We had a van reservation and had a terrible time getting it honored as when we arrived we were told that they couldn't rent to us with an out of state license. Mind you, we dropped off a rental truck two weeks prior that we had driven from WA. We had to go home and bring back escrow paperwork for our Redlands home To prove we had a local address. This was a ridiculous waste of our time.David R.

The only problem I had was when I returned the trailer after hours, I called an 800 number to notify that the trailer was returned, initially it only took a minute for someone to answer but that person said she was going to transfer me to someone to-do a verification, at that point the recording said to hold for the next available person which took over a half hour before. A man answered who apparently could not hear me and after a minute or two he said to call back and try again. By that time my phone s battery was so low my phone shut off. I was going to call this morning to the store but I was tiered and ended up sleeping till after noon.thomas L.

They need to be more knowledgeable and provide options. One of the employees called me from his cell own phone number to tell me he lost his job and it was all my fault. Furthermore made passive-aggressive comments as well.Hector P.

App didn't work. Customer service from 800 number was horrid. Was supposed to receive call back for assistance with equipment return in 24 minutes, took 56 minutes. Notes to operator were not conveyed. If you value your cisternae as you say then hire more people so we don't have to waste our time!James B.

I would never use or recommend anyone to go to the Redlands and Alabama u haul hitch and rental.it took Four (4) months to get the job done. I have had trailers hitches installed at other u hauls in one day very disappointedtommie C.

Chase was extremely rude. I told him that the truck was blocked in and he said â€œooh okay, that's coolâ€ then I told him it said we are supposed to skip the line and get a key he responded â€œ you still have to wait in line, do you think a key is going to magically appear?â€ He obviously doesn't have any customer service skills. I won't be using this uhaul location ever again. Definitely won't recommend either.Denver D.

Truck has no gas in it when checking in. Also didn't have the appliance dolly I reserved. One person working the counter and 4 people in line. Didn't seem to care. Really bad customer service. The return was easier. Still jist one person worlingâ€¦Brent U.
Overall Terrible service and experience. manager makes no effort to accommodate customers after waiting a month for parts that were never ordered. Appointment rescheduled twice and installation took 5 hrs instead of 2! A failure in management and customer service.jason C.
Only one person was working and after I returned the truck it was not checked in until the next day when I went back to find out what the issue was. When I returned it, I was told "you're good to go, the receipt will go to your email." Later that night, I still hadn't received the email and saw online that the truck was still listed as being in my possession. It was very stressful and the staff was impatient and irritated with my questions about it. In addition, nobody was answering the phone at the location so I had to take time off work to go get it sorted out.Thomas S.

I paid for the truck rental before driving out of the yard. The mileage was predicted based on "from/to". But, due to the Caldor fire up in Placerville area, I was asked to deliver the truck to Shingle Springs thereby adding mileage that was not computed in the original rental. I went 20 miles over and was charged 56 $. I don't believe I should have been charged extra for accommodating UHaul's request to drop at a different location.kevin lee F.

When we had the truck loaded up and ready to go, it wouldn't start. My husband opened the hood and found the battery cable was loose. He tightened it and we were on our way. When we returned the truck, we told them what had happened, and they seemed to be aware of this problem with the battery cable. It would have been nice if they'd let us know there was a possibility of this happeningSteven W.

Brian customer service rep,was very friendly and knowledgeable,there was one thing with another service rep that made me a little upset,I asked if the rental included tie down straps,the person told me no,so I purchased straps,well to my surprise the trailer does have tie down straps,now I've got to return them for a refund,not a big problem but it's time consumingRuben B.

When I came back to pick up my vehicle, battery is dead, car won't start. Some error in the installation. My vehicle is a 2018 Kia with 56000 miles, not an old clunker. Now I'm stuck sitting at uhaul while they figure out the problem. This is NOT acceptable!DONNA B.

First time customer here. I rented a 9â€ van and I fit my stuff in one peace. The van was well maintained. I drove it seamlessly. Drop off after hours was over phone and the price was under 100$ drive from Redlands to SB to highland then Colton and back to Redlands . It was still hard work but I had a reliable car.Lizbeth I.

it took almost an hour to pick up the truck, 30 minutes waiting in line.. completely unacceptable..NARVELL H.
The location was clean and the employees were helpful but they didn't have the equipment I needed and could not provide me with a one way truck. So I had to come back to the location, which wasted 2,5 hours of my time. It is what it is. Guess they're just busy. But they need more equipment in stock. We had to lift a washer and dryer ourselves because they didn't have a furniture dolly.Andrea B.

The Uhaul network was down not allowing for a return receipt. I was in the store for approximately 40 minutes waiting while the employee tried to remedy the problem. It's seems with uhaul there are too many private and company offices using a network that doesn't communicate. When I changed my rental locations from Yucaipa to Redlands the Redlands office didn't have that info. I was behind another customer and he was going though the same poor experience.KEVIN M.

I appreciate the prompt and courteous service I received from the staff at this location. Luckily, I was able to reserve a cargo van rental at least a week ahead of time prior to moving date. Picked up the truck in the morning and uhaul system was down ( always the problem) but the employees did their best. Was told it was empty and turns out the gas was stolen so had to wait to get fuel because I couldn't start it. Turned it back in later that day and all workers seem like they hate their job. I don't know why I keep using uhaul, haven't had a good experience in years for the few times I use. At least in this location.Michael J.
