U-Haul's call center is slow and not helpful â€" my initial call went to the call center when I attempted to reach a local U-Haul corporate yard. I had already input the type of trailer I needed on the web site before placing the call, and had to wait on hold for 5+ minutes for the call to go through. Once connected, it appeared the call center employee had the results of my web site input in front of him (I assume based on my phone #). I repeated what equipment I needed and where I wanted to pick the trailer up â€" he then wasted 10 minutes of my time walking me through the entire reservation process (including multiple disclaimers AND taking my credit card info) before telling me that NO U-Haul sites within 25 miles of my location had the type of trailer I needed available. I ended the call, and placed a second call to another U-Haul yard about 5 miles from the location where I initially wanted to pick up a trailer. The woman who answered at that location said they had multiple trailers in the size & type I needed on hand. When I arrived at the yard to pick up the trailer, I mentioned how unhelpful the call center was â€" the woman on the counter (same person I spoke with at that site) said it happens all the time â€" call center tells customers no trailers are available, when her location is “drowning in trailers”.

I filled up the truck and the guage did not even move and ended up filling 4 gallons for 20miles. After I got close to the location the guage started moving and ended up filling way more then I needed to. The last was also rude at checkin. I don't know why but you guys always add an extra mile when I'm not there. I have a business and I don't do this and this is not right. I think I'm going to have to start posting actual info online before someone has to take action.

I know every business is short staffed this year. This location #706068 did as best as possible because of the Saturday staffing when I returned the equipment. There were Two people on duty from what I observed. One lot person and one contract closer.

The staff were helpful as they could be considering the software issues. The units that were supposed to be available were not. The unites were recorded as different sizes in the system then they obviously were in plain sight. I was charged a rate higher than listed on the website and on the paperwork I was provided when I arrived at this location. It took over 1 and a half hours to rent the unit. After an all day trip. Alimony didn't have a unit after I reserved online. Es told it is first come first serve. Why reserve then?

Rep said I needed my cell phone. No other uhaul rep in other locations and states have disappointed me over not having my cell phone on me. Gas cost and it was not cost affordable for me to drive home to get my phone and come back to pick up my reserved trailer. SMH

I was so disappointed when the Pyrairetes location in Rancho that I'd been going to for years changed managers. The current on is one of rudest people I've ever encountered. The Mills Station location is fantastic, friendly & professional.

This is the second time in 2 months that I have rented a truck from this location. The first time, the online check in did not work and you have to go through the entire process again when you show up, This time they gave me a truck they did not have the keys for! They gave me paperwork for that truck and then said to just remember what the gas tank was sitting at and the mileage! NO!!!! I wanted proof. And then they charged me twice! And then charged me the actual amount as to when I returned the truck. It was bad! I don't ever intend to go here again!

Upon return I dropped the key into the slot prior to photographing mileage. Unable to exit Uhaul online checkout. Computer program needs to have another door out. Move days can be emotionally draining, physically exhausting. Returning the truck is like the end of a marathon. Passing the finish line but then navigating paperwork.

Fix the online rental system. It did not work and I had to spend the time reentering all information that I did online. There was no "Pick up my Truck".

This is the 2nd time we used uhaul at this location. We traveled the exact same distance. The first time was 53 miles and this second time the tell us it was 80 miles. Adding $30 to our charge. Something was wrong. When I pointed that out to the woman working there, they did not budge, offered no solution and refused to believe that there was something wrong. Unfortunately I did not record the outgoing mileage. They had sent me a text but didn't tell me a text was coming. Overall the customer service was awful. Not willing to solve the problem, or meet us halfway. We will not be back.

The two people I spoke to over the phone to originally reserve the truck were very nice and easy to work with. Oh my goodness, Jessica was so great to work with. She was very pleasant and explained everything so well. She really took quality time with us. When we returned the truck a small statured African American young lady helped us. She was equally friendly, helpful and polite. There was I think a middle age hispanic guy who helped us too upon our return. He was super nice, polite and helpful too. Go Uhaul! Awesome team! I used the app check in on my phone for the first time and found it wouldn't work if you missed your reservation by only a few minutes. I was able to rebook the reservation quickly and complete the check out. The truck had dirty windows and I had to sweep the loading area before using it. All the employees I talked to were very nice. I let them know about the cleanliness issue upon return.

The one downside I found was that my unit was on the second story and there isn't a service elevator to help get heavy items up and down, forcing you to use the stairs..not the safest/most efficient. The plus side however, was the unit was very clean and was a better price then other units I had looked into.

