The whole scratch situation with X stickers marking pre existing dents is just crazy. Standing in the pouring rain looking for stickers on a truck is stupid. I cannot believe this is actually a system. The rest of the process is mediocre but I'm baffled by that step. How can you improve? Get rid of it! The employees are nice and friendly. And drop off was quick and efficient.

Been renting from uhaul for a long time. Needed a cargo van as mine broke down. Did a long term rental as my new van had some delays in arriving. I kept in constant contact with extensions. They are impossible to get a hold of on the phone but still I waited on hold every week. This last week I was busy with work and couldn't wait on hold forever. They didn't get a hold of us for one day and then sent me an email demanding we return the vehicle and that they had reported it stolen. That is ridiculous. They have lost my business as I brought this up with management and they brushed it off just demanding we clear the bill. Very disappointing...

I think the online self service is really good. You really don't need to interact with staff and it's up to you how the experience goes. I had issues taking the truck out since the spce seems very limited. That's my only observation. Very crowded lot but I love the service.

I had a 26' truck with a guaranteed reservation and it was not available on the day of my move . After doing my paperwork for a smaller truck I had to wait 20mins before I was able to get my truck . The truck smelt like smoke

There were customers parked all over the parking lot, and no signs saying that you shouldn't park there or that there was customer parking at the back of the parking lot, so I parked by the front. When I dropped the truck off at 11pm my car was blocked in by u-haul trucks parked in the aisle. I tried calling but was told an hour later that there was nothing they could do. And when I came back in the morning they told me it was my fault and that if you don't park in the visitor parking you are going to get blocked. They didn't care that I had been stranded alone in the middle of the night and made no effort to stop other cars from doing the same thing.

You could use some help upon rental return. The person on the lot was going crazy and driving everyone else crazy. Average wait time outside at the check in was 2 hours. It was too much for him to handle. Other then that, service was great!

Unable to login to uHaul.com while picking up and dropping off truck. Arrived 1 hour early for truck return, but took 1.5 hours to verify return. Caused alot of stress! Passenger door falling off. Poor verbal direction from staff on site.

I was on hold for almost an hour trying to get a hold of someone so I could let them know I would be running late. When I had arrived I didn't receive the TV cover I had requested in my online request. When I returned the vehicle I parked it in the lot and the attendant then told me to move it under the tent. You should have more clear instructions. If as a company you know you'll be busy over the weekend maybe you should hire more staff to accommodate your customers.The customer service was VERY POOR and I will not be recommending your company to anyone that I know.

The staff were fine to deal with. I was not happy with head office. I had a 20 foot truck lined up for 2 months at the Coquitlam location. I checked my account page for an earlier date as circumstances had changed. I did not ask for a change. I was only checking for availability. Somehow my order was cancelled and I had to rebook. Things did not go well. Not happy.

I rented the uhaul on October 31st; a day that most people move in and out. I arrived just before 9am - my reservation time. I waited for 30 minutes in line to pick up the truck. There were 3 staff checking in reservations; should be more staff on month end days to avoid long waits and the queue just kept getting longer. Also, the truck i had rented had a flat tire so we had to switch to another truck that didn't have a dolly which I had paid for.

When someone is picking up after hours, the location of the vehicle should be accurate. Once a customer finally locates the vehicle that vehicle should not be blocked in with no way out by another vehicle. A total gong show for pick up. Made me extremely late for my move.

Online booking saves time. The return process needs work. Vehicles lined up on the street. Every vehicle is inspected and cleaned while everyone else is waiting in line. Needs a more efficient system.

Surrey Uhaul on King George has the worst customer service support. I was made to feel like a wimpy child because of an error in truck size reservation. I have shared my experience to many people who also said Uhaul provides poor service at that location. Your company won't do anything about my experience, I know that but you asked for a survey. I should have gone on social media to share my horrid experience on Oct 30th with the staff there. Anyway, shame on the manager there who she had to call and her for making me feel so embarrassed and stupid during an extremely stressful move that I was doing. It was awful, did you figure that out yet?

There was one representative helping a whole line up of customers, approximately 10. She kept jumping ahead and helping customers out of sequence and helping others that had gotten there after me. I spent an hour there before I was helped. She was not informative at all in going over the invoice because she was rushing thru. I had to back out the truck myself which was very tightly parked, and when I finally got the truck and no one had take the time to show me how to use the truck which was not cleaned at all. I have already told others that this location is very unorganized, unprofessional and to avoid at all costs. Would not do business with this location ever again.

