The place we selected pushed us to another location miles away. The new location was way understaffed. Only one person on a Saturday morning with 15 people in line. Truck had a check engine light due to gas cap. The person who checked truck in obviously didn't check truck. What else was wrong that I didn't find.

Not enough agents on site to start the work week as you only had one person on station with an inexperienced young attendant to conduct operations.. Had to try several trailers before settling into one whose lights were fully operational..

Can you explain to me why I can't access my storage unit 24/7 like advertised? Like I understand it's a software check but why is it not default? So now I have to have things in my car while deployed instead of being able to put the items in a climate controlled storage unit.

I had a 1:00 pm appointment to have a hitch installed. When I arrived there, scat was in the stall, no one working on it. I had to drive to another facility to get installed.if it had not been a prepaid item, I could see a wait, but not when I had already paid for it. They should have taken that car off the rack because evidently the owner was not there There is no excuse for that to happen. I am a senior citizen and a. 100 % disabled vet. I deserved better. It wasn't ok for to have to drive half way across town to get my hitch installed!!!!

The trailer was not swept out, but it was well maintained mechanically. Dropoff was a challenge due to grumpy employee. But it was late in the day and perhaps he just wanted to go home. I would rent here again.

The place of the original reservation for S Fort Hood street was not open! The reservation was quickly changed to this location. So now the review is for veterans memorial location. Quick and easy check in. I was running an hour late and should have checked out the wipers and ramp before leaving. My fault. Those items did not work. I needed roadside assistance but it was 11:00 pm when I called. I got help at 12:30 am. The ramp could not be fixed except by climbing under the truck to push it up. This meant that I would not be adding anymore to the truck in the morning for the drive to unload. At unload, I paid a young guy to help me because I needed to return the truck and the only way to close the back is if the ramp is correctly stored. Windshield wipers.did not work because they were old and made no contact on right side. If there had been bad weather, this would have been dangerous. Positives: I got good gas mileage and was comfortable in the driver's seat. The mirrors on both sides were helpful seeing other cars. I did not drive over 70 mph, but 60-65 on the highway. Check out the wipers, the body and the ramp before you leave. I sanitized the cab before I left the location and cleaned after I dropped it off.

When I first went to pick it up, the guy who was supposed to connect the trailer on to my truck couldn't pick it up. So now the office lady, who is just standing there.. says to me "are you gonna help pick it up?" So I pick it up and connect the trailer...then I have to go back and attach the trailer lights. It looks like she bent the prong trying to attach the lights. Probably the worst service I've ever seen. The pictures of the trailer that they used weren't even current, they used older pictures from some other day.

How about letting the customer know of additional charges. After the drop off inspection I was told everything was ok & to pickup my receipt inside. It wasn't until I was walking to my car that I noticed a 17 $charge for fuel. Even though I filled it to the specified amount. If it wasn't for a list of things to do that day & the thought of having to argue with some manager I would have gone back inside to contest it. This detail ruined an otherwise average experience.

I wasn't informed that I would not get my deposit back if I didn't use the truck. I returned the truck after a few hours later unused because I went to see the house first I was going to deliver to and found it to be inhabitable. After that I returned the truck. Worst experience I've ever had with U-Haul.

I originally set my rental up for a different location and was expecting to pick up at 0900. As I am on my way to the location I get a call from Uhaul saying the location I selected does not have the equipment I requested. The closest location was the next town over. The person giving me a ride was unable to take me that far so I had to return home and drive myself. When I arrived at the new location only one person was working and 4 people were in line ahead of me. The line did not move fast. Then when it was my turn they told me that my pickup time was at 1200 and my rental was not ready. So again I had to wait. I was way behind scheduled. I was not pleased with my experience.

Manager of the store is rude, she had a new employee training him and was very condescending the way she spoke to him as well as me. She never did an inspection of the equipment after she informed the employee he was hooking the trailer to my truck wrong, consequently when I went to load a vehicle on the car hauler, one of the straps to strap the tires to the trailer was damaged and therefore wouldn't reach the rachet mechanism to secure the load. Very displeased with the service from the female manager as well as the equipment she rented me. I'll never frequent this location again with her running it .

You have changed how you operate. You are now charging everything 0,99 a mile. I even believe your trucks are rigged to increase the mileage. I will never ever ever use U- Haul again. Over the internet it gave me the price for an in town move of 45.95. Then when I check in it says 68.89. Mine tell you that the distance of my move was 5 miles to new place the 5 miles back to U-Haul, also I quoted 8 hours but only had for maybe 5 or 6. I quoted for 15 miles but only used 10, but truck said 22. So here we go grand total 88.68. Almost 100 $for in town move, REALLY!!! Then when I was talking to one of the employees about it, he asked," Did you get your job done? I said yes. Then He said, then don't worry about the money....ðŸ'€ðŸ'€ðŸ'€ðŸ'€ðŸ'€.". I was just too done then. Thank you Lord for the CHANGE!!!

My experience was less than pleasant. Starting with a call from corporate asking to change the size of my rental. I agreed however when corporate changed my reservation they did not include the appliance dolly as in the original reservation. Next that faculty had no air and they were not knowledgeable on current inventory. There was many more hiccups. Next when I returned the vehicle I just put in 30 $of gas to put it over 1/2 tank of gas ( I received on a little under 1/2 of tank if gas) I get my receipt and it shows they put in 3 gallons of gas. You can not get anyone to answer any of the number for U-Hail. Very disappointed in my experience with the total company. Customer service is not their forte.