The facility had short fences. Broken fences. Not enough cameras. The employees told us they never walk around and check the cars out. They are not liable for anything lost or stolen, or thefts they say. Homeless drug addicts a Hang out where the fence was broken I'm the back by my car. My car was vandalized numerous times. Someone stole a lot out of it. They wouldn't credit me anything for my trouble.

I have used uhaul for a number of years in different states and this is the first time I've felt the need to write a bad review. My car was damaged on the property due to negligence on uhaul's part. I paid for car storage and after 5 weeks of being away I came back to a big dent in the top of my car. It was obviously from something being dropped on it. Uhaul has been doing work under the awing that my car my under and never made sure the contractors were using protection for people's cars in case something was dropped. They honestly didn't care about the damage and said they weren't responsible for it since they say you rent here at your own risk. They have also had break ins into RVs. I would NOT leave your vehicle here.

My boat was broken into and my $2500 stereo system stolen and $2400 worth of damage was done to my boat motor and fuel tank. All of which UHaul refused to pay a penny for. Need I say more ?

My storage was broken into multiple times, staff told me there was nothing they could do for damages. When I moved my stuff out of the storage they continued to bill me for 5 months after leaving.

Lots of break-ins. My trailer was broken into twice in just 10 months. 5 trailers in total broken into the same day my trailer was broken into. Uhaul management did not reach out to me to inform me if the re-occuring break-ins. Never received apology from Uhaul. Had to call the police myself to have them come out to investigate the break-ins. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY TO STORE YOUR RV/TRAILER. CHECK OUT REVIEWS AND PICTURES ON YELP.

I was broken into twice. They broke the window twice and stole 2 radios Your insurance co will not cover anything. I have a $3 000 out of pocket expense. So no I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My travel trailer was broke into and vandalized. Staff showed no empathy. 10 other trailer were broken into, as well. Very poor staff and will tell everyone to stay away.

Staff were always very polite and friendly. The facility, however, has extremely poor security and is an easy target for break-ins. Our RV trailer was vandalized twice while stored at the facility, as was all the neighboring RV trailers next to us. The last vandalism to the trailers was extreme. When reported, the staff gave us insurance pamphlets and said they were sorry, and said that it's a problem at that facility. No improvements were ever made, so we really had no choice but to leave.

Our travel,trailer as well as 10 others were broken into by the homeless population. What upset us the most was the fact that none of the employees thought to notify us. We were very fortunate however as ours was one of the smaller ones soother units were more desirable to sleep and eat food in. We did lose some possessions. When we finally heard from the manager in charge, she was very nice. We no longer have our RV there. This seems to be problematic at other storage facilities that are close to Folsom Blvd and the railroad tracks.

I was paying $139/ Month to storage my Motorhome in their yard and I had the catalytiv converter stolen within 2 months of been there I show the staff the condition of the fence around the property, It is Falling apart, they are not even attempting to secure that area and the whole storage looks like a junk yard I have pictures if you want them.

Staff are friendly but the location is not secure, my car was broken into and the stereo was stolen. I am out of state and nobody even notified me. I know that probably isn't their job but it would seem like a basic courtesy. I asked my parents to check on the vehicle and that is when I found out. Not really sure what I was paying for to be honest. Unless you are storing your car there to abandon it, I would not reccomemnd you use that storage facility.

The clerk named Paul gave us an exceptional experience somehow help release tensions of moving in. The offer of a month free storage is a big big big plus factor that I am truly grateful for. Uhaul is a one stop shop everything is in here coupled with Paul who assisted us all throughout. I should say smoothly done and Perfect. Merci.

Generally convenient and helpful staff, but the security could be improved. We had parts and fuel stolen on separate occasions. The fence surrounding the vehicle enclosure is low and easily jumped.

I know they cannot control the vandals that came in and broke into locks of mine and multiple RVs, but it did make me want to leave. Maybe not having vehicles right next to the fences so people could easily climb over might help. Or higher fences. The staff was amazing and did everything they could to help.

The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous but they are often understaffed. The same person is moving trucks in the parking lot, installing hitches on cars, checking people into new storage units and selling merchandise in the store. Seems like a lot for one person at a time and I doubt they're making enough money to compensate. Please take care of your employees!

I stored a boat there along the fence adjoining an industrial park. My boat cover was untied and moved to a car in the industrial park. Fortunately, I was able to recover my $200 boat cover.

I rented a storage unit for about 6 months. Once my belonging were moved there was water marks on some of them as the unit had water within. My auto payment processed on a closed account.
