DONALD JContract said there was 3/4 tank of gas. When I was given the truck, it had 5/8 tank. Reported it to the person that gave me the truck. He took picture of gauge and said it would be corrected. After returning truck with more fuel than was in it, I was charged for 4 gallons of fuel. Luckily I had pics of gauge at pick up. Always take pics, don't trust them. They say they will refund my credit card. But of course it'll take most of a week to do so. Why can't they rent them full of gas and require it to be full on return. Take the guess work out.
PHILIP SI was given a hard time by one staff member , I tried to keep explaining the situation of coming in to ask when my vehicle was due for return and that another static member told me it was 7pm the following day so I had already been charged. I returned the next day and was told it was due at 5:30pm like I had expected before and why I asked the previous day. She charged me another day and demanded the vehicle back so I was charged another additional day without being able to use the vehicle. The manager was also hostile

KATHERINE KRented a trailer and the floor was filthy and the unit smelled of petrol. We cleaned it as best we could but ultimately returned the trailer and just got a moving truck (at 5x the cost). I was a little surprised that no one tried to make that right but my hunch is that UHaul frowns on this.

EDDIE VI always rent my moving trucks/vans from this location because the people working there are always so nice and helpful and go above and beyond! But this last time I went the truck we rented the brakes didn't sound great when stopped and we didn't notice until we were on the road already at a light and it was concerning. It got the job done for the few hours we needed it but that would be the only thing is the maintenance of the vehicles was a bit concerning. Other than that, we love going to this location!

Colorado Blvd location where I had a reservation, only to find out that the system at that location (a gas station) was down. The attendant didn't know what to do. He called the main UHaul number and got a voice mail message. Luckily, I had been given the UHaul scheduling number by a rep several days earlier when I had been trying unsuccessfully to finalize a correct reservation. (The whole rental process was horrible! Inconsistent information, many texts and e-mails with conflicting information, staff telling me info that was incorrect, spelling errors in my name, double reservations, etc.! ) When I called the scheduling number (that the 3400 N. Colorado Boulevard staff didn't have), I was finally referred to the 4800 Colorado Boulevard facility - an actual UHaul rental location), staff and service were excellent. However, when I was charged, several additional taxes were added on that the reps I'd spoken to on the phone several times the previous week never mentioned and, in fact, told me there were no additional charges other than those they quoted me, which turned out to be about $20 less than I was charged. I doubt I will ever use UHaul again. Your on line systems are terrible!

I had 1 item to move. The girl with braids didn't go over vehicle damages or maintenance at all just handed me the key. Their vehicles are poorly maintained.

The roadside assistance guy was great, but it's irresponsible to rent out U-Hauls with such poorly maintained parts. I luckily broke down at a busy gas station while still in Colorado, but I was driving to Wyoming, which is cold and rural and often doesn't have phone service.

Extremely rude when I explained I was 100 % certain I had returned items. "We have footage and can prove you didn't return them". I explained of course that's wonderful because i wasn't trying to argue and just wanted the issue resolved. Manager came on 5 minutes later and said "we found them and are refunding the charge". Mistakes happen, and honestly I'm not mad about the charge, but if you have video just review it during a customer dispute don't argue.

I have mobility issues. The girl I dealt with first when I asked for a unit in climate control with no stairs gave me a unit in back with a ladder. It was so difficult for me next payday switched. Prior to the switch two of the girls locked me out of my unit for a week saying I wasn't allowed to lounge in my unit. I hadn't even been in there 5 minutes had walked to the store and just returned to gather a project I was working on when they rode up on their scooters and said I had to leave and they were restricting my access. Couple hours later I try to return my project to find another lock on my unit. When I went to the office to request entry was told 30 min 2 times a day was all I was allowed and they would be right with me. I waited 30 min. Had another place I had to be so I left. My medical condition left me I'll a couple days when I returned for access was accused of trying to cut the locks.

TERRI PMy only reason for not recommending is the constant prescence of unhoused folks who make the place their hangout. Clearly not all of them are dangerous, but I often felt worried about going there alone or leaving my vehicle in the back lot. Not a problem when the office is open, but after hours is a bit worrisome. Sorry, you clearly do a great job of maintaining the property. Wish it were different.

TIMOTHY SI was charged 400 for driving 48 miles. They do not check mileage they do not check the trucks. The alignment on the truck I rented was so bad I couldn't go over 40. I'm still waiting on my refund. Horrible experience the people who work there are young and unprofessional. They clearly do not want to do there job.

