I was completely happy with my whole experience today. Service awesome, very friendly and was made very easy for a 1st time renter. I thoroughly enjoyed the ford pick-up. It was great. I will definitely return to rent again.

We went in and booked a 26” truck a month in advance. Explained it would be myself or my husband driving it for my mom, would it need to be our credit card and info? We were told no so my mom arranged for payment etc. Arrive the day of for 9 am pickup only to not get it until 945 as the one lady was dealing with a person ahead of us. Fine and dandy but seriously I memorized the phone number as she was asked it 10 times. Then our turn. Lady was rude saying they wouldn't do that with credit card so I had to provide mine. Again on our way 45 mins later and no adjustments on time. Truck was great for moving. We returned it with how much gas we were told to fill up which was also shown on my papers I got. My mom went in and paid and thank god my husband was with her as they tried to get another 40 dollars out of her saying she didn't put enough gas in. After 15 mins of searching they realize they are wrong. No apology or anything. Overall the truck was great. The service in the building not so much. And another thing. Might want to tell your staff that cell phones are for off the clock. Not to keep answering it when trying to get information from your potential renters.

I love this place, and the employees are top shelf. I go there and rent trucks whenever I need a break, they are less than a months rent and have roadside assistance, out of gas rescue, and can be booked or dropped off anytime. My only issue is I dropped one at a different spot, but had to return it to the original location in a hurry because another customer needed it. Only things I would change is it always seams uncomfortable, and more expensive to call and extend the rental in person, when online the process is $30 a day and gives options for multiple day extension. Since taking on the Secret Agent role for COVID-19 I find my use to be sporadic. I already applied to be a partner. Everything I touch turns to gold, so maybe we can make an arrangement locally or at the national or international level. I'm going to be continuing my work throughout 80 countries. Just FYI, there are alter egos, that represent human flaws that's just entertainment, I am the real and original smart and moralistic one. You will never have problems with me around. I am a bradass amongst the bad boys, and police the police. I don't watch tv, and I am glad I don't because I and everyone else knows the other flawed characters portraying the flaws would be against my mantra. But, there needed to be a contrast. It took us roughly 1.5 hours to get our trailer sorted in the morning. There were issues with the electrical adapter and the employee helping us with with the hookup had very limited knowledge re adapters and the electrical system of the truck/trailer. The trailer was quite dirty. When we were driving the trailer home to pack it up, we got a flat. It took roughly 2 hours for uhaul to fix this. The dispatch person told the company the wrong tire size so we again had to wait for them to get the correct size. Both fountain tire and kal tire showed up to help us, highlighting the poor communication from the dispatch team. When we returned the trailer and informed them about the tire they had little sympathy and offered no discount. We gave them the re-torquing slip for the tire and he had no clue what this was for. This was a very poor experience heightened by the stress of it being moving day and being set back 3.5 hours in our plans. Would not recommend using uhaul.

When I asked for different locations for drop off in lower main land, I was only offered the one Vancouver location and there were a couple closer to us that I did end up getting but I had to do my own homework for the closer locations and then contact u-haul to make sure that I could use a closer location and get them to put in the email so we didn't have any problems dropping off at the closer u-haul, so I would recommend for future use Making sure of the location options. I was only offered different city's not other locations within a city. Thanks

My biggest issue was the stereotyping and unfriendly staff. Other then that the place needs to stay open later! 7pm is a ridiculously early time to be closing! And the electrical outlet were all locked. There was lots, I would be ideal if they were unlocked so who ever is at there locker can per say, charge there phone. Thx for hearing me out ☺️

Don't let someone book a trailer a month in advance if YOU DONT HAVE A F***ING TRAILER TO GIVE THEM. For a company as big as u-haul your fleet management abilities are really just famously bad.

Overall unit was clean and big enough for all my items and the staff I did deal with throughout were great. Unfortunately the only thing that I would note is I wish UHaul would pro-rate in terms of storage units as I had my storage in there from Nov 30-Jan 1. I understand contracts are written and signed etc, but to charge a full month's storage ($270+ in my case) when I only used it for an extra few days over my original month was VERY disappointing, especially in these times when people are struggling with living/finances.

