they had any update (ETA) for taxi, but they would curtly dismiss me and tell me to keep waiting. I finally had to walk home in rainy weather. I was not even sure they called the taxi. While i know they didn't have control over the taxi, it was one of the most horrible and hostile customer service experience i have experienced in a very long while. While your products and service is good, i wish you would put more effort on training your employees on customer service too!

My comments are in regards to my overall uBox experience. UHaul incorrectly told me that the uBox would be delivered to the Chillum Rd location but it was really delivered to the Takoma Park Location. Also I tried to pay my balance several times while the uBox was in transit only to find out that a payment cant be made while the uBox is in transit, The uHaul representative incorrectly told me to reach out to my credit card company which wasted time.

When you send someone to a location to pick up a UHAUl make sure they are actually open. So I got redirected to another U-HAUL and they still made me pay the extra fees because I drive further with the U-Haul. Terrible experience and will never recommend anyone ever using U-HAUL AGAIN

I used the mobile pick-up/drop-off, and it honestly couldn't have been more difficult. To be fair, I didn't read down to the bottom of the confirmation email stating that I'd need to bring 2 additional forms of ID (beyond my drivers license and credit card), but the fact that I didn't have them on hand made the pick-up extremely painful. Then having to both type and photograph all of the damages to the truck prior to leaving was also painstaking and time consuming. And having to take pictures again when I turned the truck in was also unexpected and unwelcome. All in all, the entire process easily took 3-4 times as long as what I would have otherwise expected just going to the counter (I was at the facility for almost an hour trying to pick my truck up). Few recommendations - 1) Allow people to update their profile with their identification prior to pickup...Im sure someone in legal or some related group decided it should be something you do in the moment while you're picking up the truck, but it just seems non-sensical (as those additional checks are not required if you're picking up at the counter vs. digitally). 2) Allow people to choose a photo from their phone/device vs. requiring use of the camera for the ID stuff...I had a digital copy of my mortgage I could have submitted while there; but because I had to "take a picture of it", it was impossible for me to upload it. Sort of takes the digital mobility out of your digital/mobile solution. 3) If you're going to ask people to document/take pictures of damages...allow that stuff to be available to the next customer (so you can just confirm damages, and only have to add new ones that were otherwise not already documented). Would make things much more efficient. In fact, I'd recommend you have the staff document the damages (and make them available for digital confirmation), that way you know they're accurate. 4) don't require people to provide photo evidence that they cleaned the trucks...there's really no way to control what they're taking pictures of anyway, and it just adds an additional pain in the ass that seemingly provides no value to you or the customer. If anything, simply remind customers that they are responsible for making sure everything is clean and if the U-Haul operator finds it to be dirty...they will provide photographic evidence to their digital receipt, along with cleaning charges. Any other time I've rented a U-Haul, I've never had to "prove" the truck was clean...I just turned in the keys and knew that if it wasn't clean I'd get charged. Seems odd to introduce more steps to a process I'm assuming you're trying to streamline with this new mobile utility...counter-intuitive from a customer's perspective. I expect this is a fairly new tool for you guys, so I understand they'll be bumps along the way to making it work well. Figured I'd provide this feedback as an input for improvements, as I'd expect most people just say "it sucked!" :).

The agent told us that we would not be charged for the dolly that was strapped in the truck. She said as long as we didn't break the seal, which we didn't, but was still charged. If we knew that we were going to be charged anyway, we would have used it.

Overall great service and helpful. One U-Box container in poor condition, needed service as lock hasp was hanging on a thread and installed backwards so anyone with screwdriver could unscrew and open door. It actually broke when I closed it, evidence it had been poorly patched looks like 2 other times, with big hole in door. Does not provide confidence in the security of the container even with a lock. Location was eager to assist and did the best they could with patching it again- door actually needed to be replaced. When arrived at location and opened door, pieces of the door broke off. I recommend better maintenance and repair of U-Boxes to ensure customer confidence of items being secure.

There was not enough staff to process renters. Several customers before me had to go to other locations to get trucks they had reserved. The price for the trailer I needed was $12. 00 more than listed on website. I had to go to 3 locations to find the 5 by 8 trailer for one way trip to Chula Vista. When I got there site was not Chula Vista, but Lemon Grove 15 miles away.

Always a challenge with understanding the actual process for estimating the budget of the rental. Very confusing for new customer when it quotes price of the rental is $19.99 for the day but when you go to turn in truck the bill is $87.00

Great customer service and very Helpful. There was this one guy standing outside of the shop (not a U-Haul employee) harassing customers. He was hanging out with the guys who install hitches. Every time I walked by he would raise both hands and yell “when you gonna let me do something for you”. It did make me feel a little uncomfortable.

Made reservation online days in advance - they didn't have the utility dolly I reserved and needed to move from upstairs. nnThe representative was quite nonchalant about the unavailable dolly and didn't seem to mind not living up to their guarantee. Instead of finding a way to accommodate me, he wanted to send me up the road to another dealer to rent a dolly. The poorest customer service I've ever experienced at equipment rental dealership! Would never use agssin nor recommend.
