I originally booked the reservation to pick up the truck at nailed it in Washingtonville, and was informed the evening before that the truck would not be there and had to go to New Windsor, which added an additional 20 miles to my overall trip.Jon S.

The truck that we received had 2 bad rear tires. The morning of our move the tire was almost flat and we had to go to a uhaul to have it filled. This was in addition to the flat tire on the auto trailer that we received at another location as it wasn't available for us to pick up at the same location so we had to drive 2 hours to pick that up. We ended up having to stop at a 3rd uhaul in NJ on our way south because the tire kept losing air. Thankfully we did this and they checked all the tires on both the truck as well as the auto trailer and they had to replace both rear driver side tires because they were so bad. The professionalism at the NJ uhaul by Michael and Rudy and the team was incredible and we cannot thank them enough for caring and taking care of us. The thought of both tires blowing on the same side with a trailer on the back is very scarey to think about and the fact that this equipment was rented without any care is disheartening. In addition to these issues we were so behind schedule and were unable to make it to our planned destination therefore losing our refund at the hotel reservation we had made as we were unable to make it there after so many issues with the rental equipment. We ended up having to pay more by getting another hotel closer and not being refunded by our original reservation even after trying to explain the reason we needed to cancel.Alejandro S.

The on line ordering was not working well with the locations computer. Also, Had to rent a truck to haul the u box as my car was sitting too low to haul it. Had trouble placing an online order for the truck and ended up having to have the worker put it in the computer.PAMELA P.

The manager was extremely rude and seemed like me she did not care about the issues I had. They did not have the truck I reserved and pretty much told me it wasn't there problem. I ended up renting a truck that made my move so much more difficult. I had asked the workers if they could help me and call another uhaul to see if there was a larger truck available nearby and the response I got was â€œif we sit here and call for you how can we do our jobâ€. Me and my wife were shocked at the lack of help and the amount of rude comments.Nicholas C.

I Was dissatisfied because we asked for an extension on Sunday for an extra 4 days and an employee said we can have it until Friday for 20,00 $a day. Come to know he didn't do his job properly and didn't document the transaction. We were told to bring back the truck and on top of his error we were charged an additional 50 for not doing his job correctly.Gustavo R.

The truck smelled of body odor, made for an unpleasant experience over all. Your electronic media stinks, badly. Sign up did not work, despite over an hour starting and restarting page. The app at your location for returning the truck was even worse, spent over an hour sitting in truck trying to get it to work and finally gave up. If the location had charged me the 20 $penalty that was threatened (how utterly vile of you, I'm DONE with U'haul after 40 years over this) I would have complained to my credit card company about fraud.JEFFREY A E.

Customer service was outstanding!! They were extremely courteous and helpful to me. However when I was leaving I noticed a foot long scratch on my door. No one admitted to it and then I basically just had to deal with it. Other than that and that everything was great! Accidents happen. Just wish they were more careful because I just got this car brand new off the lot ðŸ˜©jackie W.
I originally asked for an enclosed trailer 5x8 a week before my reservation. For 6 days x 19 $. I was contacted several times about availability explaining that they would upgrade me if needed.never talked to the same person more than once. Finally got told there was a 6x12 available for the time I needed. Went to pick it up and was charged 187 $I did get the insurance for 11 $but math doesn't add up. I didn't say anything just moved along because I did need the trailer. After 2 days I get a call telling me I was supposed to return the trailer when I believed I paid for the 6 days. I obviously could not return it and explained that the seemed to be ok. So I returned the trailer the 5th and upon returning it I was charged an additional 130 $. So 19 $x6 plus 11 $plus tax, turned into 307 $somehow. I did not like the communication/money transactions. Make sure everything is explained clearly before handing over your card. Uhaul's website pages are not really the rates they charge.Robert R.

trailer hitch lock needed to be greased, The representative who I dealt with at the location was very unprofessional, I did my check in on line , but she asked me the same questions again, I paid for the blankets and she forgot to give them to me, then when I returned the trailer she only refunded 50 % of the blankets fee and only gave me the full refund when I asked for it, besides she took for ever to handle the check out process, she had a real bad attitude.Jaime G.

There needs to be a better understanding of what damage is done prior to the renters taking the vehicle to ensure that they are aware of the prior damage by the location personnel, the self pickup is great but to confirm the photos as accurate is a bit deceitful practice, please make the customer take photos prior to taking the vehicle off the property so if there is any prior damage to the vehicle it would be in pictures taken by the customer and not the employeesThomas K.
