Mechanically, some of the larger trucks need to be better maintained. I had to bring back a truck in exchange for another one, because there was a problem with the steering, plus the Check Engine light was on.

The office inside and the personnel staff were great. The only concern I have, the many non-UHaul personnel persons walking up to my car as I enter the lot, asking for work. Then some followed us to where we parked to go in the office, asking for work.

This is the worst Uhaul location I have ever visited located in the ghetto. The truck was given to us with 15 miles to empty. A $22 gas credit doesnt come near to making up for the fact that we had to try and find gas in the sketchy neighborhood with the huge truck. We have never been so frustrated with a check in process - took her 20 minutes to just check us in without anyone else there. The vehicle was absolutely filthy, coffee spilled in the cup holder the window was left open overnight in the rain, oil smeared on the window, smelled of air freshened garbage. It was literally a nightmare. DO NOT RENT HERE.

Overall terrible experience. Overcharged for mileage use, daily use, and that SafeMove insurance. Truck was dirty in the seating area and in the back storage area. I rented the truck on a Sunday and brung back the same day AND still was receiving calls the following Monday and Tuesday on when I would be bringing the truck back. Still dealing with corporate to get my money back because they said I went more miles than I actually did. Still waiting for pending charges to come off my bank account. Don't use this Takoma Park location. I have been using U-Haul for over 15 years and never dealt with an issue like this.

Manager was very helpful when I had misplaced the key to the vehicle when moving, he was very helpful on getting a replacement and providing us with another key until the other was found. Greatly appreciate his services and management skills cause this eased the stress when moving is already stressful along. Thanks!

I brought in a Nissan Rogue to be fitted for a 6 x 12 trailer, and it fit but the lighting was having an issue. Jonathan White diagnosed the issue really quickly as a faulty converter in the wiring. Uhaul installed my hitch frame and wiring 2 years prior in Orlando and he took a half hour out of his busy schedule (it was 8:30 am and he had an appt at 9am) to work on the wiring for me. Apparently the initial installation was fed through the battery and the wire wasn't strung tightly under the car and had worn to the point that the converter was faulty. So he redid the wiring and fed it through the tail lights instead. The wiring then worked correctly, and he didn't charge me anything for the labor since it was due to previous uhaul fault. He was a professional.

Checkout Lines were too long almost 30 minutes. Truck given me was box in couldn't get out had to wait for another 10 to swatch trucks. But the worst part was the receiving staff when I returned the truck. Very discourteous because I ask if payment could be may to a different card. Frequent renter at other locations. This was horrendous.

I took the extra time to make my reservation on the internet so that I could do a "mobile" pickup, but when I arrived at the location I was forced to stand in line and had to redo all of the same steps again. Despite going through the rental process a second time in-person, your agent had the temerity to say that maybe it was my phone or me that was the problem. Not exactly the best way to sympathize with an irritated customer.

Customer service overall could be improved. The person working behind the counter was excellent but another person there could have improved wait time. For retrieving and checking in returned equipment/vehicles, the location either needs more staff or more people actually working.

Efficiently and smoothly run. Customer service from check-in to check-out were all impressive because it went well and there was attention to detail and clear guidance . I noted how Management/supervisory staff Jengar and Alfonso were both supportive to staff. And to customers too. Good vibe in this store location ! I will return .

first, the staff were great and helpful. the only complaint i have is the service was REALLY slow. and we expected it to be slow, but there were times we were asked to wait and then forgotten about. so it felt a little disorganized as we were shuffled around a little bit and no clear communication on what we should do or how long to wait or what next steps were.

I reserved the truck and checked in with my phone. There was an issue getting location services active on my phone but we figured it out. If I didn't use my phone it would have been at least an hour wait to pick up the truck. Also, I ordered three furniture dollys and they only had one

The employees are friendly and was very helpful. The Manager was very accommodating in making my move go as smooth as possible. I had planned to use the van for 1 day, however it turned out that I needed to extend my reservations. The Manager made sure everything was taken care of and I was able to complete my move on schedule
