Everything was good with the rental but I did have to wait 15 minutes for the attendant to hook up the trailer despite having done express checkin before arriving. On return I also had to wait for an attendant that never showed so I had to disconnected the trailer myself.

Its unbelievable but true, a simple pickup or dropping off a utility dolly takes at least 30 minutes each. This is the time it takes when you're the only customer at the counter. I would think twice to go back to here again.

not for the locations of pick up or drop off, but a nod to the road side assistance team! EXCELLENT work. above and beyond. The vendor told an eta of 2 hrs and at the 110 min mark i had to talk my wife down from calling. I said at least wait until after the 2 hours. but at the 2 hour mark Dave from UHaul roadside called us back to check if the help had arrived then he reached out and updated us 30 more minutes. this happened again and updated 30 more minutes and finally the help arrived who had not been dispatched to us but a mere 45 minutes prior to his arrival... so the issues were not in UHaul's hands. But i was very pleased with the service and care UHaul provided us

The person doing my contract was very slow and acted like she didn’t want to be there, and person hooking up the equipment was very rude and unprofessional and also did not hook up equipment up right I had to pull over and tighten up the coupler on equipment .

You should have one line devoted to customers who reserve and pre-check online. We do not expect to wait in line 45 minutes. Then I had to fill the gas a quarter of a tank more because it was not full when given to me. Each time I’ve gone to this U-Haul I’ve stood in line fir 45-60 minutes. Streamline, UHaul

Poor management of the location. Poor customer support on the return side. There was only one person on return on busy Saturday and stayed in line for 30 minutes for a simple return. Management need to realize Saturday would need more resources than normal day.

We made a reservation one week in advance for a 27’ truck. I even confirmed it the day before pick up. We knew from experience s walk in wouldn’t be a good idea so we made s reservation. Obviously we needed the truck or we wouldn’t have been there. When I went to pick it up, there was no truck for me. Even though I had s reservation, one was never assigned to us! So, after quite a bit of work, the very nice lady helping me found me a 20’ truck. Smaller than I needed but the only thing she could do. The lady helping me was very nice and did her best. But, overall I am not happy.

When I called to change my reservation, I was told that someone would call me back because they were too busy to talk to me. I attempted to call on 4 separate occasion throughout the day and was on eternal hold. (at least 12 minutes each time) I never received a call back from anyone. Once I was back in my office I was able to go online to change my reservation. Disappointed with my experience due to a lack of follow up. The north Texas area (Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Allen) is booming. You need to hire more people to handle the business and protect your reputation!

I was a great uhual fan but the experience I got this time made me completely negative about renting a uhual . I had made a appointment for the pick up truck on May 29th. Due to the weather it prevented me in picking it up. So I wanted until 6:30pm that evening and I received no calls/made calls to the store and no answer. I drove to the Facility and business was back up. I assume that when I left early in the day someone knew that I was there to rent and when the system became available I should of have received a call. I was able to rent the pick up. During the drop I indicated the customer service man that I would like to pay cash for my bill and he recorded the mileage and condition of the equipment and radioed the front desk that I was coming into the store. After giving the lady my paperwork she ask me did I rent the equipment here. And my reply was yes and she couldn’t find my account. At that point I was frustrated and she didn’t know how to accept cash payment. So, I was forced to pay my bill on my credit card versus paying $. I will continue using the store but the staff has to be competent in helping customers. I am done

Memorial Day weekend and very crowded at pick up. The truck assigned to me was not available. Donna worked very hard to get me on my way. I left with no contract in hand but promise of emailed contract. Trip went fine and dropped off at destination. UHAUL worked diligently to resilve problems. First problems I have ever had with UHAUL. I understand bad days and UHAUL overcame difficulties.

I rented a 15” for moving. The ramp was stuck and did not come all the way out because of this loading and unloading was terribly difficult and dropped my refrigerator and damaged it. This was terribly a bad experience renting the truck from uhaul.

First truck’s ramp gave us a hard time when closing and we lost time during moving with hired movers. However the location manager quickly replaced with another one and handled the whole thing very professionally. We appreciate very much.

How about washing the vehicle? The truck is cleaner when I returned it then when i received the vehicle. I had an appointment for a reason. After cleaning the windshield myself, I noticed the vehicle had a rock chip and immediately informed the drop off location so I wouldn’t get charged. Also, the mileage was incorrect at inception. Small attention to details goes along way in the service industry.

Question: was the equipment clean and well maintained does not give the option for the renter to say ok but not really well maintained either, or clean enough but truck maintenance maybe an issue. My husband was the driver. He said the steering was very loose and did not give a good feel for the road. We haven't rented a truck in several years so nothing recent to compare this experience to.

