I booked on the app for an 8am pickup. I arrived at the location at 8am and I was told that they only open at 9am. The app should not allow you to book a time if it’s not available at a location.

not charge for fuel when it is returned at same point/amount of fuel that was in it when you rented truck. don't over charge for mileage.

The service was awesome but your customer service people (ladies at the counter) were extremely rude! They gossiped about clients behind the counter. They tried to prevent me from taking shelter inside the office in pouring rain when i returned the truck. I requested them to call a taxi for me because i forgot my phone. After waiting for almost an hour, i kept requesting if they had any update (ETA) for taxi, but they would curtly dismiss me and tell me to keep waiting. I finally had to walk home in rainy weather. I was not even sure they called the taxi. While i know they didn't have control over the taxi, it was one of the most horrible and hostile customer service experience i have experienced in a very long while. While your products and service is good, i wish you would put more effort on training your employees on customer service too!

When you send someone to a location to pick up a UHAUl make sure they are actually open. So I got redirected to another U-HAUL and they still made me pay the extra fees because I drive further with the U-Haul. Terrible experience and will never recommend anyone ever using U-HAUL AGAIN

I used the mobile pick-up/drop-off, and it honestly couldn't have been more difficult. To be fair, I didn't read down to the bottom of the confirmation email stating that I'd need to bring 2 additional forms of ID (beyond my drivers license and credit card), but the fact that I didn't have them on hand made the pick-up extremely painful. Then having to both type and photograph all of the damages to the truck prior to leaving was also painstaking and time consuming. And having to take pictures again when I turned the truck in was also unexpected and unwelcome. All in all, the entire process easily took 3-4 times as long as what I would have otherwise expected just going to the counter (I was at the facility for almost an hour trying to pick my truck up). Few recommendations - 1) Allow people to update their profile with their identification prior to pickup...Im sure someone in legal or some related group decided it should be something you do in the moment while you're picking up the truck, but it just seems non-sensical (as those additional checks are not required if you're picking up at the counter vs. digitally). 2) Allow people to choose a photo from their phone/device vs. requiring use of the camera for the ID stuff...I had a digital copy of my mortgage I could have submitted while there; but because I had to "take a picture of it", it was impossible for me to upload it. Sort of takes the digital mobility out of your digital/mobile solution. 3) If you're going to ask people to document/take pictures of damages...allow that stuff to be available to the next customer (so you can just confirm damages, and only have to add new ones that were otherwise not already documented). Would make things much more efficient. In fact, I'd recommend you have the staff document the damages (and make them available for digital confirmation), that way you know they're accurate. 4) don't require people to provide photo evidence that they cleaned the trucks...there's really no way to control what they're taking pictures of anyway, and it just adds an additional pain in the ass that seemingly provides no value to you or the customer. If anything, simply remind customers that they are responsible for making sure everything is clean and if the U-Haul operator finds it to be dirty...they will provide photographic evidence to their digital receipt, along with cleaning charges. Any other time I've rented a U-Haul, I've never had to "prove" the truck was clean...I just turned in the keys and knew that if it wasn't clean I'd get charged. Seems odd to introduce more steps to a process I'm assuming you're trying to streamline with this new mobile utility...counter-intuitive from a customer's perspective. I expect this is a fairly new tool for you guys, so I understand they'll be bumps along the way to making it work well. Figured I'd provide this feedback as an input for improvements, as I'd expect most people just say "it sucked!" :).

The agent told us that we would not be charged for the dolly that was strapped in the truck. She said as long as we didn't break the seal, which we didn't, but was still charged. If we knew that we were going to be charged anyway, we would have used it.

There was not enough staff to process renters. Several customers before me had to go to other locations to get trucks they had reserved. The price for the trailer I needed was $12. 00 more than listed on website. I had to go to 3 locations to find the 5 by 8 trailer for one way trip to Chula Vista. When I got there site was not Chula Vista, but Lemon Grove 15 miles away.

Always a challenge with understanding the actual process for estimating the budget of the rental. Very confusing for new customer when it quotes price of the rental is $19.99 for the day but when you go to turn in truck the bill is $87.00

Great customer service and very Helpful. There was this one guy standing outside of the shop (not a U-Haul employee) harassing customers. He was hanging out with the guys who install hitches. Every time I walked by he would raise both hands and yell “when you gonna let me do something for you”. It did make me feel a little uncomfortable.

Made reservation online days in advance - they didn't have the utility dolly I reserved and needed to move from upstairs. nnThe representative was quite nonchalant about the unavailable dolly and didn't seem to mind not living up to their guarantee. Instead of finding a way to accommodate me, he wanted to send me up the road to another dealer to rent a dolly. The poorest customer service I've ever experienced at equipment rental dealership! Would never use agssin nor recommend.
