When I originally called they were not clear about the pricing. I was told that it would be one price for anything over 100 miles and also that I would have the rental for 24 hours. When I got the call to confirm I was told there would be an additional charge for any mile over 100 and the rental was only for 12 hours. They extended it to the 24 but I was a little aggravated with the lack of knowledge. I was told that I would be receiving a complementary dolly for my issues and then It was never put in the van. He said "well I didn't charge you for it". Yes but I never received it either. The paper that they give you that explains how much gas you have to put in for it to be back where you started was also wrong. The paper said 5.5 gallons would bring it back to where I took it but it took almost double that. Just not helpful when planning out how much the rental would cost in total. I like to know ahead of time what I will be spending. Other than that the Van was brand new and was easy to drive. Checking out the van was a long process because either the computer wasn't working or the cashier didn't know how to use it, but returning the van was easy with the ipads they have now.

Better directions on where to go when you pull in. There’s two lanes, but ones full with vans but only two customers there so how is it there needs to be 6 vans parked in the way. Was told to return at 6, they were closed, someone was just walking out to leave and directed me where to go. Was very abrupt, told me to park in one spot, started then changed his mind. Had me back trailer all the way in back corner, and then trailer wouldn’t release from hitch so had to move it again. Finally got it off, and was told they’d check in tomorrow morning, and walked away. At this point I now can’t back out because the trailers blocking me, and there’s many cones in the front of me. So i has to get out and move the cones while he abruptly leaves to go home. I had been in the process of the online check in when he rudely showed up outside, yelling park it here, no here, no here, wait just back it all the way up here. Check out was a mess, tried finding a space to pull in and couldn’t really go anywhere. Tried going inside to check out trailer and then guy comes in and says “ma’am that trucks gotta move, it can’t sit there,” and walks away. However, I’m being blocked by the vans so I have no where to go and then I finally squeeze my truck between barriers and vans with oncoming lot traffic coming towards me. The only one who was pleasant to deal with was the gentleman that checked me out, all his other workers did not care who they spoke to and in what manner.

The staff, including the owner were very discourteous, unfriendly and acted as though they could care less about customer satisfaction. No greetings, “how may I help you”, no “thanks for your business”, etc. I also thought that when making the reservation that, dialing the local number, I would be talking to a local rep, but was apparently put through to a call center. They were efficient, but I was a little surprised. I think that the caller should be alerted of this up front.

I reserved online, quick and easy process & pick up was smooth, associate was very professional and kind. The vehicle was clean. It ran fine but did have a check engine light and warning for services displayed.Drop off was just as easy.

My online reservation could have gone better. My pick up location changed but was in the same town (New Windsor). When a person called to confirm the reservation they said they were from U-Haul Moving and Storage of New Windsor I didn't recognize the change and went to the original location on the day of the pick up. The person there was helpful and straightened things out. It would have been better if there person calling would have said a change had been made. Also the pictures sent to my phone to identify damage was of a different truck from the one I rented. I had to go over my truck with the sales person and note the existing damage.

The location I went to was great very helpful and knowledgable. Everything else about the experience was absolutely terrible. The app was not working customer support sent me through 6 people before finally asking me to drive to a different location to get a vehicle I spent an hour and half on the phone and with your customer support number and over 45minutes of that was hold. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Horrible.

I needed assistance with the electrical component to my towing kit. the service staff at this location had no Idea or advice on how to install the tow kit and package. this seems like it should be pretty basic information, and training. especially when I find advice on the internet and youtube that is actually sponsored by U-haul.

The mobile app saved me very little time. Still had to go to desk and do old fashioned contract. Truck was OK but not the best shape. I may try someone else next time...

Everyone was courteous and very polite. This is my definitive U Haul rental location. EXCELLENT!!