Better customer service specifically the lady who handle all my paperwork. She was very rude, had a bad attitude and did not communicate well at all. She pretty much ignored me and the manager was on the phone with one of her friends laughing and talking loud the whole time while customers waited to be taken care of.

I placed my order to rent a 20 foot truck for 8 hours on August 6 for pick up on august 7. From the time I placed the order to picking up the vehicle at 8 AM there were no issues. It wasn't until a couples hours after the pick up when I get a text message from Uhaul stating the rental was due back at 2 PM which was only 6 hours that I would've had the rental. So I called customer service to explain the situation and the representative extends the rental back to its original drop off time which was at 4 PM and she stated with no extra charge. Then the next day I look at my bank statements I see that I was charged an extra day for a rental I returned on time. Every time I rent from uhaul I have issues. On July 17 I rented a 20 foot truck and again issues with that as well. I was charged an extra 40 $for not gassing the vehicle. I again had to call customer service to dispute it and send my gas receipt. I honestly don't know what can be done to improve the service being provided. This experience, both times has been nothing but a mess. Uhaul location on 102 E Veterans Memorial Blvd Killeen, TX 76541 is one of the worst places to rent a uhaul from. I have never in my years of renting from Uhaul have I experienced these type of issues.

Staffing was marginal to ensure customers were promptly served. My initial reservation at a Pre-School in Harker Heights was a disaster. My reserved 6X12 trailer was not present when I arrived and no staff were on site either for my 2:00pm appointment. I called the 1-800 # and everything was resolved, but I was not compensated for my wasted lunch hour and wasted gasoline. I paid for a product and didn't receive the product in a timely manner. I would like a discount of 25 % to be applied to the monies I paid and refunded to my credit card. Your customers expect and deserve better.

Horrible staff, the new female employee did all she could but the rest of the staff was horrible they were not friendly nor helpful. They gave me attitude when I came to them for a storage and they yelled at me because I wasn't dropping it off. And then they didn't have my storage reservation so I had to Go to a different location. The day of equipment drop off I waited an hour and a half because the only employee was the new female staff was the only one that showed up for the day. After the young female employee gave up struggling to help us she finally called the manager. Then the manager came in with her hair wrapped and in pajamas with a U-Haul jacket on came in and started to help. The poor new employee didn't have access to the key box so she didn't know what trucks were available and that could've saved her the struggle. This location needs to teach the lower staff in order to strive to be better but overall this location was all over the place and in my opinion making a bad name for uhaul.

Some major bull s**t! They will charge you 20 $some dollars for going over mileage. And 40 $some dollars per day for going over your turn in day. Don't do military discounts at all. We got quoted 1 040 miles and 5 days of use for uhaul rental and we turned it in within 3 days and 800 miles used but couldn't give us any money back from it! So they'll charge you like crazy for going over your limit but won't compensate you for going way way way under your limit! I turned everything in early and now they could renting the equipment I used and make double the profit, if I would've known I would have not turned it in. Screw that! but they really were not willing to change my quoted price!!! Way over priced 1 100 $for a 15 foot truck and a half tow dolly for pulling my car. And for the uhaul to sound sh*tty the whole drive. The truck itself had like 130,000+ miles and was a crappy truck over all. Next time I rather just go with “Penske” for a little more money and get a better and bigger truck for practically the same price. At least you get your money's worth with them. The workers in the Killeen, Texas location were so damn rude and could care less about their job. At least in Columbus, Georgia the older man who worked there at least was acting like he didn't hate his life and wasn't rude.

Takes forever to get anything done in side. The concrete sidewalk outside is uneven and forces your cart to hit cars parked in the spots. Will be shutting down my unit there and going somewhere else

The truck rental experience was awesum but STORAGE ummm I only had stuff in 1 month and 2 days could not even get any money back for the rest of month but whatever sooo got things out and home had ROACHES coming out of my stuff never had any BUGS I should of known when I killed a ROACH in the hallway So maybe since there was no refund given you guys should use that for PEST CONTROL

Pd 882 one way was kinda hoping to get some money back but didn't but did get a month free of storage and my only concern with that is I got a small one that was on top but wanted one on floor level but had no choice to take top my concern is safety it was very difficult to climb up that ladder with no safety features and could of fallen also seen roaches climbing on outside of wall you guys may want to call pest control but other than that I mean I got here so thanks

The office is clean it was the walls and floor was the storage room was dirty. I understand these storage have been used in years that's fine, I'm not to petty other than that it was good

Even though we were stressed and everywhere, the woman that cashed us out was so good answering all of our questions,listened to us, and eased our worries. Great experience for my first time doing this

The staff was very nice every time I came in. The manager (at least I think she was the manager) was extremely helpful and kind when assisting me with finding additional storage units after I took their last units at their location. She called around and found me the space I needed. She showed genuine concern and made my very hectic day a bit easier. Need more people in the world like her.

Due to covid we have to wear masks. The staff was not wearing a mask. And they were eating... I brought it to their attention about the masks being necessary and they said " oh yea but" and continued eating.. Some 4 more customers came in without masks and they didnt tell them anything. I ecpressed how i had lost 2 family members of covid and 23 friends and maks were necessaty and they laughed it off... I stayed and used it only because i was already there and it was a convenient location.. You need to speak to them.. Thank you
