I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone again I was treated poorly by the U-Haul system in general. I was sent to locations that didn't exist I was sent to locations only to be told no we don't have that truck. I was treated very well by Judy in Moreno Valley Ca. But overall it was a terrible experience.

Generally all went well. Only problem was online rental to PU at 8:00am but after arriving told I had to wait until opening, 1 hr, before getting truck.

I reserved the truck a week ahead on your site, complete with all my credit card info. When my employee went to pick up the reservation (8am), he was told they needed the card to finish the transaction and it couldn't be over the phone. Why bother to do an online transaction?! He had all the pages from the conformation email with him. I had to leave my meeting and drive across town. They also told him the trucks' gas had been syphoned, and literally said "hopefully it would start so WE could fill it up." They said this happens all the time- then why didn't they make sure there was at least enough gas to get to a station?! The clerk seemed to be really out of it, kept staring at the desk for 2-3 mins at a time for no apparent reason. The 2nd clerk said she was going to make sure the truck was here and went out the back door. She told me my total was $193 (why didn't my online transaction not take care of this?), then when I put my card in the reader, the amount was almost $30 more than she had just said- $223. I asked why, and she said the 1st amount was for cash. WHAT?! OK, so I handed her $200 cash- she just stared at me for a min and said "we don't have change" Seriously? "no, we don't have any $5 or $10", so I asked if we could get the change when we came back, then she started to process it without giving me an answer, then said it'll be an extra $100. WHY? Just stared at me....I asked if it was for a deposit or something? She said "ya, I think so" At that point, it was well after 9:00 and we just needed to get this truck on the road, so I just went back to the card and paid. She gave us the papers, and eventually told us to go out the back door, pointed at the truck and handed us the keys. Then just closed the door, didn't go over anything, nothing. The other clerk never showed back up. It was so unprofessional, it blew my mind. My employee was appalled. My family has been renting from Uhaul my whole life, always professional service. Luckily we made it to the gas station and filled it up. Returning the truck was easy, and that clerk was friendly, efficient, and professional. Spoke to us like he actually knew where he was and not lost in space.

Check-in took extremely long. People were allowed to be inside for an extended period of time not wearing a mask. The attendant who helped me was not friendly and was short and seemed annoyed. I wont be returning.

The mobile check-in process after hours was frustrating. It gave poor instructions for finding the mileage on the odometer, and it didn't show the starting point on my contract. In essence, it asked me to provide proof of mileage with no way to do this accurately.

I was shifted to this location after two of my trucks weren't available at the location off of Cherry Valley. I received a call 2 days before my appointment because the original 26 ft wasn't available. I shifted to a 15ft because it was available at the location. When I got there at 6:30 am, not a single truck on sight. I was on the phone over 30 minutes constantly getting transferred to another person without a solution but a lot of attitude. Finally at 7:10, the closest solution was at a location 20 minutes, so I lost over an hour of my life. I run a small business, so that hour is important, especially during a pandemic. Luckily, the employees at the Redlands location provided excellent service.

Ryan was rude and combative. There were probably 6 people on the lot and no one but the girl helped. I called ahead to get directions as to how to pull in to the lot. I was told wrong and pulled a 26' rig with a tow dolly hauling my car making me 40' long, into the wrong "entrance". When I walked into the office, there was another customer and no Uhaul people. After a long wait, I looked around for someone. A male, who I later found out was Ryan, was sitting in an office playing on his phone. I asked if someone could help us to which he angrily said, "she's in the bathroom and will be out soon". Another customer came in and this Ryan character comes out of his office and starts to help the 3rd gentleman who indicates that he was just trying to get his Uhaul van out to fill it with gas before officially returning it. He went on to say that there was a Uhaul blocking it. That was me. Ryan said I had to move it. I told him, "I drove it in the way you folks indicated when I called ahead. There is a return sitting in front of my Uhaul and I can not back up. (the end of my 40' was almost still in the busy street)" Ryan continued with his nasty attitude and reluctantly moved the unit blocking the way. I pulled forward and tried to explain that I needed to drop the tow unit now for a partial return and bring back the 26' truck after unloading it. I asked for assistance in unloading the vehicle. I was told when I rented the truck and tow that the folks on the other end would help me do it. I am 61 years old and disabled, have lung cancer and am not strong. Ryan pitched a fit, yelled at me, told me he didn't have to do anything. It was absolutely awful. He was a total jerk. I had to pull out the heavy ramps and pulled a muscle in my back. Then I had to drive the car off the dolly which I had never done. It was nerve wrecking. Then, when I returned the 26' truck, the girl was there again. I was made to do the work of what should have been done by one of the 6 lot guys there. She had me get in the cab, test blinkers, lights, etc which should NOT be the job of the customer. When I asked her about it, she said it was just easier to have the customer do it so they knew the rig was ready for the next rental. Are you kidding me? I was shocked and put out as this added another 15 minutes in 100 degree heat to the time I had to spend getting checked in. Horrible customer service.