Ask people to move their car if they park in the wrong spot in the parking lot. Instead of calling the cops to ticket and tow you. Thankfully I caught them as they were going to make the call be the staff was very tense the rest of my time getting the trailer. Then I got double charged. My truck would not run after I filled it with gas. I sat and waited more than 45 minutes trying to start it. I called the number to get someone to help - they said it would be an hour - Not sure why but after 45 min I turned the key again and it started. I drove it back to the location and let them know what happened. Very frustrating.

The chart of how much gas was not able to be found anywhere. I used the 24/7 check in/out and couldn't find that chart on my e contract, website, or my personal page. I watched a lot of the videos and liked them. Could not find the tow/haul button/switch on my 26 ft truck - don't think it had one but that light was on.

If there are a million bugs splattered all over the windshield, clean them off before returning the van to the fleet. I was very happy I had taken out insurance on the van after seeing one of your employees literally toss a dollie into the back.

This was the easiest UHaul Rental EVER! I called the local UHaul facility and booked directly at the location. It was quick and easy! The morning of our rental, we were in and out in 20 minutes and that was with one customer ahead of us!

The guys who handle truck returns are rude, unfriendly and borderline hostile when interacting with customers! I recommend sending in a mystery shopper and read their reports yourself. The inside staff was quite different. Professional, friendly and polite to CUSTOMERS. I will never rent from this location again and will also share my experience with everyone I know!

Although this location was able to full fill my reservation it did end up costing me more. I had originally placed a reservation at the Alma Rd store it was then changed to another location due to Alma Rd not having a van. I was ok with a new location but the problem was when I arrived at new location at 7 am and tried to get the van the app told me I had to wait till 830 when the store opened. That didn't work for me I was never told of a time change. After calling around I found out the Kathryn location had a van. But this added several miles to my rental. Also alot of lost of time. It made for a very stressful and rushed day.

THIS location provided good service in a well maintained, albeit an aged trailer for me. As is typical for this location they did not know where the trailer was and I had to drive around a lot to find it, however after that was over the rest of the experience with the people at the store was flawless. However if you book labor help through the U-Haul site be careful. I booked Superior Moving Services (979) 221-1457 to help me on the pickup end in College Station Texas. Unlike the completely professional and on-time folks who I booked here in Frisco TX (Made E-Z Moving 817-909-7647 ...5 * !!!) the people at Superior never showed up, never returned any of my 5 phone calls, and never returned any of my 9 text messages. all this after he (Byron) CONFIRMED with me the day before both on the phone and via text. I am physically disabled and cannot move more than a few pounds on my own and counted on these people to load furniture for me. Needless to say this caused a huge stress reaction as I had to be back in Frisco by 5 PM to meet the other movers. I ended up having to pay double the going rate to get other people on short notice and could not be any more unhappy than I am right now. What U-Haul needs to fix right now is that you cannot rate the moving help who did not collect your money based on the payment code that they email you. So if someone screws you over and does not show up you cannot rate them on the U-Haul site. This needs to be corrected ASAP so that the bad actors stop getting jobs in only show up to those that are convenient for them.

You processes are very outdated. Online checkin was extremely difficult. You need an app. Every time I deal with you it’s like dealing with the post office. Join 2019 - make checking in and out easier. Develop a new computer system. Staff is friendly but not in a hurry. Most people are moving and stressed out. You make me more stressed.

The truck cargo area was so muddy!! Sides and rails were covered in dirt. I rented this truck to move furniture and the condition was unacceptable. Unfortunately I didn’t check the truck when I rented it and then it was too late to come back to get a different one. Just to clarify, this was a 15’ moving truck, not a flatbed.

