Recently I started taking things out but the first time I went there the parking lot was being replaced, limiting access to the units which was frustrating. The second time I went, another group was hogging ALL the trolleys. I asked them politely if I could have just one trolley and they declined. I went inside to ask the salespeople if they could help me find a trolley or ask the other group to share one with me. The salespeople were all sitting around chatting and it took a few minutes to get their attention, although NO customers were in the store. When I asked if they could get me a trolley, they said maybe there are some on the second floor, but no one would go with me. They can see on the monitor that there were NO trolleys on the second floor but I went up there to look anyway. I asked if they could ask someone to share their trolley because I came at 4 pm and had waited twenty minutes already for the other group to finish. One of the salespeople said rather bluntly that ' I would have to WAIT my turn' I asked the other salesperson if she could call me when a trolley became available and gave her my phone number because I was pressed for time, had errands to do. She said I can take your number, but I will NOT be able to hold a trolley for you! So that was pointless! In the end she NEVER DID call me when a trolley was available! So I sat in my car for another twenty minutes so a TOTAL of forty minutes, didn't do any of my other errands, just stressed that because Uhaul was closing at 5 pm that I wouldn't get to remove my belongings from the unit either and the whole driving trip there would be a waste. Finally I got a cart and raced in and out like a maniac because it was only me loading my stuff and I didn't want to be charged for the following month. All in all the experience was awful and I will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Mark P.Hello Uhaul Would have liked to recommend, but have to be honest. The young women that served me was eating and shared that she had applied for another job, but got her days mixed up and missed the interview. Not sure why she shared that with a customer. Paid by credit card, had to run it three times, not sure why? Was told the truck was in the parking lot, no specific place, reviewed the electronic check in, was given the wrong key. Went back, young women was on the phone, young man shared that I was reading the truck and key wrong, told me it was the truck out front. Went out wrong truck, right key. Went back in once more, young lady, shared she gave me the wrong key. The first truck was the right truck…. Checked in online to save time, was there checking in for over 30 minutes. Purchased a lock from the counter, the truck came with a lock, might have been nice to share that, kept the lock. Overall a disappointing experience. I will give the location another chance in the future. Would recommend some additional training for the staff. One last comment, upon returning the truck, the same young lady took a phone call, shared that the two managers don't get a long. Not sure why a customer needs to know these things!

Ed T.RE Reservation # 24459123 which resulted in the above-mentioned contract #. On June 30th, I reserved a 20 ft. to use on July 2nd. This was from the U-Haul at 461 Century Street, Winnipeg, MB. The order was confirmed for 10:00 a.m. I hired people to help with the move and all was good. We were moving items from a flooded basement to a storage unit. I went to U-Haul on the 2nd at 10:00 a.m. only to be told, that the truck I rented was broken and sorry about that - trucks break. I asked if they had any other trucks and was told no. I then asked if there were any other trucks at other U-Haul locations in Winnipeg. I was told that it was a Saturday and the first of the month so ‘probably not'. Again he said sorry about that and then actually asked me if there was anything else he could help me with today! I stood in the middle of their store with no transportation (my spouse had dropped me off and left - who would have thought I would not be getting a reserved truck?) trying to figure out what to do next. I called U-Haul and a very nice woman helped me find a truck in Winnipeg. This however took an additional 90 minutes for which I had movers standing around waiting at $85/hour. I was absolutely astounded by the lack of effort from the U-Haul representative on Century Street. The very least that should have happened was a courtesy call or email telling me the truck I reserved was unavailable. Second, the representative at Century Street could and should have helped me locate a different truck at another location. The person I dealt with at the Inkster location (where I ultimately got a truck) said that would have been a very easy thing for him to do. I'm very displeased by the lack of service I received when it was so easily avoidable. I would like to be reimbursed for my rental - Contract # 14280132 in the amount of $73,87 and reimbursed for $85 x 1,5 hours. There was no need for this. Whoever manages that store should do something about the people they hire.

He sets a great example for his staff who in turn are very pleasant to interact with and will do whatever they can to help their customers. The Inkster facility is the cleanest I have seen ANYWHERE! It has always been rodent and pest free and I can truly say I feel comfortable and in good hands with the U-Haul Inkster Boulevard facility and all of the staff there. Thank you guys and gals!

I was lead to believe truck could be backed up to it.

Secondly when renting a vehicle there were some hidden fuel charges the staff member imposed on the customers after returning the vehicles even though you have topped up the gas. These practices can ruin your business.

It was easy to navigate to get to especially they have free carts available inside the Bay Area near the entrance door for you to use if you have heavy things that you can't take it all the way down to your storage. Overall this place is clean and each storage units have individually alarm system so that you wouldn't have to worry losing your belongings for 24 hours and 7 days a week at anytime! Highly recommended!!!

I requested a unit close to the one I was in as I had noticed quite a few empty units available in my requested size of a 5 x 10. I also noted when I made the reservation that I could not move until March 1st in the am. When I arrived I was told I was being charged $215 for the 10 x 10 because I WAS LATE paying the storage fee!!!! He told me I needed to "PAY ON TIME" and that was why I was being charged the 10 x 10 unit fee!!!! This was very upsetting considering I had made these arrangements prior and was not able to move on the 28th. I was then placed in a unit CLEAR ACROSS THE BUILDING rather than closer to my present unit. I did this move alone and with bad hips. There were many empty units available that were much closer to unit 600 ( 10 x10) that I was in. I went back to the office and asked why I wasnt given a unit closer and I was told they were all booked!! I'm very disappointed in the service and my experience wasnt helpful or pleasant. I called uhaul yesterday to inquire on my unit fees for April 2021. I was told I have a credit of 80$ and my fee would be an additional 80$!!! 5 x10 is 129 a month! It doesnt add up. Very unprofessional behavior. I am unsure I will be continuing to give my business and money to a company that shows such disregard for thier customers. Tina Dutiaume.

I do love that the facility has automatic doors to park the car when I visit my storage. Also, I like the facility interior colours, almost all white, everything looks clean and welcoming. I like the big space at the store. Everything in general looks so organized and I love that because It gives me the sense of having my stuff in a safe place.

U-Haul storage has none of these problems. You're items stay in the same condition as when you put them in your locker. I definitely recommend U-Haul storage.