Good experience overall, but was expecting the snow to already be brushed off the 26 ft truck (especially windshield) and around the vehicle before getting the keys as ended up getting stuck in the parking stall. That being said, even though I brushed off the snow myself with my sleeve, one of the UHaul employees, when asked, did come around and shovelled the snow away from the truck, which was appreciated. This did however take away from my own personal time with my move, otherwise my experience this time around was a positive one.

The poor rating is only because I booked a moving van more than two weeks in advance (on line) and yet the size of van I had requested was not available. How could this happen with a company like U-Haul?

Overall, everyone was very professional and helpful. However, there was a dead rat/mouse in the back of the vehicle. When I advised the man who had been clearing the snow from the truck, he was somewhat bothered by my request to have it removed.

Inadequate tires on truck made it unsafe for winter road travel. They had no chains for truck either. When questioned on it they were not concerned as tires had a M+S symbol on them.

I booked the van rental a month in advance, was told i would be paying $161 total for my rental. I arrived on the date to pick up my uhaul, and it cost me nearly $350! I understand that $125 of that was a “refundable” deposit, but trying to get that deposit back has been like pulling teeth. I was told the van did not have snow tires, and if it were to start snowing to “drive carefully”. We had to take an alternate highway as the main highway was unsafe due to poor tires, for which i was charged an additional $15. The customer service i have received when trying to get my deposit back has been absolutely appalling. It is not my fault that uhaul failed to provide me with a vehicle safe enough to take the shortest route. Not to mention the cab was a mess when we picked it up. and the entire thing had an awful odour of cigarette smoke, resulting in my belongings now smelling like cigarette smoke as well.

This was the worst storage experience ive ever had. Customer service at this kamloops location was so terrible i dont think ill ever use uhaul again. Between incorrect information and terrible covid safety precautions mixed with terribly high prices and inconvenient access hours,this was the worst storage place ever. The people are rude and unprofessional.

The storage and staff are at professional grade. The whole facility are at the best caliber I have experienced. The staff were always obliging to any customer that they served while I was in the office multiple times over the past few months. As for my personal experience. I found the staff memorable in a positive respectable perspective.Very friendly and efficient people at the Halston Uhaul Storage and Rentals in Kamloops, BC Canada. I have recommended this Uhaul location to several people and they too have enjoyed the overall experience of storage and rental at Halston , Kamloops BC. Thank you to all of your staff. Uhaul should feel proud to have this kind of representation.

I reserved a locker online and the staff member that assisted me on move in day was friendly enough but her supervisor (female) was very rude. She told the young girl to give me a locker that was $5/month higher than the one I had booked. When I said I wanted to pay the price I had reserved (and stuck to that) she was quite upset, told the girl to give the original locker to me and stormed off. Maybe she was having a difficult day but her behaviour was very unprofessional. Other than that the move in experience was good.

Ensure the trucks are full of fuel. I was told my truck was full, and the gage was at the top of the grey area. Assumed that was the top of the gage. Put 20 fuel in for 14 kms and the fuel gauge was actually on the F for full. Shouldnt have cost for than $5-10 in fuel. I feel ripped off and disappointed in the receptionist that ensured it was full.

I will never recommend anyone to rent a uhaul. My experience was stressful to say the least. I am a class one driver, and have been for many years with no accidents. I was left feeling like I didn't even want to drive the truck, when I took off from the yard. The intimidating pressure, and the paperwork to sign, to simply decline an extra insurance policy, if you can call it that, for 45.00 was intense. I went out and looked at the truck before getting in it, and it was covered with little X stickers, where there were previous dings and scratches, too numerous to list. I was led to believe these minor scratches were insured against, or payed for by the previous renter upon return. None, and I mean none, of the dings were repaired, or even touched by a body man. This led me to believe that the 45.00 paid out for the insurance was pocketed by the company, and did not go into fixing the scratches. This pissed me off, and confirmed my theory that this insurance, that is being pushed, by scare tactics, is full of shit. I told him I wouldn't put a scratch on the truck, and he came back with, Oh ya, so you're telling me the other drivers on the road won't hit you? What a crock of shit. WE, all have ICBC, asshole. Never again.

