The location itself was fine. The truck was in good working order. The online check/in and check-out process is tedious and not quick. It took a long time yesterday morning for the order to process (though it said to wait a moment) while I was at the site. I had to wait outside and the site is in a bit of a sketchy area. I had someone threaten me. I'm not sure what can be done about that but it takes a long time and not an ideal experience.

Didn't have my reservation, didn't have the truck I reserved, ignition was broken had to jiggle the key and the steering wheel to get it to start. 3 people there at the same time had same issues with reserved trucks as far as reservations. The staff there blamed the main uhaul site for reservation issues. I will be renting from penske for now on

the people and facilitiy were graat! But your rules and policies stink! When i made a reservation i expected not only the price but the product to be reserved! in my case that meant a trailer 6x12 ‘! would be waiting for me in El cajon ca at 10:30 am on thecdaybodmf my reservation my. itv sounded like a bait and switch instead. My niece drove 350 miles to help me move bybtowing a trailer back to Phoenix. Have to drive that many miles I was not pleased to find out who did not have a trailer of the size I requested extend instead I was offered options one of those office would be a smaller trailer 658 I thought you say so he said I'm not big enough to haul very much of my stuff at all. To say I was frustrated because I had a reservation would be saving mildly. I was offered a smaller trailer or the option of taking a truck. The smaller trailer would not of held the amount of goods I was moving. The truck cost about twice as much as my trailer. it was explaining to me that the reservation was just a reservation for the price offered at the time. Thanks for the persistence of my niece and the cooperation OK man on the other end they were able to locate hey 6 x 12 Trailer and “La Jolla“ California but we had to drive there to get it. My niece went to the extra mile to rent a motel room in La Jolla so that she could get up and quickly get the trailer and bring it back to my place. It turns out the trailer was actually in point Loma California 15 minutes short of La Jolla. And by the way motels rent but cheaper.I believe you Oh my niece a reimbursement of her hotel expenses and at least 30 miles of driving and diesel used! I suspect you will receive that as much as I suspect your staff are trained to bump up people like me to a more expensive all ride. As I said before it felt like a bait and switch.

Lynn at the Point Loma, San Diego pickup location was very helpful/knowledgeable. I didn't catch the names of the employees in Tucson where I dropped off but they helped ease the drop off by making it really quick, efficient and easy.

You guess overcharged a full rental period and charged me double for moving blankets I never even opened. Then it took a full hour to get the app to work and 30 minutes on hold for an operator that never answered. Also, when I called to make the reservation I waited on hold for 23 minutes. When I was at the store I was quoted $5 for six blankets on the phone and I told the guy at the store I believe his name is James he said he corrected it and he didn't. I'm seriously considering going on Yelp with this unless you take off the Chargers for the blanket and the extra time. Because I called like I was told to and I was supposed to be no problem and it was and I got that thing back at 4 in the morning and nobody was there waiting to rent it and you said that was going to be the stipulation somebody was there to rent it that's one thing otherwise I wouldn't be charged

I was billed twice, The Point Loma location has made the contract with the wrong equipment number. 2 hours I left the location the Point Loma location called me advising they made the contract with the wrong equipemnt number and needed to redo the contract and asked for my payment information again. So this is why I beleave I was charged twice, as they was two contract number.

Thanks to UHaul for making this one of the easiest pick-up and returns I have had. Customer service was great. The one issue I had was with the online check-in process. The app for uploading my driver license would not work. When I arrived at the location to pick up the vehicle they were able to accomplish the task using their own app. But still I was in and out in record time. Nice job Uhaul.

Internet service was terrible - operator called to force me to cancel my move, falsely claiming no equipment was available. He failed to honor the $50 guarantee for company-side cancelations. A second call to customer service got me the truck I needed, but with considerable extra work and stress. Actual store employees were great, 5 stars for them and 0 for whoever tried to stop me from renting.

The guys at desk were very courteous. When we noticed a bad crack in windshield that could spider out over our >2000 mile drive, they quickly replaced our truck. The truck ran great giving us no problems. The only issue that could have really set back our time was that we noticed a padlock on the door for which we were not given the key. We lived 30 minutes away from that pickup location.

We had difficulty with the mobile check in process and despite the presence of two service agents who were sitting at their desks talking to each other they did not offer to help but instead kept telling us to turn on location service on our phones and that "new phone technology" can be hard to navigate.

