Lino MYou can't do anything about Salem's parking ban in October, but it doubled the cost of my rental getting Uber's to and from. Crew was very very good! Manager, who I'm sure deals with many jerks, was really good and approachable. Seems like he really cares.

TEMISTOCLE TThe drop off location was extremely rude, charged me for not folding the moving blankets which were folded, they charged me for an after hours drop, never sent me a receipt for the drop off.

MATTHEW CWe are a repeat customer of this location for several rentals to and from university. This was our last time using this location. The person that checked us in for the reservation I made was the most rude, unkind, least customer service trained I have ever encountered. At truck return there was another employee that began the process and was the usual professional and kind employee you would expect to encounter at such a location. Towards the end of the check in the original rude unfriendly person took over and my decision was confirmed that I will not use that location again. He made me so uncomfortable that I waited in the parking lot rather than wait inside for my family member to pick me up. U-Haul do better and seriously look at who you have in customer facing roles. This employee belongs in the back and not engaging with customers. This is a sure way to loose repeat business and new customers from this location. Regards- EV Bouchard

MIKE BI can't remember the employee's name, but he was phenomenal. When we identified something in the tire before departure, he very quickly remedied the problem and profusely apologized for missing it.

LINDA CGet a new manager. His buisness model seems to be "the customers always wrong". He wouldnt let me return it one minute early because the lane marked Return lane was being used to service new rentals going out for the day. Instead of a "im sorry I got a rude "well now your going to have to wait" for coming early! Return deadline was 8 am. I was there at opening at 7 to insure I didnt get charged extra. He was abrasive and rude from the beginning and I wanted to cancel it but it was easier to bite my tounge than go to another location.

Louis did a wonderful job getting the trailer hooked up for me and checking that everything was correct before I left. The trailer worked great and the return/checkin process was a breeze. I will be back anytime I need a transport rental and I will refer my friends

S Bterrible customer service, an employee went in and changed my truck reservation because he double booked and didn’t want to deal with it, he was getting screamed at by another customer he screwed over when i arrived…just a terrible experience and genuinely almost asked for a full refund. i will NEVER use uhaul again.
LOREN SVery happy with the trailer. It was clean and everything worked well, including notoriously difficult trailer lights. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The only thing that would have made it better would be if they moved my daughter into her apartment for me.

NICHOLA GI tried renting from the Rowley, MA location which was close to my home that I was moving out of. After securing the reservation, the store called back to say the truck was no longer available but they said there was one in the Salem, MA location. The Salem location was 20 miles from my house so I had to pay $1,39 per mile ($55) just to drive to and from my house. The Rowley location said Salem should work with me on cost of miles but Salem refused. The workers in the Salem location were incredibly rude despite having a very large sign in front of their store that says they provide the best service. On top of this, I was charged a service fee for returning the truck early. No where was it mentioned that I would be charged for an early return. I'll NEVER rent from there again and will do everything I can to not use UHaul at all.

RICHARD HThe employee stated that the $25 insurance was required or he would need to view my insurance information. I paid for the insurance because I did not want to argue or have the rental process take any longer but I called UHaul corporate later and confirmed that it is not a real policy. I made a complaint and was told I would be receiving a call. Another note, he was telling the same thing to other customers along with me so I'm sure this has been going on for a while.
BRUCE BI cleaned out my storage yesterday and terminated my lease. A rat trap was in my unit and rats had shredded and nested in some of my belongings.

Anthony and Chris are super friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to give great customer service. Seemed like every time I was there, Anthony was there to help me with whatever I needed, and he was always so patient, kind, and accomodating. Uhaul is a big company, but they make that branch feel like a local neighborhood rental and storage place. Just great service. 10/10. Thanks for everything!

Anything heavy would be like impossible to to leave here so unless I get a bottom unit, I'm gonna have to pull out before the month is out even though it's been free and find a place where I can at least put heavy stuff in, otherwise I love this U-Haul place. I've been using it for well over 20 years not for storage but for trucks and supplies it's better than it ever ever was. It's super top-notch, modern and friendly as ever can be the people and helpful.

Max is definitely ready for his assistant management position and went above and beyond to help me get my storage unit set and truck returned. Anthony's leadership and poise were critical at drop off and he has been very helpful resolving discrepancies with the New York pick up location. Make sure you hold on to these guys.
