Booked a 10 foot box truck for 6:30am as I had a film shoot to be on the road for at 7am. The location changed my reservation the morning of to when they opened which made me late and cost me about $500 for the production. When I asked why i couldn't pick up the truck before opening utilizing the 24/7 service I was told that the Redding branch didn't offer that because trucks would be stolen and to not tell corporate because corporate would think they are just not wanting to do their jobs. Which is exactly what I think. Furthermore, I made the reservation last week and the branch had plenty of time to notify me of this policy. When asked about this, I was told they don't receive the reservations until the day before which is very hard to believe and if true a horrible reservation set up as a company. I would really appreciate a refund for this rental as it was a terrible experience.

I had reserved the 15' truck the day before; all went quickly & smoothly. Having more help would have help reduce the wait in line. All in all very good experience.

The employee who handled my check in and registration for the van was excellent. He was very friendly very knowledgeable about his job. He was just great a lot of times you go into even that particular location and other locations and you don't get much customer service it's just give me your card. Give me your drivers license sign here, here here here your keys, but this young man was super great very kind and took his time with me to explain everything so I really appreciate it. Upon bringing the van back, I got a young kid and he didn't say much to me. He just grunted.

Had to download the app to return equipment after hours. My wife and I had to wait in a dark, dimly lit, backside of the building in a "not great" side of town, with inconsistent cell service, to complete the return, … and take pictures in the dark. Had to "hunt" for how to return equipment after hours… a little hard to find! Slight bummer. But equipment worked great.

There are so many hidden fees its almost silly. But you guys know there is really no other option so i guess we just have to deal with it. The people working there we nice and helpful but it ended up costing way more then i feel is fair.

This was the worse running vehicle I have every rented from u haul in the last 20 plus years I have been using u haul. 6mpg is not good.

I returned the equipment 45 minutes late and I got charged for a whole extra day for a truck and an appliance dolly. The representative "Gage" was his name was VERY rude and obnoxious. I have been a customer at the Cypress store for years, 3 times just in March. Never again.

The truck appeared to be well maintained, however, as we were driving to our new location, the check engine light came on. Also, in the morning when we were going to return the truck to the drop off location, the engine would not start. Dead battery. We had to jump start it from my car. We had not left the lights on or anything, but it was cold overnight, below freezing.

This van was in good shape and easier to drive than others I have rented. Also, it had a full tank of gas which was SO MUCH EASIER!!

I arrived at 7:30am to pick up the truck as per my reservation. There were 6 other customers waiting ahead of me all with reservations. There was only one employee scheduled to work. I waited in line for 45 minutes and he was only able to get through 2 customers in that amount of time. I asked the poor guy if he would like me to come back later because I didn't really need it till 1:00. He shouted yes please and asked me my last name. I told him and said "thank you, I will take care of you when you come back. When I came back he was not available and another guy insisted on taking care of me. I explained what happened that morning. He totally ignored me and focused on doing my paperwork. When he finished it he threw it on the counter and start rattling off pickup time and other information when he highlighted the return time it was less than 24hours. I pointed that out and he said that's "what it was reserved for. I said that was if I had a picked it up in the morning. His response was " it's not are fault you picked it up late. I responded, I didn't pick it up late. I did the other guy a favor by postponing it. He totally ignored everything I had explained to him. To cut to the chase… I retruned the truck the next day at 10:30 am. I was 30 minutes late. Same guy waited on me and proceeded to charge me for an extra day. He was extremely rude to me. There was nothing I could do because he had my card number and he just charged my account. I have rented from u-haul many times over the years. I have never encountered this kind of lack of service and most definitely his rudeness! I will never use them again and I am going to be sure to share my experience with anyone that mentions using u-haul in the future!!

Dylan was awesome with both the 20' rental truck and the car trailer. The other staff person thought he knew how to get the pigtail working on the trailer, but actually made it worse. Dylan was methodical, got us transferred to a different working trailer. The other associate made us late by 20 mins. The online help was nice as it was Sun of daylight savings weekend, and we had lost an hour. She moved oor return time 1 hour later

Truck was ready and clean. Check in was easy, Drop off…was helped by Gage who was the friendliest of the associates I dealt with. Very pleasant and helpful.

My truck leaked quite a bit and many of my items were very wet. This was very disappointing.

It was raining hard and steady (Redding, CA). In spite of this we were not rushed. We were given GREAT explanations regarding the equipment. He did not rush through and used accomplished skills of clarification and confirmation enabling us to have a successful and SAFE trip. I left the lot feeling secure that the use of the equipment would be returned without incident.

I have two minor complaints. First , the right side tail light kept going out due to a loose connector, easily fixed by pushing it back in, but it would wiggle back out again. Brake light/signal stayed working though. Second, the tailgate pin on the right side was tough to get out and back in. Something was bent a little and wouldn't let it freely slide in and out. Other than those things, it was perfect for moving some appliances around. The ramp tailgate was fantastic for trucking things onto the trailer.

My reservation was changed twice and I was t notified the second time. I had to wait for an hour to pick up my truck-after I did the online check out, and the workers didn't do a walk around with the truck. In addition, the truck that we got had a slipping transmission.

