We could not figure out the return instructions after hours? Had to drive 20 miles out of way. So then we left truck (2 days earlier than we had to) and had to drive all the way back next morning. We are very conscientious and worried about truck. When we returned the young than tells us we didn't have to do that???! She was very nice, sorry for extra steps, all we had to do was leave keys. Why in the heck doesn't UHaul just say that in plain English?! Then we get charged for full price? Uhaul made a bundle on us? ThanksFrank B.
When I arrived Saturday morning, there was a line of a few people. I understand the economy is still a little slow, but it would help if they had one or two more people working the counter. My service was good after a few minute waitâ€¦Christopher L.

Super nice customer service! The staff seemed to really enjoy each other and working there. I was there for 2,5 hours while we they put on a hitch. Despite surroundings, I listened to the team and it was refreshing and comforting to know they were there for us, the customer. Good job on hitch to! Omg, they even forgot to give me two small parts. The back up camera was not working on our truck. It would only come on a few times. It made backing up difficult. We had a minor accident with our transporter because of this. Please check camera before renting. TYRyan C.

This was an absolutely infuriating transaction. I reserved a 6 x 12' enclosed trailer on my credit card. This was to be picked up at 4:00pm on July 31. I arrived on site at 3:55pm and spoke with the agent. He seemed to have trouble accessing my reservation. Then he finally pulled it up but said they didn't have the trailer on site. At that time it was about 4:05 and I received a call on my mobile from Uhaul. I was informed that they did not have my trailer and perhaps I could get one the next day. I needed that trailer on July 31 when I reserved it with my credit card. I asked if they had that trailer at another location within 30 miles. They told me they didn't. I exclaimed it was unacceptable. I said I held the reservation with my credit card. The agenda told me "we didn't charge your card sir". As if that mattered. The point is, if I had not showed up, Uhaul would have charged my card but Uhaul apparently did not feel they were under the same duty to perform. Finally we settled for a much smaller open trailer. Far inferior to what I needed. And the price was actually higher. When I returned the trailer on August 6, I was charged through August 7th. This was a terrible instance of customer service and a lousy way of doing business. I was incredibly disappointed and my impression of Uhaul was marred.Jason G.

I reserved a storage unit online and surprised there was one available. Went to the facility after a long day of packing. I paid for the unit before even looking at it. We got to the unit and UHaul could not get "their" lock off. 3 employees have tried and myself included. They offered me a UBox and said yes your stuff would fit and after I paid for that and saw it. I just laughed. I got a refund on all the transactions hopefully. Spent 3 hours there and nothing was done. I give it to the staff for trying but I went over the miles on the rented truck what I was going to do looking for another storage unit. Very unhappy and spent more than what I was going to spend on miles, gas and my time. HOT TIP: make sure you look at the unit before you give them your credit card.Chris J. | Premières impressions

We checked out after hours. Could not lock the pad lock. Could not find the drop off box anywhere. Searched fir 30 mins. Dangerous location at night. Lots of homelytisming around. Best service I've ever had at a U-haul. This was a breath of fresh air. The lady that I rented the car dolly from was helpful and knowledgeable. She did a great job hooking it up to my vehicle and inspecting it when I came back to make sure I loaded the car on securely. I was so grateful for her helpfulness and pleasant nature. Oh, how I wish it was like this at at U-hauls.Layla T.

on way to picking u[ truck in early morning i get a text that tells me i have to go 20 mile further to get the truck which puts me 40 miles with out and back out of my way. then i get in truck and it literally says it has 3 miles until empty!!!! seriously!!!Michele L.
The employees were all helpful and nice. My biggest complaint is that I always had to wait on the phone for long period , sometimes over an hour. Than when someone did answer I found out it was the wrong number. They would give me another number to call and that would be the wrong number. Also your billing department is really messed up. I had two contract numbers and than got billed double. It was always going to be straightened out but never was. I probably will have to resort to disputing the charges. Your girl pick up and delivery people were fantastic. Very friendly and considerate of my belongings. I had 4 u-hail boxes and when they were delivered to my home to unload one of the boxes handle was so damaged I could even get my lock off. We had to use a peer drill and take the screws out to get my items. You ended up with my lock. I had an abundant supply of blankets which I put several in the damaged box and also several in the other 3 boxes. I appreciated all the blankets which they all were returned to you. I think you need to improve your telephone contacts and your billing. Best part of your company were the pick up and delivery personnel.lexis L.

Truck was not loaded with any of the supplies I ordered. We had a recruit additional help in order to move without utility and furniture dollies. I had to use personal blankets because I was not provided with furniture covers I ordered. When I arrived to return truck, we were made to wait 40min while the person attempted and failed numerous times to check us out. I was double charged for equipment and mileage was incorrect. I would like to mention though, the initial reservation sent me to the Indio travel center - which does not even carry trailers. The reservation showed guaranteed, which it was not at that location - a little disappointing. Fortunately, the operator there knew where to send me and all was resolved. The people at the HWY 111 location were terrific! Very satisfied.MICHAEL B.

We had trouble on the road with an adapter plug coming out which in effect made our trailer lights inoperable. Not only dangerous but illegal. We called a UHAUL store in Los Banos CA and had to deal with a guy who offered no assistance and sent us to Auto Zone for help. A couple hundred miles down the road I stopped to check the trailer and realized that both of the lights did not work, just the left one was blinking very rapidly. I was super disappointed i our CA UHAUL experience and very relieved to drop it off.KATY LYNN W.

The locations were great. NEVER count on your reservation as an actual reservation. I reserved a trailer two weeks ago, flew down to San Diego to pick it up andâ€¦they didn't have it until the following day at a different location. Best part, the reservation people at Uhaul don't care.DONALD B.

The 10' truck I reserved was not available and the 15' truck I was rented was on empty. I was told that they didn't have any gasoline on site and I had to go to a gas station immediately. The windshield had been replaced and I was told that the tape on the windshield had to stay on for another day. The antenna was snapped off and the radio didn't get reception.