It starts with when my wife and I pick up the truck around 1pm on 05/11/19. They seemed to have some computer issues and had difficulty finding our reservation, they’re thankfully able to give us the 26’ truck, but it only has a 1/4 tank of gas.. Okay, whatever, we dealt with it. The truck ran smooth, the dolly was helpful. We turn the truck and the keys to the drop box in well before the 1 pm deadline (between 12-1 am on 05/12/19) and later that day noticed that we had not received a receipt. I call, what I thought was the location, and I’m told by a csr that the branch will calls us after we get push back by the csr rep for not using the app to turn in the truck... We were NEVER told this by the store rep when we initially rented the truck. The branch calls my wife (her numbers the primary on the reservation) and tells us it has been checked in and when my wife asks when it was checked and if we were going to charge us for an additional day due to them not informing us of the app, the store rep says no they won’t be charging us anything additionally, and they’ll be sending the receipt to her email. A little less than a hour later, my wife checks the bank account and notices a charge for $61.34 from Uhaul. We call and they play stupid saying the only transaction they see is for $90.48, and proceeds to have an attitude.. My wife tells her she is going to come down to the branch to show them. Before she gets there, she contacts our bank and they tell her the transaction time is from around the time I had initially called for a receipt and spoke to the first CSR rep. The bank is more than happy to remove the hold, but they need information from the branch about the transaction. Once my wife gets there the branch rep doesn’t know what’s going on and then it dawns on the rep that when SHE (the rep) personally checked in the truck just a bit earlier ( when we called the CSR and the CSR called them they realized they missed the truck when turning in all the trucks from over night) and that the difference between all the amounts is what they would have billed us for turning the truck in late. The rep at the store was rude and rolling their eyes, stating that we’re not actually going to be charged for that amount and that the transaction will fall off and the she told my wife to call 1800GoUhaul. When she asks for the manager, Rob was genuinely nice and attempted to assist after realizing what was actually going on. Conveniently the charges are done in a way where the amounts (64.24 is what they saw) and the authorization codes aren’t adding up so we couldn’t get the authorization code for the bank to remove the pending amount. The manager said a 1800GoUhaul CSR may have more access to all the transaction details. Once my wife gets home she calls the number given to her, where she is transferred by a reservations rep to a customer service rep who we are told they will ‘advocate’ for us... My wife explains everything to the CSR and is pretty much automati

Everything was fine until I turned in the U-Haul truck and got a phone call from an Anna at 9AM this morning saying they couldn't find my key in the night drop box. (Keep in mind I live 20-30 minutes away from this U-Haul location) I advise them that I put the key in the night drop box and to check their security cameras and they insist they cannot find it, I tell them okay i'll come up there and help ya'll look for it. After driving there, completely out of the way - and on MOTHER'S DAY - I help them look and it indeed is lost, after speaking to Anna and telling her I will not be paying $100 for a key that they lost, and advising them to look at the cameras and it will show me putting the key in the drop box, she advised me I would need to call back tomorrow and speak to the GM. Fuming at this point I go back out and look some more, after 5-10 minutes of looking, a U-Haul employee walks up with 3 "missing" keys that someone misplaced, 1 of them being my key. I give the key to Anna and the only thing she does is give it to someone so they can "check it in", I got no apology or compensation for wasting my time and gas due to your employees incompetence on Mother's day and will not be returning to this location, instead I get a text alert letting me know how quick they were to get their money from Capital One. I expect U-Haul to reach out to me to make this situation right.

A staff member at the location couldn't answer a simple question related to using the North Texas Tollway system. My question was about the way the tolls would be billed to me if I used the tollway. Would NTTA bill U-Haul and then U-Haul would bill me for the use of the tollway. The staff member sent me to your 800 customer service department, which is a whole other story. I was on hold 3 different times for over 30 minutes each time and was never able to get a live customer service rep to answer my questions. I called the location where I rented the truck and twice I was transferred to the 800 customer service line. I finally called the U-Haul location on Plano Parkway in Plano, TX and the staff member that answered the phone gave me an answer to my question in less than 15 seconds. Your customer service response time that I experienced was terrible at best.

I travelled 23 miles and they charged me 56 dollars for gas. Not reasonable particularly as it stated 4 per gallon in contract. There is no way I used 14 gallons for 23 miles. Management did not return my call. The tank was 7/8 full when I picked up. I returned just under that mark. It was after hour return. I use uhaul a lot and have never had this issue before.

The survey needs to address the rental experience, not just the locations. I have rented numerous U-hauls over the years and usually have very good customer service. This time, I showed up at my original rental location, from a reservation made 3 days prior, to find they did not have any trailers. And they had issues finding another, so I looked it up online myself and told them where to look. My biggest issue is that no one called me prior to my arrival - what good is a reservation if the rental location is not prepared to fulfill the reservation? The first location apologized, but offered nothing else. Again, no one called, no one offered a discount for my troubles, nothing. I would say that next time I would rent from someone else, but unfortunately, there are very limited options. So hopefully the next time will be better.

I am not thrilled with the online reservation and pick up service. It requires too much documentation and I had to redo the license and passport pictures a couple of times. Also, my truck was parked between 2 other truck and they were very close together. I told a worker that I would be able to pull out because the mirrors were too close. He folded back the mirror other trucks mirror on the right and partially folded my passenger side mirror which made it difficult to see out of. Partially backed up I had to fold the drivers mirror so I could move over to finish backing out. There were no other trucks parked by those three and they were ways to close together. I couldn't walk down either side to get in the cab and had to walk around the front to get in.

