Speed up the process. Line was insanely slow. Confusing on returning items. Eventually was told to take the trailer to the back and unhook. After that stood in line 30 minutes to get receipt and the staff questioned why I hadn't had the unit inspected and checked in before dropping it. I explained that they had told me to do that. They were nice, but it further highlighted the confusion. The hoards of men standing outside to harass people into hiring them for help moving was off putting. Made my wife uncomfortable sitting in the truck. They should have an area to hang out. Not meandering the parking lot.Corey S.

Passenger side rear mirror was broken, literally held in place by a penny jammed in a crack. Driver side rear view mirror was also cracked. Cabin smelled like cigarette smoke, storage area smelled like it was used to transport humans. Awful experience all the way through.Andrew G.

The after hours check out process is too long for under-lit parking lot with too many strange people cutting through the property. The check out steps where not sequential, so I found myself going back and forth from the unlocked rental to the front of the building again and again (through the dark lot). The app should warn you to turn on and allow location tracking before starting the other steps. Once within the app, the other features don't connect after allowing tracking. Lastly, the QR scanner didn't work at all. I had to ask a friend to come to the lot so I could try with his phone. Overall too much of a hassle whe it was only $20 more to use the daily rental from enterprise/AvisJackie M.

There was nothing wrong with my experience picking up the truck at this location. However, I am leaving 2 stars because this was not the location I had requested in my reservation. It was not until the day before I needed the truck that this location was confirmed. This location was much farther away than I had budgeted time for which threw off my day. I have used several different moving truck companies before and have always been able to pick up a truck where requested. I won't use Uhaul again.Patrick H.
The online system did not notify me that reservations are canceled after 1 hour. The truck seemed to be in disrepair a service light came on and I kept getting a message to tighten the gas cap. I tried several times. That did not resolve the issue.Tiffiany J.

24/7 bar code wasn't working so had to check in at desk. That was quick. Next link sent to approve or dispute condition of rental didn't work, so had to report large scratch via text. Overall good rental.Kristin D.

This location is convenient but I was told a different price for extending beings though I wasn't sure if I could get it back on time. I was told no worries, it is hassle-free, just return it with the same amount of gas (which was almost empty when I picked it up).Contessa A.

Justice Arnold is rude and doesn't seem to like working there; was not informed until I got arrived that there were no appliance follies available - overheard that there also were no regular dollies available. There were about half a dozen available for sale at $60 - $70 each though. Truck screeched the entire way. The flimsy rubber tie holding the Dolly parked inside the truck was caught on my cart and broke. Will not be paying for a dolly that I did not use. Did not need roadside assistance.Chablis D.

Stop making customers walk to the back lot to find their truck amongst a sea of trucks. It is gravel parking lot and I most twisted my ankle twice. Very unsafe and not customer friendly. Someone should be pulling the trucks up front. Also had to drive back up front to pick up dolly and ended up getting trapped between several trucks and customers which delayed my time even further.NoraWood W.

I had a terrible experience using Uhaul for my recent move from Florida to Washington DC. Several things went bad. 1) Uhaul failed to bring a hand dolly when they dropped the container off in Florida. Somebody at Uhaul said they would put one in the box for me. They didn't, and I would have been totally screwed if my apartment complex hadn't had one they let me use. 2) Most of my belongings arrived undamaged, except my 55 inch television, which was heavily damaged on all sides. It almost looks like someone picked it up and threw it. I haven't any clue how this happened, as it was wrapped in a ton of furniture padding and secured in a tight spot in the container. Then, after I filed a claim for the TV, your claims adjuster promptly denied it. 3) Arrival in Washington DC was easily the worst part of the move. For some reason, the UHaul location (Takoma Park, MD) that was storing my box informed me that they "don't deliver to my area," which is only 14 miles away. They said I had to come get it myself or spend a few hundred more to have movers do it. I don't have a car, so obviously I couldn't go get it myself. Also, the lady at Takoma Park who told me they don't deliver here was generally rude and uncaring and dismissive. I must admit, I was stunned to learn that you wouldn't be delivering my stuff to my new apartment. At no time ever during the booking process does Uhaul ever mention that "we may not be able to deliver to your destination." Never says that anywhere. Nowhere. At. All. So to spring that kind of thing on a customer -- after they spent $1300 to get the damn container to their new apartment -- is the height of extremely bad taste. Rarely have I ever encountered a business that pulled a bait and switch as flagrantly and egregiously as Uhaul did in this situation. I ended up dealing with the manager at the UHaul in Takoma Park and she agreed to arrange delivery for my stuff -- for another $300. So the total bill was actually more than $1600. And I didn't get anything resembling my money's worth. So there's my UHaul experience. At no time anywhere along the way did Uhaul ever fail to charge me more money where they could justify it, deny me as much service as they could possibly get away with, refuse to deliver to my destination (which you never say is a possibility) or swiftly reject my claim for the destroyed TV. My experience was a 2 out of 10 -- and it should come as no surprise when I say I can't see myself ever using Uhaul again. This was a miserable experience.Doug W.

My hitch installation was delayed 2 days because I received a text a few days before about a rescheduling. I came in at the new time and was told that the text was not for the installation. Truck was on empty, they didn't have any of the dollys I requested, they were lazy slow and painfully took too long in both interactions I had with them. Further more the two man crew I rented through uhaul broke my tv, rushed the job, and barely finished the gig.Brian O.

For one, the website to pick up my uhaul didn't work. I had to go inside and get in line, wasting an hour of my rental time only to find that the dolly I rented a week in advance had already been rented out. The entire process took way too long and I was charged $100 for something that was supposed to be $19.95. In addition to this, something needs to be done about the men outside harassing people, they swarm your car when you pull in offering â€œmoving helpâ€ and follow you around the parking lot continuing to ask after you've said no. It makes it especially stressful when you're standing outside trying to check in and find your van and there are creepy men following you around and interrupting youTaylor H.
