For one thing I told uhaul employee where I was driving to and from and they estimated the milage. The milage went over by 14 miles. They said it was a $1 over for every mile and charged me $20. $1 per mile at 14 miles is $14 not $20 and further more ine if your employees estimated the miles not me. Then they charged me fo a dolly I never used. One of my friends had brought their dolly and we used my friends not u-hauls. I went back to talk to the employee at the u-haul that I rented the truck from after talking to an employee on the phone. The gentleman told me after explaining everything I just wrote oh so the bill is $125 something minus 7 because you didn't use the dolly. Then the following day uhaul has another $20 coming out of my account for what who knows??? So for a bill that started out as $104.00 has now gone over $150. I would not recommend uhaul to anyone. sorry Not good customer service and not good communication or understanding. No clue what all these extra charges are either. I used Auburn ME uhaul location.

When we dropped off the truck we were disappointed to have to interact with an employee who was unmasked for the entirety of the interaction. Would not recommend to anyone returning to a business not following health and safety protocols in a pandemic.

Drop off location states to stay in vehicle and staff will come to you to check in. After several minutes of waiting I went inside, and staff told me to leave keys in vehicle and leave. I offered to settle bill for additional mileage and was told no, it will be added and rebilled later. Received my bill for almost double what rental should have cost, so now I need to make a special trip back to store to resolve error.

This is the 2nd truck I've rented in a month. When I turned in the first one, a worker came out and inspected the truck before I left. I had commented that the dolly and furniture pads had been in the way and he advised I could ask them to remove them. This time, when I got in the truck it was filthy. An inch of dust on the steering column and dashboard and the windshield was so filthy inside and out that I couldn't hardly see out of it. So given the added restrictions of the covid rules, this truck was obviously not cleaned let alone disinfected. Additionally, a worker wouldn't take the dolly out prior to me leaving and when I turned the truck in, he's the same jerk who wouldn't get out of his chair to come outside and do his job, instead telling me to leave the keys in the truck and he'd email me a receipt (never looking up from his computer). U-Haul as a company and this location specifically is a terrible company. Very inconsistent on your policies (and apparently training) and it's a 50/50 shot if you'll get a friendly employee or a totally lazy rude one. You also offer no discounts for multiple truck rentals like I needed and no discounts for Fire/Police/Military like every other company. I have rented U-Hauls many, many times over my lifetime and it seems it's always a below average to bad experience when dealing with UHaul corporation.

I am a monthly rental unit renter and use your trucks several times throughout the year. I returned a rental yesterday morning and dealt with rudest arrogant child running your store! Guy was arguing with me about basic math101 and was trying to overcharge me around $40. When I asked for clarification of the charges he was annoyed and in the end completely wrong with his breakdown. I asked for a manager and was told there wasn't one available. Asked for the manager's contact info and was told to call the 800 number. This completely explains all of your one star ratings online for this location! Horrible quality service! PS: you also constantly have a truck blocking full access to my rental unit!!

Some how you have to let customers know you are in the building somewhere. We had to go search for some to help us, but once that happen, everything was excellent. Garrett Addison was very helpful and knowledgeable about the whole rental agreement. We would go see him again.

Truck was not prepared; we had to sit 30+ minutes melting/clearing ice and snow off the windows and lights. It did not have the amount of gas in it stated on the contract. We were already late for our appointment due to lack of help in the store: one young man working alone couldn't process the pick-ups and returns in a reasonable time. We stood in line a long time..., along with many others...we were masked as required...he was NOT! This was not the location near where our appointment was; if directed there again we will refuse.

Overall I was disapointed. I reserved a 20' trailer but when I arrived I was told they only had a 26'. There was only one guy working and he was stressed and being gruff with everyone. He told me he couldn't get the 20' out so I had to take the bigger one. The bigger trailer turned out to be too big and I had a lot of trouble with it.

You got our order completely wrong; size truck and location included. I confirmed my order on the phone and everything was correct and then an employee called my husband with a completely wrong order and informed us of having to pick up at a different location. He also told my husband that we could pick up between 7am and 9am and when we got there we were told we couldn't get it until 9. He also told my husband a different price than what we were charged. We are completely displeased with your service and will not be using your service in the future.

