Online check didn't work. It couldn't find my contract so I was charged an after hours fee of 20 $. People at the location were great but the after hours check in didn't work.

Did not get the full “day” for which I paid. Was told when I picked it up at 8 that it had to be back by 2 o'clock. Very inconvenient. Staff seemed very unconcerned about my problems!

Buyer beware - if you aren't able to find equipment in your neighborhood, carefully evaluate whether U-haul is being kind or making a dollar off of you. We paid more than double by accepting the extra days, extra miles, and pick up location we were given. "Pick up 17 miles away but you can return it to your neighborhood dealer since we don't have any trucks available." Don't fall for it. If you don't return it to where you picked it up it is considered a one-way move. The site we picked up from never disclosed this and even filled out paperwork to say we refused to return it to the same location. So instead of costing the daily rate -29,95 $ + safemove -14,00 $ it cost us 108 $. Both the scheduling representative AND the representative where we picked up assured us that we would be credited the difference once we returned the truck. Wrong! Not the way to treat your once loyal customers.

Unreasonable prices. {Paid 350 $when rented the uhaul, brought back a couple hours late because we were stuck.. had roadside assistance pull us out... so since we were late... they charged us 250 $more dollars which is outrageous... and when we first picked up the truck we told the guy 100 miles, he put down 30... so of course we went over.. he even told us that although it said 30 miles on the sli[p he gave us.... that wasn't accurate and to not worry, it is in the system as 100....and we only did about 73. I guess he lied or was mistaken. we also stood around in the office for about 15 minutes before we had to walk around to find someone. and when we got the keys to our truck we had to walk around and find the truck.

I loved my experience at Uhaul. The only thing I didnt like was how much it is. The monthly storage is a little steep. But overall I liked it.

My local U-Haul experience was excellent. However, my U-Haul customer service experience was disappointing. The rep was wonderful, pleasant, knowledgeable, but ended up booking me labor for moving day with a company that no longer exists! It made moving day an extremely stressful experience. I do not think U-Haul should associate with a service that they cannot guarantee.

I returned the truck with gas above the mark it was asked for, and I was still charged an additional 19 $. When I called they stated there was nothing they could do. I will not be returning to use Uhaul again for my next move. Very disappointing.

I had to rearrange my reservation 3 times. I HAD RESERVATIONS FOR A WEEK AND YOU GUYS CALL ME THE DAY BEFORE MY MOVE TO TELL ME YOU DONT HAVE WHATS NEEDED FOR MY MOVE! You guys cost me so much more money and time and gas!!' Horrible fucking experience then the locker I had reserved you guys gave away YHE morning of my arrival!! I traveled two states with belongings to be told you guys JUST GAVE MY UNIT AWAY WITHOUT PERMISSION AND NO ONE CARED AT ALL ABOUT IT!!

The truck wreaked of cigarette smoke. Also wish they had told me to do the online check in because the pictures on the inspection were not accurate on damage done before I got it but nothing was counted against me anyway. Hopefully next time I will remember to go over the vehicle BEFORE driving away with it.

I reserved a cargo van 8 days prior to needing it (rec'd confirmation) for my small business. When I called the day prior to pick up with questions, I was told there was no van available because the van wouldn't be returned in time for me to have it. None of the options given were acceptable to our schedule. I expressed disbelief that I could have confirmation and then denied the rental 18 hours prior to pick-up. Were they going to call me or just wait until we showed up to pick up the van? The state transportation manager called me to offer resolution, with extreme rudeness and when I asked his name, he hung up on me. Extremely poor customer service. If I ran my business that way, I'd be out of business quickly.

I was told to unload it myself. I ended up scratching my bumper trying to use the big lever arm thing that he told me to try. Not a huge deal, but certainly not what I was hoping for.

Well, from my own experience their should be someone at Uhaul to explain to the customer that the wiring from the vehicle to the trailer cannot run through the framing out the bumper because the wiring connections that are installed are wider then the holes provided in the vehicle, therefore the wiring is coiled up in the trunk inside the vehicle.

I booked well in advanced for a 10' truck and when I arrived they changed my truck to a 15' last min. I was not happy, truck was way to big for what I needed it for and the teller could of cared less. "That's all we have available" she said. If I booked something in advance I would like to have what I booked for!

Trailer was beat to a pulp when I picked it up, when I questioned it he said “well what do you expect “.. the manager was rude and threw a hitch on my bumper that scratched my tailgate. I was told on the phone that they rent drop hitches but they do not so I had to buy one due to not knowing the height of the trailer.. Top it off, I dropped the trailer at 10 AM Monday the 4th and they charged me till the 6th. The Rude red head behind the counter did not check it in.. she just said I was all set.. guessing that's why I got charged an extra 2days.. I will never rent through auburn Maine again if I ever rent from u-haul again. Yes, I'm a very pleasant gentleman till I have to deal with petty shit like this!

