Seats were broken and recovered poorly Uncomfortable truck took 125$ worth of gas for 300 miles 0,99 a mile for that truck is ridiculous. I rent regularly looking for other options. I would check out this site and talk to staff. Really poor experience
SHAWN MThe pick up location suggested we change the drop off location to a location they said was closer to our new residence. I had chosen a location that was close and that seemed to have experience handling uhauls. In the end, we had to drive over 30 miles, add more gas to get to the new location. In the end, we were given NOTHING to prove we had dropped off the truck or the items we rented with it. We however, went to the Jeweler/U-Haul location. Had to hand the keys to a man just sitting outside on a bench swing. As we sat in the car pondering if we felt Okay with the drop off. I took videos and photos to prove we had dropped it off. The man clearly didn't know how to drive the truck and didn't know the parking break was on as my husband had parked it on a somewhat incline. We had to deal a U-Haul for sat-sun and Monday calling, texting and emailing from the original location we had chosen. Everyone was looking for the truck. The place we dropped it off wasn't expecting the truck, the place we chose originally was looking for the truck. The place we dropped it at, when I called them, said they couldn't put the truck back in the system because it was raining (this was Monday mind you) and since it was raining, she couldn't open the back of the truck to find out if the items we rented were there. It sat there from Saturday til Monday when I called them demanding that they put the truck back in the system as being returned on Saturday at 10:43 AM as it was time stamped on the video I shared with each person who contacted us and that we contacted.
JEFFREY VThe cargo trailer was dirty with a layer of some kind of black powder. I particularly requested a clean box trailer since I was hauling fashion clothing. Also when I was trying to make a future reservation and repeated my request for a box trailer with a ramp door (just like the one I returned) and clean equipment, I was rudely told to check the equipment myself and that they cannot guarantee a ramp trailer. This is my second year renting equipment from the same location and I have rented 3 times already this year with more future opportunities scheduled.
NAJM Kmy truck broke down, and I was able to get it back to the rental yard. the road service took so long that the attendants suggested I take a new truck, I had to unload my original truck by myself into another truck. road service did show up, and it turned out the problem was loose battery connections that caused all the sensors to malfunction. which tells me U Haul doesn't do or doesn't have capable people to do even minor maintenance. my load was a toolbox that had to be placed on the truck with a hi/lo. it took 2,5 hrs to switch trucks. i had to take the box apart. then put it back together at my destination. a two hr job turned into 5 hrs.
RICO SDawn was extremely helpful and accommodating. The entire staff was awesome overall. They were understanding of my situation and were just good people in general. All smiles, good jokes, and most IMPORTANT…. UNDERSTANDING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. 100 stars, no exaggeration.

SHAWN PIssues with the lights. Had to return the unit earlier than expected and put items we were moving into two different vehicles. Driver side lights go in and out. When they are working they are very dim. Brake and blinker lights always work. Passenger lights went out and eventually all lights were out and stayed out. However the customer service at check was great.
ALYSSA JFront desk pickup was good. Drop off service was also good. Both friendly. The unaul however... Short in the wiring that made the interior dome lights and marker lights remain on despite no lights having ever been turned on. 2 different times I spent almost 10 minutes trying to turn them off. Also found the dolly didn't have a plastic seal on it for showing if someone used it. I didn't use mine but made them aware of it.

We climbed under and got it on track so it would open because it was after hours I wasn't sure who to call about it. I unloaded my stuff into the room got the door closed but was unable to lock it.. I have to go in this morning and switch units to one that is not broken... meaning I have to move the stuff again
VIRGINIA B | Premières impressionsI've used this location before and normally they have my truck towards the front ready for me to go. This time I had to wade through the snow to find it. Once I found it I had to wait over a half hour for the windshield to defrost and the truck barely had any gas whatsoever. I had to waste the gas that was in it to defrost the windows. The only good thing about this experience is when I returned it I was greeted by the person who takes care of the cleaning I'm guessing. He helped me complete the return process very quickly.