I have rented a AT twice and Both times when I get to the business that has my reservation They do not have the equipment and send me elsewhere to pick up the AT over 30+ miles away!!!

Keep a spare key for all of your vehicles. Mine couldn't be found for 45 minutes. Also you might want to make sure you don't give a customer a truck with zero gas in the tank. I've rented from this location many times and don't why I keep coming back. This store seems to be incapable of delivering even a semi positive experience no matter how many chances I give them. Under staffed, not too friendy and they certainly don't care about your time constraints. I was an hour late in arriving at a new clients to empty their garage. I will say that the company offered me a refund for my troubles, but my client said she would never call me or refer me to anyone again. Live and learn I guess.

Keep your promise!!!! I reserved a moving truck weeks in advance and confirmed the reservation online the week of the rental but when I showed up at 8am to pick it up...there was no truck!!! I was told this is a common occurrence due to company policy that does not enforce the timely return of the rental equipment. Richard bent over backwards to help me and an hour later he had a truck for me. Neither he nor I should not have been put in this position by such sloppy management and low standards. This was the second time in a row this has happened to me in just 2 months when renting from U-Haul. Lesson learned, From now on I will always try to use any other company first instead of U-Haul. This problem should be fixed by having clear and enforced return policies that penalize late returns. keep your promise U-Haul!

I was told my Tahoe R blinker did not work, when it clearly did. I had friends waiting for me to arrive with the 6x12 trailer when the yard guy unhooked the trailer...another was not available at the Redlands location. Turns out the trailers electrical connection was faulty and I had to keep pushing the manager to see this. Her tester showed my R blinker connection was a bit dirty but worked all the while the trailer R blinker connection was faulty. I almost lost the day of work and I was very frustrated with the overworked staff who did not have a "can do" attitude .The yard MX tech showed up and saved the day. He repaired the trailers connections. Kudos to the yard tech, no so much with the rest of the staff. I went for an hour not knowing if I had lost the day when my Tahoe was perfect. UNSATISFACTORY experience.No real help was offered finding another similar trailer, the staff/manager were OK with me loosing my day of work and not being able to help folks move into their new home. Will try a different location next time.

Appears the truck came from another location to fulfil my reservation. The woman who informed me as I was arriving at the location was very helpful. The truck was not "washed" but the cab cleaned prior to me taking possession. The tank had less gas than stated. The facility should be swept everyday. Each time I go there there are nails or screws on the pavement.

Drivers door of first truck I was given wouldn't close all the way. Second truck actually rode very well. Someone should clean the inside of the windshield, very dirty. When I dropped off I wasn't asked how the equipment worked or if anything needed attention. Nothing did, just thought someone would want to know.

I was initially hesitant to use this location because of the reviews I had read but was very pleased with the service and friendliness of the staff. My equipment was there and ready for me to connect when scheduled and the service could not have been better. Thank you so much!

Terrible customer service. The employees are so lazy they don't check for vehicle damage, gas or clean trucks... It takes too long to check out the vehicles because they're so unorganized and I can go on and on it's a terrible site the only reason we use it is because our warehouse is close by

I drove the vehicle 20 miles. The young man checking in the vehicle told me that I drove 64 miles and that's what I would be charged for. I told him it was impossible that I'd driven 64 MI. He said that unless I had a picture of the odometer before I left there was nothing he could do. That's a bunch of crap. I could tell you exactly how far I drove which was 20 miles.this is completely ridiculous that I'm being overcharged for mileage like this . I would never recommend this agency to any of my friends or family.

I reserved a van at the 110 S D St location, and the guys there made no effort to fix the situation until I put up a fuss. They kept telling it that the reservation wasn't confined, and it wasn't an actual reservation until it was, though I had an email clearly stating to pick up the van at the time I picked

Very rude customer service. Took long time to pick up the truck and was blocked in after going through a lot inside to leave. Had to wait more time and ask 3 times to unblock the truck to leave. Upon returning the truck (early) had to pay more gas when filled up to previous amount right before returning.

We came in contact with U-Haul Personell on both the phone to set up reservation and in person. The service all around was EXCELLENT, professional, and beyond reproach. They were very accommodating and personable. I will definitely contact this location again for all my moving needs and concerns. They extended a type of courtesy not so common in these times.

Still counting drawers when the doors opened. Password issues with one of the male employees at opening. I was the first one in line in the AM and it took be over an hour to get vehicle and leave. I had reserved the vehicle the night before. When checking back in at end of day, email could not get device to work in the parking lot. Need to fix these issues to keep customers "happy".

We had a poor experience using the app to check out the equipment. The information available in the app was incorrect or incomplete. Overall, it would have been a better experience to have used the counter. Returning through the app worked well though.

Had a lot of issues with scheduling the delivery of the UBox. Not able to schedule in time due to delivery truck issues, and also was delivered outside of the timeframe - had to take off work all day.

Just that during our ubox pick up it was not pick up on time.It took me 3 days on the phone for someone to finally pick our ubox and that day we are leaving.Driveway needsd to be clear by us.
