Mobile pick up and return did not work. Was charged 88 dollars at pick up and then total came to 114 and I didnt receive any receipt as to what the additional 40 dollars was for. I returned it with 7 gallons more fuel than it had at pick up. I'm a bit irritated at the lack of receipt detailing charges.
Very professional staff. I would highly recommend this location
This location was great to us after we had gone through many hoops with the U Haul company itself. We reserved our U Haul at a location 5 minutes from our house. Then, the night before pickup, our location got changed to a location about 45 minutes away. That next morning, we put the new location in the GPS and realized it was closed. Had to settle for a smaller trailer after about an hour on the phone with U Haul.
This was so strange... in Dallas, the folks went out of their way to make sure my trailer was hooked up and that I was taken care of. On the return end, I rolled onto the parking lot and asked a young man in a U-haul shirt if someone could help me take the trailer off my vehicle as it was my first time ever towing one. He looked at me like I was an idiot and asked “you really don't know how to take it offâ€? I explained this was my first time and that the guys in Dallas were super helpful and helped put it on for me and assured me I'd be able to get some help on the other end since I was new to all of it. He pointed to the back of the lot and said to “put it it over there with the other trailersâ€. I explained that I really wasn't comfortable backing the trailer it into the parking space, and he said to just drive it back there and someone would be back to help detach it. We drove it to the back and found a spot where we could pull through. The same guy came up and made a buzzer sound at me like I was in a gameshow and said “wrong ... you need to put it over there (pointing further back) by where the COVERED trailers are. (I had mistakingly put it near some uncovered/open ones.) I seriously couldn't believe be literally buzzed at me and was making me move the trailer again. But by this time, I was getting upset and just wanted to be DONE with U-Haul. So I again moved my vehicle (trailer still attached) further back on the lot for someone to come and help me. The same gentleman who buzzed at me then came up and took the trailer off my vehicle and checked it in on his phone and told me I was good to go ?! What a completely opposite customer experience than I had in Dallas. While I'll left Dallas genuinely impressed with the hard work of the guys at the U-Haul shop - I left the Huntington Hills location never wanting to do business with U-Haul again
Fulfill the promise, i.e. - A storage unit was promised to be available on arrival; there was no unit available - a great disappointment.
Very friendly They knew there job and did a great job with customer service
Re-train or fire your general manager at U-Haul of Huntington Hills Fort Collins Colorado Jeremiah is the biggest jerk in the world
Acknowledge customers when they walk in the door, especially when the line was stretched to the door. Nobody really had a sense of urgency in addressing customers needs.
Only briefly spoke with younger male worker In the drop off area. He was friendly but not very happy to see another customer bringing in what appears to be more work for him. He completed the check in and asked if I needed help unhooking my own trailer. I said no b/c in a hurry & he pointed where it was to be parked. He just seemed tired & annoyed
Definitely the busy season for moving?? one problem that I ran into that put me off was that when I tried to call to confirm my reservation and even trying to contact the location because we were running behind I wasn't able to get ahold of anyone in a timely manner or at all. I spent about 20-30 minutes each phone call and found that my call dropped several times by no reason on my end. However , everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful and I was even transferred to another rental when mine wasn't available , but more support is needed to handle the larger flow of customers
Would leave zero stars if I could. Absolutely awful communication during pickup, and I was checked out by the manager, who I had to walk through the garage to the back to find after waiting 15 minutes in the lobby, and he's annoyed I walked through the garage, instead of apologizing for me waiting a quarter hour. He then proceeds to get me out the door as quickly as possible, and I didn't know about the checklist I got by text until I had already driven to my first destination. I asked about a lock and key for the back door, and he said it was in the back of the truck so I left without looking. At this point it is a given through context that the lock and key are included in the rental. There was however, no key in the back of the truck. I contacted customer service which was a headache (and I was NEVER told a lock and key weren't included, even when this whole discussion was about exactly that), and was told I'll get called back by the store, which I did, and I came back later to get a padlock, which the manager explicitly stated wasn't going to charge me. I assume I would return it obviously. I return to check in the vehicle, and was ignored for half an hour (actually missed lunch with a friend because I figured this shouldn't take more than a few minutes) after I handed the keys off while waiting to discuss the extra miles I drove to return for the padlock, since driving to and from the uhaul location was the longest stretch of my move, and was ONLY THEN notified that a lock and key aren't included in the rental, and was verbally harassed and patronized by the very man who failed to inform me about these things while checking in. I work in the service industry and have massive respect for others who do as well, but the management at this location is abysmal and I should've trusted the reviews. The truck also had tons of unknown stuff and lots of glitter all over the floor as well, thank god for mattress protectors.
