Not happy at all with my rental. I would like to re I've a call or speak to someone about a refund of partial money. First off I ordered the largest truck I could so i believe a 26 foot truck at facility off South US 31 only 2 miles from my house. My truck was redone twice to 2 other location I assumed bc of the size of truck ordered. So moved to pendleton pike uhaul which is almost 12 or more miles from home. I moved only 5 miles away. When I arrived at facility to get truck I was told it was only a 20 foot truck. (Issue is could I not have got a 20 foot truck closer to home to cut down on milage I had to pay??). So get the truck. It was nasty inside with food on floor board. While I was there I saw a larger truck which was there when I picked up uhaul and there when I returned. Also with a smaller truck I had to do 2 trips to move which was only 20 miles or less. Yet since I got truck so far away I had almost triple milage as I should have. I refilled gas tank above half tank and have a pic. When they said it was right at what I recieved it at. I am not happy at all. I shouldhave been able to rent a truck at a closer location since I didn't even get the size truck I ordered and never recieved anything prior saying I couldn't get the correct truck size. I would have cancelled and went with a diff company closer if I knew I was getting only a 20 foot truck. I want a callback to speak to someone about these issues. This was by far the worst I have ever recieved from uhaul. The lady at desk was also very rude when I asked why I wasn't notified I wasn't receiving the correct truck size. Several issues! I rarely complain about anything. So, here's how it went…. My pickup was 10am Sunday, Sept. 18th at the Castleton 86th St. location. A lady with glasses was rude to me. There were two people in front of me at the desk. This lady asked the couple something, but I didn't hear what she said. As I was standing there, I let her know that I had done my online pre-registration. She looked at me and said, "Well, come over here then. I asked you just a few minutes ago, but you were just standing there looking down messing with your leg." I had no idea she was even talking to me a few minutes prior. I thought she was talking to the customers in front of me. Also, she continued to be rude, Constant smirking, and short tempered. She was asking questions about my drop off location, and seemed confused because I let her know I did everything online already. She continued to treat me like I was an idiot. When she gave me the key to the truck, I asked her to walk out with me because I didn't know which one to look for. Mind you…I never rented from Uhaul before. I had no idea about the truck numbers being on the bottom. She gave me zero instructions, no suggestions, and didn't inform me about there being no moving pads available on the truck. I didn't know I had to purchase them. She also failed to tell me there were 2 Uhaul storages within a couple miles of each other, so I went to the wrong one. Helping a new customer appeared to be an inconvenience to her. When I finally arrived, the staff was friendly at the Lawrence location in Indianapolis, but….apparently, all of my information was lost, or "did not transfer to that location" so I had to give them my information all over again…..and the storage unit was a lot smaller than I needed, but I was too exhausted to go back and attempt to change units. I had to let go of a few pieces of nice furniture because they did not fit. Trust me, I packed the unit! I told the person on the phone I needed a unit for a 1 bedroom apartment. Keep in mind, I never did this before, but that's what he offered me. Nothing bigger. I don't like someone treating me with disrespect, like I'm an idiot, and not offering me any suggestions, or help. I was left to simply "figure it out". Lastly, I was charged wrong. I was over charged $77, and it should've been a free first month. I am pretty good about figuring out situations, but this experience was absolutely horrible!!!Cristina G. | Premières impressions

After seeing the facility I left without moving in. There building wasn't secure there are no cameras and the doors don't lock. No keypad entry, no carts for moving items. It definitely was a subpar facility for the mo they rate. Tire was low. Cargo van was dirty and had a foot to it. Like farm animals had been in it. Luckily I was just moving a bed frame and not a whole house. The app to use to check in and get it contactless was horrible. Overall I give this experience and van 6 out 10. The staff was nice and helpful.Pamela L.

