My uhaul broke down, I'm unimpressed with the service and considering nothing was done for me despite having to wait an hour for the vehicle to be fixed I'll be sure to share this information with everyone I know.

The automated check in and vehicle inspection didn't work on my phone, none of the pictures I was trying to upload would go (despite being on the uHaul wifi). The woman at the counter asked an employee named Frank to do a manual inspection. He made me feel very stupid for not being able to find the vehicle ID number on the back bumper "see, it's right there!!" while pointing to a truck behind me that actually had a number on its bumper, as opposed to the truck I was looking at that didn't have a number. He also didn't think I would be charged for the small scratch I found on the front of the pickup, and when I insisted I get that written down just in case, he said "ok FINE" with attitude, resentfully smacked a sticker down on top of it and stomped away saying "GEEZ", without helping me complete the rest of the inspection. When there was an issue with the mileage of the vehicle being incorrect, again I tried to take a picture and again it failed, so I went back in to the office to see if the wifi strength would increase and send the picture. It didn't, so I asked the front desk woman for help AGAIN, because at that point I'd been trying to check out this truck FOR 50 MINUTES. She said "wasn't Frank helping you?" I told her he got angry and left halfway through the inspection, so she got someone else to help me. After A FULL HOUR I was finally underway. I ALMOST didn't make my elevator reservation time for my move because of the delay. When I got back, staff tried to charge me for 39.7 MILES at $0.79 per mile instead of 39.7 KILOMETERS at $0.49 per km. It took a full half hour to sort that out as well. I can forgive the rudeness/grumpiness of your staff because I'm sure you provide shitty working conditions at minimum wage, but your check-in process needs to be fixed and over-charging people for miles instead of kilometers and hoping they won't notice is NOT COOL. I wonder how many other people you overcharged that day and didn't notice? It's quite the racket you have going!

There was an explained charge on my credit card for $44.58. This charge was not list on the invoice. This kind of dishonest practice does not reflect well on U-Haul as a company. Unfortunately I think a lack or organization amd clarity on the part of the branch staff is to blame.

I won't recommend U-Haul to anyone in my circle. I have moved from one city to another and my drop off location was selected as per my choice on the day when I took the truck rental. When I went to Phantom Tires in Surrey to return back the truck they said they cannot take back my truck as they do not have space but the yard was empty and the store owner was playing playstation and was talking to me while playing which was so unprofessional. I called customer care where the agent told me to go to another location and no help was provided by the agent. I have given another location to return the equipment where I went and again they told me to return to a different location, went to third location and they told me they also do not have space. Lastly, I called again to customer service where the agent who was a scheduling representative was so rude to me that instead of empathy just started saying go to King George location. I again went to King George location and then my truck was retuned.

Unfortunately, I had to keep the van for extended time and didn't return it at the time I was supposed to. Next morning I called around 10 to inform Uhaul that I will be returning the equipment today but I was put on hold for a long time and I eventually had to hang up as I want to finish the moving. An hour later I received a call from Uhaul enquiring about the equipment return and I explained that my apologies I wasn't able to finish moving yesterday and that I will bring the equipment back by 4 pm. The person I spoke with wasn't pleasant in his or her tone and quiet rudely said “ you have to pay extra as we had to bump up another family looking for the van so it's going to be $50 plus rental fee for another day” I agreed and said I am fine with that, however, a little later I was driving by the location and saw at least 7 vans sitting in the lot so I think it's was not true that due to my non-compliance of returning the equipment on time Uhaul had to bump someone so penalizing me for paying extra $50 was justified. Nonetheless, I paid was I was asked to pay but my treatment wasn't really professional. I don't know if my feedback will be taken into account and improve customer service or it will end up in junk box I am more inclining to believe to the latter. Best wishes.

I asked for 48 hours. Didn't notice he only put 24 hours. Got a call to return truck by midnight. Still got charged for 48 hrs for their mistake. They made our move so much harder because the next day when we should have had the truck we were using our family van.

The only issue I had was trying to keep the light on in the back while I was loading because it was dark it was hard to see it would go on but then go off. Also the windows weren't powered and either were the locks maybe an update on those two things would be a little bit easier but either than that everything worked great.

Perhaps start by bring the truck to me and not have me go search your lot for it. Same goes for the handcart I rented. Had me search all over the lot just to find out you rented them all. Customer service is an actual thing. You all should try it sometime. I will definitely spread the word of your lack of care towards your paying customers.

