The truck issued was in poor shape. From the doors being difficult to close to the steering wheel having far too much play in it while driving. The individual who issued the truck was not friendly in any way and moved at the slowest speed possible.

The clerk was rude, unresponsive and was either stones or not awake. Every question I asked his response was "I dunno" he could not tell me if I could have someone else drive or if it was only me since my name was on the agreement. He couldn't answer my questions about toll booths and if uhaul will send me the bill. He told me there were no drop off locations near where I was going (1220 miles away) even though I picked one when I reserved the truck. He charged me nearly $200 more than my reservation quote and when I asked why, he said "I dunno" (I don't know). He did not go over the details of the insurance I purchased. The truck was filthy and covered in cotton, bird poop, bird feathers and dirt. You could not even see out the front windshield. He didn't even offer to fix this. Gave me a dirty truck and walked away. Didn't try to explain anything about the truck itself. I will never use this location again. He had no customer service skills and clearly did not care at all about his job. I would like to know why I was charged more than my quote and I would like a refund. This was the worst experience ever with uhaul.

Be more efficient, work on training your staff, and know your software. The clerk I was dealing with directly at first did not know how to fix or change things that were ordered. A more seasoned employee eventually straightened everything out. It would have been a less than ideal experience without him.

When returning the truck, there is a sign stating to "wait with the equipment". No one came out. Other patrons returning their equipment arriving after I did, went inside and were served ahead of me. I ended up going inside. After waiting in line for an additional 35 min, your employee to me that I could have left without being checked out. When I complained, he rudely finally agreed to check me out. This is not unusal for this location. This is a terrible Uhaul!

I waited 20 minutes to meet with a representative only to be told to do all the transactions with my phone. I was unable to complete the transaction with my phone. If the problem is that I am just stupid then not much Uhaul can do to fix this. Waited 30 minutes to meet with the same representative only to find out that I was at the wrong truck. I needed the truck in the back and the representative had to move the "wrong" truck anyway. Either way I was going to have to wait the 30 minutes to get customer service. Net result 50 minutes waiting in line to meet with an unhelpful representative along with another 30 minutes of phone work to physically rent a truck. In what is a stressful day of moving the worst part of the move was physically renting the truck. For what it is worth I will never rent from Uhaul again because of the customer service and the time it takes to physically rent a truck.

Location was changed after I selected a much more convenient location. The designated location cost me over an hour of extra time. The 1-800 help line was useless for information. The first trailer had bad lights and hence a second trailer needed to be hooked up - causing further delays and my time.

not so much the pick up point being the problem, but I ordered a 26 ft truck and after almost a 100 miles of running around and 2 hrs later I got a 20ft truck that did not hold all my belongings truck got 4 miles to the gallon and was out of wiper fluid, very unhappy with Uhaul, I called the day I dropped the truck off but stil no call back from uhaul

Poorly trained staff enabled another customer to cut in front of 10+ people, and then showed a total inability and disinterest in handling the situation. Left it to customers to handle. Put a line on the floor, mark where to stand or identify issues and resolve them when they happen. No customer service at all, plus the truck was filthy inside and out, completely uncleaned. I reserved 2 trucks in Denver and got dropped to 1 in Ft Collins so I should have known to expect more frustrating disappointments. I now know that I can't plan anything too tight if using Uhaul, you guys will let me down in new and unexpected ways every time.

My first appointment was scheduled for 2pm I did not leave there until 6pm. The technician went home with no resolve to installing a hitch for me. My second appointment was 9am the following morning I again left with no resolve for hook up for the hitch because they didn't have the right part. Why was I not told this before, on the first appointment?!!!

While this site was excellent, and ultimately I did rent a trailer the day I needed it, the process was long and frustrating. I reserved my trailer two weeks prior to my needing it and the day of pick up I completed my express check in. When I arrived at the location, no one was there and it was locked up tight. On my second call to Uhaul (disconnected from the first after being on hold and transferred several times) I was sent to a second location. No one was there either. Finally I was sent an hour away where I was promised someone would be there, and they were. 4 hours of total frustration/panic with 4 kids in the car but I guess I got my rental?

My reservation would not load on mobile pickup. When I went to the counter, there was not even a truck reserved for me. Luckily, one had just been returned that was the size I needed. But the process took so long that I was late to the closing for my new home. After using the truck, there was some miscommunication with my husband, and he filled the tank up full. Even though U-haul confirmed that we had only driven the truck a total of 13 miles, they would not credit us for the gas we put in the truck. They tried to tell us that the contract stated we only needed to fill up what we used. Fine, except I had never been shown, given, or signed a contract. No employee mentioned it to me at any time when I picked up the truck. The manager at this location helped us both times, and was rude and unhelpful at each. I will never rent a truck from this location again. Unprofessional process from start to finish.