Disappointed that I drove to Vernon to pick up my ubual that I booked only for it not to be there. Luckily they had one in Kamloops for me just a bigger size. Very disappointed that I had to waste my gas and mine and someone else's time to drive out of town for nothing. Will not recommend using uhual overall due to this horrible experience

When I showed up at 7am for my truck, mobile pick-up was not enabled for my truck. I'm sorry- but the representative knew I was picking my truck up before the store opened.. so why didn't they enable mobile pick up? I had to wait three hours to get a truck, and ended up getting downgraded from a 10' to a pick up. I will never be using U-Haul again, and I will always be sure to share my horrible experience with you guys anytime someone asks me.

Nice units but not an ideal location for storing a lot of goods. Everything must be loaded on carts and taken up an elevator. Also no units larger than 10 x 10 - although you can book a 10x20 unit online.

Thank you UHaul. The facilities were clean and well cared for. The staff are great - very efficient and friendly - particularly Paula. My only comment is I found it unnerving/scary at times to go to my unit on the second floor because anyone can just walk into the building - whether they have a unit or not. There is no keycard or code required to enter the building. Anyone can just walk through the sliding doors and access the elevator. I think the doors should be locked and a code entered for any one who wants to enter.

Kamloops and Vanderhoof both well ru and friendly. The burns lake operation is dreadful. Difficult to find, no signage, and the operator was rude, unhelpful, and useless. I utilized vanderhoof instead.

I reserved a 10x20 storage unit. When I arrived with my confirmation number the site staff changed my storage to 2 smaller units causing me great difficulty when I went back to the office to find out why this change. I was told I have to come back the next day and speak with someone else. What's the point of making reservations if Uhaul cannot commit ?

The only thing I wish were different would be that the storage locker was 10’ wide and 5’ deep instead of 5’ wide and 10’ deep to allow easier access to items being stored. This wider layout is common in another storage facility I have experienced.

Everything was good until I went to return the truck, the person that came out to check the truck tried to double bill me for the truck, when I told him I had already paid for the truck, he then told me I owed $ 49 for fuel, I showed him the paper work that proved there was more fuel in it now then when I picked up the truck. When I wouldn't back down on the extra charges he said he was going to find someone else to deal with me, so I followed him, just so I could hear what was being said and show the next person up the food chain my paperwork, we went into the office and they finally came up with a charge of $0.43 because I was 1 mile over on the mileage they gave me when I picked up the truck. They took half a hour trying to figure out a way to throw on a extra charge. I guess when they figure out your mileage they don't take into consideration you may have to stop and pick up your furniture or go to a gas station

The best experience in storage. Secure facility, kind and understanding staff; having accommodations such as: washrooms, drinking fountains, carts, dumpster service (if needed), and items to purchase that aide in moving and storage has made this experience unique and exceptional! Moving in and out were simple and quick processes. The support from the staff is unlike anywhere else. I've not only used this location for my storage needs, but also for my uhaul moving van needs. I have never been let down by this location thus far! Thank you for being great. I appreciate this experience.

The manager, Sandra, was so helpful when I came in to inquire about renting storage. She offered solutions to make a very stressful event (moving) as easy and convenient as possible! When construction of the old building began our contents was covered in drywall dust as the tops are open and not really covered. The building I was in was always locked so you had to go to the main building to stand in line to ask for access not very user friendly not very quick.

Nice facility with great staff but the loading unloading area is tight and made it impossible to honor the personal space issue. Also .since we had to use an elevator it was even more of a problem avoiding people. So if you are trying to avoid people due the virus this may not be the best option.

Where I picked up the van and trailer, just outside of Saskatoon, the guy only had 1 tire secured! I could of lost my car but I checked at the gas station and the gas attendant tightened the straps around the tires.

That Jimmy the electrician and Paula who handle the coustomer in location they help me lot ... right now I just drop my 5/8 teailor from Edmonton to kamloops... and Cris who serve me with respected and professional manner in kamloops.
