The staff were all excellent, especially Brian. They really took the time to help you find the moving vehicle that suited your needs. All the equipment was nice and new and clean. My only issues were that it is a little difficult to know where the interior light switch is, especially when it’s dark. If that could either be pointed out prior or marked better, would be nice. Also, the whole gas filling situation to 3/4 tank is a bit of an issue. I filled it once per the instructions, checked it and it was low, so back to the drawing board and added more gas checked it by turning on the engine and it was just below the line. Sod it! I went and paid anyways as I know I put double the gas the form called for! Drove off and guess what..... I was way past the 3/4 mark. It takes a while of driving to get a proper register. Other than that, I would recommend and probably will be using them again in the near future.

The computer system in Waterloo is very slow so the wait time was longer than I expected. Staff was very friendly and explained everything beautifully. Great experience

I reserved a truck 3 weeks in advance. Day before received a text from uhaul to confirm pickup so I phone the dealer and they also confirmed it. Flew there the next day and they had no truck. I was sent to two more places and still not able to get truck. Finally at the fourth location I was able to get a truck. So 3 hours of waisting mine and my helpers time and about 120 Kilometres of driving wasting gas I got a lousy 50 credit on my MasterCard. Thanks for the crappy treatment.

Web site could use some work. Little unclear as to last payment and when next payment is due. I was charges late fees because it said I had Zero balance owing until the day it was due.

The customer service was extremely poor. The girl that was attending to me seemed pissed off at something. She was not interested in what she was doing. Looked like someone forced her to do an undesirable task. She didn't smile for even a second. Was cold and made me afraid of asking questions. For instance, I rented a PU , had never driven one. Didn't know where the lights were or even how to open the gas tank. Had to go home and google this information. Couldn't dare ask having been given such a cold reception. Customer service is very critical especially when offering an essential but competitive service like yours! We are all human and need to be treated courteously and with respect !

First of all I when I book for a truck I wanted a one way from Hamilton to Waterloo. Some how my reservation got all mixed-up. And was told I had to do a two way, I talked to two different people before you changed my reservation. I also feel that when we did get the truck in Hamilton it had only 1/4 tank of gas to go to Waterloo. That would differently would not get us to Waterloo. I feel your trucks should be half or even full for the customers before getting it. We did put gas in the truck in Hamilton and it got us home but we were below the 1/4 tank which I feel was not fair to me, when the truck should of had more gas in it in the first place. I know I had to pay penalty for bringing it back. But the was so unfair to me. One of your employees told me when we ask the question about the penalty he said we can't keep asking the employees to keep taking the trucks and getting them filled with gas. Well my opinion on that comment is when they are not busy all day it wouldn't take that much to take a truck to that is being rented and get it filled up. We pay a good price for your rentals.

Your staff could try being friendly and less sarcastic, the lady would not let me get a word in, very rude! I have rented a lot of trucks and trailers over the years not to mention the years of storage rentals. I will not be returning to this location again.

Check in was slow (to be fair, a guy was in training), but I had already provided a lot of the same information to person on the phone when making the reservation. It would have been very annoying to wait in line, had it been busy, when you just want to pay and get on with the task you need the trailer/vehicle for!

Renting and contracting seems a bit tedious now especially when I have rented many times before and my information is in the computer. Technology!! Easier or more complicated?! Nothing wrong with the service. Excellent.

Very rude customer service. Agents over talking each other advising me of procedures, agent uploaded my driver's licence on her cell phone - later deleted, but not appropriate, lecturing on pre-sign in. I will never use Uhaul again!. *Truck smelled.

Unit was very handy but light inside unit didnt work and when we reported it at the on set, no one wanted to fix it but there was a light right outside the unit so we weren't totally in the dark.

I do not own a cellphone. It is impossible to take a picture of my driver's licence. I was told by a u-haul rep. that showing my licence was not acceptable and that I needed to take a picture of my licence for the rental. Why can't a picture be taken at the U-haul store. When I called your 1 800 number and was told that because I made reservations that I woodnot have to have a copy of my licence. Not so, when I went to pick up the pickup I was told that I still need to have a photo of my driver's licence. My suggestion is U-haul should take a copy of my licence if it is required.

We used one of your trucks to move our home into storage. The truck got stuck for 2 days ZERO help from your people. While unpacking our things we found rat droppings in our things! Never again!!!

How you do not pro rate is beyond me. What a Rip off. Manager at my location was rude, thankfully a few of her staff tried to be helpful and polite. Also my door came off the hinges and fell twice.

Over the 3 years I have rented vehicles from this location 3 times and had a locker twice, and the people working here are fantastic. They are efficient, courteous, knowledgeable and professional.

Should offer the opportunity to pay per day up to 5 days after monthly renewal is due. I was moving July 1st, and had to pay June 25th... For a whole month. Not cool.

I wish to praise Sherry Grundstrom, the manager of U-Haul Waterloo, for her empathy in handling my move in. I was over my head in moving my boxes with the rental truck to the facility. It was backbreaking work doing it alone, the first time I had ever done such a move. I severely underestimated the time it would take and ended up unconscionably late in handing in the truck - several hours in fact. It was not lost on me that the penalties incurred from the late fees alone would amount to hundreds of dollars, dwarfing the original rental cost, which for a student represented a severe burden. I profusely apologized to Sherry, and explained my situation, and Sherry was very understanding and did the unexpected - completely canceling the late fees incurred! I was much relieved and grateful for Sherry's empathy. I recommend U-Haul to all my friends for moving and storage. Great people!
