asked about my returning the trailer two days early and was looking to be reimbursed for two days she told me basically to take a hike that it should have taken me a full day to load 15 house plants and two full days to travel 585 miles and another day to off load and there was nothing she was going to do about it so much for looking out for customer needs

It depends on who you deal with. One guy seems miserable to be there and doesn't know how to hook up the trailer and when my fiancé attempted to help he received attitude. Our resent visit was very pleasant. The gentlemen we worked with were great and knowledgeable and generally were very friendly and put forth great costumer service.

Based on the costumer service I was provided throughout this whole experience I am incredibly dissatisfied. Beyond booking issues with my truck, the manager blaming me for the error which absolutely doesn't make any sense removing from day from my booking and losing the entire thing. Then the worker stated that I had to do a pre-authorization which I did on my debit card and when I went to pay with the visa they refused to let me pay for all of it. They never said that I was making a payment with the one card he said it was only a pre-authorization and then the manager came and refused to refund my debit card so I could pay for it all on my visa. An absolute horrible experience overall.

When a customer makes a reservation to pick up a truck and an auto-trailer on a specific date and time, you should NOT inform them 20 hours before the pick up date and time that auto-trailer being rented is only available for pick up in a city 200 kilometers away, AND it's not available for pick up until late morning.

Rented many times before. Never been charged for all the extras. Not at all pleased with this last one. Totally different from the previous rental only 2 weeks earlier. Bunch of inconsistency over 24 hour day rental interpretation. Really wish there was an alternate rental place in the small city I live in after this last rental went south.

Where would l begin? Uhaul is inverse of customer care; e.g from choosing Louisiana for the call centre because the workers are paid $7,25 per hour with no benefits, resulting in them having no investment in the job, to employees in 2 provinces consistently lying, keeping extra fuel l paid for ($60CND) - and me, a Senior Citizen on a fixed income, coming to your company in good faith. Did l mention the manager who threatened me when l raised my voice outside so she could hear me? (I wear an N95 mask) 90 % of irate customers are pushed to the limits by your rapacious practices. Moreover, how you got into Canada was a dirty deal for sure. Never will l recommend you! I am ashamed/indignant that you have a monopoly in BC for â†"️ Canada economical moves. Furthermore, l know you don't care about the stress you cause: inbred capitalism of the most pernicious type.

You should upgrade your vehicle requirements for towing a car hauler or anything else for that matter. A 1998 manual Isuzu a Trooper is rated to tow 5000lbs....I wasnt allowed to even hook up to an empty car hauler to haul a bare chassis, well within my limits.

Make sure to check vehicles to make sure they are in proper working order before renting them to the next customer. My unit was not roadworthy - it had a severe vibration.

Don't take reservations 2 months in advance and then fail to provide the requested equipment. UHaul cost me an extra $1600, 12 extra hours of driving time, scrambling for minute storage solutions, as well as undue physical and mental distress because they dont value their customers AT ALL.

The trailer had physical damage different to the photos in the confirm condition. I am a bit concerned about that. I also spotted that 2 of the 4 tires were on their last 1/2mm of usable tread. I also reported that the hydraulic brakes were set for an aggressive driver needing sharp/hard stops which placed a much greater load on my vehicle. One strap was noticed by the attendant to be slightly frayed and was replaced before I left, previously I had been given trailers with poor condition straps that worked for my short tire height vehicles. Definitely a plus for the observant attendant.

Reserved a 26' truck. Got a 20 ft. Didn't fit a 4 bdr house and garage in it. So we hadto go back. They charged us for a 5'x8' trailer which is BS considering they didn't give us the right truck in the first place. Than charges us another 118. For being an hour late.. u haul is a joke and I will NEVER be using them again. This us just the bade of the problems. There's so much more I have to complain about

Terrible Customer Service The Counter person was rude and very unwelcoming. I wanted to turn around and leave. My friend talked me out of it as we needed to complete a move that day. The Rep in the afternoon for our drop off was excellent .

There are uhaul places much closer to where we live but we travel the 50+ km to the one on the Halston because of the excellent service, availability of equipment and clean location.

We had a less than 24 change to our location. We had to drive 2 hours away to pick up this truck. the location was great! But UHAUL definitely made things difficult. Overall a pretty terrible experience renting from this company

The equipment or the contract didn't mention the fuel it uses. Hence had a bit of trouble at refueling as the fuel cap/Fuel Gauge didn't have indication of it's a Petrol or Diesel fired engine. Otherwise it was an all around pleasant experience.

I rented an appliance dolly. The dollies gliders that slide down the stairs were seized. I had to exchange it for one that worked which took up my time and added to the stress of moving. They would not even compensate me on having to take the dolly back and exchange it. Upon returning the truck I learned that the previous drivers had ran over metal damaging the rear passenger tires. The dealer asked if I had any issues with it swerving on the road when it was loaded. This was a safety hazard that should have been addressed prior to being rented out to someone. This tire had a slash in it on the inside face of the tire which a person could not see doing visual road inspection. This tire could have blown and possibly caused me to lose control of the truck.

It was an inconvenience for me to only have a 2 day rental, due to the fact that I needed a truck for a longer period of time. I run a business and my vehicle is down for repairs. I understand that the unit needs to be available because of high demand (end of the month movers) I really needed the truck for one more day and it just wasn't possible to extend. I feel that the staff could have done more to accommodate my need for a rental.

