The pickup was good. It was the drop off I’m disgusted with. I put the keys in lock box and left, it was dark and I didn’t realize until I got home you have to be at the location to complete transaction. I went back to location to complete and it failed. I tried so many times . I even tried to speak with someone on chat and nobody never replied and also call the 800 number and I only got the prompts, never spoke to anyone. I left there tired, cold and frustrated.

I brought the truck back after hours and was not aware that a after hours fee applies. When I called the branch theybtild me I had to call customer service. When I called they told me it was up to the branch and that the manager was in the branch and she would call me within 72 hours but most likely today. Well she wasnt in and wont be until Thursday.. I do not like having to wait 3 days to speak to someone to resolve an issue..I will never use uhaul again if this is not resolved

I was charged more because I returned the vehicle after the location closed even though the website was not functioning on my phone when I tried to do the return online myself. That was a bit upsetting.

When I walked in without a reservation the women was very nice polite and she explained everything and prompt!, I was in and out within 10 minutes she was Great ! When I return the van, the guy did a through check told me how much I was being charged, sent me a email My total experience was Great! Thank You Uhaul your always there for Me !

I dropped off after hours. Again, my location was changed, costing me valuable time on a holiday weekend. Needless to say, I will not be using your service again. Hertz and Budget have plenty of alternative offerings and will gain my business as the result of the repeated deficiencies on the part of Uhaul and its franchises.

U-Haul should purchase more auto transport trailers? Every employee I dealt with in this matter, made it seem as if I should be privileged to be getting this trailer. Somewhat rude in most conversations. From multiple scheduling employees, pick up, and drop off employees. I don’t believe this is a positive reflection for a first time customer to be a returning customer.

I was over charged $20 for a dolly and pads which I did not use. I was told I would have an answer about a credit in 3 days and no answer has come. I spoke to Wendy at the call center.

Your staff needs to maintain better records of fuel in vehicle when renting it out. The papers on my rental stated 5/8 Fuel Tank and in reality it was less than that. Then when I return the vehicle, which I added fuel it showed less than 5/8 and I was charged $6. The issue that I have with that is that how can I incur $6 worth of gas when I only drove the truck for 12 miles and added fuel before returning it. It is a shame that we cannot trust the people maintaining records of vehicles to keep accurate records. If in the future I rent another vehicle from your company, I will need to take snapshot of the dashboard showing mileage as well as Fuel Tank Gage before leaving the premises and once again after returning to the premises. That is if I rent again from you.

Mileage was 7 miles off. I took a picture of the mileage at vehicle pick up, and tried explaining that to the clerks when vehicle was returned; and all I was told was that: "this is what was in the system, so this is what we have to go by". Granted, 7 miles isn't bad, but it's the principal. And that I had to try to explain it for 5 minutes, in the rain, and still had to pay the 7 mile difference. The back of the 10 foot van was never swept clean when I picked it up too, so I was glad that I didn't get charged for that too. I rent here because of convenience, but simple matters like this may make me rethink my choices in the future. Also, it may be wise to check out the vehicles every now and then. The transmission kept feeling like it was slipping. Luckily my rental 'driving' experience went uneventful.

I was fortunate to have dealt with great people the entire time. The customer service person and the general manager in New Windsor are great. I also had a really helpful person help me with the storage dock. The driver was so friendly and efficient, too. I would recommend calling the customer directly to discuss the transportation of the Uboxes. I had to call several people to get it organized, but everyone was very nice all the same. I wish I could have booked moving help directly from the location but was way too expensive ($900??!) . I had to hire someone else locally and they showed up late and left early. They were efficient and nice guys but I feel I overpaid for that service. Anyway, I'm happy everything is done and thank you again for all of your help.

My check out and check in with the Uhaul app however was a near disaster, saved only by an early arriving employee. NEVER eliminate the people who work there, it feels like you are making the renters do the work for you. Took 10 minutes to return the van after hours using the app. I won't do that again.

I was initially denied the rental due to my son having a balance with uhaul. I know this because the drivers driver's license was not mine and just the name was the same. I was punished by uhaul for something I did not do. Probably the worst customer service I have been subjected to. The individual should be held accountable and not some catch all policy that hurts the customer that had nothing to do with the balanced owed. A horrible policy that should be removed.

Reservation was easy, the associate who checked me out was good. The associate when I returned was amazing. Asked all the right questions with some fun small talk. Solid location. will try mobile pick up next time.

Used 24/7 rental to rent a pickup at 5 a.m. pickup. Took lyft to uhaul. Truck not accessible as it was locked inbetween 2 other pickups. Called uhaul, they sent me to another location that had a van available (another lyft ride) No truck available. Called uhaul back. Nothing they could do. Took another Lyft to first uhaul location. Had to wait a hour and 15 before it opened. General manager of location waited on me. She said they couldn't be responsible for someone returned a vehicle and blocked what I had rented. She proceeded to pull a key hanging off the wall and rent me the vehicle that was blocking the original truck I booked. So the gm, outright lied, unless of course, returned a vehicle, broke into the facility, and hung the key on the wall. Uhaul offered a $50 credit to me, (doesn't cover the 2 hours lost time nor the Lyft's I had to pay going to one locstio on to another) The 50 still hasn't hit my account. Doubt it will occur.

I rented a Car hauling trailer. I picked up the trailer on Thursday evening. I drove to Midland Park NJ on Friday morning in order to pickup a vehicle and move it to Rutland, MA. When we loaded the vehicle I did an inspection of the trailer and connections before moving. The left trailer tires, both of them, had less than 15 lbs. of pressure each. It is reasonable to believe that either of these tires could have blown out on the highway on the trip to NJ. It is even more likely that a blow out would have occurred on the trip to MA. A blow out would have caused a serious accident, damage to the Ford F350 that I was driving and destroyed my antique vehicle had I not performed a "Pre-Flight" inspection as I have done since my days in the Army. I brought the issue to the staff member that checked me out on Saturday morning. I would have dropped the trailer the night before, but wanted to properly address the issue. He said he would bring it to the attention of the site manager and would put my account on hold pending her review. He also said she would call me. I did not receive a call. All I received was a bill for 2 days worth of rental. I am appalled and will contest this bill. I have never received such shoddy treatment at a UHaul facility.
