There has already come so far with the new owner and I have never had a better experience with U-Haul and I use them a lot because I go dirt biking and used trailers and trucks a lot from them. You can tell they turn around rate is gone down on employees which makes getting to know them easier and helps with everything. You used to go in there and see one or two customer service people white knuckling through typing on the keyboard trying to get customers and grumpy tired people like customers like myself waiting for my spot in line. Now it's you go in there and you're out of there in 5 minutes I literally was blown away. Equipment was definitely but she's improvement I was so surprised to not get a clapped out truck. The truck was a little dirty in the cargo area. Not sweept,clumps of grass. The cargo door was half broken very hard to open more so to close. A/C did not work at all (in the 90Â°s). The whole phone thing was a joke. Did not upload photos with decent phone service. Not impressed at all. Only thing that was half way decent was the pickup the desk help was very helpful and got me on my way, other than that pretty piss poor customer service as far a maintenance and cleaning.Dennis M.

returning the uhaul at night was a pain, primarily because we didn't know we were going to have to go through a whole online survey thing with pictures until after we turned in the keys. When we picked up the van we were told where to return it and where to put the keys but it would also have been good to know about the survey, tooRyan G.

Some of the plastic â€œtrimâ€ was broken, but with 90k on the engine, I'm not shocked. Obviously I just didn't want to be charged for it, which I wasn't. This location seems much better and cheaper than Danvers. Maybe I'm wrong on the latter, but it's been months since my last Danvers rental.Christopher M.
I was expecting today's rental experience to be similar to past ones: long lines, the vehicle I'd reserved was not available, a hassle and lots of questions to pick up the vehicle, etc. It was none of that. Fast, friendly, and simple. Someone has done outstanding effort at refining the process. Kudos to them. I'll definitely rent from here again and recommend others do to!paul J.

I made a reservation a week in advance, I show up and it's not there. What is the point of making reservations. The two young guys I spoke too at the desk were great but the older gentleman who seemed to be in charge was rude to them and dismissive to customers. Keeping reservations is more important that just taking them, I didn't waste anyones time, showed up on time and did my part, how is it right that I have to get my truck at one location and PAY BY THE MILE to drive over to get my trailer. Made me late to my appointment, very unhappy with service but truck was fineJake P.

The second question is difficult to answer. The truck that I received was well used. There wasn't any trash or anything like that in the cab so yes it was clean however, the air conditioning didn't work. When I mentioned this at check in I was told the part on back order. No air conditioning on a hot day there was no relief from the heat. Also the truck vibrated when I reached 65MPH which was disconcerning.david P.

I had a unit there a few years ago. Facility was ALWAYS clean. Never an issue with security or undesirable people just hanging around as with other facilities. 24 hr access used to be available which is convenient but the hours now are more than sufficient. I will day the manager there now is MUCH more pleasant than the woman that was there. She was part of the reason I took my stuff out. The manager now was phenomenal!!! I used the 24/7 Truck Share and did everything directly from my phone. It was extremely user friendly and made the experience very easy. I did not appreciate that the online gas meter when picking the vehicle up was vague. It did not have the fractions like the meter when dropping the vehicle off. I figured it was close enough to the correct amount when I picked the truck up, but I ended up owing extra because the second meter was more specific and I didn't want to lie. It's just something small and tainted the experience a little bit.Michael S.

If you say that you have dollys, and I reserve them, please have them available. Have counter help that cares that you ordered dollys and they are a necessary part of your move. Have employees that tell you exactly where the keys are, so you don't have to walk across the parking lot twice and waste time when time is costly. Have employees that care that you can't see over the steering wheel because the particular truck they gave you doesn't have tilt steering, while telling you that most do, when they have plenty of trucks sitting around. Have the tanks at 1/2 tank when picked up, not below. Wish I had noticed earlier! Employees are probably siphoning gas for themselves.LISA A.