The vehicle and customer service at this location were great. Employees were courteous and very helpful. I did have issues with trying to rent the vehicle using the online option with my phone and if I had reserved this after hours I probably wouldn't have been able to complete the process without help of an employee.

Tank wasn't full was told to bring it back full or be charged a fee and $3.75 a gallon. Truck went a total of 23 miles. I put 5 gallons in and it would have taken more. Showed the attendant the before and after pics. He nodded and didn't offer to make it right...

Due to the fact that I had to go 50 miles out of my way and it cost me twice as what it should have. When I checked online it was supposed to be $59 and I thought that is what the operator said when I reserved it.

When we got the U-Haul it was on Empty . So we had to go to the gas station right off. So when I dropped it off it had a little under a half. Apparently I shouldn't I put that much gas . Usually when we bring it back we leave at the same Way we got it.Otherwise everything was perfect.

Well it was inconvenient that I was charged 20 dollars for the online return. I thought I could do it from home but could not and the truck was already on its way to be dropped off by my brother. To drop off my truck online I was promoted to then take pictures and also would not let me do the return unless my phones location was in your parking lot.I feel I was taken advantage of. I only had the truck for 12 hours. I set reservations for 7am but did not pick up the truck until 930am. The young woman did not now who I was or were my reservation was. I also never received a mileage report. As for the truck it was horrible, I did not dare to shut of the truck because it was hard to start and I had to get moving to me new home. It also did not drive that well.

U-haul rep at this location that I worked with did a very poor job representing U-haul. Was promised a 26' truck with low mileage from the regional u-haul 1 way scheduler in Brunswick ME. The U-haul guy I dealt with pretty much indicated you get what I give you. Which turned out to be a tired truck with 146,000+ miles. Clearance light was out, power steering had problems and the cargo compartment leaked water in 2 places on my personal property! Loads 2 & 3 going to Texas will be on a Penske 26' truck.

My only suggestion would be to have signage directing where to park when encountering temporary vehicle swap situations. This location does an excellent job from pick up to drop off! I had to really give this a few moments thought.

Better help at the counter, Their put the two wheeler in the way, so you get charged for it even if you don't use it!! We rented a trailer and told us that we couldn't unhook it so we wouldn't be able to use the ramp on the truck, how the hell do you expect us to load the truck???????

The service agent waiting on myself and the customer before me was very rude to both of us. Not sure if he was having a bad day, but was very cranky. He raised his voice when we didn't answer questions to his satisfaction. He needs to be more specific when asking us questions, so we are not trying to guess at the answers he is looking for.

The truck was clean inside and out, however someone had been smoking in the truck body prior to my picking the truck up at 7:30 am. That should not happen, it was disgusting. No one should be smoking in the cargo area of your excellent pieces of equipment.. Period!

Salesman who checked us out was quite rude and didn't seem to want to be bothered. It's a man who clearly hates his job. Our return was to a Jacob Libby (bushy hair/beard). He was excellent: pleasant, knowledgeable, polite. Equip was fine. The 'below average rating was due to the guy who checked us out.

I was charged for extra milage and fuel that I was not aware of. I was not advised of this charge until I saw it in an email days later. I called to inquire about this and a 200.00 credit we were due since UHaul asked us to return the truck to a different location than we had set up in the reservation and we had not received it yet. I unfortunately spoke to Wade, area field manager, that was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered in customer service anywhere! I will never use UHaul or recommend!!

You charged me aCcount for a month's rent on May 16 2020 after I had all my belongings removed on May 15, 2020 Why? So, obviously you are attempting to take something that does not belong to you which is call STEALING. And I had called personally to speak with the manger day's prior to let him know all my belongings.would be removed prior to the end date on my one month storage rental. So you were duly informed and away. .

Where to start. Thank god it was a free month because we rented a uhaul trailer cross country or I never would have lasted the month. There are soooo many trucks parked everywhere it is hard to drive around or park your vehicle. There was always a truck parked in front of all one side of the units. You had to call to say please move the trucks so I can load and unload stuff. Very inconvenient. We were going to sign on for a year but it is too busy in that lot and way too many headaches and besides we found a unit in town for half the price uhaul quoted me! So overall we were not happy with U-Haul!!

Almost everything I had in storage was destroyed by mice. Wasted thousands of dollars to store things for them all to be destroyed. Unit always blocked by trucks. Rates constantly increased.
