The approval process for the driving qualifications was ridiculous. We waited for 20 minutes for the page to load and it still didn't work. We had to go to the desk to get help and push us forward in the process. The page never ended up loading. While we had been waiting, I had messaged an agent twice and also never heard back. Hopefully, in the future, customers won't have to go through this approval process. Otherwise, everything was easy!

The customer service was terrible! 5 days prior to today I reserved a 15 foot truck with an appliance dolly and rented 6 moving blankets. When I arrived the truck was not there. I was told they were out of blankets and could not give me new ones to use. I was going to have to drive to another location to rent blankets. There were 5 staff standing around and there was no offer of sending one of them to get the blankets. The administration and planning of this location is terrible. With reservations 5 days prior to today they should have had the details ready when I arrived on time. I will not use this U Haul location again!

Then he said online was wrong, the truck wouldn't latch, I told him I wanted another one then he said he thought it will be ok. He was literally standing on the latch trying to get it to close, I literally will never use this place again, home Depot rents trucks

Truck had been smoked in, and had burn damage due to smoking in cab. After I called, staff did make note in file so I would not be charged. Equipment was kind of dirty - had to go take it to wash to clean is up some. Truck ran ok.

The biggest lack of customer service I've ever encountered. Mostly the people over the phone not the guys at the shop who turned around and fixed my reservation time and pick up on the spot. Over the phone how ever they told me 24 to 48 hours prior to my pickup that the auto hauler was in fact in Denver not fort Collins. I couldn't spend the 3 extra hours to go pick it up and the situation made me leave my personal truck back in fort Collins. So I spoke with a supervisor over the phone who told me I was going to be refunded 50$ to my card because of the inconvenience. cut to 6 days later I'm currently on the phone with a representative who is telling me that my refund was never processed or noted on my account and I will not be getting that back. Absolute garbage company and 100% untrustworthy. if I could have gone with a different company i would have but there wasnt another company in the front range that had a truck to offer.

Maybe because it was so busy, and no fault of the staff each of whom were doing a very good job with customer service, especially the woman that assisted me, the customer in front of me was obnoxious and rude/crude language, not directed at the Uhaul employee but the person with whom he was on the phone with, that ended up being directed to all around him including the employee. From a Uhaul control standpoint, your after hours return process could really be simplified. I was having trouble logging in with my phone (bad connection?) and then having trouble with the password. So I was worried - after I dropped the key in the lock box - that I would have trouble verifying my return. So later in the evening I did an online chat with a Uhaul rep to explain and was told to call the Ft. C location I rented from in the morning (putting the work to me to ease my mind). As it turned out, they did process my return and I did receive an email confirmation and all the charges were accurate. The condition of the truck on the inside at pick up was dirtly, especially a large drink spill that I was concerned I'd be held responsible for (I was not, but it was still an unnecessary concern). The latch on the truck at pick up and through the day did not go all the way into the lock opening so another concern the door might open. Was told to put truck under canopy if after hours return, there were trucks 3 - 4 deep in front of my return well outside of the canopy. No one's fault of course it was a busy moving weekend. The woman that assisted me was very friendly and I felt badly that she had to put up with such a difficult person in front of me, that came back into line again after I had left the lobby. . . .

The overall experience was horrible, but most of the blame falls with U-Haul in general and not the location. I made the reservation 2 months early and arrived to pick up my truck only to find out that I couldn't have it for the amount of time reserved. I had to have it back less than 24 hours from rental (because they needed it back). The original reservation was for 2 days. I couldn't pick up the key to my new place before the truck was supposed to be returned, so there was no way this would work. No-one cared, no-one could do anything. It was too late for me to find another rental truck in the area. I ended up having to take a smaller vehicle and make 2 trips (35 miles each way). I talked to people on the phone and in the office, all I heard was it was based on availability ("we're really busy and need the truck for someone else"). It didn't matter that what they were telling me didn't work for me and I couldn't figure out why my reservation didn't matter. So here's an idea - stop taking reservations if you don't have availability. This was my second bad experience with U-Haul and I wouldn't recommend the company to anyone. The reservation system stinks - nothing really matters until 24 hours before you pick up. I gave U-Haul a second chance, no more.