ANTHONY TI signed up online in hopes that everything would be done online and I was aware from what I read that the lock would be placed inside the unit. I couldn't even access my code to get inside the building unless I went into the office. It was easy after I did that. But it needs to be clear about the process so we all know where to go when we get there. The lady that helped me was very nice and helpful. I rate her a 10 stars for all her help and support.
Jenny M | Déménagement en ligneI was notified via email that the container arrived sooner than the latest "guaranteed date" of 8 days allowed for travel, so when I went to the destination/location in Iowa, they said the box was not ready for me to pick up (on a trailer) and asked me if I wanted it sooner than that original date. I said yes and that I was ready to pick it up (I drove 30 minutes to the location) but they told me I would need to give them 24 hours notice to have it ready. So, I had to drive back the next day, 24 hours later to pick it up. The online form did not give me any way to state that I would take delivery ASAP/sooner than the 8 days transit time allowance. The email I received only state to contact them if I needed help scheduling deliver. Since I was picking it up, I did not think I needed to need do anything other than show up to get the container.

I would like to see future facilities have lighting within units that do not have an open top, even if it's just a cheap little motion-sensor light. I've been storing my belongings at this location for two years now and I could not be happier with the service I've recieved. The entire team, from the janitors to the managers, deserve a raise for how they take care of their customers and your business.

The area was less inhabited and I had less interactions outside the facility that were concerning. I booked a reservation online with a human being the night before I reserved a 10 x 15 x 8 storage unit with climate control for $189. I gave my credit card info and was told I had a l reservation. When I got to the storage unit yesterday after packing for four hours and loading up the truck, I was told they did not have the unit that I reserved with my credit card. They had equivalent space into units that were directly facing each other on the second floor. That's not what I reserved and what I was looking for I ended up having to get one unit on the first floor and one unit on the second floor and ended up costing me now $225 a month instead of the 189 a month I was reserved at and locked in as far as I understood so to give you a review , my experience was far from great, more like frustrating, aggravating, disappointing, and seriously a bait and switch, just cost me 35 more dollars than I had budgeted, but hey long as I get to pay it who cares huh? so we're off to a great start OK and I clearing my review now. Can you stop texting me that be great

They definitely try to upkeep the facility to the best of their ability. Regardless of the challenging environment. The only thing I would say might need some improvement is the building's mechanical, ventilation, and plumbing systems. (Specifically the front sliding door, and back restroom are very frequently under maintenance likely due to some not so good previous customers.) However, given the age of that building's foundation it would be more difficult to complete major repairs than in a newer building. The one very crucial improvement is Max's security system for the building. For the most part the security system works well for secured access or alerting of intrusion. However, in case of a potential emergency the call button may not work.

The facility itself was well kept. The employees at the desk were very friendly. However, I was a little disconcerted when I went back to my assigned locker and there was a rodent trap box in the locker. I've never had an issue with rodents in a storage locker, but this made me think twice about it.

I wasn't able to get in the doors . Fortunately there happened to be a homeless person walking around inside and she let me in . But as a result of this im now having to pay extra days for a truck rental because I wasn't able to access my unit as planned the first night that I had time to do all my moving. It's just sucks

I RESERVED a unit with Street access when I made my reservation. I checked in on the day I stated I would. I held up my part of the contract, yet you did not. I think your leadership team should watch the episode of Seinfeld when he rents the car. It is exactly the experience I had. You can take a reservation, but you cannot hold a reservation, which is THE most important part of the reservation. My experience with u-haul has always been terrible. After I check out of this unit, I will never use your company again.

The first time was 6:40 pm and on that evening I called uhaul about it because there was 2 guys in there 60's unloading a huge sectional sofa and the woman locked the big door 20 minutes early The night that I moved all my stuff out they locked the big door ten minutes early 3- the evening I was getting my stuff out I told one of the workers that was working their that I was moving out and she said that she would check it the next day to make sure that I had it clean and if it was she would remove me from the unit. I never heard anything so I thought everything was good till I get a call saying that I owed money. So i told the woman that I had moved out almost a month ago and that I had tools someone that was working their that evening and it was all put that I moved out in February when it was the beginning of January 4- prices are way too high

They would not honor my existing reservation that included a free month with truck, and provided no tangible information about their "policy" that did not match up with the rental agreement I had already signed online. My online reservation had already assigned me a unit and I had completed the online move in process, but they insisted that I would have to create another reservation through them where I would be charged instead of receiving a free month. I will be cancelling the existing reservation altogether because after such a poor experience I do not trust this facility to safely store my belongings. Based on the terrible reviews online for this location, I don't understand how U haul is allowing them to still be operating. Terrible service and has now dampened my perception of the entire company.

I realize some people will throw stuff away that should not go in there, but need a place to throw away regular trash. 2. The alarms are annoying and too loud for people who are following the process. Either education people better or find a better way to alert staff. Even try to isolate the alarm to an area so not even one in the whole building hears it. I mean what are we going to do? The building is too large for us to even know where the issue is. 3. While the units felt secure, there were a number of times people just loitering around made the environment feel unsafe. Maybe consider a security guard. 4. Staff was very helpful both in getting the unit when the u-box was defected and also signing out. Overall a good experience but things can be done to both improve the experience using the units and securing the environment.

