The truck was overall clean; however, on the trip I noted several deficiencies in the the truck - the back roller door was very difficult to open/close as the driver side wheel kept trying to come out of the track, the passenger side reverse light was not working, the insulation around the driver side door was constantly falling off/out during the trip making it VERY noisy and the drivers side mirror kept moving while driving so we needed to stop often to make adjustments to keep safe. When turning to the right the truck would make screeching noises which was very disconcerting when taking such a long trip. Overall, there was very little help from the team at the Kamloops location in assessing the vehicle and when I asked about the mirror they just brushed it off.AMANDA C.

The trailer wasn't clean persay it wasn't terrible but there were soda cans in the back and such. Which is fine for a trailer, but then they went over it with a fine toothed comb on the return. I think the consistency was lacking. overall fine experienceKELVIN H.

The kid behind the counter was terrible. Very unaffected, and speaking negatively about the company. I had to switch vehicles. Did it online, and that worked well, but then it wouldn't accept my credit card, So i had to go inside. Also upcharged me for a smaller truck. The truck felt worn out. From very poor acceleration, high revs, the door rattled. I didn't mention any of this in my closing, because I didn't have time to explain, but overall, it wasn't a great experience.Trevor M.

He came across bored, frustrated with Uhauls tech and anything but interested in making my experience enjoyable. Number one UAUL screwed up my original location pick-up. I was needing a truck in Chase BC , but it was not road worthy !! I tried to rent a truck in Salmon Arm BC , no luck there. It cost me money to rent a room in Kamloops BC so I was able to rent a truck there instead. That truck was no joy to drive , and i have driven a lot of trucks, seems UHAUL is more interested in renting vehicles and making money than true customer service !!!Ronald J.
The U haul App and Website is very unfriendly to some of us Older non Phone app user types. Took me 45 min and I still could not get it. Thankfully the Manager of this U Haul franchise ( Saundra ) is a friend so I texted her along with pictures of the Trailer dropped off. No issues after that thank youRalf G.

I used the truck to move 10 k to storage. I took a picture of fuel tank when I got in truck and another when I put the 7 dollars in the tank. Whom ever had the truck before me did not fill up to 1/2Deborah F.
Clarify/be honest about insurance coverage - I have roadstar ICBC insurance but was told I needed to buy uhaul's insurance - I feel I was being 'saled' on something I did not need and I am surprised that this occurred here at a local Uhaul. In fact, Roadstar insures all vehicles that dont exceed 5000 kg GVW, which to all appearances included the one I was renting.... thats why I cant give this a '5'. Otherwise, the service here was excellent, which is why that was so surprising.Wendy M.

Very disappointed by the online system that was not explained well at all. Inside staff were unfriendly. The â€œrental periodâ€ pricing is not clear. I thought I had reserved for 6 hours and had chosen to waive the $15 insurance. When I arrived that was not what was showing on my reservation. We sorted out the insurance issue but I didn't realize I was only reserved for 4 hours. I think maybe everything reset when I changed the pick up time. When I saw this in a text message I thought 4 hours might be enough anyway and didn't want to waste time going back to try to change it. I did not get back on time - maybe about 15 minutes later. Nothing was said about being charged another rental period for this at the time and I didn't expect that. I thought the number of hours was an estimate. I think this process needs to be clearly explained upfront and I don't think I should have been charged extra. I have rented from Uhaul several times in the past and was happy with the experience. I don't think I would recommend it to anyone with this new system unless policies are changed or more clearly stated. I don't appreciate being deceived.KATHRYN H.
