I was slightly late on rental. I called to inform the store but was unable to through. My rental was retuned clean and gassed up but was charged an extra 60 $without notice. I always rent from this location and very dissatisfied with that service. The store was closed when I got back I'm to do the dro off it isn't like it was being rented againDarby S.

My first time rent was very good but second time was really disappointed because I standing long time in office pick up and drop up time and they show me maximum estimate fee was 73,84 $ and they charge 95,33 $. No one in the front desk for over 15 minutes when I arrived. Was simply handed keys, I had to maneuver 26 foot truck from parking stall, do walk around and orientate myself with the vehicle. Opened back of vehicle when I got home had to sweep out broken glass and some garbage. Explained disappointment on return, staff at that time were understanding and apologetic. Even though the young man working was very professional and friendly there was a very long line up at the counter (6 or 7 clients) at least a 1/2 hour wait. He had to do the lot work as well as the counter work. He accompanied every customer out to the lot while leaving the rest of the customers in line. The vehicle was filthy outside and the interior wasn't much better. It rode like it has 300 000 + km but the odometer read 83 000 miles. Next time I rent a vehicle or trailer from U haul I'd like it to be clean and well maintained.Trevor A.

I reserved a storage space a week ago and went to move in. The staff were very helpful and when i went to put some stuff in the unit it had 2 other locks on it advising another renter they had not paid their bill. These notices were on another 9 units just on the way to the elevator. So i was rented a unit that wasnt even available. Upon going and advising the staff they let me know thay didnt have anything else available. She said she would call and let me know before they closed after her walk around. I didnt receive a call and had to empty my car load back into the house. So now im looking at alternatives to uhaul as they are not reliable. Reservation was made a month in advance an I still never got the truck as long as I needed. There was a wicked shake to the truck after 80kms. So bad that furniture shifted and broke. When returned my bill was triple because the kms were submitted wrong. Staff how ever was great and fixed my bill to what I was quoteddavid L.
Staff were good, equipment was good, took a little more time than I would like to get in and out but it was the 31st of the month so I can forgive that. The frustration sets in when I book my trailer, choose my location and they take my money make the reservation..... that's when the other shoe drops, fast forward a couple days, phone rings..... we've moved your pick up location by 50 kms and pushed your pick up time and drop off time back by 3 hours.... why? Because it's convenient to U-Haul. Here's an idea, move the trailer to the agreed upon location? At the very least allow me to drop it off at a location that's not an extra 40 kms away. Equipment and staff are good at this location but in this day and age you would think that U-Haul could figure this stuff out. Leaves me bitter about the whole thing. At the end of the day I was out 169 kms of running around that I didn't agree to and pushed my rental back three hours, five hours if you include the running around to the non agreed upon location. It was difficult to access. I was not impressed that I paid 45 $on top of my already paid 110 $just to get out of there. My top up on gas was a little low. So I paid 1,59 $ /litre to top up, no big deal. But then I was also charged a 30 $"service fee" on top of that. I left feeling I had been robbed. Once again ad i do evrry time i rent i have to say i think your equipment is first rate but your web site is mediocre and your central booking system is atrocious. If i can not contact the actual location that i am renting from i will keep trying until i do or i will go elsewhere - i will not book thru central as the wait time is too long or the product isn't available and im offered the equipment at some ridiculous location or im offered alternative equipment which doesnt suit my needsLorne H.

Has to extend reservation - our apologies to the family that was bumped. No issue with 50 $charge. Card was charged for 2 day rental and preauth for 2 day. Major issues at checkout. Location was trying to charge 2 days + guarantee. Absolutely would not allow it to happen. When reviewing receipt at the end- the preauth was processed by uhaul - exactly what I was asking to have happen from the beginning. One employee threw hands in air and tried to walk away - manager should have trained him as this was the first guarantee he had done but she kept walking away from him during his frustration. In the end - she spoke to him only, handing him the paperwork for us and telling him to explain it to us. Will never use this location again.Justin B.

When I booked online at U-Haul I was given a time to pick up the vehicle. When I arrived there were seven people in line and two employees. One employee wandered around the lot and talked to the Fed ex guy for a period of time while we all stood outside waiting. No one was in a hurry to provide customer service. I understand You have a corner on the market when it comes to renting vehicles to move but I don't think that should mean your customer service sucks.The only employee that was helpful was a young kid when I return the vehicle. Maybe you need to hire more young people? Thank God I haven't moved in 21 years but this experience was not a good one.Kristine V.

I'm a CVIP inspector and mechanic, I was disappointed to see two marker lights where not working, I pointed this out to the associates, if I get a driving infraction I have to report it to the company I work for, luckily I wasn't pulled over but it needed to be repaired. It's really disappointing to hear that the cost of rental for a trailer goes up from 30 $to 466 $because of a supply and demand issue. I take partial responsibility in that I could have booked and brought a trailer from BC but you need to ensure that locations have enough trailers to prevent price gauging.TAYLOR W.

The office is well laid out and clean and tidy. All around the newer part is clean. When we went to look at the drive up storage unit the weatherstrip along the bottom of the door was missing and the unit hadn't been swept out. That was on a sunday, tuesday was there to unload and the weatherstrip hadn't been installed nor had the floor been swept. Your online telephone booking sucks Once the call goes to phoenix a person might as as well hang up because after a1-5 minute wait before someone answers the system is totally unreliable as to which location may have what you are looking for it will have you running from one-side of the city to the other. Online is pretty much the same , it has you spending huge amount of time entering data for a location which shows inventory of an item Then when you go to tesrve its not available and it bounces you out without saving a reservation or quot. Despite the crappy unreliable time consuming booking system i like the products offered. Thats the only reason I tolerate the tedious procedures online!Lorne H.