U haul service is very poor. I had very bad experience. I rented 2 times u haul and it cut73$ an 67$ 1st time and 59 $ in 2nd time. When I got information about 2nd rent they said by mistake they add another customer rent added in my account. But they have no clue about my first payments . It was very bad service

One of the worst experience I have ever had terrible experience that frustrated me beyond imagination. Ihad to change vehicles twice at pick up because the huge difference in mileage reading from the car's odometer and the paper. At the time of return, an untrained agent tried to over charge me, went through so much hassle that I had to reach to front desk to intervene and finalize my return. This experience also ruined my Friday evening, such experience is worse than I can explain. Please TRAIN your employees so this doesn't happen to anyone

Every other time I rented a uhaul, a representative usually walks out with you and inspects the vehicle with you but this location did not. They just handed us the key and let us struggle to find our own van in their big lot of trucks/vans. When we had troubles locating it, they just told us the number was in front on the van instead of actually assisting us. They gave us the wrong van the first time too which had over 4000 more kms than the one we were suppose to have. When we brought it to their attention, they told me they would refund me back the different. 4000 kms x 0.49 cent per km is almost $2000. As we were about to leave, a representative finally came out and switched us to the correct van. A lot of time was wasted having us run around unnecessarily.

The employee by the name Sunny and emberly were very rude. They charged me extra when I asked them to explain it to me they kept on lying . I have recorded the whole conversation, the employee Sunny who claimed to be the site manager was extra rude and unprofessional. I am going to lodge the complaint to the Uhaul head quarters.

If equipment is “first come first serve” don't ask me if I want equipment when I book the uhaul truck a month in advance, and when I show up to the appointment anticipating that I will get the equipment I initially reserved, the useless staff tell me the equipment is “first come first serve” and oops, sorry for the inconvenience. How does that make sense? THIS WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR ME.

The storage locker leaked with some water damage to stored items. I expected little from Uhaul but was annoyed that I got less. Not even a condolences call from management. No acknowledment of liability I guess.

The manager charged me for damage that i did not cause. I was asked to do a walk around the vehicle and that they wouldn't accompany me because of covid rules. When i brought the vehicle back the manage went straight to climbing up on the back of the cargo van which fairly high and said the roof has a scuff and would be charging me $400. I said i never went any where that has under ground and only had the vehicle for 2 hours and drove it roughly 35 km. He said the you signed the contract that the vehicle was not damaged. I told i did do thr walk around but was not asked or given a ladder so i would be able see the roof.

Why is it that I was able I reserve a storage unit online and had everything setup ready for a specific move-in date only to learn from the location staff that my reservation is not guaranteed and it's still first come-first serve basis which made me panic to rush down to the location to pay-in advanced just to hold my unit ahead of the date that I actually need to start the rental on. It feels very much like I got scammed.

When I first opened the storage their was a transition in management. The alarm system was due for an upgrade it kept going off after hours even when i had 24h access. The management seems to change over often doesn't make U-Haul look very good to us renters. Upon me moving out i purchased boxes I had to park near King George as the workers had all their trucks parked In front of the main doors and visitor parking. I was struggling carrying the boxes out to my car and the 2 employee's standing talking one on their phone in front of the door backed out of my way rather than offering to help me. Then on moving out day again the trucks were parked in front of the loading doors. I asked if he could move the truck he said no not really and their was 3 empty spots for the truck. Over all U-Haul would be a great company if the staff was trained better and monitored.

i lost my keys and was told i could gain access to the locker myself by bolt cutters, grinder or locksmith. i had tools so i chose that option. ended up causing a little damage to the door and they charged me almost 1000.00 to replace the door and did not accept any responsibility for the employee that told me i was able to cut the lock myself by sharing the cost of the replacement or anything. they are extremely rude men that work there and have horrible customer service and people skills.

The facility was maintained and clean however parking there was absolutely horrendous. They had way too many trucks parking around with rarely any parking spots open for our regular cars when we needed something from our storage units. Upon move out tbe staff was absolutely terrible and rude. We had 4 storage months for about a year paying over $400 a month for the units and when we went to move out the staff kept being rude to us because we we had our truck parked in front so we could load. Obviously moving out 4 units takes time. They kept rushing our moving guys and kept being rude during the entire process. Very poor customer service there.
