The truck was beaten to with in an inch of its life. The trucks brakes were dangerous and the transmission struggled to find fourth gear. Also, at 6pm the night before our out of state move, we found out that our truck was no longer available when or where we reserved it. We found out that we needed to travel 45 minutes extra to pick up the truck and it wouldn't be ready until an hour and a half later than we originally reserved it. This is unacceptable when the customer has a signed contract stating that the vehicle will be ready.JONATHAN P.

Website wouldn't let me complete mobile check in. Staff was super helpful in manually doing it and switching to a vehicle up front. Again the web wouldn't let me complete the mobile drop off after hours. The website really needs an upgrade. I rent at least once a month and never had these sort of problems until recentlyAndrew P.

I reserved a 20 foot truck in advance and went to pick up truck they didn't any 20 foot trucks available. I had to rent two 10 foot trucks. This cost me much $$$. I heard this is the norm at this account.SHAWN S.

I'm still waiting for an invoice emailed to me on. The associate told me that he would email the invoice once the truck was checked back in but he has yet to complete the process. I'm not sure why I was changed online as well as in store when I went to pick up the truck. The associate was unclear as to why also.Dhaval P.

I vacated U-haul space on September 25 and followed staff instructions. They didn't close my contract and I called customer care multiple times and went again to storage unit. we used only 11 miles to transport gifts to a location 1/2 mile away and was charged over 70 miles!! When we dropped off the uhaul the guy didnt even give us a receipt just said it would be emailed...i got the email a few days later to find out they charged me for 70 miles!! I am on phone for over 1/2 hour now to fight charges! Make sure you take pictures of everything before they rip you off too!JOSEPH C.

My overall experience was horrible. The original location I rented from didn't have the truck when I showed up to get it. It was supposed to be a mobile pick up but they didn't set it up. Chat support was you helpful. I waited on hold for a customer service rep for 25 minutes. It was terrible. A disaster. The rep was helpful when she finally answered and switched my reservation to this location, and they had a van for me. That part was good, but the rest was TERRIBLE and extremely frustrating. Inform them if something they ordered was not going to be available. I reserved moving blankets and wasn't informed they were not available until I was there to pick up the truck. This definitely caused a problem for me. I would have tried to bring my own blankets if I only knew. I wasn't able to go all the way back home to get anything as I was under a time crunch to get to my location. This was a major disappointment.Patricia B.
Truck did not have dolly that I ordered. App didn't work initially for pickup, and access via web was super slow. Tried calling U-Haul and waited on hold for a while, then it just hung up on me. My truck was not available and never got a notification that you moved my reservation to another location. Once I arrived to the place that I had the reservation they notified me that they moved my reservation to a place far away and that even they also didn't have the truck I reserved. So I got what the had available at the location, the truck had several damages which I reported through the app as well as half gas tank that I did report at the beginning and at the end they charged me for the gas that the truck didn't have since the beginning.JOSE Q.

Staff was not very personable but process was easy. Unrelated to this location but the fact we were promised an auto transport and were unable to get it despite ordering well in advance is an indicator of the poor management of supplies and services by UHaul. I'm just extremely disappointed that I showed up to the pick up location in New Brunswick only to wait outside for an hour due to the customer service rep being late. Although I was refunded an amount, I still lost an hour of my move, and my pregnant wife and I were sitting in our car in 90 degree weather waiting to get our UHAUL truck.Paul B.
Next time customer is referred to another location for pickup, that site (first location) should call that site (second location) to find out if they're open on Sunday. Second location ended up referring me to third location.PATRICIA L.

I had no issues with this location. I booked on line to pick up at the location near Promanade blvd on RT 1. When I went there the employee there said he had no reservation fir me though I went there personally and confirmed 3 days prior. Then a person at Deans lane location tried to help me. Even there I had trouble as the van was not returned in time. Finally I had to rent it from Haws location at Newbrunswick. The employees at All three locations said not to depend on UHAUL.com and instead book at the specific location. Good lesson learnt after a lot of trouble.MURALI U.

The person at the counter was incredibly pleasant and helpful, but I reserved a drive-up 5x5 unit online more than a month before move-in, and when I arrived I was not given a 5x5 drive-up, but a 5x10 down a long hallway, where I had to carry heavy boxes.
