I used the 24/7 service to retrieve the rental truck. Apparently the unit was reserved to two customers This became clear as another customer showed me his app that also showed the same vehicle number. This is a defect in the app that needs to be fixed. My experience was good, but his sucked! Also, the counter was under staffed and the line was long.

This location is very good, and U-Haul customer service on the phone is helpful — when you can get through. Long wait times on hold put a dent in anyone's enthusiasm for otherwise good service.

My only complaint is that it is moving season and its obviously a very busy time and there were only 2 associates working, and while they were doing their best to keep up, they were a bit underwater with how many customers were checking in and/or dropping off equipment. Took about 35 mins from time I arrived to the time i drove off with my uhual.

Original location booked did not have the truck on hand when we arrived so had to travel to this new location a short distance away. Would be better to know this ahead of time instead of getting to the original location, waiting for them to open, and then be told the rental I had reserved is not available or on site.

I went into uncontrollably episodes of trying to suppress my urge to vomit. The truck smelled of tobacco and cannibus. It was a very offensive order it made me sick to my stomach. The smell is embedded in the carpet and on turning on the air -conditioner it became nauseating.

The gentlemen at the counter that processed us was good. The kid that hooked up our trailer put in the wrong items, 2 bags of blankets instead of what was supposed to be 1 bag and a dolly. Glad I checked before pulling out. Another guy that put the dolly in gave me a good tip on how to use the latch properly.

Entire process absolutely terrible. Staff at hamilton and main locations rude. Reservations not guaranteed twice! I only used truck for a day but charged for two. Online pick up and drop off is a joke. System inefficient. Very poor customer service. Will never use uhaul again.

The personnel did not complete the return process. I chose to have an email versus a paper receipt. However six days after I turned in the trailer U-Haul texted and emailed me that I was late getting the trailer turned in. When I called the number on my text, the office staff was very helpful to get it resolved.

Contract 22635393 ... Pickup location was nice and workers OK, although not very interactive with the customers. Picked up 5'x8' trailer. Assumed worker put pads in back, but they didn't. I should have checked. However, when I did open the back, there was a broken wooden rail and a bag of wet garbage, both on the floor. Clearly had not been checked over after the previous customer had returned it. Not very professional, and not what I would have expected of a national company like U-Haul.

The only thing is I was charged for a return to same location. I asked to do a one way and they didn't change it , so I was charged more when I dropped it off at one way location. So I'm not happy with my services from uhaul.

I did the 24/7 drop off after closing. Wasn't sure if I should have left the trailer at the tent or placed in a parking stall. Rated average because it started raining but the location itself looked nice just got wet trying to drop it off.

The 17’ truck we received was supposed to have 3/4 tank of gas. We picked it up and it did not have the 3/4 tank but we still had to refuel to that point. When questioned on it they stated “you’re supposed to let us know then” and did not reimburse us for the extra cost. They were dishonest and did not care about customer service.

Truck had problems. I couldn't get it to start after I got to my moving destination, couldn't get it started after I stopped to get gas. Had to call roadside assistance just for them to show up and fire it up because it had cooled down. Something to do with a switch. Very frustrating and a waste of my time.

The 17’ U-haul van that I rented had a broken passenger side mirror. I was extremely disappointed that IU-haul would let a customer drive this van in that condition. It could have caused an serious accident. When I returned the van the Assistant Manager made it right. But I still don’t understand why U-haul would let a customer drive this van in that condition.

Have a full-time hitch operator because when we were leaving, the left turn signal wouldn’t work. Arriving at the Fifth Ave location, we were told that we would have to wait until noon for the operator was part-time. Several workers did attempt to solve the problem but to no avail. They offered to switch trailers but to unpack & repack was not an option. We went to the Georgesville Rd location which had a full time hitch operator who solved the problem: FUSE REPLACEMENT WE GOT ON ROAD @ 10:30 am.

I was disappointed in being billed for cleaning needed when I returned the unit exactly as I recieved it. The only thing I used it for was to move a couple beds and a couple leather couches. No debris was provoked by anything I hauled in the unit.

The rental was returned on Easter. The online return was easy to deal with but in getting an invoice a charge was there for damage to a front bumper. The repair charges were later dismissed but the rental location in Charleston said the previous damage had been recorded and there would be no problem.

The after hours return was a bit confusing. The app didn’t explain where to really park the uhaul, and the drop box for this location was nowhere close to what the website said, and the site wouldn’t take my payment. Otherwise, good vehicle and lots of extra options to buy at the location.
