Only negative was that 1 bag of blankets, while the looked clean, were infused with dirt/dust. Literally dust clouds when we attempted to shake them out. Fortunately we were not moving fabric based furniture otherwise we could not have used them. As it is we have a fine layer of grime/dust on all the wooden tables we moved that will now have to be gently cleaned.Eric P.

Truck was clean and A/C was great. Lousy gas mileage but expected. Was overcharged on return of truck and I failed to get a printed receipt of the return. Called after noticing extra charge to my credit card after a couple of days and they agreed mistake was made and refund would be issued but would take about 5 days to show on my credit card statement. . Week later called again for refund and was told would be refunded. Another week later after still no refund, returned to U-Haul office and Kasey the manager immediately processed the refund, apologized for the error and the refund posted to my account the next dayBob L.

Customer service is great but Uhaul is a big enough company they should have a system in place where the items people try to rent are accounted for or an automatic email or notification is sent saying if something isn't available. With how digitized everything is this should be more than possible. Also, I had to call uhaul the night before my early AM pickup because I never received the promise call only to find out They not only didn't have a truck if the size I needed available, but I had to travel to a further location to get the smaller truck. When I asked why I hadn't been told sooner they said they hadn't gotten to my reservation yet. Again, the company is big enough they should have a system in place where the computer helps the employees teach which reservations need to be handled next so it goes by pick up time rather than whatever system they are currently using.Amber G.

This was a mess! We initially ordered ten boxes because we were told it was better to have too many than not enough. We ended up only needing seven. Supposedly, it was an easy process to return the boxes we didn't need. This could not have been more wrong! Somehow the identification numbers for the boxes was wrong, and it kept showing that only three boxes arrived to the facility in Texas. My wife spoke to multiple people, spending hours on the phone. She was told someone would call her back each time and this never happened. So she would have to call back, get transferred around and spend more time on the phone. Again she was told that when they got the issue fixed they would call back.. Never heard from them. Finally, she called them on July 16th as we were en route to our new location. She asked if all our boxes were there and received a very abrupt answer that yes they were all there and accounted for. It was like we were bothering them. We wouldn't have called back if we had gotten the call we were promised. We advised them that the reason we were checking was because our movers were going to be there at 9 AM on the 17th and we needed to confirm the boxes were ready. They assured us they were ready. Our movers arrived at 9AM on the 17th only to be told that the boxes were not ready. Oh and they only had one trailer for them to use! As a result, they did not arrive to our home with the first set of boxes until nearly noon. It was a giant cluster. To top it off, I got a text from the local facility asking about my experience. I outlined all these issues in the text, asked for some of my money to be returned and for someone to contact me. That has been nearly 24 hours ago and I have still not heard back. I spent thousands of dollars with Uhaul and cannot believe the level of incompetence and disrespect.Heather M.

I was very disappointed the reservations made online aren't honored due to a â€œ1st come/1st serveâ€ policy Uhaul have. I booked 2 appliance dollies, but none were available once I arrived on a Saturday which is their busiest day. Casey (GM) was cool enough to listen as I expressed my dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, the movers scratched my front load washer really bad because the regular dolly's handle fell apart which is why I needed the appropriate size dolly along with better equipment. Will I use Uhaul again, unfortunately yes because they are everywhere & the prices are reasonable. Uhaul, please do better. 1 very pissed off customer. URGH!!! PS I had to wait some time in line because there was only 1 rep working on their busiest day which is awful. Another URGH!!!!Bernice B.

Trailer that I reserved was not there, I had to go pick up at another location because it was turned in at the wrong location. So they set me up at the other location pick up but return back to original 1st location. When I returned it they were going to charge $250~ for me returning it to the place where i was originally supposed to return it where I was told to return it to. The other location screwed something up idk. I was to tired to argue I just wanted to get it over with. Trailer was good and service was nice but just had me running around wasting time and gas. I completed online check-in so that I could access my unit outside of business hours. However, when I arrived, the main building door was locked so I had to wait for somebody to arrive and unlock it for me. To start, I called to make the reservation everything was good there, when I went to pick up the truck was horrible, I dont know what kind of people you guys hires, I have been in United States for about one year, and the worst experience I have had with a company. As soon as I arrived to the store to pick up the truck, the system was completely down. Then they checked my reservation and told me they didn't have the dolly furniture and don't have pads; when I made the reservation I have chosen a different place but the lady on the phone told me this place had everything I need; They didn't have nothing there. I was very upset and the Manager JOHN PENA, are you guys sure he can be a manager, he didnt even approach to me to resolve my problem, he just ignored me, you can verify this information with the CCTV system. They didnt bring the truck to me, I had to go out and find the truck by myself, the truck was not clean, the gas it was just in a quarter of tank, this is HOUSTON the distances here are big so I had to stop of the middle of the trip to put gas, then when I checked the storage unit, I have requested to be on 77095 not to the south of the city, So I have to call customer service to fix this problem, at the end it was fixed but I had to deal with a lot of stress because of you. I wont recommend anything from you, or use your services anymore. And please you need to fire this guy John Pena it was not respectful with nothing, how is it possible to have a manager that was not resolving the situations in the store and keep ignoring me all the time? I was with this storage company for 3 year paid monthly . They went in my storage without my consent change the lock left no key . My son had to break the lock . The company change hands so much you don't know how is responsible . For any problems, just glad it's over. And they still owe me money. So can you check on that ... We rented what they called a Climate Controlled 10x10 storage room for $140 per month including insurance because we had furniture and other sensitive items that would be damaged by heat and humidity. We put our things in the facility in May and all summer, the temperature was between 85 and 100 degrees Farhenheit. I have a photo of the temperature gauge they have in the hallway that reads 98º. It was always hot and humid in the storage areas. Many times I went to retrieve things and all the doors to my building were locked. I had to go to the other building and ask somebody to unlock the building. We ended up moving everything to a LifeStorage facility that was always so chilly that we almost needed a sweater when we went in, and it only cost $82 per month. There are a LOT of better options. Do not put your valuable things in this place. You will regret it. The worst part is, it is not even the lowest price around. Not even close. You can get better accommodations for less. My unit had a leak I was in storage unit 0167. This leak ruined a box of my military memorabilia from my time I served in the US Navy. I told the employees about the leak but they didn't seem to care. I just wanted to inform her that I lost items and it should be repaired before someone else rents it. I was pleased with everything service oriented. It was when I emptied the unit, found tons and tons of rodent droppings in the climate controlled, rodent controlled environment I paid for. I lost a lot of clothing, and towels due to holes chewed in them. Thank goodness I did not have much stored there. Your marketing president Gabe Mindieta was so rude and so nasty and so threatening is the reason I canceled my storage unit there after over 10 years because he didn't like me using the dumpster. Kept raising my rates and was full of mice and bugs. When I canceled I had to ask three times to take me out of the system fully paid as they sent collections tactics to both me and my father separately to get payment and then have the audacity to charge by mail with a late fee… I was fully paid, and I was told this was handled, but it was not handled.