I was quoted 19.99/day for the rental. I was charged 24.95/day. I had it for 2 days driving out of state and back. I returned it 2 hours past 12:30pm and was charged a 3rd day. I rent this trailer once a year for this trip and have never been charged a 3rd day (even when I returned it at 6pm once). I will be re-thinking about using this location again for my upcoming trips

This event related to picking up household items for my son, returning them to Denver, CO. It had to be as least expensive as possible. I looked on line for days to find what I could afford. I decided to drop the search, and go with a familiar name; U-HAUL. What a mistake! Once I arrived, I was met by the only one in the store; identifying why I was there. I was immediately questioned as to completing the process on their website. I told him no, getting a face/body language acknowledgement that I had not complied with his wishes. Then began the '20 questions'. Every question that he asked, I answered; "I did that on line." He told me to place my drivers license on top of a box that they had identified a special location for placement (COVID practice? OK). I said that I took a photo of the license and put this on line, as was required. He had to validate - which he should have done in the first place; again, with some contempt. Then! He asked, abruptly, who he could immediately contact that was a family member to validate this rental. No problem. I gave him a phone number, and indicated that my wife was there, giving him her name. He called once, then hung-up. He called back, hanging up again. He looked up at me and said, "That's a doctor's office!" (exclamation point intended). I told him that this is where my wife worked, and he said, "Then why didn't you tell me?" At this point he quickly rattled off a number of requests for my compliance; I ignored his obvious attitude. He then collected the rate fee - OUTRAGEOUS! He grabbed a key behind him, handed it to me, and told me to see a young man out in the yard. I went outside, wandering around, to find where I should be. Finally locating an employee, he asked for the key, opened the door, started the vehicle, said thanks and walked away. At this point I decided to check the vehicle for damages; finding none I jumped up into the cab. The front windows had been quickly wiped off; showing - still - an enormous amount of bugs, and smears. I checked everything out, and went to look for the employee to see if we could get the windshield clearer. I couldn't find him, and in an effort to get out of 'go home' traffic, I decided to leave. Abut 4 hours down the road, I came upon a gas station, and worked on the windows. I found that the majority of the smearing was on the inside. The vehicle was clean and operable. Needless to say, I will not attempt to do business with U-HAUL, again!

I included a dolly with my trailer reservation. When I got there, there was no dolly and the trailer was slightly smaller than advertised (critical difference). The employee got me a bigger trailer (good), but said there was no dolly because it was first come, first serve basis (bad). How can you lead the customer to believe if he/she makes a reservation that the equipment will be there to rent, when it is not?

We had a 4x8 inclosed Trailer. It was a real joy to pull this trailer seemed well balanced, electrical worked, tongue connection was great. It was clean ready to go. The workers at U Haul were great when we picked up and brought back so thank you to U-Haul for having this available. Ps there was a delay Your side picking up because your computer system was not working and even though we reserved 4 x 8 and Did on line Ck verification for 4x8 , your place tried to talk us into a 5x8, finally you provided a 4 x 8.

This location is fine. The problem is corporate which absolutely sucks. Reserved a trucker with an auto trailer in San Francisco. The DAY BEFORE I was scheduled to pick up the truck I was told that there are no trucks or trailers in SF. The only truck with trailer was apparently in Morro Bay (230+ miles away) and I had less than 24 hours to go get it while also trying to prepare for our move. Or the other option was to pick up a truck without trailer in Sacramento (2hr drive each way). So I had to waste most of our last day in the area to get one-way transport to Sacramento and pick up the truck. I called corporate on the way to the Sac location to confirm that they had the truck and was told they did. When I arrived, I was told that the truck that corporate had said was mine was already reserved by another customer. Thankfully (for me) I was given the truck which means that the other person was screwed by U-Haul. And, because they didn't have a trailer like I deserved, we had to leave our car in the area. Now we get to fly back and drive our car 500+ miles. U-Haul's absolutely atrocious service means that we'll have to spend hundreds of dollars and several days to retrieve our car. You suck, U-Haul. You suck more than I can put into words. Screw you.

The guy who checked the truck out and in was efficient and nice and ended up bringing a dolly to me because that wasn't there when I picked up the truck either, which was really helpful so I didn't have to come back in the middle of my move.