I’ve used Uhaul for 30 years. The trucks are never in that good of shape, but that’s to be expected. The place was like every other. Off to a decent start. Had a good time watching an employee somehow still manage to kiss his 26 foot truck up against another one trying to pull it out, even though he had a guy in front of him guiding. This particular truck had an impressive vibration the whole way there and back. Thought the windshield was gonna crack when it was loaded. It didn’t. They did mark the gas at 3/4 of a tank when it was a couple ticks under. Whatever. Highlighters are not precision writing Instruments. The reason this will be the last time that I ever use uhaul isn’t because of the half asleep unwashed mumbley dude at the counter or the mostly nonverbal Gump-like dude that handed me the keys. It’s because this company charged me a $100 “cleaning fee” for accidentally leaving like four little stacks of nested beer boxes in the back after destroying my soul for 14+ hours moving stuff. Total joke money grab.

There were too many different contacts during this process and made it very difficult to get straight answers. I understand how the process works now, but it just wasn't a smooth flowing process the entirety of the move. Also the 5 or 6 different charges for each step of the process was a hassle.

First off the changed whear my pick up was second they texted me that it had been changed they did not call me third I had to reschedule my appointment third the forgot to but the dolly on the trk costing me an extra 16.8 mile fourt when I returned the truck when I ask how many miles I had run your worker told me 46 miles I told him the milage on the paper was Rong and that the girl working these had taken 2 pictures of the difference by the time he talked to her it went up to 56 miles and if you look I made Shure the truck was an 8th over I will not do any transaction with this store I fell I'm owed at least 20$ back I won't some one to contact me 970-980-3049

I had a horrible time setting up this uhaul. I had the reservation complete weeks ahead of time. I had changed it to pick it up 1 day prior, which was confirmed with an email and 2 phone calls because the person I chatted with made a separate reservation without telling me, problem 1. I went to pick my truck up at the reserved location and found that the location canceled my reservation had been canceled. The person who helped me found me a new truck to reserve, thank goodness... If she hadn't my ENTIRE move would have been a disaster. Now I had to go to a different location, now 3 hours behind my move, problem 2. This whole thing could have been avoided and it caused undue stress.

The mobile app for self check out of a truck is a decent idea with horrible application. It transfers the work of the employees onto the customer and does not end up saving any time for the customer; simply more work. Customer service has always been poor at this location.

The location I was told to pick up the truck in Greeley did not exist, then I was called and told the truck I had reserved almost a week earlier was unavailable, and the nearest location that had what I needed was in Fort Collins. Once I got to the Fort Collins location, the whole experience was pleasant, but that does not compare to the absurd hoops I had to jump through just to receive something I was assured I could pick up in Greeley.

Have your website actually give the correct price and location of your services, especially when making a reservation. After my experiences (3 total) I'm much, much less likely to choose uhaul again. In this most recent experience I was quoted online for a $0.29/mile rate, but when I actually went to pay I noticed that the rate was switched to $0.69/mile (or rather prorate to a cover $80 charge (instead of $19.95) plus 0.29/mile over 100 miles). Baiting and switching is an illegal business practice, not to mention unethical.

The move was a disaster based on U-haul working with Movers.com. Movers.com did not have reliable moving people that were chosen. My move did not go well. It began late thanks to movers.com and we ended up having to drive an hour and half to pick up our ubox, unload it ourselves and return it. ALL after paying in advance for the delivery service once it arrived in Indiana. I don't blame U-haul except my opinion is don't team up with certain of their help for anyone again with Movers.com.

I had a blowout with trailer tire. I called U-Haul service at 10pm, service guy said he received call at 10:45. He was located 7 minutes away from my trailer stranded on side of interstate. He showed up at 12:25am to change the trailer tire and I was back on road at 1am, very tired and very angry that this service took 3 hours. Sounds like U-Haul pays more money after midnight for service calls and thus the unnecessary long delay. Recommend: pay incentive to service calls if complete within 45minutes, keep customer safe and happy?