Emily R | Expérience généraleGood facility but no elevators for second level storage I didn't have a first level storage I had a second level storage and lifting the heavy stuff up the stairs was a bit of an issue there were no dollies available also could not find a bathroom in there store was neat and clean staff was there to help one questions were asked. Need more storage amenities in there the day I went Saturday was a pretty busy day and it was hard to get the flatbeds to move your stuff off the truck small wait a lot of sharing. Other than that good storage location easy to find I feel it's fairly new I don't remember that being there and affordable. I did have issues with the u-haul app when trying to check the truck in the app kept closing it wouldn't allow me to check the truck in or upload my pictures.

(I.e. a guy was in a truck driving in circles in the parking lot/loading dock and yelling at himself). Alarms would randomly go off as well??

Frank c | Expérience généraleI was moving all of my personal belongings into a storage unit. The original storage unit that I ordered online was shown to me when I arrived to look at it. It was an "example space" the rep told me. Then, a few minutes later a different representative came and took me to my actual space... which was WAY, WAY, WAY smaller than the size that they had showed me before. I asked why is this space much smaller? The rep said "Oh! You weren't looking at the arrows on the floor!" Nobody told me about any arrows on the floor in the example space I did not have very much time, because I was moving the very next day, and I had limited money... As my children and I would be homeless for the next three months, so of course I could not "ask for a larger space, for more money". The result?? I had to throw out 1/3 of my furniture that I had been collecting furniture for 30 years. I had to throw out my bigger furniture in order to fit into you guys as much smaller space. I did not have time to sell my furniture, instead. You guys did the old "Bait and Switch" on me. I'm going to make sure that the better Business bureau is contacted regarding this. I also lost all of my furniture, because apparently U-Haul doesn't care that and we were in the midst of a pandemic, and me and many other people lost every job they had. There were priceless items in that storage space my children's baby items, hundreds of books that I collected over the years, and I'm 49 years old I had journals back from the time I was 17 years old that were thrown out. I was glad that U-Haul kept my items as long as you guys did. My financial situation is slowly turning around, but right now, I can't afford to pay anything except my rent, which is exorbitant. Also, you U-Haul must hire better customer service people. The few I spoke with made it clear that I was not going to get anywhere with them, so I stopped answering when I did not recognize a phone number.

But then when I unlocked my new storage room, the alarm went off. It was annoying but I was glad the alarm didn't continue for more than a minute or so.

I was moving heavy, large items into storage like a washer and dryer and these items need an elevator to get up to the storage unit I initially rented. I had to change my rental and get charged MORE MONEY to get access to a SMALLER unit in the ground level. This is very upsetting and if I knew there was no elevator I'd have chosen another company or facility location all together. I feel taken advantage of and lied to.

It just sucked cuz I was told by customer service when I booked it that the price is the same no matter how long you rent a truck for, but then was told by another agent that I'd be charged for another day since I had it over 24 hours. I get it, but I was not informed about that and the info I was given by the first rep resulted in me feeling more relaxed enough to keep it out longer. So that was really frustrating, but not the fault of any employees at this location, it was the agent on the phone who made this experience not "excellent" but I didn't want that to reflect on the staff here cuz they were amazing and super helpful/friendly/knowledgeable.

I am glad I decided to run over a car full of our items and get the storage unit a week earlier than we are moving because it would have been awful if I had our family (that is helping us move next weekend) sitting around waiting through the mess that was getting our storage unit. They had trouble finding our reservation which wasn't a big deal but a little time consuming. Then when I went to the loading dock and unloaded I found out the unit they gave me had a lock on it. So, I had to reload my items into my car so I wouldn't leave my items unattended and then go to the office to get them to unlock it. There was another person there also waiting for them to unlock his unit as well. Why rent units that are locked? It all seemed super disorganized and like they were understaffed. Then when we opened my unit the alarm went off because they set me up with a pin but didn't tell me that I can only use one of the pin pads by the loading dock door so it wasn't working. After loading all of my stuff into the unit I went back to the office to sort out the pin issue and there was no one there so I stood around for about 10 minutes. I finally found the manager and he helped me. The whole process of dropping off my car load of stuff and getting our unit should have taken 30 minutes but it all took about 1,5+ hours. The staff was nice enough but they are a mess and need more staff. I would not recommend this storage facility.

I Give him⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. He fixed us getting our stuff in Storage. I spent over three hours,back and forth with Elisabeth. Not to mention She was no where to be found for at least ten minutes or so to fulfill her reservation that was made. She choose to Assist everything from from phone payments, digging in her nose with her finger directly in my face to wanting to Assist another customer behind me before finishing her contract obligations with me after accepting my money. She is a Insult to Customer Service as well as Hospitality Management. I'm not sure If I will deal with Uhaul anymore if She represents the Company and I would have no choice but to deal with her. She doesn't deserve one star let alone a job with Uhaul