FRANK SAbsolutely awful experience. I reserved a 15' box truck and arranged for early pickup. When I used their system to retrieve the keys for it, I found they'd put in the wrong keys. So I had to wait several hours until the store opened. After exchanging for the right keys, I saw they hadn't included reserved items in the truck. After yet ANOTHER delay, I pulled out and found an empty fuel tank and that it was so misaligned that the steering wheel had to be turned 30 degrees to the right to maintain a straight path. My carefully planned day got worse with a snow storm making the sketchy steering a scary situation and had to be done over half blind as the wipers were in such poor condition that 3/4 of their area wasn't cleared each swipe. I'll never use Uhaul again and warn anyone to do so as well. I attempted to send this into their "contact form" to find that it doesn't work as well, but I'm not shocked since the the rest of the online experience was difficult to navigate, not intuitive, and meant spending 20 minutes trying to figure out how to check in. ZERO STARS!!!
William HThe floor was not clean and they could not clean it because it was frozen , so he did give us blanket pads to use so that was nice. He also said we would get 20 % off of total but my receipt does not show a discount or my bank account. Overall, good experience.
DAVID MVery professional and trustworthy employees, always helpful, friendly, but short handed, need more employees at that location, I tend to be known by the employees, as always visit that site, for a vehicle for annual Toys for Tots Program.

JEFFREY TThe staff seemed disorganized. I asked for a bigger truck the staff did not listen and I ended up waiting too long for them to give me another truck. I was also told my truck fuel would be on full abd to return it full. The truck was nearly on empty fuel. I called the customer service number spoke with Katelyn I explained the fuel issue when she called the uhaul store to notify them they refuse to answer. I NOTICED that I was still charged for fuel I put over a half tank of gas in the truck even though it was given to me on empty. The store sayd the computers were slow we all waited in line too long it's not organized or professional.

MIRANDA Bcan't say enough good things about the U-Haul team in Detroit, especially the incredible woman who runs the operations. She went above and beyond to save me from what could've been a disaster. I left my car keys in the U-Haul and didn't realize until I was at the airport with only 20 minutes left before my flight. Mind you, I live in San Francisco, so this was a big deal! She not only called me to let me know but personally drove all the way to the airport and delivered the keys directly to me. Thanks to her quick thinking and kind heart, I made my flight and avoided a huge headache. The entire team at this location is top-notch-productive, helpful, and genuinely caring. This level of customer service is rare, and I'm so grateful for the effort they put into helping me out. I would absolutely recommend this U-Haul location to anyone in need
Anthony WI was locked out of my storage in error one month. Staff could not figure out why since I was current in payments. Had to go to office twice to get someone to take the lock off ( she took the lock off the wrong unit). When I moved out on November 3rd I took pictures and completed the process on the app but it was never completed on your side so I started recording late notices. It took 2 calls and 2 emails before this was resolved. It was not resolved until 12/12. Dawn was extremely friendly and helpful. If I rated my experience based on her alone it works have been excellent.

I went to the desk and the gentlemen did apologize and provide me with a new unit. He mentioned a pillar inside the unit but did also mention that it was the only available unit in the size requested. I asked if a discount off monthly was available and he said it was not. I had to take the u it as I had my truck full Of stuff and was already 45 minutes behind schedule. I feel like I should get a monthly reduction as it was not the unit I originally selected and felt pressure to take the one with a large chunk Of space taken by the pillar

The store is open or closed, or there should be instructions to tell you when the store is open the large glass door.

I had to go and physically get a lock from the front office leaving my belongings unsecured. When trying to close the unit door it kept getting caught on a metal piece sticking out. It took me a while to close the door. So not a smooth move-in. Booking the unit was the smoothest process.

I walked in and there was a young girl with headphones on just sitting over to the side and I stood there for awhile never acknowledged me. A very nice gentleman came in from the back and greeted me right away. Dark hair tall. Didn't get his name unfortunately. Very nice. As for my storage, nice space floor were pretty clean. I was very pleased with them the first 1 years I had my storage. Prolice was great. 2 yr Price increased no biggie., bound to happen. 3 yr price increased majorly. Went from 130. To 180. Not happy. I had gone into my unit and noticed things were chewed went up spoke to dawn the manager and she gave me the number to call the insurance. I took my own pictures since no one came to look at my damage. I'm telling you, the process was a bunch of crap. 2 months later they are asking me for more pictures. Well, at this point I had started to throw things away and well, guess what the pictures were not good enough they wanted more. And wanted the manager to come look at the unit 3 months later?? Seriously. So if you ever make a claim MAKE THR MANAGER COME LOOK. Such bs. This place is so high in price and most of the staff could care less about helping you. There are a few that are great. Everytime I went in there always a different face. Anyway, needless to say the facility itself was ok and maintained. But price increases were way to much. 4 yrs later I'm paying 195 for 10×10 and not even climate control. So I moved to a different place in climate control and paying 102 a month. Good luck, shop around.