The two men were friendly and professional. Thank you for accommodating me and changing the drip off location to a place that was far more convenient for me.
my paper work was not found in the system i needed to go inside and this took 20 mins so i would have a copy of the return durning my trip i would receive emails that my uhal was cancelled what a mess
I was charged 10 dollars for moving pads that I didn't have nor use. I don't think that's good business practice.
I am po'd that the original reservation at the Sunny Jims location in Loveland did not rent to me, claiming the vehicle needed to go to Denver for maintenance. But, the quoted rate was $19.99/day + miles. This location DID NOT EXPLAIN they were billing me $79 per day with 100 miles included. I was screwed twice. Make these people PRINT THE CONTRACT before you sign it.
The trailer was littered with broken glass, broken mirrors, nails, nuts and bolts from the previous user. This was not acceptable.
Stop taking reservations online at one location that you can't fulfill. My reservation was automatically routed to another Uhaul location, and between confusing multiple calls and “confirmations†I arrived on the day of my reservation to learn my rental pickup was “scheduled†at a different time that what I originally requested. Since I was apparently expected to pick it up at that different, earlier (and inconvenient) time, the trailer was rented to someone else WITH NO EFFORT TO CONTACT ME. I was furious to learn that I had “lost†my rental due to this ridiculous change of pickup locations and botched communications that changed my reservation plans without my knowledge prior to the day/time I expected to pick up the trailer. I did not appreciate the attitude of the counter person at University Hills uhaul, or the fact that when I returned the trailer the following day the “check-in†person could not identify the trailer using his portable device. Overall an extremely disappointing experience from front to back. Not of a mind to ever rent from Uhaul again.
I ordered a 5x9 trailer, before pickup time I was notified that they didn't have any and were upgrading me to a 6x12 utility trailer. Instead of honoring the original price, I was not given the free upgrade due to uhaul's mistake and had to pay for the bigger more expensive trailer that I didn't even reserve. Pretty annoying.
Better inspect the tires - we barely made it 15 miles from the uhaul location before the tire went flat. Better respect reservations. I had reserved an enclosed trailer but when I got there the trailer was not there.
First of all, my pickup location was changed less than 24 hours from pickup time. The new location added 50 miles to my trip, which was added to my free miles - so thank you for that. The time and gas was on me though. The wait time at the location was greater than 10 minutes, and there were only 2 customers in front of me.
Jerimiah and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We really appreciate the customer service and support. I have always rented from the Huntington Hills location and will continue to do so and recommend them to all.
Was told on the phone, the extra day rent (actually 3 hours) would be $ 20.00, was not told about any hidden fees. When I returned the trailer in was charge over $ 42.00. Hidden fees is was not told were for Tax, Service fee, Insurance fee and a special Colorado trailer fee. Which i don't understand because i did not have to pay that when i picked up the trailer. All of this has lead to a very unhappy experience with U-Haul. The individual rental places were OK however the corporate service and communication sucks.
It amazes me that you are still in business, I have yet to have a GOOD experience with U-haul, its mostly a disaster. And after this last rental, I WILL NEVER USE YOUR COMPANY FOR ANYTHING, EVER AGAIN. I hope a company comes along and crushes you, should be hard, just don't be horrible to your customers.
Make sure the team follows all social distancing requirements themselves, if they are going to mandate it of others. Caegan was rude and disrespectful and talked of driving over cars in the lot with a "monster truck".