My son had to call in & speak with a customer service representative to file a complaint because a male employee yelled at us twice when he asked where we could leave the key in a return box. We asked for a manager she didn't come out. So the man came back & I said "you really should learn how to speak to customers." He lunged towards me & said "you need to learn how to speak to people." When he lunged toward me, he was so close that I could feel his spit on my cheek. Then my son went towards him in my defense & told him not to get in his mom's face. The man walked Away. Once again, we asked for the manager. She never came out. I was going to go back in the store, but was stopped by a lady who said "don't come into my store." We stood outside & waited, while calling customer service to file a complaint. After the young man was done checking in my truck I asked him to ask the manager once again to come out & speak to us. She sent her card out and said she was busy. We held on the phone & now we have spoken to Omar in customer service. It's really bad that this had to escalate to this. The manager should have come out and heard us, then apologized for her employees tone and behavior. I will wait to hear the outcome of this investigation. Hopefully they will view the many cameras on and inside the building to verify what took place. We will wait to hear from upper management. Otherwise, I will speak with my associates & proceed accordingly. I especially did not appreciate being spit on.Lalita E.

EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE! Instead of assisting customers that were waiting in line, two young guys were popping popcorn for the three of them. I get it that they were closing in 30 mins, but wouldn't you want to help your customers so they leave the store and you can go home? I will definitely be renting from Penske trucks next time.Stephen V.
UHaul corporate needs to address their communication with their customers. I was reserved for a pickup at another location. The pickup location was changed by Uhaul 24 hours prior to my pick up time and NO NOTIFICATION WAS SENT TO me. A representative called me about 14 hours prior to pickup to confirm my reservation and did not tell me that the pickup location had been changed. This is the second reservation in the last year that UHAUL Corporate does whatever it wants with a customer reservation and does not bother to communicate with the customer.Michael M.
When I returned my unit to this location, I was treated horrible by Devon Patton because of the issue with the wrongful check in at the MA location. The MA location accidentally checked in my unit at their location causing an $800 charge to my credit card which I had to report as fraud which lead to my credit card being canceled. I spent hours on the phone with my credit card company and Uhaul trying to get this matter resolved. When I returned my unit to this location, no one would provide confirmation that I actually returned my unit because it was recorded in the system as being returned at the MA location. Devon Patton proceeded to explain to me that this was my problem and not his and he was not going to sign anything to confirm I returned the rental. He said he was acting manager but he is definitely not manager material. I will never us this location again.MARK E.

They did not have our car towing dolly which we reserved. The reservation got transferred to another location without informing us ahead of time, and as a result we had to leave our car behind. It is probably corporate's fault and not this particular location.Adam C.

There were a nest of roaches inside of the moving truck and when I swept 4-5 we're running around inside of the box. Also, the truck leaked water excessively even with a small rain. Our new bed and two box springs were soaked from standing water inside the box. Also, the customer service rep at a different location stated there were services available at this location that we're not even after he made us a reservation and had us go to a different location.Thomas M.

The vehicle we were given had HUGE gauges on the passenger side wall from the top to the bottom. None of these imperfections were indicated by U-Haul ''x" sticker. Also as we were in the store finishing the paper work for the truck we overheard two employees talking about if that (that being the truck we were about to rent) was the truck the had "bumped" parking it in their lot earlier. So they knew the truck was damaged and didn't bother going through the necessary steps to mark the damaged areas for the next users aka is.Fernando R.

I love it better at Uhaul When Owen and Molly were managing the storage facility! My only complaint is that after being with Uhaul for 8 years and faithfully paying my storage bill even when I got behind from loss of work...I still kept up paying for my unit! But having to pay to have lock that wasn't mine removed really was a major issue! My keys were stolen from my car so I was prepared to pay to have my lock removed...but to get to my unit and see that a combination lock had been placed on my unit...tells me that this was done by Uhaul and there should have been the combination code to open the lock? So I feel that I should be refunded back the $50 seeing that I was made to pay upfront in order to even get the maintenance guy to come remove the lock! Customer service is really important!!!! The non-chalant, short, oh well, glad it's not me, without a smile (what I perceived from body language) manager that represents U-Haul is mind blowing. There may have been many people that abused Covid as an excuse; however, that was not the case for my family and I. We really experienced "life happenings" and when we were impacted by Covid, because of what U-Haul did in 2020 we weren't eligible. I was very disappointed that I had to move an entire 10*10 unit out because I couldn't pay $125 at a later date. It been numerous times no one will be at the desks and it's minimum 10 mins before anyone even comes to the desk. There's no signs stating that they will return.
