The store manager was extremely rude with pickup. Upon return we followed the instructions on the signs and sat in the return area for 15 minutes. The employee inside never came out. When we went inside he was sitting on some boxes and just said we will email you your receipt. It was poor service from the top to the bottom.

I had to split the payment 209 on card than 100 in cash. The rental truck had tire issues Had got stuck and they took them awhile just to come after several hours they come and say nothing they can do. Than charges me fees for rental on top of keeping my security deposit. Also overcharging me for a rental I didn't ask for. I feel for my first time using this company I was treated badly and overcharged. I don't think I will ever use this company or recommend them to anyone else. Thanks for the poor services and beating me out my money in a time like this. I went to serval high authority and all they seem to be concerned of is how to keep my money after it was told to me all of it will be refunded because someone did something that wasn't supposed to be done and I was overcharged for a one way I never asked for.

Staff was friendly. I addressed some Tire issues and they ignored that. Said everything was good to go. Left out on a 1200 mile trip. About 80 miles into the trip discovered the right front tire only had 20 psi in it. It also had a slow leak as well. The right rear also leaked as well. Poor maintenance all together. Even the windshield washing fluid was empty.

The door was broke. Once I Ioaded my stuff, the door would not close. I had to call road side. They took 3 hrs. They are the ones that informed me that the was old and needed replacement. This delayed my one way to Texas. Now, I'm hoping that beat the ice.

Seems like the lady who actually released my trailer from the store, did not read the digital messages from another employee who provided the trailer at 6:30 pm the night before "as a courtesy". She wanted to charge me another day's rental and seemed annoyed when I pointed out the courtesy.

The contract noted 3/4 full of fuel. After leaving, I quickly noticed it was 1/2 full. I tried to call (26 minute hold time). I took a picture of the fuel and odometer and filled up the tank. After returning everything was settled fairly. But I was scolded for not coming back to the office immediately. No apology for U-Haul's error. In the end it was OK, but that has stuck with me.

This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. The Uhaul representative threatened to cancel our contract because she claimed my wife was "rude". That was unacceptable. Second, the truck we rented was broken and had a difficult time shirting into the proper gear to move forward or move to the proper speed. We had requested 10 moving blankets they said they had none. But later they found 3 for us. They had them along just being lazy and unwilling to help. Overall, the customer service was horrible, the truck was awful, no furniture pads, no hand truck and overall just a horrible experience. I would not recommend Uhaul as truck rental service.

I arrived to this location On November 1st @6:45am. Location opened at 7:00am so i waited until open time. I walked to front door which was still closed and manager Kelly was inside facility looking at me without any acknowledgment or opening door to start business. I knocked on door at 7:10am to show her i need assistance. She came to door to tell me i dont need her to just drop off equipment with her male employee was outside already and go. I had a long 30hour drive and was not aspecting the welcome that i received getting into North Carolina. I left equipment with Kelly and her employer.Then i got a call on November 7th by Crystal informing me that my equipment i returned on November 1st is showing i did not return it so shes calling asking for me to return equipment. I explained to Crystal the horrible experience i had at that location dropping or tow dolly and it is there at location since November 1st without being scanned into the database. She stated she will call and fix it with Kelly. I received an email stating that equipment was returned on November 7th which was a LIE. So im really upset with my experience at this location.

I had scheduled to return the vehicle at a different location but the storage unit was at yours. The staff were very helpful to switch the drop-off to your location which saved me a lot of hassle and made it stress-free. They were also a great help with advice on the right storage unit for me. I am being charged for a 10x10. The unit is a 5x10. Also the ceiling in unit is falling and the floor tiles are coming apart and unit should have been sweeped out. I want my unit to say a 5x10. To charge me for a 10x10, is not the size of unit.

Units are nice and secure. Floors clean. Massive rat infestation. I had nothing perishable, no foods or anything of the sort, but had books and other items chewed by rats, covered in rat feces, and even a dead rat laying atop my items. Hopefully never have to use this facility again.

This facility is so bad I would even rate it. Water damage due to leaking room, you access the the second floor through removable stairs, there's water damaged mattresses sitting at the front door, and etc. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY.

I could not use the facility for my needs, which I wish I had known beforehand. I ended up having to discard items I intended to keep. This storage facility is very outdated and should be brought current if you are going to charge current prices. On the other hand, the staff were kind and helpful.

Rented a truck to move heavy furniture expecting to have accessible storage. We asked to see the space when we picked up the truck but we're not allowed until we returned to unload. We were never told until that time that the storage room was 8 feet above floor level accessible only by heavy metal, steep, rolling, stairs making it impossible to carry up heavy large furniture. No other storage was available and we had to make emergency arrangements to store large heavy pieces.

All furniture was ruined with mold in only a few months. I had to pay U haul to ruin my stuff. I got a depreciated value for my items but not refunded for the time it was in there getting ruined I feel U haul owes me 190 for the 2 months rent. Ihad to pay someone to get all personal items out and took me weeks to clean it all. The people were really sweet but said they could not defund my money only the insurance company could do that and the insurance company said no they can't reimburse for anything uhaul billed. This was a nightmare

After our move from Denver and a long exhausting 30 hour road trip broke up into 2 days , the 2 young ladies in Winston-Salem on Marshall st. We're AWESOME!!! Couldn't have ask for more accommodating and friendly service . They were great in assisting us and made us feel like there were no worries and that they would take care of us , and they did ! They both should be commended!!!

The building is deplorable. Mouse traps in the storage unit the size of shoe box. There is animal vomit inside, on top of the one unit that you can see when you are going up the stairs. There is more.

The U-Haul facility on Marshall Street in downtown Winston-Salem is deplorable it is very unsatisfactory.. there is a leak in the roof which made the hallway to my unit flooded on the floor.

We chose an upstairs unit which got very hot and sometimes difficult for our college student to move boxes back and forth. Choose a downstairs unit if available. Had some rat droppings in the unit.