I want to share that the employees working on this busy Sunday Morning did a good job of handling the impact. There was one customer that was being difficult and pushy, somewhat of a jerk in my view, they handled him appropriately while being professional. I have years I a service related industry and notice employees who remain calm and professional. They deserve this positive feedback.

I went to this location on Monday, June 24th. The agent took my reservation for Friday, June 28th at Noon. On Thursday, June 27th I received a text message saying that my pickup date and time was the 28th at 4:30pm. That would not work and I called UHaul. After more than a half hour on the phone the agent was able to lock down a trailer for me to pick up at Noon on the 28th. Your system should have never moved my reservation to 4:30pm. If the agent could find a trailer, your system should have made the necessary changes before sending me the text message on Thursday.

Have a clear place, probably with a big bright sign, to indicate where online pre registration customers can pick up their key code. It felt a little inappropriate to cut the line, without a clear indication via a sign or some other way as to why I was allowed to do so. This would also generate questions as to what that was about and get more people to register online, thus making happier customers and probably reducing your labor costs.

Was supposed to be a 24 hour rental where I pick it up at 10 a.m. arrived at 9:30 a.m. and had to wait an hour in line to then find out the truck wasn't ready and it wouldn't be available until noon where we then had to wait in line for 40 minutes to pick it up... returning it was equally a nightmare seems how we are supposed to do it all online yet no way to lock the key in the what is supposed to be provided lock box in the truck that was not there meaning I had to wait in line for another 50 minutes to return it. Not to mention they told me they didn't have any large box trucks available so I had to rent a small van and when I dropped off the van the guy that helped us stated they had multiple of every size available and we could have easily used one of the larger ones so I had to make multiple more trips then what I wanted to. No I do not recommend this uhaul branch and suggest avoiding it unless you have no other options

update your website to show the actual amount of available vehicles consistently, not say they’re available online and then be blindsided when going to the store and there’s mechanical problems with the equipment you reserved. also more staff, I was in line waiting for 20 minutes and all I had to do was return my van in person because the app wouldn’t let me. the staff were very nice helpful people tho.

scheduled an installation online. personnel at location changed the installation date and time. claimed that the online reservation was only a "request" not a confirmation. My confirmation does not say that anywhere. I'm pretty sure the personnel rescheduled it because they did not want to work past 3pm on Friday. should have other employee to accommodate. He even showed me the schedule and there was an opening at 3pm. I had to cancel the installation and will do it myself.

First of all, we rented a truck from a Windsor, CO location to start our move the previous Monday. Jerry had the equipment we needed ready to go. He provided excellent service. It was a pleasure working with him. We also hired moving help through the UHaul system. Very easy to do. These guys were great. We needed to complete our move on Saturday so we got online and requested a truck from a Loveland, CO location. We are moving to Loveland so this seemed the best option. For some reason the pick up time of our request did not appear in the online request. We placed a phone call to the local Loveland store where a rep took and updated our request. Unbeknownst to us our reservation was transferred to a Fort Collins location. We were made aware of this when we went to pick up the truck in Loveland. We now had to drive 6 miles to another location, further from our final destination, and with a later start time. The reservation system and the manner in which a request is transferred to another location is lousy. Upon arriving at the Fort Collins location we waited 15 minutes to be served as there were other customers ahead of us in the store. When we were finally served, the young man assisting us, Keegan Correia, did a poor job. He mumbled as he processed our order. Went to retrieve our truck and took 10 minutes to bring it to the staging area. Then he started cleaning the truck. The truck was not ready upon our arrival. There was even broken glass in the back of the truck The truck only had a 1/16 of a tank of gas. Why isn't there a full tank for the customer. Why should we have a "guess" how much gas is needed to bring it back. Fill the tank and we fill it upon return. We didn't leave the Fort Collins store until almost 10:00 a.m., an hour later than planned. We have taken advantage of UHaul services many times. This was the WORST experience. We have moved into a temporary situation at the moment and will move house again in about 8 months. We will definitely weigh all moving options following this experience. Cannot recommend UHaul at the moment. Steve McLaughlin

The approval process for the driving qualifications was ridiculous. We waited for 20 minutes for the page to load and it still didn't work. We had to go to the desk to get help and push us forward in the process. The page never ended up loading. While we had been waiting, I had messaged an agent twice and also never heard back. Hopefully, in the future, customers won't have to go through this approval process. Otherwise, everything was easy!

The customer service was terrible! 5 days prior to today I reserved a 15 foot truck with an appliance dolly and rented 6 moving blankets. When I arrived the truck was not there. I was told they were out of blankets and could not give me new ones to use. I was going to have to drive to another location to rent blankets. There were 5 staff standing around and there was no offer of sending one of them to get the blankets. The administration and planning of this location is terrible. With reservations 5 days prior to today they should have had the details ready when I arrived on time. I will not use this U Haul location again!

