Access to driveway of location is only from northbound lane on White Bear Avenue so that requires planning or a workaround when you get there. One staff person wasn't wearing COVID face mask when I arrived but did later put it on.

The person who installed the hitch and the trailer didn't do it properly. The trailer fell off on 694 and could've caused an accident and several injuries. I had to pull over unhook the chains and go get a new hitch because the hitch it'self fell off my vehicle that the U-Haul person installed. There was also some minor damage to my 2019 Yukon. Very unfortunate as I asked the guy to ensure he didn't forget the trailer hitch.

Too long of a wait when I got there (more than 20 minutes) even though I checked in online. It is absurd that you require a relative phone number even though you have my credit card, home address, copy of my driver license, and my license plate. I rent cars that are valued at my than $70k without having to provide another contact.

I reserved a 26' truck and there was no truck except for a 15' truck. We ended up with the 15' truck and a 6' by 12' trailer. It was not satisfactory.

It took 45 mns to check in. I was told I had to return the trailer by 3 pm because it was rented for 3 15. I will never patronize that location. The only saving grace were the friendly employees.

Hire more people and have the right inventory. What a mess that place is, nearly every order around me was wrong. Took me an hour to pick up the trailer because one guy was left alone to check in all the people. What's the point of the online check in process if you still have to go online and stand with everyone to pick up. This company has serious process issues to figure out.

40 minute wait in line to get my storage unit. Then they priced it at $114 over the phone or when I showed up she said it was $199.

Trailer was dirty and employee refuse to clean it up. He said to just return it dirty since that's the way I received it. I mention to him that I needed to haul my mattress and other clean items paid no attention what's so ever he just said to return as received.

I got charged $20 because the app didn't work for picking up my location when I went to drop the van off. I even called after hours and no one responded. Also got charged $20 for $5 worth of gas. I was too exhausted to fill up the minimal amount as I had worked all day and had a finite amount of time to move heavy and many items only to do it all again the next day. Uhaul shouldn’t expect renters to refill tanks. Or at least penalize them terribly when they can’t. The space is also too small for 195.00 a month . When I checked in the clerk only gave me the rental vehicle and didn’t notice I was renting a space. I am severely disappointed.

Have more employees working so it doesn't take so long to grab your keys. The “skip the line” option didn't work well. When I popped into the store to just get the truck keys I waited over 30 minutes since there were two people ahead of me making truck reservations for that day. 3 people and myself were lined up behind them waiting to grab our keys. The system didn't work. Additionally, the $25 cleaning fee that was added onto my bill at the end of use was ridiculous. I left the truck cleaner than when I got it so I should not have been charged that fee.

My experience with the maplewood white bear ave uhaul was great this time !!! Jared was very pleasant to work with!! The guy out back who helped put trailer on was very kind and talked with me. My husband took my ball off my hitch so I was able to borrow one -very kind !!! When I got back it was a few min after 7 and it was snowing and I'd had a s*** day already.. the 2 helped me unload it.. I believe I heard one guy use the name Alonzo.. and the other guy idk his name.. very nice of them to help me quick ! I appreciated that!! Hands down best service I've had since I've dealt with them !!! Good job guys !!!

I'm a little disappointed, not in this location. The people there were great. I'm disappointed in U-Haul in general. I go online and put in all my info so I don't have to wait but more importantly so my people helping me don't have to wait to get the equipment. When I show up to pick up I end up waiting and having to re-enter all my data all over again. Your online experience is frustrating and the pre-pickup exercises a waste of time. One way or another I guess you're going to waste some time with the way your system is currently set up.

Worst truck I've ever rented. I know not was a rotation truck but this was totally unacceptable. Cab interior was sticky throughout, not clean at all, and with the covid pandemic...really? I've reported this to my local health department. Good luck.

At 1:30 I realized I needed more “room” for my move. Within 30 mins I had left, rented a truck and was back home loading it. Then, the next day I was able to unload the truck into the storage area. Clean, convenient and well maintained. Thank you for solving my moving issues on the fly!

I received a used container that was smaller than standard, rotten wood, which broke and fell apart during the move, leaked water on my furniture and I have to file an insurance claim. Box came at 5pm (2 hours before dark) and than picked up bright and early two days later leaving me with me barely 42 hrs to pack (as long as I packed in the dark)hmmm, not impressed and sorry I sure can't recommend your company to anyone I know with confidence.

I have used U Haul several times in the past year, it would be nice if I could pick up the equipment I need at the locations i request. I have had to go to locations way out of my way to get the equipment i needed and way out of my way to return it!

Focus on the customer. Don't look at cell phone photos of a coworkers baby when you have a long line of customers, especially when you are the owner according to the name badge. Also when corporate tells me I can get the 20ft truck at the 15 ft price because my 15 ft truck was given away to someone else, don't ask me what you are supposed to do about the person who had the 20 ft truck reserved. Not the customer's problem.

The biggest issue was waiting in line for an hour - despite having a reservation. I think everyone did. The problem was that for most of that time there was only one person able to work the front desk. So that may likely be a corporate issue. Or a protocol issue -- for example staggering people's pickup times could also help. I had to wait another 1/2 hour to work through an ordering error that had U-Haul documents showing I would return the Truck (not the trailer) by noon. Jamie, the manager, had me call corporate. Corporate gave no help at all. Their only offer was that I could pickup a truck in NEW BRIGHTON at 2! Ridiculous. I kept pressing for resolution and she said said that the manager (Jamie) could make her own decisions. By then it was 9:30 a.m. (an hour and a half to get the truck and trailer) and Jamie said okay -- you've waited far too long you can have the truck for the 24-hours you signed up for. I think Jamie should get a raise or promotion or some bonus for making a wise decision and salvaging a decent recommendation / review for U-Haul. I was very grateful for her empathy - especially with six friends lined up and waiting to help me move a 3 BR house and double garage.

Please add a clear note on the trailer's rear gate saying: "Open latch fully before lifting gate to prevent door getting jammed." It took us 30 minutes to get the gate back down because the rear latch was not fully open and it was blocking the gate from coming down.

Confusing service with uhaul. Kept getting sent to different locations. None of their staff was not trained on how to remove our trailer at final stop. My driver had to show him how to do this, and then do it himself. Very odd. Obviously, need to be trained on your equipment. Told me I was at the wrong location. Had me call my insurance agent, then lost all the info. Manager had her put down a fake insurance policy number. Very unorganized, but very friendly. Need training on their equipment. Not professional at all there. Talking about getting high before work. Manager eating while talking at the desk. They all said things, I would not allow in my business. Including the manager. Staff needs to be trained on being professional and organized. We were surprised to find that at Uhaul.
