The truck I received was a local truck. They truck was filthy and had cigarette ash all over the bench seat. I was scheduled to use this truck from 6/17 - 6/21/ 2022. The truck smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. There was roaches and other bugs in the cab. You could tell the truck has not been cleaned since it was dropped off at that location. Let's blame “Covid-19†right!? The smell was so bad I immediately took it back the next day. Never again will I use Uhaul. Penske from now on.

The check engine light was on as soon as I entered my driveway. Also, the truck was very delayed on shifting in between gears. I had a very light load in the truck, so the added weight should not have been an issue.

Bernadette S.Always easy service here but please work on space in the lot! Parking can be limited on busy days or if people are hanging around with their cars right by the drop off area its hard coming in with cars/trucks especially with the slop/curve entrance. Otherwise great, quick and easy!

steve M.On the day we picked up trailer the young girl with long red hair had a knee brace and was excellent. She was all alone and kept a very sweet smile on her face. Worked quickly but efficiently. Unlike the first young lady with dark brown hair that made our reservation that misspelled our name and never took our email. Our phone number also was incorrect.

Leonard L.If someone schedules a 9PM pick up, and it's obviously after hours the keys should be left. Also, the young lady behind the counter has no personality and could barely look up from her phone. The customer shouldn't have to sit around and wait, and then re arrange a move for the next day!! Half of your trucks are missing lug nuts. And each truck should start with a full tank to be returned that way. Finally, where is my $50 credit for reservation guarantee..that couldn't be applied to my initial payment?? Please have someone reach out to me. 845-784-2708

WILLIAMJ I.The van was fine but the overall contract when I returned it was so confusing!! Plus, before I took the van out for the rental period not one person walked me to see it or to give me a few instructions on how the van works, or how the various controls worked or anything inside the van!! Nothing! And then when i returned it, with more gas than I had gotten when I took it out the first day, there was NO credit for the extra gallons I put in. Plus, there were additional charges I hadn't expected. I'll tell you, if there was another rental company with moving vans in my area I would go there next time for certain!! Plus, the people behind the counter never smiled or had the patience to explain any details. They just said this is what you have to pay and that's that! Horrid. No one explains anything. Not a good day. Not a good experience!!

Sherrell C.I returned the truck after hours. I tried the uhaul.com/share link to avoid the $20 fee, but the link didn't work for me. I wasted 20 minutes trying to get it to work before giving up and dropping the keys in the box. If other customers are having the same issue, there may be a system problem or an easier way for customers to turn in vehicles after hours. Thanks! - Andrew C.

ALEXANDRA R.Everyone was nice but UHaul split my reservation wihtout notifying me and thus causing a 4+hr delay on my moving day which cascaded through my planned travel schedule for the next 3 days. UHaul also changed my return date to one day earlier without notifying me and charged me for the "overage". Additionally, I received phone calls from several people all asking the same questions and they all stated they did not know that someone else called me. There are some incredibly obvious and frustrating logistics gaps in UHaul's communications systems. There are many other truck rental companies available and I will not be using UHaul for any of my rental needs in the future.