New auto check in is a disaster for customers and staff of this location. To be clear, the staff did their best to help everyone. My truck wasn't even at the location for pick up. I spent over an hour trying to get my rental, mostly because it wasn't there and then the process required an off-location agent chat due to issues with the registration process. I wouldn't steer people away from this store because of the staff or equipment, but would caution anyone considering UHaul that has electronic use issues to try someone else. What a mess. I ended up with a smaller truck, so multiple trips required, again, only because the truck I ordered wasn't delivered. Once this was sorted out, the employee did a great job getting me on my way in a smaller truck. He wasn't happy about it either. When I got my truck (I was number two in the store that morning), there was at least 8 people in line, more than half of them heads-down on their phones trying to navigate the online check in process. Probably won't use the system again.

There was nothing wrong with the truck itself, the employees at this location are horrible people! Asked on phone if quoted price included tax, or if there were any additional fees for paying in cash, was told quoted price included eveeything. When got to location to pick up truck was told had to pay additional 73.00 on top of quoted price for tax and 100.00 deposit fee for paying in cash. Was told would get back cash deposit at drop of location. When i turned truck in at drop off location, was informed that i should NOT have been charged a deposit as drop off locations can't guarantee having the cash. Now have to wait for a check in the mail to get deposit back. I am very hesitant to use Uhaul ever again since employees at pick up place straight up lie to your face

Called to reserve a trailer was told it was 29.99 for 6 hours. Got to the location was told I have to purchase the ball joint assembly for 25 dollars and insurance for 8- total after tax was 70 bucks.... more than double what I was told when I reserved the trailer. You need to rent the ball joints too I have no need to own one and was extremely dissatisfied. Ripoff

I would have put yes for the last question, as long as you work with anyone but mikaela. It was barely noon, and she 1. Wasnt listening to me when I was giving her answers, constantly misspelling my address, which is still not correct on the contract. 2. Didnt know the difference between the word Maserati and Mitsubishi, and caused a delay in me leaving because I repeatedly said Mitsubishi and she "could not find it". Till I went to the screen and pointed the word out to her 3. She continued to say that she was tired and it has been a long day, when it was barely noon, and would ask me questions about what I'm pulling, then ask the same questions to my partner, who had nothing to do with the towing, it was super disrespectful. She seemed to maybe have worked there for a while, so I felt my service with her was immature and unprofessional and caused a 15-20 min delay on my original leave time. The service was fine when I called ahead, reserved my spot and got all questions s answered on the phone. I was immediately disappointed once I arrived at the store with her lazy service.

Keegan Correa was less than professional. He seemed more interested in getting his music playlist on his phone than helping me get hooked up to the trailer. He would benefit from some customer interaction training in being aware of people’s time and trying to be more efficient on the job. Hopefully he is just new but he seemed to not know a lot about how the computer system works he was doing a lot of time looking at the screen maybe he just needs glasses best of luck I will not rent ever again from this U-Haul

The guy who hooked up the truck to the trailer complained about us "taking all their blankets", was not friendly, and did not do the proper look over with us prior to our departure. This led to us getting halfway home and realizing that one of the trailer brake lights was out. The very big inconvenience it created could have been avoided if the pre-check was completed as we were informed they were supposed to do.

Our rental started out well as we secured the 26ft truck online for a one way trip 1,100 miles. The problems started when we went to pick it up. The first issue was we had spoken to the representative at the store when confirming our rental and were informed that we could haul our trailer behind the truck with our own hitch ball. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the hitch was welded on and had a 2” ball, not the size we needed. They had no other one way truck available, though there were other trucks in the yard, so we would not be able to haul our trailer and subsequently had to leave it at a storage to return at a later date to get it. This will be a huge added cost to us. I then noticed a slash in the side wall of a tire and it needed to be replaced. They had not seen it when the truck was previously used. I was informed they would fix it but the truck would not be ready until 1:00p.m. We had it scheduled for pickup at 7:00a.m, when they opened to load that day and leave the next. They called us at 2:00pm that it was ready, so we lost over 1/2 day to load, which delayed us a day. When we picked it up, the fuel gauge was now down 1/4 tank but they did not change what they had previously marked on the paper, so we would be providing more fuel when we returned it. When we drove the truck, it was very loud as the driver window did not seal correctly. For a two day trip it was irritating. All in all it was not a good experience and will cost us hundreds of dollars more to get our trailer, though they did take off $100.00 of the bill.