Everyone was so rude and unhappy. This was my first time to rent a trailer and everyone had no patience for me. I didn't have the right connector for the trailer and instead of informing me that it was available for purchase inside they let me drive off to Walmart and buy one. It's just a shame that everyone here couldn't be just a little more helpful or even try to care. I own my own business and I KNOW that this isn't the way my employees should be. Last time I'll be using uhaul. Home Depot or Lowe's also have the same equipment at the same price without the attitude. Please do some customer service auditing. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Prior to dropping off here. I called the local number to make sure I had the right drop off location and just in case. Arrange to drop off here, because I was interested in using their storage facilities for about 3 months. Even though the store opens at 7AM I never got through to the store location. The national service line would answer. The lady on the phone was very rude, and kept cutting me off and talking over me not letting me finished my questions. And never answered my questions or gave me the chance to finish my questions. Called back later and got the same lady who did the exact same thing. I wanted to inquire about using their storage, she kept talking over me and never gave me the chance. Maddening and frustratingly bad customer service. This drop off location lost at least 3 months of 15' storage sales because of this person and bad experience. I went to your competitor instead. A shame, because you had my business and threw it away. Leaving me with nothing but a negative UHaul experience. I have dropped off here before and was impressed in the past. This time, no one was able to greet me at the pull in area. I went inside and waited 15 min in line only to be turned away and told that I needed to check in outside where no one was at. The reception lady was courteous and helpful. But the store manager sitting right next to her must have been having a bad day. He heard my conversation with her and didn't offer a word and walked away. I was escorted to a check in person, who was friendly and efficient. We disagreed on gas. I was prepared to pull out my gas receipt and more importantly the checkout paper clearly indicating my departure gas level. I had put in a couple of gallons over my departure mark. To his credit the service guy quickly took off the extra charge and provided great customer service.

I like this location and everyone seems to be helpful. My only complaint is that it seems like half the times I've been there, there's only one person working the front desk. Maybe it's just me having bad timing but most other U-Haul dealers I've visited in the past always had at least a couple people handling the customers. With just one person up front, no matter how good they are, you will quickly have a bottleneck when other customers come in because most U-Haul transactions take some time.

I personaly think it should be considered illegal to advertise a price that the costumer will never pay. It is definitely not good business to rely on costumers lack of attention, or even worse to deceive them to believe they are going to pay only $19/day for the rental. There is a very fine line that separates an omission from a lie, U-Hal stretches that bordaer way to far. This is not a good business model nor a smart market strategy, it is called opportunism. U-Hal exploits people’s busy life and by undervaluing their time advertise a unrealistic price do bring them to u-Hal stores, and only then uncover some of the hidden costs. If it wasn’t enough when the costumer return the rental he is surprised with more unexpected charges. This is so wrong. If U-Hal wanted to base its business on honesty and respect to its costumers, it would itemize all the other costs together and on the same size as the $19 on all the trucks.

Truck was clean, both in the cab and in the cargo space. No complaints with that. Driving on the other hand...truck was very rough. The truck was very hard on even the smallest bumps. At times on the highway it felt like we were driving over speed bumps very 3 feet. Thankfully nothing was shaken or broken during the move. Maybe this is how it normally is, I’ve driven many trucks of this size and never had that issue before. Recommend a manager hops in and take it for a test drive.

The person who rung me up Bryan Braddy was less than informative or helpful. When I asked how much a storage container was he just said “they behind you”. He also offered very little assistance when my card wS declined for some reason. I put another card in the machine and immediately got a text that my original card had been charged. He just gave me the phone number to credit card processing to have the charge removed. It was not until I returned the truck that I was told that is just a card that is kept on file. I had to remind the gentleman that I needed a furniture dolly when he pulled the truck around. All and all I won’t use uhaul again. I have used other companies and have gotten far superior service. It is competitive out there, I shop based on service level.

I originally scheduled my pick up location a lot closer to my apartment but when I got their my reservation was moved to a different location with notifying me. I get there about 15 minutes before my reservation time and have to wait in line bc of a mishandling of vehicles by the employees. The lady behind the counter was ungodly rude to the customer in front of me as well me. Answered all the phone calls completely unprofessional, it even shocked her co workers how she was answering the phone, “can you hold”. So after adding more miles to my commute without notifying me, I had to rush to get everything moved and cost me more money since I was being charged per mile. Then upon returning the shop wanted to charge me a $25 clean up fee since the pads weren’t folded. Just ridiculous. I want a refund for having to spend more money than planned, and the terrible experience from the get go. Im very disappointed in the size ratings for the trailers. I needed to fit a 44" wide dresser and rented a 4ft×7ft trailer, thinking I had 2" to spare on each side. This was not the case as I found out the trailer is really only a few inches more than 3 ft. We hauled the dresser standing upright and made it work, would have been much easier to lay on its back as I had planned......not happy with the posted measurements.