The general manager who helps customers is very grumpy and needs to have a more upbeat attitude. Does not listen to the customer instead cuts them off. That is not customer service.

I rented a small pickup to pick up a stove I bought. it was a brand new truck less than 1000 miles. I even showed up a little early but it was not a a problem. I will definitely do this again , it was cheaper than the store was going to charge for deliver!

I have three charges on my card totalling close to sixty dollars after being sent a receipt for 38 bucks for the truck and 8 bucks for the mattress cover. I apparently got charged extra for a reason that wasn't disclosed to me. I've used this location a lot over the last ten years but I'll probably go somewhere else next time. The rep was nice to my face but that doesn't mean much when extra charges are being tacked on with no explanation.

The people in Auburn were very friendly and I have nothing negative to say about them. However, I am EXTREMELY unhappy with your reservation policy. I booked my 10' one-way truck two months ahead of time for pickup in Brunswick. I was called the day before pickup and told I had to drive an extra hour round-trip to pickup my truck in Auburn. If it wasn't going to be available in Brunswick, your system should not have let me reserve it there. Otherwise, you don't seem to know what a reservation means (i.e. you have the truck available at the right place, right day)!!

The only issue was when I got to our new home and parked the truck after drive I realized the front left tire was leaking oil on my brand new driveway from the hub seal I advised the employee at the drop off location in Auburn maine Was a little frustrated by this as of now I have a company coming in to clean the oil off the new driveway

PLEASE try to stop renters from SMOKING MARIJUANA in trucks!!!! That sickening stench lasts forever in truck cabs. I had to drive with windows open all the time (regardless of that blowing wind noise in my ears) due to nauseating MARIJUANA stench!!! OUTLAW MARIJUANA smoking in trucks. ALSO: Uhaul staff will have to add BOTH spraying cabs with Lysol as well as hanging those pine tree shaped "deodorizers" in trucks!!! But I bet neither will kill that forever lasting marijuana stench!!! IF you think Maine's "law" against smoking pot while driving, or even having that in their blood stream affecting their brains while driving, is stopping pothead people from smoking pot while driving YOU ARE IDIOTS!!!! 90 % of cars that pass by bus stops (I use buses regularly) have MARIJUANA FUMES pouring out their windows!!!! Pot heads think since they cannot smell their own OVERWHELMING stench that non-users can't either!!!! Fact; that pot users sense of smell is permanently destroyed in their brains, so that they are incapable of smelling their own noxious odor!!! Not even when they aren't "using" they still cannot smell it left in the air by other potheads. The last 3 times I've rented, the trucks reeked of marijuana!!!!! NOTHING SMELLS WORSE than forever lasting marijuana STENCH!!!! Better to have a truck sprayed by a dozen skunks than just one pothead smoker in it!!!!

Both front tires on the 26 footer I rented weee so bald the steel belts were showing. Make sure you check your rental before you leave the facility on center street in auburn. Once you leave they could careless what happens.

The clerks were authoritarian and dictatorial. So were the corporate forms. Everything was geared to have the corporation have all the power and control. They didn't even want to give me a receipt for drop[ing off the equipment. I had to demand a receipt to be able to prove I did so if a proble appeared down the road. You even wanted to control the specific vehicle I would transport on the trailer. There was threatening language in the paperwork to intim midate me into buying the insurance. I have been renting from u-haul for over 40 years. Now I'm looking for other options.

The truck I got smelled really bad when I got in. And I'm gonna tell you right now I was not at all impressed I tried extending the vehicle they would not allow me to then I got rushed to the hospital by ambulance which scarred everyone cause my daughter found me unconscious on the floor and guy that called my phone when the vehicle was late and talked to my son is lucky I couldn't get a hold of him cause when my son told him I was in the hospital he said that he found that hard to believe because I lied on my last return and owed money. And that he needed the truck for someone else and had my son in tears cause I was in the hospital so I am not happy. And he's lucky I couldn't get through to him on my phone and my son don't remember his name. And he's gonna have a fit and say I lied about mileage and gas well he lied about needing the vehicle back as well because they returned it around 4 and we drove by there headed home around 730pm and it was still sitting where they left it. So how is needing it for someone else and I can send u proof I was in the hospital so ya I am not happy at all with the service of this uhaul

They triple charged my credit card for one truck!! Didn’t check the truck in when I dropped it off and said “ we’ll take the keys and send you and email with the amount charged” I never got the email, only a triple charge for the truck In my bank account.