I appreciate this location for having a truck for me to rent but my problem is that I was rerouted to this location after reserving a truck at another location. I had to relocate to this location, losing time on my overall rental. I didn't even receive a courtesy phone call saying that my reservation was moved. In addition to that problem, I had a gift certificate that I entered in and then was charged the whole amount. Currently on hold still trying to get this fixed. Very frustrating company to work with

I saw a lot of negative reviews on this location. Such as equipment not being on site when it was reserved, rudeness and unprofessional staff. I was skeptical on using this facility but they were the only ones who had a Motorcycle trailer in NOCO. My experience was good! Mason took care of my rental in a very professional manor & was very courteous. the Gentleman who checked me in Saturday 4/22 was equally as professional!! So overall I say thumbs up. My only recommendation is to have a Motorcycle trailer at each location for more widespread availability.

Incompetent staff. Not helpful at all. My overall experience was horrible. Told I was given a 15' truck when I actually had reserved a 20' w/ a over a week's notice. There were multiple 20' trucks on site. Online chose a truck trailer to tow my pick-up and my specs resulted in a trailer that would fit. Upon arrival, my truck came no where near fitting *and this was also after an operator told me it would fit as well. My I had to ask someone to actually take off work and drive the vehicle as a result. Also: chose the option for 24/7 early pick up of moving truck and operator put 7pm instead of AM and had to scramble to make appropriate arrangements which threw off my moving schedule. Overall the worst, most inexcusable part was the lack of urgency to rectify the situation with the staff who did not help me, or seem to care at all at the Huntington Hills location. Could not even understand the one "boy" at all because he mumbled and spoke very, very quietly. Until his lunch arrived, then he was totally understandable to the food delivery guy. Awful, awful experience. I would like compensation and some sort of refund please.

While we were loading the van, I got a call that they forgot to tell me the car trailer eouldn’t be there till 6:30pm when I reserved it for 9:30am!?! Um, NO! Called & talked to Mackenzie & she gave me the run-around & said she’d call as soon as the trailer was turned in at 6:30pm! Again, NO! I had luckily picked up the manager’s card (Larry) & he found a trailer at the location I had originally reserved the van & trailer through (King’s Auto in Fort Collins). Whatever, when I picked up the trailer & they were EXTREMELY helpful loading the car & attaching the trailer for a $20 fee, I was told the person turned it in to the wrong location. Was that so hard to coordinate for the girl I talked to originally!?! Not sure why, but all was well at the end b/c we loaded up the van, picked up the tow trailer & got on the road to PA w/out a delay! Just disappointing I had to escalate the issue & had to get upset at all. Seems like an easy fix.

When we arrived, there were 2 stations open and 4 people waiting in line. After one employee got done with their customer, he left the station and another station was not opened. However, there were numerous people waiting in line to get busy moving! I counted six people in line behind us (two in front of us) and still only one employee checking people out. Employees were coming and going in the building, but not a single word of "it won't be too long" or even a "thanks for waiting". Miraculously, after 15 minutes, two employees showed up and opened their stations. Once we got to a station, not a single word of "sorry, busy morning" or "thanks for choosing u-haul". Nothing. You would think SATURDAY MORNING......people might want to move on a SATURDAY?? Anyway, once we were checked out, we were helped by a nice guy who showed us the truck. Alas, once we loaded one load, the door latch wouldn't catch. We had to rig it to get it to close. THEN, stopped at a stoplight, someone opens my door and says, "the door is open! you are about to lose a bunch of things!!!". Sigh. What else? When we returned the truck, we told the employee - again - not a single word of "Oh my gosh! We are sorry". But it was, "yeah, it doesn't latch". not sure if u-haul will be my go to truck rental anymore.

The person that helped us with our reservation was frustrating. He was extremely slow and and had to start over from the beginning 3 times. He asked me the Address of where we were going at least 10 times. When he finally got the reservation to go through they said there was a problem with my husband having an "E" alert. So we had to call and talk to someone from corporate. So than we rented it in my name and had to restart the reservation with that guy and had to put in all the information from the beginning. The other employees that you had at that location were able to get 5 customers checked out and out the door while we were still sitting there redoing out reservations. We were frustrated enough that I was searching other rental places while he was doing our reservation because we were thinking about going somewhere else. I never complain about employees but this guy was so slow and it just seemed like computers were new to him and he could have used a lot more training. Everything else and all the other employees were great and I would have given 5 stars.

