The floor mat/engine shroud mat was obstructing the gas pedal. It came out its grommet and made it almost impossible to operate the pedal. I had to pull over asap after leaving your facility to reinstall them back into the grommet correctly. Also windshield center and passenger side was dirty

There was rat droppings on all of my belongings there were only a few items that I was able to take out of storage because the majority of my belongings was covered in rat droppings. This facility is disgusting and will never recommend this facility.

The truck was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. Check in and check out were smooth and easy. We rent this truck to deliver Christmas boxes from our church in Branford to another church in Trumbull and this made the process so easy. We thank everyone that helped!!!

The individual U-Haul stores and facilities were not at all the problem - they were all lovely. The problem I have is with corporate and with customer service. From start to finish, this interaction has been a nightmare. The delivery of the boxes was delayed, then the boxes were delivered to the new location early and I was not notified, they moved the payment dates up and I was not notified, they charged me another month's rent regardless of the fact that I had the boxes for less than one month, they charged me double for moving and refused to refund the remaining balance, they said someone would follow up with me in 72 hours - I followed up after 120 hours of not hearing from them. If you're wanting to be scammed I would say this is a great option. If you like feeling upset, anxious, angry, and taken advantage of I'd say you should look into this. If you like being ignored, talked over, placed on hold, transferred, and then never followed up with you should give customer service a call - they're genuinely not doing anything. In short, worst experience I have every had and will absolutely never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever use U-Haul ever again. Ever. The worst. Genuinely, cannot overstate how bad this has been. Every part of it has been hot garbage.

My UHaul was requested for 8am when I made my reservation, but it was not available until 2pm. I had a very long drive to my drop off location, and this delayed my move by a full day.

Sadly my Viki flat screen TV was stolen from my unit which I kept locked. I paid for insurance for nothing, because in order for theft to be covered there needs to be "physical signs of break in" but unfortunately I don't see any physical signs of break in. I am disappointed that someone stole one of my possessions. The tv remote was still there when it came time to move out, but my tv was gone and there's absolutely no other explanation than that it was stolen.

I'm STILL waiting for call back because I was charged for month I didn't have unit and I have damaged boxes because the UBox door broke at location and I don't have the information to put the claim in. I call and email and no reply yet.

I will tell all my friends and anyone that I will listen, how dirty and rat and mice infested this facility was!! I lost half of my personal belongings from a 8 x 10 unit!! That was a lot of my stuff and!! Told management about it, there comments were file a complaint and after a year I might hear something back!! Never again and very discussed, you people should be shut down!!!!!!!

I didn't know I was supposed to provide my own padlock and wasn't able to lock my unit when I moved in after hours. The website was also down when I went to return my uhaul van and I could not contact customer service.

To have to spend an hour trying to get through to customer service on the other hone and to be charged for an extra month and not be able to resolve that online, not happy. I moved into my storage until at the end of the month. Within 2 weeks, I was continuously emailed and sent notices of being behind in payment and threatened to be locked out of my unit. It was still not time for my 1st payment. The system had me documented as being in the wrong unit and wrong size. I was told this was updated. I continued to receive late payment notices. Then I was locked out of my unit. This all happened before my 1st payment was even due. I returned to the state st location a 3rd time for my account to be fixed. They did my contract all over to make sure everything updated. Being locked out of my unit is unacceptable and not a great experience. Currently looking for a new storage location.

Mice ate a bunch of stuff in my storage. Often there were people in the space working on cars and motorcycles. Often it smelled as though people were smoking weed in the space.

There are clearly a bunch of mice in the facility, and there rat droppings on my stuff. If there was any food in there it would've been a lot worse. Access is relatively easy, but there is a security issue just by the nature of the location. I would be sure to make sure the unit it locked even during unloading.

Have the bed at least swept out and previous customers crap (shoes) removed from the cab. The truck seems to be well maintained and the actual milage is a hell of a lot better than the dash estimate.

The people there were great but I was charged for fuel which I filled it back up to where it was and there's no reason to charge me for fuel. I rented three trucks within the week and none of them were full so I know it's a little game that gets played with the fuel. I will look elsewhere to rent from if I get unnecessary charges like this.

I ordered 3 containers, but it turns out we only needed 2. That was no problem as U-Haul took the unused one back. The service was excellent and everything arrived safely and on time. The U-Haul staff was friendly, professional, and respectful. I give them my highest recommendation.

As I observed the truck it was dusty, ring stains on the dash and cup holders. An empty soda bottle on the floor inside a red box that is in the middle of the seats. The low tire indicator was on also low oil indicator light was on.

Showed up 10 minutes before my reservation tone and was told they mistakenly rented the last one. Had to go home and wait 2 hours for a call that a truck was there. What was the point of reserving prior to the date it's needed? Waste of time. Was offered a pickup truck. Terrible.

We arrived letting them know we had trouble with the truck and they recommended we go home and unload the truck before coming back. Turns out it was the power steering fluid which the technician said they could have easily filled up when we stopped.

Over the course of 11 months, the unit flooded 3 times (forcing us to move everything from one unit to another ourselves), caused thousands of dollars in damages, and there were 6 mice in the unit when we checked out. Terrible experience.

Checkin through phone was too long (especially in soliciting multiple contacts who needed to be called right then before truck could be used). No furniture dolly or pads in the truck as ordered. Had to wait in line for those after all.

Make sure trucks are cleaned and in proper working order. As the largest, best-known vehicle rental company in the U.S., a customer should expect a quality product. And when there are issues with quality, the customer should receive immediate and unwavering confidence that they will get the best product. The pickup location was found by me to be lacking But other facets of my UHaul experience were very pleasant, in fact, enjoyable. And, in the end, my comments and concerns were met with helpful words and understanding. I am very grateful for UHaul's prompt response to my issues. I must say Thank You, for that.

Arrived at 7 AM Saturday morning to pick up truck. The location was to open at 7AM. The person arrived at 8:20 AM. Totally unacceptable. I had people at my house at 8AM waiting for me to move. I didn't get back till 9:15 and paying people to wait. The worst customer service. I will never go to or recommend this location again. I would expect some sort of discount for my inconvenience.

This contract was a nightmare, it was supposed to be 90 days maximum. My daughter was supposed to pay the thing while I was away, when I returned the price was so out of control that I allowed them to take the item this was over a year ago. Now all of a sudden finally they have taken the items but they sent me a bill for over 3 000 $trying to get me to believe that I was liable for it. Never will I recommend this particular facility to anyone.

There is a dead mouse next to my unit and it appears there are mouse droppings in the unit. I noticed there are also a lot of mouse traps so it seems like there might be a rodent problem.

When we got to the location, it was not clear how to enter. There was not a clear way to get into the garage part other than asking the attendants to open it for us. Once we got to the storage unit itself, it had a tag on it that said "ready for new customer" but it also had a lock on it. So we had to get the attendants a second time to take the lock off for us. They were all extremely courteous and professional. I had to ask one to put his mask on up over his mouth and nose. He did so without hesitation after I asked.

My first experience wasn't pleasant as by the end of it, I was double billed for everything, they didn't check whether I used the troll in the truck or not, and when they corrected the bill they did it wrong, and when I told the staff she was irritated instead of apologizing even though I was truly very kind and respectful as I know that such thing happen. We all do mistakes. The second experience was much better despite that the system gave the employee such a hard time to book the storage unit for me, but the staff was very kind and helpful and truly helped in the best to their power. (I appreciate the team at state street location)
