I would like to specifically call out Larry and Beth (or Maryanne - I apologize for not being 100 percent; Larry can please confirm who should get credit for their customer service actions. I had rented from another location online who just lied as to what they had available and when and the evening before decided to switch. The agent on the phone was nice but in a hurry to get off the phone with me. I had to then call the Tallmadge location and I reached Larry. He was so kind, helpful and understanding. He explained what they could and could not do but in a respectful way. But the really appreciation was that he and Beth (Maryanne) called back!! Yes they called back and took the time to update me on a change and what to expect. They did not have to do that yet they went the extra mile to be kind and help me further. I will again drive a little further to rent from this location rather than the one closer to me. So you want to know what you can do to improve... allow Larry and Beth to be trainers and train others across the U-Haul organization! I truly hope Larry and Beth get credit for what they do.

I reserved the U-Haul for the Kent location they made me pick up in tallmadge I said I wanted to drop off in Kent and they made me drop off in tallmadge then charging me for extra miles after I did not want to use the tallmadge location the Kent location is a block from my house !

I was told by the worker I would receive a refrigerator dolly because he was “out of regular dolley's”. Then as we walk out, he sees a regular dolly, and then gives me it. No problem. The problem came when I got the bill and I revived a charge for an appliance dolley I never used, or was given.

I reserved a uhaul 8 days in advance only to be told the day before moving that I would have to go to cleveland to pick one up and not even the size I reserved..tallmadge where I reserved it was 5 minutes from my house to pick up...not driving a hour to get a uhaul when I rerved one down the road...and customer service was brutally rude.i had to settle for a 10 ft truck when o ordered a 15 dy truck..needless to say I had to make extra trips ...absolutely unacceptable...especially when they said they tried to call me the day before when they had a phone number on file that i never heard of in my life

They gave really great service they were really nice and the storage facility is very clean and well maintained except something is wrong with the garage bay doors so you have to park outside in Caddy your stuff in with a dolly

Not well lit, not enough signage or information about rules. I used the unit 3 times to bring furniture in and out and used side doors closet to my unit not bay doors. I was there for 2-3 hours each time with commercial moving companies. No one ever said I could not use the side doors that were unlocked with no signage. When I was ready to move out completely the doors were pad locked. I asked why. The manager accused me of breaking into unlocked doors and putting units at risk. She yelled at me and was completely rude. Customer service is poor and slow . Your location should take responsibility for lack or locking your own doors , putting up signs that say emergency exit only or signs that say specific doors can not be used. I am not a thief and do not appreciate the service I received and will never use Uhaul again.

I called this morning, and Danielle was busier than a one-armed wallpaper hanger, but was very personable on the phone. She was able to accommodate my last minute request and I was on my way in no time flat. Returning the equipment was easy peasy, too! I will definitely be back whenever I need a rental!

Bay door doesn't always open up on arrival as it is supposed to. Manager is not the friendliest of people to deal with. All other workers have been nice. One time someone's unit was open and their things were spread across the main hall so you couldn't get through. No one seemed to be doing anything about it.

Dannielle and her staff were excellent! I thought I needed a 10' truck for my move. After some talking with Dannielle she heard what I had to move and recommended the cargo van. I was skeptical about the space that it had but after looking at it and hearing that it had a cheaper mileage rate I decided to go with the van instead. Not only was the van perfect for what I needed, but I was able to save money on my move because the moving professionals here at this store knew their craft. She even offered a storage unit. I don't need storage but since I live in the neighborhood it's nice to know I have them as an option. I will definitely be using this new location in the future.

Help them there have items (vehicles as well as tools tools & space) that are reserved in person as well as online available. Online reservation made for truck, dolly & space made-only the truck was available. I was told to go around town to find dolly. Who has time for that on moving day? A few days later, in person reservation made for truck & trailer. When it came time to pick up, we arrived to be told we had to go to a different location for truck and a third for trailer. When we arrived the two trailers on hand were not road ready/ lights did not work.

I have been using UHaul for over 40 years. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a Corporate owned location. The general Manager was rude, condescending and I feel was disrespectful and racially targeted me as a customer. When I provide my phone number my name and prior address popped up in your system. I told her the address on my driver's license was current and correct. She insisted she could not and very loudly Would not rent to me unless I provided her and “contact person” in her words “In case we can not reach you”. I had told her I would only need the truck for maybe two hours. And that the cell phone number I gave her was the best way to reach me. I told her I have always used UHall and that I had never been asked for a personal reference or a contact person in the event she could not reach me. I went so far as to ask her if it was a new policy as I had never experienced it before. She refused to explain and began to raid her voice. I asked her not to raid her voice as I was just asking the question so that I could understand the request. I am a 63 year old home owner who was leaving my 50 000 $car in the parking lot and I make in excess of 200 000 $a year. She had no knowledge of that she was just upset that a black man Challenged her buy asking a simple question that she could not or would not answer. She should be either demoted, reprimanded, fired or given some type of Diversity training at best. I will take the time to use social media and my voice within the community to let people know that they will not be treated with respect as a person or customer at this location. I asked her is she was part of the ownership of the location. She stated that she was a stock holder so yes she was “an owner”! No company owner “in my vast” experience would treat a potential client with such disrespect. I will only use UHall if there is zero options available! If I am forced to use your company I will never step foot in that location again. Danielle Hileman is the rude, ignorant and unqualified to work in a service industry where she will have direct contact with customers!

Outstanding end to end moving experience from Uhaul - moving supplies, truck rental, storage space. Efficient and courteous personnel in all stages, and good value for money. Online experience kept all the info in one place. I'd highly recommend.
