JOHN MOverall experience with uhaul was pretty confusing. Explanations of pricing needed to be provided in detail before pick up. Too many people called and told me different prices and it really set me back on time as well as causing anxiety. I'm in a really tough time and needed to know every detail of pricing and it would've been nice to see mileage pricing before on my reservation before showing up or have the staff member explain that over the phone. I understand this fee is going to change based off mileage but I was not made aware of that. I spoke with a lady over the phone and it almost seemed as if she just expected me to know that. (This is my first time using Uhaul) The staff at this location was nice but the overall process needs improvement. Especially communication. There's a very low chance I'll ever use uhaul again. Staff is there to do their job but if the company doesn't train employees to communicate better then they probably won't communicate important things and just assume the customer knows.

Christina, the GM and owner, on the other hand… she is a very unpleasant person to her staff and not friendly to her customers. I understand that you get busy but I was at this location two times today and both times she appeared to be in a horrible mood. I wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible because of her negative energy.

STEVEN BCustomer service was terrible, Ms. Cristina provided poor customer service. I was charged extra to drop off a tow dolly that was already prepaid for. She stated she would call me or provide a drop off location but the contact info provided was inaccurate. The contact location never replied to email nor did they answer when I called 4 xs . When I called Ms. Cristina back she provided information that was not discussed which pissed me off. She stayed there was a location drop off provided upon doing the contract when it was left open. I'm very dissatisfied with customer service.
Summer YOnly problem we had was a hold up for verification to some phone number that had us on hold for 30 min that turned out to be an issue not related to anything we had done and was just given a phone number and told "we can't rent to you call this phone number "

Brian JI had the unfortunate experience of trying to reserve a trailer rental online on a day when the UHaul reservation system was broken. Waited in line at this store as the staff helped several customers ahead of me who also couldn't make an online reservation. Staff was courteous while dealing with the broken system. They maintained their cool and eventually I was able to complete the rental agreement in spite of the uHaul system failure.

Reyna WI asked for and received confirmation for an appliance dolly 4 days in advance of my rental date. When I got there, they told me that they had no dolly available and that there was an inventory shortage of this item. They should tell the truth at the time of inquiry that they have none and do not plan on having any anytime soon.
Jerry TThe U-box was almost shipped two days early upon initial departure. I mentioned several times in-person the day to ship out the box from the online reservation. Luckily, the front office called me to confirm again and everything was shipped out on time. Upon arrival, the U-Box was emptied the same day and a worker at the location instructed me no further action was required. Three weeks later, my reservation was still on the mobile app as storage for some reason. I notified the front office and they closed out the order. Your box was sitting empty for three weeks!

Kingsley W | Expérience généraleI rented a box truck until 6 O'clock pm and saw that I was going to be late so I called to see if I could a grace period which I did until 7 O'clock pm, I was there before 6:45pm. When I went inside for final billing I didn't realize that they had charged me for twice the rental rate. I will see if they can reimburse the card or credit me a free rental.

Miguel SThe 6x12' trailer was old with eyelets on the floor with none on the sides to rachet down the load, which shifted during the trip. What really upset me was the the U-haul service man that connected the trailer only checked the turn signals and brake lights. He did not confirm that the trailer lights worked which, after driving 10 hours, I found out that they did not and had to quickly find a hotel at sundown in West Texas. I request a partial refund for this equipment.

James SThe truck's interior was extremely dirty, and despite having reserved it in advance, it was quite old. Furthermore, there was a very unpleasant odor of human excrement inside the cargo area. This was my worst experience out of more than ten rentals with U-Haul.

MICHELLE BI was supposed to pick up my truck at the 25222 Aldine Westfield Rd. at 10:00 am on Saturday. They were supposed to open at 10:00 and I told them I would be there at 10:00. It got to be 10:15 and the door was still locked. I called and spoke with 3 different people and then I had to drive to the location on Spring Cypress Rd. which was out of my way. Finally by 11:00 I left there. I'm now and hour behind and I missed an event that I was supposed to be at because of this delay and the guys I hired to help were waiting. When I returned the truck the lady was very nice and gave me a discount which I was happy with. I'm still upset that I missed my event though! I would definitely close the location at 25222 Aldine Westfield Rd., Spring, Texas as they were not open when they were supposed to be. The sign on the door says they open at 10:00!! They are giving uhaul a bad name!!