Nothing I've used this U-Haul location for storage and for moving my belongings when my apartment came available. I will use it again if the time comes when I should move again. I always tell others that they should go not to U-Haul to rent what they need to move but also specify the location of the Churn Creek location as the employees are always professional and friendly as well as caring and clearly explaining your return of the truck in my case. Keep up the excellent work!!

1. This is a situation that was only the person who rented the auto trailer before me. The ramps were encrusted with mud. This did not stop me from using the trailer. 2. I was told to return the trailer at 7:30AM on a Sunday. The Cypress Blvd, store does not open until 9:00AM on Sunday. I ended up waiting for 1,5 hours. I called the emergency service number to explain the situation and I was worried of being charged for another day. The nice woman reset the computer time for turn in so I would not be charged and extra day. Finally at 9:00AM I was allowed to check in. I have to say that scheduled turn in time should really be the time the store actually opens.

These guys do a great job! But unfortunately, uhaul is too cheap to hire more staff. Wait times can be long!!! Wake up corporate!!! Employees leave at peak hours, due to lack of hours available!

Had my stuff in storage there for a couple years and I always felt secure with the thought that it was under lock and key and constant surveillance. Building was always clean and easy to access and if I ever need to use storage again I will be back.

Quick and easy. Got the first month's rent free because we rented a truck first. U-Haul gave us a free lock for completing the move in online. Didn't have to talk to anyone.

The staff in this town's U-Haul was exceptionally well mannered and sociable. They form a personal bond with each customer and attend to their needs on an individual basis. It feels like a community store even though it's a corporation. They've done very well here and I hope to see them continue in their success.

We rented an outdoor drive up unit and had all of the space we needed. Due to an upcoming project at the facility we were asked to relocate or move out and help was offered. While it wasn't ideal to move so quickly, we would have e stayed another month at least, the offers of help financially and logistically was appreciated. I would rent again with Uhaul in the future, including for storage needs.

I have given a 5 star rating because of your great staff and rental facilities but honestly don't feel comfortable recommending your storage. It was very uncomfortable moving in because the area is so unsecured and totally open to anyone. I had transients walk through just in the short time I was there unloading and there is garbage and signs of transient use behind my unit. I really think you should consider fencing the area and allow access only to customers. That being said I am grateful to have a place to put my things and for the free month that came with my trailer rental. I hope it stays secure. $1000 insurance could never cover the loss of keepsakes and property. Best wishes, Richard

There was miscommunication somewhere. My order was mysteriously canceled and I had to call to fix it then I was never told it was an indoor storage unit up a flight of stairs and that was NOT what I needed(the redbluff uhaul storage set up was what I expected) And the redding location doesn't honor the free month and they had such limited availability they couldn't even give me the correct size. Ive never had any issues renting trucks and equipment but my experience with the storage aspect really tainted my trust. I hope your employees are clearer in the future.

I reserved a storage unit several days before moving but when I got into town I was told by a somewhat robotic and unemotional employee that there were no storage units available and my reservation which was confirmed via credit card and email was not in their system. It's completely unacceptable. The toilet in this facility also constantly has feces all down the back of the toilet bowl. Same exact situation 3 years ago when I rented there, no change.

Line was very long. Staff was kind and helpful. Kept telling me about the access card swipe doent work and to just ignore if it errors and just go to the unit. Not alot of confidence in the security offered seeing as anyone can ignore the security and just come in. Have a drive up unit, which was sketchy. I'm 50 and can hop th edd fence easily. did purchase insurance, but I did not get the impression that that matters.

Code to unit did not work. Over 3 months. So I moved put. I was paying for alarm. Antony can get into my or other unit. Plus the door alarm for card was out too. The manager say one time then it never got fix. Plus which staff member like to use customer bath room. Stick it up

About half way through my stay, a Uhaul rep called me and stated they would need to cut my lock off to install new security system. I gave them approval as long as they put another one on and left me a key at the front desk. After my wife tried to get the key she was told they would never do that. After about a week of trying they finally came out to remove the lock again (assuming we locked ourselves out) and came to the realization that they had the key in one of their drawers up front. Pretty disappointed at how much of my wife and I's time was wasted. Facilities are incredibly expensive compared to local storage.

The local UHaul staff and knowledge is great. The local staff are very helpful and go above and beyond. The phone system and national UHaul experience is horrible. The wait times are excessive. Every call is transferred to at least 3 other "departments" and sometimes you MUST go to the local UHaul to have your question answered or need resolved. Corporate is terrible. Local is amazing! Local phone contact would be even better. Thank you, Cyprus Redding UHaul for all your help!

I tell you what, the people who work at U-Haul in Redding are the most nicest and helpful business employees I've ever met. I have had multiple transactions with them in the past few months and they have consistently been amazing. I will definitely continue to be a U-Haul customer. This is the first time using a ubox and I wasn't pleased with how little the box was for $1700.00. I had to ship items ups because we were told our 5x8 storage unit items would all fit. It didnt. So..

Avoid uhaul like the plague. Uhaul's incompetence took nearly 3 weeks to deliver my ubox. An associate gave us wrong information leading to delays. 3x the scheduled delivery dates were missed.

Returned calls go to the call center. Every time. U Haul is a disorganized mess. Have not received info from UHAUL that my contract has been completed. 1 UBox came with forklift holes. A mess.
