I was told 2 different things when I was trying to get my truck keys using the uhaul app. The first person told me I needed a third party they could call to verify who I am before they could approve me to the lock-box code. This added 30 minutes that went no where. I ended up resubmitting my “already-had” info for a reservation I made 2 days before and spoke to a different person who didn’t even need to call that previously mentioned third party. Then the stats for the fuel were wrong. There was less gas than it said there was. So I took a picture and sent it to uhaul. I said I needed 30 miles, only used 20, and the uhaul guy that inspected the truck when I was done was giving me a hard time for not putting 1/16 of a tank of gas in the already below required fuel limit. I called him out on his BS, and told him they messed up by not putting gas in the truck before I even Got it. Once he saw I wasn’t lying and he looked stupid, he stopped trying to talk to me. The idea of doing everything online is honestly fantastic. But lazy people ruin something that could be cool.

Worst customer service I have received in a long time. The guy that helped me was not helpful at all and I felt like I was being treated poorly because of my skin color. The units was way smaller than expected and I torn my white leather loveseat getting into the unit. When I expressed how I was dis pleased about my unit he radioed his team member asking for a bigger unit with a roll up door and I was told none was available but a hour later a Caucasian couple was complaining about the same type of unit and they gladly gave that couple a unit that I had desired/Needed. Also during my move I was able to locate a receipt from which me and my ex girlfriend had used the same u haul location for a truck rental and did about the same commute and was charged about $100 cheaper than my current visit. The money isn't the big issue but the lack of respect and poor customer service is . A day later I had to get another storage from a different company and I tell you I was very pleased on how helpful and patient they were. Also pleased with my huge unit for basically the same price as u haul. I've never seen a $130 storage where you can't store a love seat and Couch in the unit without damaging in it?? I hope this matter gets the attention needed to make sure this type of customer experience never repeats itself. For now you have lost me as a customer. ??

Took 2 hours after loosing my brothers reservation, sat 2 hours in the parking lot for them to get a grip an figure out why they screwed things up , get the truck the letter combo lock breaks I called an was told 4 to 5 hour wait time for road side or I could drive the half loaded truck an have the lock cut off ,which I had to do the truck had front end problems was pretty unstable at 45 floating all over the lane ,next time I will bot use uhaul they employees were wonderful I fully blame corporate for this ,I'll be renting else where from here on out !

We were delivered 2 containers after requesting 1. They were dropped off by a rude employee in green sweat pants who proceeded to tell us "You didn't talk to me!" when we explained we requested 1 box and had confirmed it with Uhaul 3 times. She also lied and told us the jack was broken and that that was why the boxes were delivered on a trailer. When they came to pick them up on Thursday, the REAL truck driver arrived with the truck and lift after not being told the boxes were delivered on a trailer. This delayed the boxes being removed by 5 or 6 hours as they had to go get a box truck with a hitch and come back to remove the trailer and emptied u-boxes.

The gas gage must have been off. I drove 12 miles and when I went to fill the tank it took almost 4.5 gallons of fuel. Very curious. I know the tank gage was slightly below the full mark but still disappointing.

Customer Service picking up the truck was perfect and gentleman helped us just fine. Truck well maintained. The issue was “The Drop Off”. We brought the truck back on time with 1/4 Tank which was required. Didn’t see the sign where to bring in the truck. We did have an appointment to get to so I came in saying hey here to drop off the truck and both employees where very rude asking where you park it ? I said I didn’t no where I do park it and both where super rude saying “DRIVE THE TRUCK OVER THERE PLEASE”! I told them .. I’m sorry can you guys just take it please we’re in a hurry . Which most places that are customer understanding would help and just move the truck. I told both the Employees I would leave a review that’s fine I’ll move the truck my apologies. After walking out to move the truck. The gentleman of the two came out No No I’ll move it it’s my job apparently sarcastically . Saying oh should I send the bill to the email on the contract like it was some form a threat. We will be submitting a feather review on Yelp and also my wife will be calling corporate. Won’t be back to this location. Will make sure our Social Media following will hear about the experience of this location on YouTube. Thanks

Not all Uhauls are the same. The Murrieta location is far better than my experience at the Overland Park, KS location and the Temecula location on Jefferson. Better service, cleaner facility and equipment, helpful staff.

A service tech needs to do a safety check on all of the trailer tires. After driving for 2 hours with the trailer, I discovered one of the trailer tires was going flat. Almost 2 hours of waiting for roadside assistance, the repair tech discovered a faulty valve stem that wasn’t holding air. This could have been very bad if I hadn’t noticed the flat and started driving on the highway with my new vehicle on the u haul trailer. Also, u haul needs to provide quicker roads side assistance. This was a Friday after noon and that response time is not acceptable.

We hired a car dolly and 26’ truck with a box dolly. The truck broke down on us whilst driving to our new home. We called for assistance and about 1.5 hours later a mechanic came out to assess and told us we had a truck that had a bust fuel pump and that it could break down again anytime. We were told that we were to wait fo a semi truck to come and tow us to our destination and it never came. It got to 12 midnight and we had been broken down for over 4 hours with no help. We had been deliberately cut off from the road side assistance 4 times and no one had rung us back. We had no heating/food/water or access to a bathroom, we also had two dogs with us and medications we needed access to in the truck which we could not get to. We request accommodation and were told that hotels were sold out and given no alternative option to help us. We managed to start he truck up at 2am an decided to try and make it to our destination which we did. By the time we got home it was gone 2am and 7 am by the time we had finished unpacking. We are highly disappointed and dissatisfied with the service we were given and left stranded for hours in the cold with very little support or help. The car dolly we had was given to us with a handle missing which made it difficult for us to move it around manually and the mechanic who was called out to assess the truck told us it should never have been released to us in that state.