The renting of the truck in Fort Collins, Co went great, however we were suppose to return it to Rickers in Nixa, MO on Monday by 3:00. We actually took it in a day early, on Sunday. We dropped the key where we were suppose to. On Tuesday morning we got a text saying we were late returning the truck. I then had to call them to get it straightened out. Rickers never checked it in. The requirement to install an app on your personal phone at a location where there is no wi-fi, and go through the tedious process of taking photos of both sides of your license 4 times, is ridiculous, considering the fact that there were at least FIVE employees that I could see, that should handle the check in process. I will never ever spend good money on renting a U-Haul at any place that puts customers through this nonsense. It took me an hour to complete a process that should have not taken longer than 15 minutes, considering the amount of other customers present. If this is the direction your company is headed, at least supply some tablets or kiosks that customers can use. I will say that the actual human employees seemed friendly and professional though. I feel bad for them for having to explain this awkward and inconvenient system to employees who are preparing to go through the huge labor of a move.

The online after hours return process is way too time-consuming and cumbersome. It also is confusing and has questions which cannot be fully answered, and requires pictures to be taken, which is part of the time consuming stuff. In the end, The manager there helped me out a great deal the next day on the phone with the issues I had, and gave me excellent customer service! The most confusing part is the cleaning fee. When I read on my online return that there would be a $25 cleaning fee I thought that was ridiculous. I will never pay to have a rental companies vehicle cleaned, because I don’t own it it’s not in my vehicle, clean your own vehicles.

Everything went well with the online/app system for checking in and returning the rental vehicle. One thing that kind of upset me though: Upon renting the truck and getting about halfway done with our load, I realized that this truck did not come equipped with one of those sturdy and long loading ramps. I called my local Uhaul branch and they said that the truck I rented was the only model that did not come with this particular feature. This meant that we could not move the heaviest furniture and have to put off that project for another day. This was an oversight on my part, which I do admit. I should have read the fine print more closely to know what I was buying. However, it's something that might be made more clear to help future customers better understand their purchase.

Honestly, the check-in process was extremely frustrating for us. We were told that there was a trial run for “self check in”, which would require us to Che k in ourselves, on our mobile device. While 4 employees stood behind the desk talking about what they were going to eat for lunch, we struggled with the app for 10 minutes. We encountered technical difficulties (which one of the employees did assist us with) and ultimately we were able to complete the reservation. We then were told that the employee “wasn’t sure” where our vehicle would be located, but it was our responsibility to go out in the parking lot and find it. Once we walked around the lot entirely, we came across our truck. It took a significant amount of time to complete the registration process, so much so that we didn’t leave the facility for 30 minutes. It’s hard for us to imagine what a person would do who didn’t have great cell service or even a smart phone, but we were told by the employee at the desk that “pretty much everyone has a smart phone” and apparently receiving physical assistance would be a “last resort”. We’ve already told friends and family not to go to this Uhaul due to the “self check in” process, that causes the customer headache and spares the employees from actually assisting at the counter. Sadly, these employees will eventually lose their jobs if this self check in process becomes the norm, although now it seems like a “break”, giving them time to chat, eat and relax.

I'm an engineer who works with and writes software on a daily basis, so I'm no yahoo when it comes to using apps. On top of the incredibly frustrating app, I was blown away that UHaul did not provide the staff a backup for when things were not working with the app. On top of all that, the truck was released to me without a full tank of gas(I have photo documentation) so I indicated I did not agree with the charges yet there has been no followup. I would like to see UHaul reverse all charges for my rental on Feb 14, for foisting a not-ready-for_release app which wasted my time when trying to prep my home for contractors arriving the next morning. They were three days late picking up the boxes, which caused problems. They never called me to tell me they wouldn’t get the boxes. I had to call each day and get an explanation as to why they hadn’t.

The people working in the warehouse are courteous, but the manager & entire experience with U-Haul was absolutely awful. I will never use U-Haul again, and neither will my family and friends.

We rented 3 U-Box containers. The people who delivered them were very nice and helpful. The containers came on trailers which we had not accounted for and there were trash and debris in two of them.