We returned the truck a day early on Sunday around 3 in the afternoon. The guy said he was busy to just leave the truck with the keys in it. Now we are being charged that we returned it Wednesday. Hope the day I spent trying to get hold of customer service removes the additional 2 day fee. Very disappointing end to a rental that was going ok..kathleen or Mich R.
The truck was in terrible condition. It overheated and had no antifreeze in it. The wiper blades were broken and did not work. It was dirty. I will no longer use uhaul. Next time my company needs to rent a truck we will be renting from Penske.Theodore M.

I picked up the Uhaul at 10:30am and dropped it off 2 days later at 10:30am and they charged me for 3 days. It was a 2 day rental. No one answers the phone. They are terribleHayley D.
Very convenient. Equipment was clean but old. In adequate repair, but not great. Had issues I the office with the Cc reader. Very unclear how to drop off the vehicle when there is a line to be checked in. Signs or a staff member to assist would have saved me time. Or a handout when the vehicles is picked up.richard G.

I would never rent a unit from Uhaul EVER again. It was a nightmare from the start. The only upside was that it was free to keep my stuff there for 6 weeks after arguing with the manager about the rate. Then when the day came to move out they had put a lock on my unit. We chose Uhaul Storage as the location was convenient for what we were looking for and not for the service or management. Do not waste your time on the website looking for a unit to rent/reserve. The online reservation and email confirmation you receive mean absolutely nothing. If you call them or speak to them in person they will tell you that the units are given out first come first serve at physical check-in and that the reservation you have taken the time to make does not hold a space for you. Moving in itself is stressful enough, but packing all week and moving all day, hours in a truck, and then finding out that the storage size you are requesting is sold out that day is not available when you plan to arrive is just the most unsettling news. Luckily while we were a just a few hours from arriving to the facility they called us back and told us a room had just opened up. There should be a way to be able to reserve ahead of time and pay in advance in order to hold a room for your arrival.Ava P. | Premières impressions

A lock was supposed to be included in the rental of the storage unit and was supposed to be found just inside the door of the empty unit but there was no lock and when I returned to the office was told that they were out of stock, fortunately we had our own from a previous rental! Otherwise a great rental experience so far. I rented a truck too. Pleasant staff, his name was Matthew. I know there's a spot on the website that mentions the possibility of getting a multi level unit .. or something like that, but I would perhaps not have rented it if I knew there was not an elevator. This facility is clean and convenient. The Manager (Adrian) is knowledgeable and the remainder of the staff (Alex) struggle, for example my reserved storage unit wasn't really reserved, and my unused cardboard box return which had been purchased earlier in the day was returned with a receipt, and yet I got a shrug of the shoulders and "something is wrong and we can't give you a return receipt but the money _should_ return to your CC in a few weeks", from the same employee who incorrectly told me my unit was reserved a few weeks ago. The storage unit rained dead bugs when I opened it, however, the low rating is because I'm being harassed through texts and emails to rate my experience with uhaul. It makes me want to not use uhaul again. Also, I referred a friend to this uhaul, and they screwed up which size unit she wanted, twice, including making her go to another uhaul for the truck, which made her have to pay for the extra mileage on it.Martha S. | Expérience générale

But when I went to pick up the truck to empty my storage on the 8th the facility assistant manager who was a gentleman he was very very disrespectful. He takes about the lady who helped me on the 6th real bad he said she should have never do what she did also his inter act with me was awful. My card didn't work to get me back and forth get every trip I made. The guy who was doing the vehicle cleaning etc had to help me. The so called assistant manager was so bad I refuse to ask him any more questions. Don't remember his name but in a rating of 1 to 10 I gave him a -50. Staff was always friendly and helpful however every time I called or arrived in person at the office I waited at least 20 minutes for assistance. Most employees seemed poorly trained and the facility always seemed understaffed. Storage room itself was secure and clean and never had difficulty accessing it. This company doesn't have a clue about anything. Everytime I went there there was always a mess up. They had no clue what they are doing . I got over charged for a unit the first month that was supposed to be free because I rented a truck. Then I was supposed to be on automatic pay that they messed up and made me have a late charges.So all my stuff is out of this terrible place and. John (I think his name is John) was super helpful. It was an end-of-the-month rental with an on-line reservation and some sort of U-Haul traffic/website mixup but he got me the truck.