The gentleman at counter (the manager) was so helpful and reverse the charge. I returned the card and lock back to him. So appreciated. GOD is good and uhaul is too. Would definitely recommend uhaul services.

The hired movers moved me in the storage fast but only showed at the other end of my move the next day causing me to miss my bus out of town and had to spend the night in the U-Haul; I'm a person with a disability. Nevertheless when they arrived they worked quickly. I could not move anything because of my health. I'm grateful for that. Initially I was going to drive to my state of relocation for what I paid it might have been cost effective.

One of the agent got things in order for me and I was very impressed with her ability to handle the manner. However, because of the mix up, I had to use another credit card. I wasn't expecting that but I had another one. I commend your agent on her expertise.

Definitely a safe place for your belongings. A sufficient amount of cameras as well I might add. Would definitely recommend.

I was supposed to get a free lock for my unit by reserving online. It said the lock would be inside my unit. No lock. I had to leave and run to Walmart for a lock instead. Besides that things have been great so far.

They gave me one month of free storage and move me to another unit. Also refunded my storage fee. I'm still waiting on it to hit my account but I'm sure I will, also my truck was turned back in late due to the fact that other people moving in we're parked really crazy in the parking lot so I had nowhere to pull in and park to allow but once again, U-Haul did a great job with extending my hours, so that I won't be charged for late fees or anything I appreciate them I've had experience with Taylor Uhaul in the past that wasn't so great but I may tell you 2023 is awesome because they're doing a great job. Thank you U-Haul and employees of Taylor.

Was told that the office door was getting slammed at close no matter what after just paying $200 for a unit, 100 for a truck and already having a unit there. Needless to say i give this facility lots of $. So i found the lack of service fairly offensive, especially since she didn't program my 2nd card correctly but luckily the alarm was deactivated for both by my other units card.

It would be helpful to have signs that explain this. There were two different key pads. Only one checks one in and out and the other opens the door only. This was also not obviously explained. Better signage would be useful.

When I first moved items into the storage units, they were both very clean. Office personnel made sure I got a discount that I had forgotten about that I was entitled to because of a previous truck rental.

Leaving solely due to the fact that Vicky poorly manages this facility. Nobody even answers there phone when I call. My locker was spotless, and I'm hoping Vicky doesn't claim otherwise because she has a vendetta. Will never recommend this facility for storage or equipment rental. Her manager was supposed to call me and never did.

My most recent experience with them involved renting a storage room for home goods I was giving to family I have in Marion, OH and in Traverse City, MI. Being able to store items at the same location I could rent a trailer for moving these home goods was a game changer. The storage area was very secure and clean. Plus, the friendly staff were extremely helpful and effective in all of our business transactions. I could not be more pleased with the quality of service they provided me. I do know I will be returning back later today to reutilize one of the available one's as we are currently in day 2 of the move and are not completely done. If there's another unit on 1st floor or either of mine available. I will greatly appreciate it.

I didn't however like the fact I was getting emails and phone calls for 8 months afterwards that I owe for a unit I had moved out of. When a worker had walked me to the unit I paid him an extra $10 to remove the one nightstand I left there because I didn't know where to throw it out. And I was told I still had stuff in there and it took new management to walk up there 8 months later (which thank goodness I kept paperwork showing I paid my bill and I was out in January) to walk up there and realize I really was out and to stop charging me and sending me Lien notices and phone calls

Brent R | Expérience généraleOne of the staff members I worked with was great, so I didn't want to say no to that question. Their name was Billie I believe? The main person I worked with (Her name escapes me) I had worked with before and she is extremely slow and seems like she does not want to be there. She said she had a headache, but I remember her being this way when I got a truck rental there before. The process is archaic. For my contact info, I needed to give 2 phone numbers to reach me. No one has a house phone anymore so I gave my boyfriend's cell phone number. Then I was told I needed a secondary contact, so I use his name and told her it's the same phone number I just gave. I'm then told I cannot have the same phone numbers, so I changed my second phone number to my dad, then needed to give my boyfriends address which was the same as mine and that wasn't allowed. I had reserved a unit ahead of time thinking it would cut back my time, it took me literally 30 minutes to go through this process in person... it was extremely frustrating.
