We had a 4 day trip while moving and everything that could go wrong did! We were tired and frustrated, and although they didn't have the unit we needed when we arrived they worked with us to come up with an alternate plan. I rented a van and when we came to pick it up they said the van had a flat tire. So we had to get a 10ft truck instead and they said we could drop it off in vermillion and not have to bring it back. However when we got to vermilion they had no notice of it and said we had been charged wrong. So instead of 80 $it was more like 250 $. Doesn't seem very fair that we were notified of a 3 times price hike AFTER we had finished using the truck. Interesting that when they made a mistake we had to pay for it. Never using uhaul again.MARILEE K.
Service was slow and the representative who waited in me was scared of his manager. His co-workers seemed annoyed and the lady he asked to help him was rude to him. The back of the truck was stuck and very hard to open. The ride was loud and uncomfortable.MICHAEL K.

The location opened late and there was a long line of very unhappy customers. However, the individual that assisted me was pleasant and quick. He had me on the road quickly. I will add, however, that I used the App to upload the majority of required items such as my drivers license, etc. to reduce my wait time.Craig B.

Ensure there is an adequate amount of staff present to ensure the expediency guaranteed by booking and checking in online. The staff I dealt with was courteous and knew their job well. Just need more of them.BENJAMIN L.
I was told the tank was full but it was just a little of 3 quarters. I drove 12 miles but when I filled it up to return it I had to put 37 dollars in gas to fill it up.Anthony I.

This is more of a technical issue. The Dollies barely fit the ramp of the 20' truck. I nearly lost a few pieces of furniture due to the unforgiving allotment of wiggle room. Otherwise, everything was good.THOMAS D.
Equipment started out with 1/4 tank of gas, yet it was my responsibility to return it at 1/2 tank. Funny how I should have to pay for someone else. Waste of money and will use and recommend other sources than uhaul.KYLE C.

Completely unprofessional and wrong that someone pays for 30 days with no other option and moves out early, maybe due to a change in circumstance and they don't get reimbursed for any of the amount they were required to pay but didnt use. There was only 1 person working and 10 people waiting in line. The truck I was mobile checking in was in the shop repair que, they truck they substituted it with had a check engine light on. By the time I even got the truck an hour had already been used of my rental time. Honestly, not a good experience. Added stress to an already stressful situation.Morgan M.

1) steering is very loose & sloppy. 2) back door is nearly impossible to pull down and latch. 3) your online after hours drop off doesn't work. I tried it with 3 different cell phones, 2 Samsungs & 1 iPhone, and none could complete the task. Could never get pictures of mileage & gas gauge to upload. 4) called the 800 #. Waited over 40 minutes for anyone to answer. That person had to transfer me to someone else. I waited again. While on hold my wife picked me up and drove me home. The person that eventually came on was helpful.MICHAEL M.

I could not get the app to accept me location. I could not check the vehicle in when I was finished as it was after hours. Perhaps allowing someone to type in the location would help. I have all location finders on accurately.CINDY F.
Trailer was great!. But I believe a worker by name of Tyler at uhaul st the 12st in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Was horribly rude and disrespectful and looked like he hated his jobDESIREE M.
The first truck they tried to give me had the engine light on. They told me everything would be ok. When I pushed the issue and asked if they would drive it down the road, they got me a different truck.Paul N.
We thought we booked at the kiawanis location they changed our reservation to the main u haul the location didn't open till 9 we could of gotten the trailer and been on our way right away at kiawanis he even had one... instead we had to wait till 9 we were the 3 customer in line and we didn't get checked out and shown our trailer till 930 only one person at the register when we left there was a line to the door.... although someone could change lightbulbs and mow wile they had customers waiting.... they need a better system and customer comes first should be the moto.. everyone should be cross trained so anyone could step Up and help when their is a line no one should have to wait 30+ minutes in a line...... we usualy don't use uhahl my husband can use a trailer from his work they just all happened to he reserved so we rented one from you the guy who checked us out I know he was busy and probably stressed he came off rude....DEREK E.

Lot was full ,employee's swearing, ask me to move truck to another spot and then again to drop trailer at another spot.Jamie R.
I made reservations on line 4 weeks in advance, so I would NOT have to wait in line. This was an ordeal, taking pics of DL, posting, etc. At least 30-45 minutes. Then I went to pick up truck, had to go inside, get in line.....I had reserved truck, flat dolly, box dolly. Then a rude u haul person came out to load dolly and said they didn't have flat dolly. How can that be, that is most important when moving furniture. U haul sucks!!MICHAEL R.