The biggest lack of customer service I've ever encountered. Mostly the people over the phone not the guys at the shop who turned around and fixed my reservation time and pick up on the spot. Over the phone how ever they told me 24 to 48 hours prior to my pickup that the auto hauler was in fact in Denver not fort Collins. I couldn't spend the 3 extra hours to go pick it up and the situation made me leave my personal truck back in fort Collins. So I spoke with a supervisor over the phone who told me I was going to be refunded 50$ to my card because of the inconvenience. cut to 6 days later I'm currently on the phone with a representative who is telling me that my refund was never processed or noted on my account and I will not be getting that back. Absolute garbage company and 100% untrustworthy. if I could have gone with a different company i would have but there wasnt another company in the front range that had a truck to offer.

Maybe because it was so busy, and no fault of the staff each of whom were doing a very good job with customer service, especially the woman that assisted me, the customer in front of me was obnoxious and rude/crude language, not directed at the Uhaul employee but the person with whom he was on the phone with, that ended up being directed to all around him including the employee. From a Uhaul control standpoint, your after hours return process could really be simplified. I was having trouble logging in with my phone (bad connection?) and then having trouble with the password. So I was worried - after I dropped the key in the lock box - that I would have trouble verifying my return. So later in the evening I did an online chat with a Uhaul rep to explain and was told to call the Ft. C location I rented from in the morning (putting the work to me to ease my mind). As it turned out, they did process my return and I did receive an email confirmation and all the charges were accurate. The condition of the truck on the inside at pick up was dirtly, especially a large drink spill that I was concerned I'd be held responsible for (I was not, but it was still an unnecessary concern). The latch on the truck at pick up and through the day did not go all the way into the lock opening so another concern the door might open. Was told to put truck under canopy if after hours return, there were trucks 3 - 4 deep in front of my return well outside of the canopy. No one's fault of course it was a busy moving weekend. The woman that assisted me was very friendly and I felt badly that she had to put up with such a difficult person in front of me, that came back into line again after I had left the lobby. . . .

The overall experience was horrible, but most of the blame falls with U-Haul in general and not the location. I made the reservation 2 months early and arrived to pick up my truck only to find out that I couldn't have it for the amount of time reserved. I had to have it back less than 24 hours from rental (because they needed it back). The original reservation was for 2 days. I couldn't pick up the key to my new place before the truck was supposed to be returned, so there was no way this would work. No-one cared, no-one could do anything. It was too late for me to find another rental truck in the area. I ended up having to take a smaller vehicle and make 2 trips (35 miles each way). I talked to people on the phone and in the office, all I heard was it was based on availability ("we're really busy and need the truck for someone else"). It didn't matter that what they were telling me didn't work for me and I couldn't figure out why my reservation didn't matter. So here's an idea - stop taking reservations if you don't have availability. This was my second bad experience with U-Haul and I wouldn't recommend the company to anyone. The reservation system stinks - nothing really matters until 24 hours before you pick up. I gave U-Haul a second chance, no more.

These guys were great as well! They reminded me when dropping off that if the gas was not filled up there would be an additional charge. They even pointed me to the closest gas station. Therefore no additional charge was added.

I’ve used Uhaul for 30 years. The trucks are never in that good of shape, but that’s to be expected. The place was like every other. Off to a decent start. Had a good time watching an employee somehow still manage to kiss his 26 foot truck up against another one trying to pull it out, even though he had a guy in front of him guiding. This particular truck had an impressive vibration the whole way there and back. Thought the windshield was gonna crack when it was loaded. It didn’t. They did mark the gas at 3/4 of a tank when it was a couple ticks under. Whatever. Highlighters are not precision writing Instruments. The reason this will be the last time that I ever use uhaul isn’t because of the half asleep unwashed mumbley dude at the counter or the mostly nonverbal Gump-like dude that handed me the keys. It’s because this company charged me a $100 “cleaning fee” for accidentally leaving like four little stacks of nested beer boxes in the back after destroying my soul for 14+ hours moving stuff. Total joke money grab.

There were too many different contacts during this process and made it very difficult to get straight answers. I understand how the process works now, but it just wasn't a smooth flowing process the entirety of the move. Also the 5 or 6 different charges for each step of the process was a hassle.

First off the changed whear my pick up was second they texted me that it had been changed they did not call me third I had to reschedule my appointment third the forgot to but the dolly on the trk costing me an extra 16.8 mile fourt when I returned the truck when I ask how many miles I had run your worker told me 46 miles I told him the milage on the paper was Rong and that the girl working these had taken 2 pictures of the difference by the time he talked to her it went up to 56 miles and if you look I made Shure the truck was an 8th over I will not do any transaction with this store I fell I'm owed at least 20$ back I won't some one to contact me 970-980-3049

They were three days late picking up the boxes, which caused problems. They never called me to tell me they wouldn’t get the boxes. I had to call each day and get an explanation as to why they hadn’t.
