The online portal for booking was user friendly and easy, and the call center employee contacted to make a booking change was also very helpful and efficient. However, I would reccommend a safety warning regarding the decibal level inside the truck during operation; I honestly believe that the noise level sustained during my 1300 km journey through the mountains has caused some deterioration in my long-term hearing health. The truck screams at high RPM when getting up the mountian passed, and the decibal level is uncomfortable even during regular acceleration on the highway. Ear plugs should be offered/recommended at the time of pickup and a warning lable should be visible in the truck.

So, on top of wasting my time I had to drive to my job to borrow one which cost me more money and the nice gentlemen in the shop said he took it off my order so I wouldn't be charged, but I still got charged for it.

I was not informed of any issues with the booking, but on arrival to my pick up location this morning, there was no truck. I then had to drive to the main depot in order to get access to my truck. This wasted over an hour of my time and forced me to pay additionally based on the added drive distance. I would like someone to contact me regarding this issue asap.

It smelled soooooo bad and now my couch smells like garbage. I've rented a decent amount of U-Hauls over time and never experienced this. It was too late to bring it back on I realized.

CARL M.Old coffee was spilt in the cup holder so I had to clean that up. When I picked up the truck I was shown the amount of fuel to add when retuning (they tell you on the paperwork how many litres to add for how much fuel you used). I added the corresponding amount of fuel right before returning and when I call arrived, the employee told me that the fuel was too low and (a few litres) and I was charged a fee. I felt completely nickel and dime'd. I followed the instructions I was given and was charged a fee. How does that seem right . I have a feeling that no fuel will be added to the vehicle either so they just took my money to punish me . I've rented here quite a bit and usually have an ok experience with the last few times I've left frustrated. My previous experience was that of renting a motorcycle trailer. The employee hooked the trailer up to my vehicle, but the brake lights wouldn't work. They were very insistent that my connection was messed up as their equipment was not the issue and told me to go get it cleaned before they would rent it to me. I spent an hour and a bunch of money getting electrical contact cleaner and a tester and cleaned all the connections and tested them. When I got back it's still wouldn't work. They really didn't want to help me so I tried to troubleshoot everything on my own after almost 2 hours of trying to figure all this out I ended up peeling back the electrical tape on the trailer harness and the brake light wire was cut. They ended up having to splice the wire together which took even more time and magically the connection worked. The employee rushed to connect the trailer and good thing I checked it before I left because it wasn't tight at all and would have fallen off. They also took the new tester out of my trunk that I had just purchased thinking that it was theirs. I need to rent a trailer at the end of the week but I will be going to a different location. There should be give and take. I brought the truck back cleaner than it was and was very patient with the trailer debacle. I hope the $5 charge was worth it.

Had reserved for 2 furniture dollies and 1 utility dolly from the 9521 - 51 Ave location. When I arrived to pickup the U-Haul, the rep there said they had only 1 utility dolly available at their location. Good thing I didn't have too heavy of furniture to move, otherwise would have been a big problem. Regardless, this should be fixed so when booking On-Line, the system has the correct inventory available for All locations.
Lil W.Always the best place in Edmonton to rent a U-Haul from, they get you in and out quickly and professionally. It's not the closest one to me at all but it is the absolute best in Edmonton. I'll drive a little further every time to deal with this staff. The equipment is the same everywhere but the staff make the difference. Highly recommend

Rose S.Started this journey at a downtown location and that was not a great experience and cancelled my reservation at that location. I then moved to a south side location which provided everything we needed. I would never book Uhaul services on line again. It's best to call the location directly. The on line option has a very poor program to interface with your clients. I will never the use online option going forward.
Rick P.This U-Haul corporate dealer located in Edmonton only served to the exchange the unsatisfactory truck issued to me for another unit. Although the people at the U-Haul corporate dealer were understanding, helpful and promptly exchanged the truck, there was no compensation offered for my inconvenience, expense and loss of time. The actual drop off location is located in Ladysmith B.C. The truck rental period according to the original rental contract was for 5 days from October 16th, 8:57am to October 20th, 8:57am. I returned this unit on October 20th, but was one hour and 23 minutes late returning the unit. In the end my credit card was charged a day late at $40/day and an additional $90 for a collision damage waiver on top of the original $90 collision damage waiver that I opted for. This whole experience with U-Haul is not acceptable, unfair and would not recommend it to other potential customers. It appears my returning of the unit one hour and twenty three minutes late was significant enough to cost me an additional $130 ( $40 + $90 ), but my loss of time and expense at pickup was not valued. In my opinion to be fair, the drop off time in Ladysmith should have been adjusted to reflect the pickup time at the corporate U-Haul location in Edmonton. Barry Nameth.

Storage unit door was a bit banged up and the weather stripping on the side of the doors would buckle and come out when trying to close the unit. Water (likely from big storms) leaked through the roof of the unit and damaged some boxes.

My father cut himself on a screw when we were unloading. And the access door to the building with the units was blocked by trailers, forcing us to unload our truck a significant distance away.

I booked a truck and storage 32 days in advance for my move from Winnipeg to Edmonton. 2 days before I'm supposed to pick up my truck I get a call that the location changed. It was 400 meters from where I work and that is the way I wanted it, they moved it 6km away, not a huge deal , until they called me the day before I'm picking up the truck and moved it to Winnipeg beach, 80km away! 160km round trip !! They did discount the truck but to me that did not matter, I had to scramble like crazy to get this done and I'm moving 1300km. Did not need that stress but I got it done. So now when I get to Edmonton where my locker was booked more then a month in advance, they don't have my locker. They gave me a smaller one and said I have to be out in 3 weeks because someone has it booked.. where was mine ? Now this is where it gets really good. Could not fit all my stuff in there , had a $400 bookcase stolen . Found that out when I went to load with my movers . Now my storage is blocked by one of thier trailers, the woman working said I should have phoned first before moving my stuff !! It's my stuff way should I have to give notice? She was rude , running around like she had no idea what she was doing. She cost me an extra hour of move time because they had to walk my stuff an extra 40 feet because she couldn't move the trailer for me . Rudest person I've ever delt with anywhere. She cost me $180 because of her disorganization. Just so rude and ignorant. She doesn't deserve that position, I'd be fired if I did my job the way she did. Walking around hollering at people. Worst experience ever and I've done this move 5 times now. This one I will never forget. Do not ever go to uhaul, South side Edmonton, 51 ave . Be warned now .

Maybe an offer for checking out early on a paid would be a courtesy This form should have a comment area under each question .... was the faculty clean. Not so much - run down is more like it. Clean ish. What do you mean by clean? The staff was super good. Great people.