Drop off seemed to take longer then needed to, did not see any other returns coming in and I think I waited at least 6 minutes before anyone came out.Stephen L.
Registered for self pickup. The van I had been assigned was extremely dirty (soil and dirt) inside, and the furniture covers inside were also not removed. Obviously this was not ready for me with clean furniture covers and a moving dolly that I had requested. They offered to clean the truck out, but ended up giving me a different vehicle as I couldn't wait. Going inside to swap the vehicle was relatively efficient, but they did not have the furniture dolly I had requested and suggested I drive to another location to pick one up. When I suggested they contact the location to ensure they had one for me (since they were already charging me for it), they were on hold for about 15 minutes. Then a manager let the young man that was helping know that no one had any furniture dollies at that location either. I ended up leaving 30 minutes behind schedule. Checking the van back in was very straightforward. The staff were all good the whole time to deal with. The van performed admirably. The van measurements do not take into account the wheel wells on the inside of the truck. It's about 53 inches across, not 61 as advertised. Fortunately for me it was exactly adequate for what I was moving. If I would have been time pressed to return the truck after leaving 30 minutes late due to the dirty truck and lack of a dolly, I would have been upset, but fortunately my pickup went smoothly as did the return on the truck. The average rating reflects the truck being dirty, my supplies not being ready, and having to deal with having my invoice adjusted, as they were ready to charge my credit card more than the estimate, even though I was under on my mileage (they hadn't refunded the furniture dolly until I pointed it out).Steve K.

The storage container is dirty, full of ice and water. I was given another shed... only it belonged to someone else. Was given another unit, it was clearly too small. Ended up taking the dirty shed and laid boards down so my belongings don't get damaged. I had UHaul labour on site and I had to pay them for waiting around. I had no where to put my dust. I asked for the garbage and was immediately told I would be charged if I want to dump garbage. I explained no it just dust and dirt and some broken glass. The first person helping me appeared to be new to the company or self-storage side of the business. They were friendly, but missed providing me some information. It wasn't until another person stepped in and finished setting me up that I got all the information necessary, and was even guided to my specific unit. I moved my precious items, my life into this facility where the staff seemed sane and professional but turned around and evicted implying I slept in my unit which was absurd and absolutely not the case. I had my uhaul booked to remove my things next day the manager Johnathan said I wouldn't return the truck when I've always returned the trucks on time paid in full cleaner then I rented it and no reason to imply I slept in my unit as I came and went once a day he was 100 % just bullying me because I dressed different and or being native he just outright didn't like me. I had to leave all my items outside for the night as I hadn't planned another truck being denied for no reason by this jerk Johnathan. I lost everything, they stole nearly everything. I'll never forget that. Karma will pay it's due to these scumbags at winter burn uhaul one by one the greasy fat losers will suffer a great loss then spend eternal in loneliness like I felt that cold day. the only thing I would add is that when accessing the facility after hours, the track on the small door is very cumbersome to get the carts over and through when the access to the sliding doors are turned off. if this could be removed it would help out immensely. Someone did hit and run to my truck, which was right in front of cameras. But the manager was unable to pull the recorded images or videos. Secondly there is no schedule for the manager, usually he is not there in office hours. Lot's of littering on my truck, I found dirty pillows, towels, etc on my truck. The billing process was frustrating. When something went wrong on your side, letters were sent out without first contacting us personally. These letters got to a friend before they got to us. There was no email or phone call. When i got to the store i went straight to the counter, there was only one other customer buying a few things, not busy at all 2 staff were working, It took staff an hour of my time to get me set up on the computer, then another 30 plus minutes to take me and show me where the stall was, takes me to my stall to find out it was rented already, then need to wait to get a different unit and then wait to get a pallet placed in the unit. I went back up to the office to see where the person went (i waited over 15mins) and you had a customer outraged because he was waiting for an hour and no one was helping him, i read all the reviews for this store and majority of the reviews say the same thing, and against that i came anyway and thought it couldnt be that bad...but indeed it was.Theresa R. | Premières impressions

I had my unit broken into. A large quantity of my goods were stolen over the course of weeks, because I was never told that someone broke into my unit. I was then told that there was nothing that could be done and it happens. There was camera's and a security gate, but I didn't have a light in my unit the whole time which I did mention. I also had a hard time getting through when I called the majority of the time. Besides that staff was helpful and friendly. I had another storage unit I let my daughter use but then didn't have access to make arrangements on afterwards so it cost me an extra 260,00 $ after she had moved out which I didn't appreciate. I've been a long time customer spending at least 5 000,00 $ with Uhaul over the years. I also had mice in my unit which went though some of my stuff and not done unpacking it all so not sure all the damage it caused yet. Above and beyond. The young man that i dropped the vehicle to is doing a great job He was quick friendly easy to talk to and rushed to help me check the vehicle in. My opinion, he should get a raise or a bonus. Really impressed with the guy I the front who signed me in for the rental and storage. He was polite a knowledgeable and I was out the door with keys and a storage unit in under 20 min. Good help is hard to find. They both left a good impression. I have bee renting a space for storing my Blazer about a year now and I feel confident about the security Uhaul has on storage for customers. I am happy also Uhaul management amended my storage fees to match my pension dates for 9th of every month to 30th of every month.