The inside of the truck was dirty. It had dried pop on the steering wheel. During a global pandemic, I expect the truck to be spotless and the inside of the truck to be proper sanitized. The app to pick up and drop off without out speaking with someone is absolutely terrible. The app does not work at all. I spent over 2 hours trying to get the app to work. This was a huge was of my money. The tires on the truck were borderline and extremely unsafe. This is be the last time I use uhaul if this is how they handle their customers.

The yard on King George Blvd is pretty cramped. But really the only complaint I have is my reservation being moved from Langley to King George Highway Surrey. Close to an hour out of the way each way. Moving is a tight schedule. It didn't help. Neil

Make sure that if a customer has forgotten something in the rental or something is discovered after drop off because the staff is responsible for checking the returns for such and to make sure it is clean for next customer, that you contact the person soon as it is found or the next rent doesn't take and keep it. The only thing that was not satisfying is I lost three tools in the rental truck to the next renter because the staff said it was not turned in and it cost 37 dollars for the pliers and 27 dollars for the 2 screwdrivers all just bought the day of my rental .

Why is it that I was able I reserve a storage unit online and had everything setup ready for a specific move-in date only to learn from the location staff that my reservation is not guaranteed and it's still first come-first serve basis which made me panic to rush down to the location to pay-in advanced just to hold my unit ahead of the date that I actually need to start the rental on. It feels very much like I got scammed.

Your review does not allow for general comments that I will include here: I booked a truck for pickup in Port Moody 4-5 weeks prior to my scheduled date. I was VERY disappointed that I had to travel to Surrey to pick up the truck. I understand Uhaul's perspective. Does Uhaul understand the customer's perspective?????? Why not just move the truck to where it is needed? I don't expect to move again but because of that experience I would look at options next time. This was very inconvenient for me!

We originally reserved a truck close to home. Email confirmation said it was a 24/7 reservation and we were good to go at 0930. The morning of our rental I discovered the shop doesnt open until 11am and we could not pick up until then. I sat on hold for 45 minutes and no one ever picked up. Finally used the chat option and got ahold of someone. We were given the option to pick up a truck 45 minutes away, and my husband had to wait in line for 45 minutes once he got there to get the truck. The whole experience was ridiculous and we will not be reserving with uhaul again.

The guy who helped me out (don't remember his name) didn't show me how to use the equipment, barely answered my questions and seemed more interested in goofing around with his friends on site than helping me out. Maybe he takes for granted that people know how to use uhaul equipment but I have never used such equipment before. When I asked how to hookup my car to the auto transport he barely explained anything, kind of fiddled around with it (I don't know what he was doing, nothing was happening) and then told me to look it up on youtube. Wouldn't recommend this location, that's for sure.

Have to equipment the customers order ready for use and on time! When a customer orders a certain size vehicle it should be ready and available. If that can not happen your company should call the client immediately and make arrangements for compensation. Very disappointed!! I will try to never you this service again!!

Worst experience I ever have, not only on renting cars, on all services I ever got. We wait for almost a hour to get someone help us and the staff is apparently have zero experience, keep asking same questions again and again. Then, why we need to do the online check in? The car top touched a hanging sign board and we checked just some dirt over the top, not a big damage, but was charged for 400 dollars! The staff keeps saying it's a huge damages, but telling us the damage waiver we bought doesn't cover this! Crazy!

When I first opened the storage their was a transition in management. The alarm system was due for an upgrade it kept going off after hours even when i had 24h access. The management seems to change over often doesn't make U-Haul look very good to us renters. Upon me moving out i purchased boxes I had to park near King George as the workers had all their trucks parked In front of the main doors and visitor parking. I was struggling carrying the boxes out to my car and the 2 employee's standing talking one on their phone in front of the door backed out of my way rather than offering to help me. Then on moving out day again the trucks were parked in front of the loading doors. I asked if he could move the truck he said no not really and their was 3 empty spots for the truck. Over all U-Haul would be a great company if the staff was trained better and monitored.

i lost my keys and was told i could gain access to the locker myself by bolt cutters, grinder or locksmith. i had tools so i chose that option. ended up causing a little damage to the door and they charged me almost 1000.00 to replace the door and did not accept any responsibility for the employee that told me i was able to cut the lock myself by sharing the cost of the replacement or anything. they are extremely rude men that work there and have horrible customer service and people skills.

The facility was maintained and clean however parking there was absolutely horrendous. They had way too many trucks parking around with rarely any parking spots open for our regular cars when we needed something from our storage units. Upon move out tbe staff was absolutely terrible and rude. We had 4 storage months for about a year paying over $400 a month for the units and when we went to move out the staff kept being rude to us because we we had our truck parked in front so we could load. Obviously moving out 4 units takes time. They kept rushing our moving guys and kept being rude during the entire process. Very poor customer service there.