Why would I want a storage room I had to carry boxes up a flight of stairs to access? They never mentioned that little detail, so I had to cancel that location and find another. THEN, the office failed to cancel that contract, went ahead and charged me for the room, and tried to bill me again the following month. I would - at the very least - avoid the Spring Cypress location. It's all been resolved, but that is not customer-centric service to me.

They waived my late fees for me multiple times when I talked to the manager as long as I wasn't too many days late I would call the first or second day at the least ahead of time to let them know and the worked with me. On my last day I called them and told them I was going to be moving out of the unit and I didn't have to pay a dime to get my stuff out on the day my payment was due they just told me to have the unit cleared before the office closed at 8pm. Overall a good storage facility with friendly employees!

Bringing this up with the local managers was met with mocking and derision while higher management I reached out to in the company refused to even respond.

My personal effects were kept safe and secure, which is also extremely important. The only complaint would be the darkness inside the storage unit itself - no light bulb! And the unit was upstairs, which made it more difficult and strenuous to move things around. Also, we came back on our third trip shortly after 8pm and couldn't get inside the storage building because it was locked. Wasted trip! But I was overall satisfied with the service I received at uHaul!

The next day I checked with Uhaul front desk person stated that an employee mistakenly removed the WRONG lock. I was NEVER notified that my lock had been removed & replaced with another lock. My account was always paid timely in advance. I had to wait in line for another front desk employee who was supposedly "in charge" to provide me with the new keys so I could access my storage. Access was received that day. I decided a week later to remove ALL my items. Anyone paying correctly for service should receive excellent service.

I asked the UHaul rep at the front desk and she inquired and found that the lock had been replaced. I was never notified of this change so I was nervous that items might be missing. As it turns out, no items were missing. But had I gone to my unit at a tome when the front desk personnel had not been at work, I would not have been able to access my unit. They gave me no explanation as to why the UHaul lock I had purchased and placed on my unit had been replaced by another Uhaul lock. Bad fail for customer service.

What made the experience poor was at checkout when i asked the young lady for printed receipts. She told me i had to go online for that. Since i dont have a printer i asked two more times if there was anyway possible for her to print them. She finally gave in when another employee stood behind her listening to me beg for receipts. I know printing a customers receipts should not have been difficult and truly believe she just wanted to give me a hard time for no reason at all. When leaving i noticed she only printed 4 out of 7 charges. So i called the facility and was told they would reprint them for me. When i returned to the office she was outside waiting for me & handed them to me in the parking lot. I assume she had been reprimanded for the poor customer service and was trying to make up for it. Anyway, it never should have happened. She should have been willing from the get go to help the customer. I hope she learned a lesson.

Cassundra O | Expérience généraleThe only complaint I really have is that you just kept going up on the rent every year when I put my things in there in 2015 I was paying 130 and I had to stop it because had gone up to 160 and was still raising the rent and as a result of lost everything I did. pandora p | Expérience généraleI went to UHaul in order to rent one storage unit. The gentleman who assisted me stated he didn't usually help with storage units. Additionally, the computer seemed to be causing some issues. The process to get me into the computer took a while. About a month later, I received a call asking if I had moved out of one of my storage units. I explained that I only rented one unit and didn't know what the reference to a second unit was about. The person who I spoke with on the phone stated I must have accidentally been put in two units and stated they would take care of it. I then received an email reminding me about payment for the second unit. I called again and was told I would be removed from the second unit. I hope I have been removed from the second unit.

All the females were rude EXCEPT Christina . The guy that works there that's ex military has better customer service than most of you . LaQuinta gave me the wrong unit and never moved me nor apologized . I had to use a friends storage for the rest of my stuff . I told her I had a 2/2 apartment and she gave me a small unit for a one bedroom or a studio.. Ridiculous. Upon moving out , it was like pulling teeth to have someone open the door to the storage . My movers and I had to wait until it was convenient for "Ms. Thing" to finally come unlock the door. When she got there she was rude, over talked me and insulted my intelligence... I bc have zero tolerance for all of this . I don't care that she is the young one out the group. She needs to learn how to respect her elders before someone teaches her off the premises without cameras . She can and will disrespect the wrong person one day and WILL have to reap the consequences. So glad I don't need storage again and if I ever do , it surely won't be with Uhaul at ANY location . Your people ruined it for me .
