I was thoroughly pleased with the service I received. Steve and Jamal helped me out and it was greatly appreciated. They're awesome!!! The gentleman that helped me with the rental process was great as well.

Jason ZCheck the transmission.... the gear takes too long to shift, which uses extra gas and will damage the transmission as well.
VIRGINIA S-Need to have the road leading into the lot repaved. -Need more parking up front. I came back from using my truck and there was small bent from another car. -On pick up and drop off I had to wait for an attendant to present themselves for over 5 minutes. -Pickup attendant was having 2 side conversation going on while I was in front of her. I don't mind this if it doesn't interfere with my level of service. It did interfere a few times. -There was never an initial walkaround before I took the truck. -There was a discrepancy with the fuel usage. On the drop off the attendant said the truck had 5-16 of a tank but the picture I took showed the level under 1/4. But because I didn't upload the picture (which no one told me I could do) I had to go with the attendant's word and pay more.

YVES PExperience with this company was the horrible safety hazards with the vehicle I purchased initially then when I returned, the company tried to charge me falsely for a few days that were not accurate repeatedly overcharging the credit card that was on file. Customer service is despicable. Overall, this location has grossly neglected their customers.

JEFFERY WYou did our company dirty twice, the person on the phone said the truck rental could be extended after the first week, then after it was reserved for a week you said we could only keep it for 5 days when we went to pick it up. We returned it on time and reserved one for the following week only to get a call the day before picking it up that you did not have one after all!
Brian GThis review is for Savannah U-Hauls overall. We reserved in advance/were told we could pick up a UHaul at another location, and when we got there the location didn't have a UHaul for us. They sent us to a UHaul across town, and they also didn't have one. Then I went to this location, where they told us that the reason no one wanted to rent us one was because Amazon was using all the cargo trucks for Prime Week, and it simply wasn't as lucrative to rent it to us instead. After a lengthy back and forth with UHaul over the phone, they finally gave us our truck. This whole ordeal took up a few hours of our life, and we were late picking a colleague up from the airport.

TARA GWe needed a truck ASAP to provide supplies for hurricane Helene victims, and U-Haul provided a truck for us very quickly and courteous. They got us a truck available within the hour and had us on the road. I would highly recommend U-Haul.

JOHN KI have used this location a few times since living in Savannah this past three and a half years. The staff has been wonderful even though they stay rather busy and usually underappreciated by impatient customers. Even though it sometimes takes a hot minute for it to be my turn, they have always taken good care of me and been very nice.

The leak Ruined a cedar chest, We called the dealership to ask for a replacement truck. Even though we had purchased insurance with roadside coverage, they said we'd have to bring the truck back and check out a new one. We didn't have the luxury of that kind of time: I did ask "what's roadside assistance worth, if you can't come to the customer to bring a nonleaking truck, or a truck that has broken down?"

CHRISTOPHER AThe gentleman who put our car on the auto transport did not do it correctly. We checked on the car and truck every time we pulled over for gas. Thank goodness we do because the cargo netting that goes over the front tires was not tightened (ratcheted) enough and came off one tire while we were driving on the interstate. I don't even want to think of what could have happened if went unnoticed! We had to wait for roadside assistance to come out and re-do both tires because the other tires netting wasn't tight enough either. This could have ended very badly!!

He and his staff are simply awesome. They worked through the issue and found us a unit similar to the one we had originally booked. The facility is clean, al the atmosphere is friendly. The culture of this store is fantastic, way better than many other U-Haul locations I have been to. This store should be your gold standard.

When I finally did get my things out there were dropping and bugs in my furniture so I ended up having to get rid of most of my things. I was not compensated in any way for the time I did not have access to my unit. There was a point where they put a lock on my unit because I missed a payment due to changing cards and not updating it. I made the payment and called to request the lock be removed. They said they'd remove it within 24 hours. I drove an hour and a half after 48 hours and ended up having to cut the lock myself. One of the young ladies in the office was rude when I asked her who I needed to contact about the inconvenience. I will never use U-Haul for storage again. Worst experience ever hands down.
