The online process was confusing regarding insurance obligations. I wasn't clear on whether the transaction was completed or not. Thankfully the front desk was able to help me significantly.

I've rented from you and this location for multiple moves and never had an issue. This issue isn't with the team at the location but the dimensions listed for the cargo van. While the site says the rear doors are: Back Door Opening: 5'1" x 4'1" (WxH) the floor and the inner lip which curves in with a hard rubber coating make the actual accessible opening an inch or so shorter in each dimension. This proved problematic during my recent experience as I was moving paintings that would have fit the listed dimensions, but could not fit in the van due to the floor being an inch higher than the door opening and the inner metal lip with hard rubber coating curves inward which lessens the available space by an inch or so on either side. My wife secured an art show for her deceased father's work in a trendy place in Queens and we couldn't bring the premiere piece. The show is this weekend and the crew was only available to hang the work that evening. Just think you should re-measure and confirm on your end and update the listing so this doesn't happen to others.

The way orders are taken are backwards. Why don't you ask me when I want the box delivered to the destination. Then ask me how many days I need to packet. Then tell me when I can get the delivery date to make that all happen.

This was a very easy transaction. Both employees were excellent and I wouldn't go anywhere else for all things U-Haul.

I was charged $21,33 for gas but the gas meter was between the targets as indicated on the paper. I want a refund for that.

Not much. Simple and pretty quick install. Maybe when making the apt the salesperson can mention there are a couple chairs to wait in instead of mentioning that customers should drop off and come back.

They were not helpful they said everything had to be done online, but the online app was not working properly took twice as long. Why would you go to a location with two people working and nobody can help you bizarre

New process for automated self check-in is not working! The application is very poor and it took me 30 minutes to get the car. That's unacceptable. I was previously able to get the car in 2 minutes when employees were allowed to do the check-in. Please fix the application and allow your employees to do their job, that they do well.

Adjust rates if returned early. I had the truck booked until 7am this morning, but returned yesterday at 12:15pm. It would have been good to get a little money back because the truck was returned early.

Not sure if I would recommend it. I filled out most of the information prior and when I checked in I had to provide additional information, another credit card and really no explanation. When I returned the vehicle no one was in the store and I just turned over the keys to someone with again no explanation of the process.

The trailer had no running lights, cut straps, no brakes, brake actuator slamming into the truck as you come to a stop and no lock pin for the coupler. Absolutely terrible made a 3 hour trip into a 6 hour trip. The brake reservoir had no fluid in it had to keep refilling it throughout the trip cause there is a leak somewhere.

I believe the tires on the 5x8 trailer I rented were borderline for replacement but overall it performed very well and it was an excellent rental. The guys (especially Ambrose) running the location were all very nice, courteous and helpful and made it an easy experience. If needed I'll be using this location again.

When I returned the vehicle last night during after hours the QR codes didn't work and I had to contact customer service for assistance with my return.

Great experience. The vehicle was very clean. Not always the case when you rent a U-Haul. This was a nice surprise. Justin and staff were wonderful to work with.

The employee in the gray Acura or Honda at the totowa location was laying on the horn as I was trying to return the truck I rented. The line was backed up all the way to the entrance. Long story short he proceeded to get out of his car and fight with me screaming and yelling threatening me trying to provoke a physical altercation. He was late to work or from coming back from his lunch and thought taking his anger out on a customer was the right thing to do . Wrong I will never return or rent from that store again

This isn't for this location but for the U-Haul company. You do the ordering and everything on line. They need to email the monthly bill to each customer like every buisness does now since everything is online. Things come up and it's very easy to forget about various things. Monthly email would help customers remember. Especially customers that are miles away from where the storage boxes are stored.

There was a water leak apparently over the storage unit. We were not notified and when we went to pick up some stuff from the mother in laws unit the one bedside stand and big screen tv was destroyed. We didn't have insurance on the u it so I know we can't do anything about the damage. But due to not being notified about the leak we moved out. Will not use uhall storage again

The gentlemen at the front desk were extremely helpful and courteous both during my initial check in and when I was finished using my unit. Also, very helpful recommending the supplies I needed. The automatic drive-in doors for entry were a great bonus. Moving carts were always available. The store always had various moving products available for purchase. It was a very pleasant experience.

Check-in and move-in were easy. I did notice what looked like rodent droppings on the floor, and I noticed some poison or traps set out in the area. Hope that does not signal a rodent problem.

The U-Haul Storage facility in Totowa NJ is very clean and very well managed, e.g., very efficient, helpful staff. I employed this service for over a year to house my product inventory for my business when my warehouse closed during the pandemic. The facility is accessible, clean and secure. The owners and staff were on site at all times. This team was professional, responsive and always reasonable. I definitely recommend this location.

Gave help when needed but, the second you have a life threatening emergency come up and you can't pay them... forget it. I'm thankful for the help Delford gave but I DEFINITELY will NOT be using this facility again!!! I'd much rather rent out a garage from an unknown person, in the worst part of town, than rent from them. Prices are crazy, fees are even worse. 10 000 000 % learned my lesson. Thank you, but never again.

Observation: There was metal fragments (screws) on the ground within the loading /unloading dock, should be visually checked daily to prevent unforseen issue like a flat on tires of customers.

Getting an access card so i didn't have to type the security code each time was more complicated than it needed to be. Desk employee did not seem familiar at all with the online process. Not all access panels to disarm the unit seem to work - Alarm went off twice.

Kind of confusing getting into the building and disarming your unit at first but once you figure it out it is convenient and easy. I know this facility is fairly new and it shows, it is clean and organized. I loved that there was a lock waiting for me inside, and the on-line check in was extremely easy and quick. Highly recommend this facility, awesome location, and great price compared to others in the area. Love the free first month with one way U-Haul truck rental too!

Other than my working debit card not working there, the move in was ok. But today went I went to bring more items, there were a bunch of guys spray painting furniture inside the closed garage. It smells bad enough in the area from factories but now all my stuff smells like paint. Called the office. Don't think they did anything about it.