Not enough employees working. I waited 10 min at 1030am for an employee to even come inside the building to help with the rental. When I returned the rental the same day at 430 there were 3 customers waiting in front of me and no employees in the store. Please pay your employees more so more people will want to work there. It seemed like the service associates were rushed and/or just annoyed that there were customers present. It was like a rush to get me out of the door without explaining much. I was given keys to the uhaul and said â€œit's good to go.â€ I got into the truck and noticed the tank was at 3/4. I went back inside and they said â€œwell just document it.â€ I was confused and then they said â€œyou should've got an email or a text to fill out.â€ I've rented several uhauls before years ago- but wow. This was probably the worst experience I've ever had with them.Jennifer F.

This place needs ALOT MORE ROOM When we got there, Ashton was sitting in a uhaul, on his phone checking in, Ashton was smoking a juhl type device. The engine on the uhaul would rev and the vehicle would want to go forward even with the brakes applied. This happened 2 times. I was charged 49 $extra dollars at check in saying 100 miles each way. We drove from Spencer, IA to Sheldon, IA TO Sioux Falls, SD. We drove 116 miles maybe. I was never told I would have to pay more than the 174 $. This is deceptiveCATHY T.

Customers, including myself, had to wait a very long time to be waited on. There were only 2 people working when they knew there were a lot of reservations for that day and it took an hour waiting in line to be served. I showed up a hour earlier per calling a week before to see if I could as they said it was ok. I pre-registered like the email and over the phone said. I was under the impression it was ok. I showed up at 830am to get a open bed trailer. I was in line a hour. There was only 2 p working as the assistant that helped me explain 3 ppl didn't show up for work. 1 didn't show up because of her kids due to multiple times doing it. He didn't think she should still have a job. It wS the most unprofessional situation. I understand not having a full crew but to tell the customers is not ok. The system was trying to charge me double the associate couldn't figure out why called somewhere multiple times than to figure out I checked in early. If more locations would have been open on a Sunday I would have gone somewhere else. I have been in customer service 20 yrs that whole situation was not ok. Than to return the item.. I came back the next more to check in. I tried doing it online like the associate told me n the email was not the same. So I came back to make sure the trailer was there n checked in. The girl couldn't find the trailer said it should be checked in ok. I didn't have to stay they would figure it out. The 4 employees I incountered well I'm surprised you still have a running location. As to say I would expect a full refund for the shit show I had to deal with would be the least expectation. Good luck with keeping this location running. MelissaMelissa A.

The equipment, facility and service was exceptional. I like the online check-in process. I understand add on sales, but on some pages it's not obvious on how to "opt out" of the offer (page recommending helpers - labor).Matt D.

We had reserved a small truck and a storage unit on 5/11/21 for our use on 5/18/21. When we arrived, everything we thought had been set up on the 11th wasn't there. We had to basically begin again. Re-renting the truck went okay. However, we were told to return to the renting office before going to the storage unit when we returned with items to place in storage. That's when we found that the storage unit we arranged on 5/11 wasn't reserved either. We were given a new storage unit. When we arrived at the location for all the storage units, Skip was there and helped us find the storage unit. The unit we had just been assigned had a lock on it. Skip worked to find a unit that we could move into, but to no avail. We returned to the office. We were told to return and the nice lady waiting on us said she would be there in a few minutes to try to remove the lock as the unit was to be empty. We were given another unit in case the unit happened to have items in it yet. We met the lady at the unit and she tried to open the lock; however, the lock wasn't easily opened and so we went to the second unit she set up for us which turned out to be empty and just fine. We unloaded our boxes (about 30 or so) and returned to the rental site to return the truck. That turned out to be VERY quick and VERY easy. I commend the staff at this location for their attentiveness and commitment to customer service. The young man that we met on 5/11 was not present during any of our transactions on the 18th.GERALD A.

I had to wait over an hour to pick up a trailer for a scheduled Saturday morning pickup. There was not enough personnel to deal with customers who had scheduled reservations. UHaul should know how many reservations there are and schedule personnel accordingly. The front door was locked and the only way to get in was to wait for someone to come out. Trailer was not in the right place (behind another trailer) and reservation had to be switched to a different trailer.Tommy W.

My initial phone conversations were very helpful but when I got confirmations on everyting the size of my unit was wrong. I called 2X and when I got there it was still not correct. Your employee on site (Tyler?) was excellant to work with.