Equipment was fraudulently rented in my name while currently stationed at fort Irwin and when issue was brought to managers attention it was down played as “ maybe a friend of yours used your account” why is there no safety measures to protect people identity and accounts and why if the drivers license and credit card don’t match the account why did that not raise any red flags. I really think your system is flawed and something needs to be done immediately about that. Yes I agree my credit card info and drivers license was not used for the rental but I clearly have a receipt for a rental that I’ve never made reservations for. I was told that U-haul is investing it but never heard from anyone since then( kendell Harry 760-554-3241)

Your policy on 'in-town $1.09 a mile' on Saturdays is absolute garbage. I wanted to take this UHaul round trip from Murrieta to Costa Mesa and back (above 150 miles) but couldn't because it was considered 'in town'. Staff unwilling to budge in-store and over the phone. In-store staff told me to call and the phone people told me to go in. Just gave up and made inconvenient arrangements to not pay you guys double the fare (keep in mind this truck was dropped off Saturday and sat until Sunday, could've doubled your mileage income). I will attempt to go with Budget, Enterprise, or someone else next time because of this. Unless their policy is worse than yours you have lost a loyal customer (I have rented uhauls many times). I fully intended to cancel my order but couldn't because other services weren't widely available in Murrieta. Now that I am in OC I will do due diligence. If I am driving this thing 150 miles it is certainly not 'in town' and should get $.40 a mile like everyone else. $1.09? Keep it. I'll go elsewhere. 3 stars to Jefferson for being well stocked. 0 stars on service.

Truck was completely out of gas, forcing me to get gas first before I could do anything. They told me someone had siphoned the gas from multiple trucks, an excuse I have heard before. Either lies or incompetency because they don't care about the inconvenience caused the customer. Also, the U-Haul App sucks. it takes at least twice as long as normal check-out and check-in. I recommend not using it unless there is no other option.

Cigarette ashes inside cup holder. Gas tank was not half full as listed. Mileage was also off by 1 mile. When I clicked the link to see pre-existing damages on the truck, it already expired as soon as I got it. Every time I call the store, always “busy” that it automatically sends me to a call center or something. Poor service.

I had trouble starting the truck after it was turned off. I had to get help from a couple men that had a strong legs to engage the engine. It never happened before. Also the brakes were a little squishie. Not a good feeling when driving a big truck. I told the girl my issues when I dropped off the truck.

At time was charged 14.00 per day road fee to card for 4 days. I questioned the fee because we decided to drive straight to california from phoenix. The employee said the fee would be reimbursed for days when return drop off!! Drop off location said NO Arizona Uhaul lied. Someone a Uhaul kept the extra 41.00. RENTERS BEWARE !

I had dropped a pair of basketball tickets in the truck I rented. The person that checked me in found the tickets In the truck after I had left the location. They called me and told me they found my basketball tickets on the floor of the truck. I was on my way to the game at that time. I no idea I had dropped my basketball tickets. Better maintenance of the vehicles. The truck I rented had a change oil soon notification on it. Had issues with a bill from 10 years ago that I had no knowledge of. It was handled well.

Rented a pickup truck for the sole purpose of hauling a travel trailer to a new location less than twenty miles. On the pickup I was given the wiring harness didn’t have any power going to it. Very disappointed. Someone should have checked to ensure the harness had power going to it before they sent me out in the truck. I explained to the attendant why I was renting the truck. Not a good situation.

As i have discussed with ur regional office. My quote...per john after business hrs.. went from 560 to 725 when i attempted to rent the truck. Luckily Deidre was able to assist. I pd for them to connect my vehicle by josway. This young man is completely inexperienced and ultimately the strap fell off while in route. I contacted them immediately as i dis not want another customer to experience the same. Serious risk. Upon my arrival...i realised that murrieta branch...josway...had input the wrong drop off spot. I contacted uhaul to change to the one i had requested and i was on the phone for 40 min trying to change unril i spoke with Rachel?...who assisted me in under 2 min. Now upon arrival to have corrected drop spot to remove the tow hitch...(regional office was on the phone at this time and over heard this entire conversation) i was told he did NOT know how to do it...this was outside while i was waiting for paperwork because the female at this location could not process returning just the hitch...20 mins later...i removed the hitch myself and in the process injured my right hand and 2 knuckles. In pain and infuriated...the female exits to the outside with my paperwork and i leave with just the truck as i had to continue to move. I did return the truck today and again was not able to get my concluding paperwork as bob or bill could not figure out how to do so. I left with a hand written note stating the truck...mileage...fuel etc was in tact and i am currently awaiting my closing paperwork via email. Moving is very stressful but this experience was hands down appalling and refuse to ever rent from uhaul again. If u have any further questions regarding this experience...pls call me

This location was short staff really bad especially on a Saturday is just ridiculous and not fair to those associates. lines were extremely long and I had to wait in line 40 mins just to rent a pick up truck. Plenty people were not happy because they were waiting outside for a very long time just to get some Propane Tank...

The trailer i went to rent had cracking tires. There was another trailer behind it with good tires but was told no you can't have that one it's already got a reservation as did I. So I was told I needed to buy insurance to cover the tires should they blow on per the guy who was hooking up the trailer. I said no way I should have to if you had good equipment so talked to a manager and wss told no need to have it. Then the guy who was joking up trailer gave me an attitude. I feel as though I never deserved one since I never gave him one. I just wanted a trailer that was safe and wasn't going to give me issues.
