I was really impressed with the mobile pick-up feature. It was quite convenient to be able to pick up the car while the location itself was closed. The only thing that could be improved is the "verification" feature. I had to give my boyfriend's phone number, and when they called, they asked for the wrong person and gave the wrong name. Either way, after he hung up, I somehow got access to the car, but there may be a glitch (human error or otherwise) on the other end in which you're mixing up customer names and phone numbers. Oh! And the only other thing that I was kind of irked about was that my "4 hour rental" was "4 hours, minus the 30 minutes it took U haul to check you in." I felt like that rental should have started when I actually got into the car. Luckily my move took much less time than I expected, but that might suck for other people in the future who aren't expecting the time they are waiting for Uhaul to confirm my identity is time that they are paying for use of the rental van. otherwise, it was great and convenient! Thanks!

The pickup was super nice, very clean.Time to get the vehicle wasn't bad, return was very fast. The only complaint that I can think of is that the website says "$.59/mile" and I was charged $.69. Not a big deal for the small number of miles I drove, but annoying.

Tote needed lubrication and maintenance. Reserved tote the day before and gave all pertinent information including credit card. Next day I had to go through the same paper work. Change your procedure. If I go through the telephone application my paperwork should be on file and immediately printable.

Truck's back door cables came off its rollers. I called uHaul support and they did send someone out late at night to fix it, but the support person was only able to disconnect the cable so the door could at least be closed. He said he could get someone else out in the morning to complete the fix, but I needed to leave early in the morning. For $500 to rent the truck, I am expecting everything to work. I was impressed that uHaul sent someone out late at night to help fix it, but it was still a pain being up all night and then still dealing with a door with its spring disconnected. I would at least think that uHaul would take some amount off the rental cost.

Worse customer service experience ever! Called to extend my reservation, was on hold 15-20 minutes all 5-6 times I called! Finally got rolled to someone that apparently didn't know what they were doing. Thought I was all good only to get a call from the GM threatening me with police and that the vehicle would be reported stolen! She never asked me what was going on, what my intentions were nothing and when I tried explaining to her that I had already taken care of it with corporate, she basically called me a liar, wouldn't listen and hung up on me! Will never use or recommend them ever!!

How about tell your co workers and employee to keep their personal issues to themselves, people dont need to hear personal issues while trying to get a truck or trailer, hey you have a job to do be proffesional if you cant work a day or two then why have a job? I dont need to know you have issues with your own boss and scheduling. I dont need to knoe you have a new girlfriend and how and where you found her. Second of all if a customer doesnt know certain things try and explain instead of rolling your eyes and act like you know it all, overall the equipment was decent, checkout was longer then expected. No other customers were around and it took awhile (I was there at 7 AM no other customers ) The maplewood off of whitebear ave, I wouldnt recommend it. Unless you want a jerry springer or maury live tv show then go there.

We had reserved a 15’ truck as we needed the space but 2 days before our pickup date we were called saying they have a 10’ truck ready to pickup. Granted we got a alright deal for the inconvenience but instead of assuming downgrading is okay (which it wasn’t and we had to throw away a good amount of our belongings because of this), please call and ask if we would prefer a downgrade or upgrade in size truck. Other than that the move went smoothly.

I used the online checkin to pick up the truck and when I went inside to pick up the keys, there was a really long line. The website said to skip the line, and I did, but it really upset the next customer and she got pretty mad and yelled at me for skipping the line. I think it would be helpful to have a sign up by the counter for a separate line for people who use the online check in so the other customers know whats going on.

1. The staff is not adequate for the volume of business. One sales person is quickly overwhelmed and it took some time for her to figure out the charges. By the time I completed my simple local rental, there were four calls on hold and three people in line. 2. This is not on the dealer, but the after-hours check-in is a joke (on me). The app doesn't work as advertised. It says you can check in with your email, phone or contract. They were just kidding. You can only use the contract number. I found this out from phone support after being on hold for a half hour. When I finally got the app to run, I had to take pictures of the dash, two pictures of the truck, and finally where it was parked. 3. U-Haul boxes all say to take them back to the store so they can be recycled and use by other people. This store does not do that. They were kind enough to let me throw them into their dumpster.

I had a bearing failure in my personal trailer. I called and was able to reserve a uhaul trailer at the last minute. I came in 5 min before close and Ms Wanda was smiles, no judgement no anger. She stayed later to help me. The entire staff was pleasant. She saved me that weekend. Please communicate to Ms Wanda and the team that it is a pleasure having them in a time of need. At 7:10 in the morning there were at least 6 customers in line. It took almost an hour to sign my paperwork and get on the road. I expect your business suffers from employees not showing up to work, creating the backlog for those up front trying to expedite picking up equipment. Even though things are prearranged, it is disappointing to lose an hour of productivity to get through what should have been clean and easy. Your people were professional and friendly, it is just sad commentary on the apathy of too many in our workforces today. Thanks for the attempt at a great experience

Wanda was amazing! She was so helpful and really knew her job. When I dropped off the truck, the woman who was supposed to receive it was washing the return before and ignored me for several minutes. She never acknowledged me. I went in and Wanda had the situation well in hand. When she questioned the woman washing the truck why she ignored me, she replied that she couldn’t leave the soap on the van. It seemed like a terrible reason to provide bad service. Luckily Wanda saved the day! Promote that woman!

Provide accurate information upfront. I feel I was miles by this location and by Customer Service at 1-800-GO-U-Haul. I was told that since I was dropping the trailer off in Grand Forks earlier than the three days allowed that the charges would be prorated based on the actual time I had the trailer in my possession. I returned the trailer after using one day. I was told by the representative in Grand Forks that I would be charged for all three days. Sure enough, I was charged for all three days even though I had the trailer for one day. I wish your employees could more honest up front so I can make a decision based on accurate information.

They are not very responsive. When I picked up my trailer I was supposed to be given a pack of packing blankets but they were not in the trailer. I called the Uhaul 800 number and they said the local office would call me shortly-that was two days ago and I have not received a call and I have not been credited for the missing blankets.

This location was in the middle of a street construction zone. it took me a while to get into it. Had to go over a mile out of my way to be able to turn into the lot. Then waited nearly a half hour to talk with a scheduler. One guy took all that time to talk with Spanish speaking customers and from what i could understand is he was enjoying showing off his language skills. while we waited..

The stated level of the gas gauge was incorrect at checkout which led to me having to put in 8 gallons of gas for a 28 mile trip. I was handed the keys to an unfamiliar truck with no instruction and the assumption that the employee signing out the vehicle had verified that the gas level was the same as stated in the contract. Same employee three hours later took no responsibility or showed any flexibility. I will be sharing this experience with all that will listen.

I did want to mention that man and woman working the front desk that morning (around 11:00) did a great job dealing with an irate customer that was upset because they wouldn’t let him leave with a trailer because his lights weren’t working right. He was pretty upset and I thought the folks working did a good job handling him.

The location is really weird to maneuver around. We had a paint can spill while we were in transit. We tried to look for a place to wash it out, but we were unsuccessful. We told them this upon drop off. When I showed them I continued to clean it up with what I had and they gave me a scraper. I eventually gave up and told them I did the best I could. Then guy cleaning and checking in the vehicles comes over with some magic spray that cleans it up with no problem. I am highly irritated at this because two of the employees saw what I was doing. I will never use this location again.
