Have ALL the equipment that I reserved ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE at the requested pick up location AND have it ready first thing in the morning when the store opens!! My move from Eastern Pennsylvania to Eastern Ohio was one of the most stressful moves I have ever made because of the inconvenience of having to get the truck a day earlier than I wanted to insure it was ready first thing in the morning for my moving help. THEN having to drive 30 minutes away to a different location for my auto transport. Both locations were clean and helpful. It is U-Haul as a company in general that I am upset with!!Rex B.

Reservation was changed last minute from a 26' truck to a 20' by this site, We were moving out of state the next day and had no other option but to leave some belongings behind. Only compensation they gave was 70 $off which did not account for belongings that we parted with and certainly wouldn't have covered us storing our items and making a second trip to move them.KEVIN G.
There is no where to park and this area is suburban. And it makes it very inconvenient to have to be dropped off to rent a vehicle. And the check engine light was on the during the entire rental use. The unit had some mildew and pieces of insulation hanging down. The most difficult part was closing out the contract, I got everything out one evening after hours and then couldn't get in touch with the facility because they don't answer the phone. It took 2 days of calls because when it passed through to the central number they told me I could only handle it with the local office, so I spent 2 days calling until someone finally answered.Julie M. | Expérience générale

I dropped the UHaul truck off at 8:20 am and the employee asked if everything went ok. I replied yes and he said just leave the keys in it and I will check u in and email you a receipt. The employee didn't check the truck in until 9:30 causing me to be charged an extra day. I called and they fixed the issue but had to wait on hold for 40 mins before I was assisted.Scott B.

The truck we rented wasn't available closer to our house, but somehow we were able to complete the entire booking with both the location and the truck we wanted without any error messages being shown. So we had to pay for 20 miles of travel (plus 30 $of gas) on windy, wet roads when the location we requested pickup at was within 0,5 miles from our current house and 0,5 miles from the new house. The closer location shouldn't have been an option if they didn't have the type of truck we requested. When we got there to pick up the truck, there was no customer parking onsite, which was inconvenient because it means that at least 2 people must be present to pick up and drop off the truck. Additionally, we had paid for and reserved a furniture dolly because our furniture was very heavy and when we picked up the truck they told us there were no furniture dollies. The return process was fairly straightforward. Overall a poor experience with this U-Haul location.Samuel M.

The mobile app never works. The worker mixed up my alternative contact and claimed she was me, which made it so had to go inside and talk to someone. We were very UPSET at which condition the rental van was rented to us. It was DISGUSTING! Inside the cargo van was strong odor of animal barn smell. Worst was the cargo liner, walls, door handles, steps as well as tire areas were covered with thick layer of mud plus animal feces were found inside. We had spent 2 hours cleaning and sanitizing then about an hour or so drying. Also, the both seats had the same strong odor and covered with animal hairs that we try to vacuum but couldn't due to time constraints. Imagine whether you want to put your clean home furnishing and furniture in that FILTHY van!! It is U-Haul store's responsibility to make sure the rental van/truck is clean before renting one to next customer. Definitely not our responsibility to clean and sanitize your van right after renting, especially since we were Not the one who created the filth in the van! Do NOT rent to next customer in that FILTHY condition EVER!!!RAJENDRA S.

I was very frustrated at being unable to set up an online account. I wanted to extend my rental for another day, and waited endlessly on hold. I went In person, and it was too late. Everything required an online account yet it is impossible to set up. No code was sent to my email or phone number.ALLYSON P.
First this was not the location I needed or signed up for they called me and told me this was the only location available stead of asking or looking for another day Friday or Sunday near me but it wasn't even looked into. So I had to drive 20 miles extra 10 each way because of the location which means I'm paying for mileage that I should not have paid for which also means more gas and on top of all that the mirror on the passenger side would not stay in place it was dangerous and should have been caught before I took it on the road could not pass Lanes because I could not see I brought it to their attention when I got back and he told me it was just a screw that was loose which didn't help me at the time... So I overpaid I overdrive and I was in fear of getting into an accident because of maintenance issue that was not a good experience for someone that's always put U-Haul first.JOSE C.

We were helped by a guy a named Patrick he wasn't that helpful. We had requested a utility dolly and a furniture Dolly and was told they didn't have w a furniture Dolly. I was told that we would we would be charged and we were. I disputed the charges and nobody contacted me and it posted as a chargeRenee R.

The app never accepted my photo of the mileage plus fuel reading. I could not use the app to check-in. Because the mileage is digital with a refresh rate, it was very hard for the camera to get all the digits. The picture had to be perfectly timed.Scott S.

Equipment was ready to go when I arrived. My online paperwork was in the system but they still had to ask me the same questions again. Staff was friendly enough. Only real complaint was no one was inside when I picked up or dropped off. I awkwardly stood there till someone came in. Overall, took 15 minutes to pick up and 5 to drop off. Nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either.Adam S.
When I picked up the truck, it was completely out of gas. So my day started with fueling up your truck. Your guy told me I'd get a gas credit but that doesn't make up for not having the truck ready to go for me. The shop also had no furniture pads for me to rent, making the move more difficult. The steering on the truck was so bad, I was constantly sawing at the wheel just to keep it going straight. Lastly, when I dropped the truck off, the guy handling drop off told me I wouldn't get the gas credit. Dude had a thick Indian accent, making it hard to communicate with him. I had to argue with him for 5 minutes before he finally agreed that I should get one. Bad experience all around.DANIEL M.

We reserved a 10x10 unit and unfortunately when we arrived with all of our things we were storing, we were told there was no 10x10 units available. We were not notified of this prior to arriving with our Uhaul truck full of items we planned to store in a 10x10, and we had to make multiple trips to take things back that could not fit in the 5x10 unit we were given.