When you tell somebody the trailer is going to be at a location it should be at that location for pickup not 80 km away

The guys that unloaded my trailer were a couple of assholes. They tried to say that I had uneven tire wear in the trailer. I literally drove from nanaimo to kamloops, and did the speed limit. I felt like they were trying to set me up.to.pay for the tires. Couple of dicks...

We were in and out of the location in less that 10 minutes, the staff and area were very efficient and clean and polite. I did ask about the increased charge and his answer was that the charges change daily. I was too tired to debate his response.and had already paid it with my credit card. If that was true and your system does not honor the quote that should be noted somewhere in BOLD.

The windshield wipers on the truck were broken and as it was storming this resulted in us needing to stay in a hotel as we could not drive the truck in the rain. That being said the customer service at the kamloops location was great and the staff very friendly. We were not impressed with the condition of the truck. We were moving provinces and it added an additional $200 to our move we were not anticipating.

The way you charge for fuel is questionable. Used an 1/8th of a tank on a cube van. Read the little re fuel guide, and it said like 12,5 litres. I put in 12,5 L and turned truck on to check. Still below full, 5 more litres, re check, still below full. 5 more litres and the pump clicks, check gauge, still below full! Pump more gas pump clicks for a second time, way past full. So the way to improve would be charge people fair gas prices so they dont need to play a guessing game and end up spending an extra 25 bucks on gas, and giving free gas to the next guy. Additionally if you want to continue with the same refueling practice, use a digital gauge. An analogue gauge van very much be open to interpretation as to what fuel level is indicated. But hey, I guess that's why your vehicles are so cheap to rent, you make the money on charging way above fair market value for gas.

The young woman that took care of us was awesome her name started with a C. . She had a quick question and asked an elderly coworker who was not friendly to her at all nor Other customers that came in. If you want to retain workers you Might chat with the older worker & tell her to be kinder to the younger staff. We all have bad days but kindness goes a long way. Thanks so much.

Check out procedure not clear. I tried to contact by phone but long waits of an hour or more made this impossible. I went to the office to let them know that I was vacating. I was told to empty the unit and then it would be checked for cleanliness. Also told to take my lock with me and then to come back to close the contract. When I arrived back at the office the paperwork was done. I asked for a refund for the rest of the month as I left on the 12th of the month. I was then told that I could not have a refund as the contract was already closed. I then said that I would perhaps use the storage until the end of the month for additional items so I would put the lock on until the end of the month. I was informed that that would not be possible as I'd already closed the contract! So it is then possible for U-haul to obtain rent the storage stall that I had already paid for thus getting double the rent until the end of the month. I am extremely unhappy with this and hope you will see that it is unfair to me. A reimbursement for the balance of the month would be appreciated. Thank you for your consideration. Hi I did not move in at this location. It was a mistake and asked if I can get a refund I had two pay twice for a storage unit one in Kamloops and one in Edmonton the one in Kamloops was a mistake that's where I departed and I arrived in Edmonton yesterday and had to pay again

Very expensive for what you get, didn't stay for the entire month I paid for and wasn't reimbursed for the time I didn't use. I have another unit double the size and it is $3 a month more than this small unit.

I had 2 units and I was able to make in to one so I wanted to cancel one and it was painful it took 20 mins, then he said he put the one back in my name and I would get a free month, then he changed it and said my payment was due, he gave me papers and I left only to see all the paper work is in my mom's name which I recently rented a truck with her, so now I'm really confused

When a staff asking for you to move to customer parking but no where to park because there is 3 u haul in the way and other car took up all the spots and there's no room to park in customer parking but the parking lots for the trucks were open and got rudely asked to move my personal vehicle even though there was no open customer parking and storage lockers got screwed up but was fixed by Sandra who was very helpful

I cancelled before I even had a lock or moved anything in….only five days after i was called by your staff who recommended that i pay early! I originally had it booked for my move day of Nov. 6 and would have known i didnt need a storage locker after all but now I get charged for a full month!! How about a credit for the upcoming truck rental that I have booked??

Wait times on the phone and at the site were always way to long. Sandra is both professional and friendly. Love dealing with Sandra hope too every time I come in. She brings energy to her work environment. She oozes joy. Not all staff are both. One staff member didn't know how to add insurance. Prices are too high but they are everywhere. Boxes are way too expensive.

The key to my lock was destroyed in a car accident and as per company policy I had to hire a locksmith. This is unacceptable. U-haul facilities must offer an option to cut the locks off of client's lockers under these circumstances or offer the option to unlock them with a master key. I will not recommend U-haul to anyone because of this flaw. We pay for customer service, not just the locker.

My move was very stressful and quite difficult. The staff were always helpful and friendly and empathetic to me. They made it seem not so bad - and were able to help me with all of my requests. Honestly, between the heat wave and the smoke from forest fires - most days they were the only good part of my day. I wish also that i had rented the boxes - I went through GOBOX and they had very limited service hours that made my move way more difficult. I would absolutely recommend this local UHAUL team. Very nice people and a great facility. It was always clean as well.

The staff were all professional and friendly. All of the issues we had came from the online platform. The system allowed me to book a storage unit, gave me a confirmation number and took my credit card information but when we arrived with a truck full to unload, we were informed that the units cannot be guaranteed unless in person. This was a known flaw in the online system according to multiple staff members yet nothing was done to fix the issue.
